Best piercing experience I’ve ever had. I was so hesitant to come here because mall piercing shops get a bad rep, and I was looking to get my septum done. coming from someone who has had 6 piercings at all different places and piercings shops, i by far had the best experience here. Greg made sure I was safe and comfortable and let me choose what type of jewelery I wanted which is something not many piercing places do. He was also super funny and personable and made sure I was safe and comfortable the whole time. He even verbally asked me after the piercing was over if I was okay, if I felt safe etc. not only this, but he fixed a piercing that a DIFFERENT piercer messed up for FREE and then refused to take my tip, as he felt bad I had gone through that experience with the other piercer. Greg is a great piercer but an even better person. 10/10 would recommend to anyone getting any sort of piercing.
I got a nose piercing less than two weeks ago from. Everyone was very nice. The guy made me less scared and relaxed when he was doing it. It didn’t really hurt at all. It was just more uncomfortable than hurting. I recommend get your nose pierced here. They only take cash but there is an ATM close by in the mall.
I got my nose peirce here on August 18th 2019. I had a great experience here. The employee is very nice. She explained everything, made sure I understood everything and made sure that I was ready. She cleaned all the instruments properly. Gave me everything I need to take care of the piercing. They are a cash only store so if you want to get a piercing from here just make sure you have cash on you. They pricing is a decent price for all piercing. The procedure was quick and easy literally. I would highly recommend this place.

The man (sorry that I forgot his name!) who took care of my daughters nose piercing was patient and kind, knowledgeable and overall awesome. He made a very nervous teenagers experience much easier. So glad we went here!
I went there today for my 2nd nose piercing on the other side of my nostril, and the piercings were not at all even or lined up. Employees are very nice, and for my first experience there it was great! But for the 2nd time there, I definitely wasn’t happy with the way it came out, I had to take the new one out because it looked so off and wrong.
I got my seconds done here within 15 min of walking in without an appointment. The man was very easy going. Btw this place is cash only

Got my 3 & 4 ear cartilage piercings. There. I was in an out on a Friday evening. The staff was amazing & answered questions & gave clear after-care instructions. However, it is cash only. Who still carries cash

The male staff member was rude and unhelpful but the female who pierced my best friend was fast helpful informative and she was easy to talk to getting us in and out fairly quickly, only downside was the rude male and its a cash only place.
I’m 15 and got my nose pierced with parental signing. Greg was very friendly and walked me through the whole process. He made jokes while it happened to distract me from the pain. Definitely will come back. Thanks Greg! :)

The man who works here is super rude and doesn’t know what he’s doing. A lady had appointment and was told she had to wait 30 more mins in the rudest way and wouldn’t let us make a appointment. He told us we were in the wrong and was not professional in anyway. Never coming here again and didn’t even get a piercing.
Did a walk-in to get a septum piercing on my birthday on a work trip in Milford. The shop was busy, so I figured this was a good sign. I was a bit on the fence/nervous. Greg was working solo, with a no-nonsense attitude with loads of sarcastic - a quality advertised all around his shop. My nose is shaped a bit funny at the tip, so he had to pierce it twice, almost... but Greg was very friendly and kind - in his own way, of course. He is a veteran in the business and knows a LOT about piercings. He convinced me to use their titanium metals for all my piercings. In some miscommunication, I didnt get pierced with the right ring I had wanted so Greg offered to switch my horseshoe to a hoop in a few days, on the house. GREAT SERVICE! I am so happy with my piercing. Thanks again Greg and Generation X.
When I got my belly piercing here it was an easy and comfortable, the lady was very professional. But the guy was so disrespect, he liked to make jokes but he was rude and even smacked me in the face and thought he was playing around. I will not come back and spend my hard earned money for that level of disrespect

Had my belly button pierced in January and they did not do it correctly forcing me to remove it because of the pain and was starting to rip the skin. I now have a permanent scar, your better off going to someone who knows what they are doing.

The only place Ill go to get any piercings first time I went 15 years ago had to go through some medical situations where I had to remove my piercings havent seen them and at least 10 years walked into the store they remembered who I was put in my nose and tragus piercings for me again without any charge I love these guys theyre great only place I know that has the complete certifications that they do not only just a certificate for piercing
Got my nose pierced here last june. didn’t have any issues with the piercing. i thought the guy was really nice and friendly w me. however them not answering phone calls is seriously annoying and wish they had a website with prices. had to wait an hour and a half for an appointment even though their board was empty during the hour and a half i was waiting
I have been a loyal customer since 2015. I’ve gotten multiple piercings at generation X, about a year ago I got my septum pierced, the ring started to have a odor to it remind you it’s healed, I clean it often but it’s time for it to be changed. When they pierced it they tightened the ball on with the tool so it had less of a chance of coming off, which was very much so appreciated. I guess they hired new people this in the past year or so, so when I went in and told the girl I had got it pierced here and I’ve tried everything to get the ball off but I couldn’t I was hoping they could, (yes I was willing to pay) until she told me $35 & then gave me a attitude. I am VERY dissatisfied with this service & I will not be returning.
Got my first nose piercing at 15 yrs old with parental consent. They took a walk in with no problem. Very friendly and efficient service. They pierce with titanium, 100% nickel free. Cleaning instructions were clear. Less painful than I expected.BONUS: they have you take a picture of the aftercare instructions sheet in instead of papers that get thrown away after a couple days. Saving trees, woo hoo!
I got my belly button pierced here and it unfortunately rejected, but as soon as i took the flexi ring out of my stomach to properly clean it, both balls instantly snapped in half. i had went with a friend to get their nose pierced at a proper piercer and the piercer instantly pointed out that it was crooked and how he instantly knew i went to gen x to get it. do not recommend going here.

I recently just got my nose, tongue and both nipples pierced almost two weeks ago and Ive been healing great. The crew is great and funny as hell! This wouldnt be the first time Ive went due to previous ear piercings ( 4 on each ear) on different occasions but its my number one place I go to when getting anything pierced!

NEVER again will I go here, its been terrible for a while now and the last few times I would never get any service here. This time I had the RUDEST man Ive ever met, rude about having to get something out of the case to let me look at it,with the intention to buy because it was only 2 for $5, stood there for a minute in silence without him putting the rings I wanted on the counter, so I go to grab one of the rings out and he actually SLAPS MY HAND AWAY!! I stand confused and try to ignore what just happened, as he throws them on the counter I pick one, and he starts rushing me putting them away til I stated probably the longest and anyone has ever heard, not to mention it was only me and my mother in the shop. I picked another, I walk over to pay and he SNATCHES the money right out of my hand before even actually ringing me up. It came to $6.38, I look at my receipt and I was right he charged me 2 for 6, at this point someone actually came in and as they talked to the man I waited very patiently until he was done, I stated that it was 2 for 5 and that he accidentally charged me 6. He got all upset No! 2 for 6! I thought for a second, still very polite, and said No I saw it say on the tag it was 2 for 5, and that made it worse NO! ITS 2 FOR 6 GO LOOK! So I march over there and see the case clearly says TWICE 2 FOR 5 I tell him Um yeah I was right its definitely 2 for 5 NOT 6! He gets huffy saying he has to look, picks it up sees it says 5 not 6 and mumbles oh I guess it is a 5, he fixed it and gave me something about how it had to be changed and blah blah, its been like that for months I was just never waited on. I honestly regret not walking out or calling authorities as soon as I was hit!
I just now got my helix pierced and only paid $10.64. i didn’t get to get the name of the girl that pierced my ear but she had brown and blonde hair. she was so nice and explained how to clean my piercing. it didn’t take long either. i walked in and out. i 100% recommend generation x!
I was skeptical at first because of all the one star reviews but I actually loved this place! I got my industrial bar done (I had asked earlier whether or not they did them still) and I don’t know the name of the woman who did it, but she was so nice and she knew exactly what she was doing! She gave me the history of keeping holes open and explained how it’s changed and why you shouldn’t turn the fresh stud or bar. She explained to me what she was using to pierce me and how she was doing it, she explained why new holes sometimes get infected and what metals to avoid. She showed me how to clean it and she was so knowledgeable about what she was doing, I felt so safe in her hands. Overall, they have some really cute jewelry and it’s a cute, cozy little place, not intimidating at all, it definitely takes the edge and the nerves off of waiting to get a new piercing. I’ll definitely come back if I get another piercing, and I definitely recommend this place to everyone looking to get piercings!
Ive had all my piercings done professionally in this place i never talk to the guy but this time he was the only one whos there he was so ruuuude he shut me off multiple times and i got so disappointed i didnt even finish my talk smh i heard about him before being so disrespectful this shop will loose their costumers because of him
Very rude and unprofessional. They don’t answer the phone but they said that they do walk-ins. We went in to be to greeted by this rude guy telling us to make an appointment or come back another day. When I asked him why is it that they don’t answer the phone he said “because we just don’t “. Don’t even waste your time. Go somewhere else.
They stop doing piercings an hour before they close. They wont make appointments over the phone which sucks for people driving far to get there or for people with a busy schedule. If you get there and they have an appointment scheduled for that day they have no problem asking you to come back in 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours even if there is no one else in the store. The staff is polite, but their customer service is lacking. Id suggest that you go down the street to Paradise Tattoo. They do piercings and tattoos... Just remember to bring your ID.
It would be great but the male who works there is rude. I have been in this store several times and he is always rude to me. I dont know why and dont care. The service is great and everyone else is friendly, but he is extremely rude. I recommend the business but not his mannerisms.

I would give this store a rating of 0 if possible. If youre looking for any kind of helpful or respectful customer service, this is definitely NOT the place to go to. I went in on Saturday Dec 9 between 5-6 PM with my sister, hoping to either get two simple piercings done on my lobes or schedule an appointment to do so. The owner of the store was in at the time and this man made customer service sound like a joke. Didnt greet or acknowledge either of us, was not accommodating at all for an appointment. Beyond rude and disrespectful. Literally the worst, most unbelievable experience Ive ever had in any store in my entire life. This was and is completely disgusting and unacceptable. Again, if youre looking to be treated with an ounce of respect or any kind of service do not come to this place. I will never come here again, and would advise anyone reading this to take their money elsewhere, because the owner of this store does not want your business

Worst experience Ive ever had. Belly button piercing became infected immediately. Two doctors and $120 worth of more supplies and jewelry, and the thing rejected and ripped right out of me anyway. Now I have a $200 scar. They told me that the flexible plastic jewelry was the safest. When I went to the doctor, she laughed at me. It was stupid to trust anyone from this place, especially since when I walked in I saw someone trying to get help for their VERY infected tongue piercing. They couldnt speak, and I still got my belly button pierced there. Dumbest mistake. And they werent all that nice either! Well, I guess you live and you learn.
We called and no answer, apparently you cannot make appointments over the phone and you have to go in and drive 24 hours before to make an app for the next day which we couldn’t. We drove an hour only to be told that they can’t take us even though she only had two piercings left to do two hours before they closed. Don’t bother.

I dont know about any of the women, but the guy (who Im guessing is the owner) is the best piercer Ive ever been to an did all of my piercings with the needing. Hes really informative about everything and didnt just give me my triple helix just because I asked. I was going on vacation to a lake and he advised me to do it after because of bacteria and that was probably the best thing I could have done

I have gotten my nose, septum, smiley, daith and helix done here throughout over three years and each time there has been no problems. I dont know her name, but the woman with long brown hair & glasses who works on mondays is incredibly sweet and a great piercer. She is wonderful at making the customers feel comfortable. I have recommended this place to plenty of my friends who have gone here for piercings and theyve loved it.
I have never had a negative experience at this establishment. My daughter got her nose pierced for her 18th birthday almost two years ago and the owner, Greg was very professional and helped her decide what was best for her. Anyone who says he is rude obviously does not understand sarcasm. They usually give you discounts if you are patient and polite to them, and are very knowledgeable whether you have a question about jewelry, or piercings themselves. I highly recommend them.

I went in with three of my friends, Greg is really disrespectful. We told him the order we would like to do the piercings in. He tried to force me to go first when I told him we would really like to go in this specific order. He then told me I couldn’t get my piercings but my friends could. I was nothing but pleasant with him and his attitude was disgusting. I will never come back here again. Very bad customer service.

Honestly i’ve been in this shop sooooo many times, to get pierced and for jewelry that’s pretty high quality. Their prices for everything is very fair, and honestly, cheaper than what i’ve seen before. The staff there are funny and make you feel comfortable, and they really value cleanliness both in the shop and when you leave and clean your piercings on your own. I love it so much, 10/10 place.

Customer service is awful. The staff all seem to have crappy attitudes for no reason. The girl that was helping me pick out jewelry for my nipple piercings had no clue what she was talking about, but was quick to talk over me and rush me out the store even though there were no other customers she had to be bothered with. Ive only ever gotten one piercing from this place and it was done incorrectly, so I usually only go there for jewelry, but the new staff have completely turned me off of this place. There are plenty of other piercing shops in New Haven, West Haven, Milford area. Unless youre just looking for a cheap piercing, Id go somewhere else.
Had piercings done here some years ago and am STILL so upset that I need to rate them. They didnt use any form of mouth wash or disinfectant until I asked. At least 2 of my piercings from there rejected. The male manager there is THE WORST. He was there for two of my piercings and I still cannot believe the kind of rude behavior he had. Do not go here.

I had a horrible experience with the manager recently... So unfortunate because I had my daith pierced here a little over a year ago and the girl that did it did an amazing job and was so sweet and helpful. However, the man working there is rude and helped everyone except me, even people who came in after me... I didnt get upset, I just waited my turn. When it finally came to be my turn he looked at me and said what do you want. I said that I would like to get my belly button pierced. He said wow... youre like the last person in the world Id think would get their belly button pierced. everyone who comes to get it done is like 14. He said he can tell by looking at me that I have a deep belly button... I asked him what that even meant and he said I can just tell by looking at you which I feel means he probably thought I was fat and also told me I am too old to get a belly button piercing since I wasnt 14 years old.. Im only 23 and am not fat (not like it matters, I should receive the same customer service and human treatment as anyone else). I confronted him afterwards and told him how much of a jerk he was being and demanded to speak to a manager. He said he was the manager and that I should have a nice life and get out of his store. I called the mall to ask how I could complain about him and they said I would have to come in and fill out a form and it would be given to the stores manager... but if he actually is the manager thats a waste of my time. DO NOT GO HERE. Give your business to a place that actually DESERVES it...
I went here to get my nose pierced, when it was time to take it out and change it, the woman had cut it so short and curled it so tight in my nose it was impossible to get out! I literally couldnt get the damn thing out of my nose! Neither could my friends with piercings, eventually I ripped it out by accident 🙄

I got my lip pierced here a week and a half ago.Its still red and sore in the outside.I just learned from my tattoo artist who is also a piercer that what the woman said to do was completely wrong.She told me to use Alcohol based mouthwash and Sea salt treatment.I just found out that they used sterling silver stud when they should have used surgical steel.My other two friends got piercings there to and still have irritation.My best friend had got snake bites and they gave him a small size so he had to take out both piercings.His mom got a belly button piercing and it was to small so it caused pain and irritated the skin.She just got it changed at our tat artist.DO NOT GO HERE.Please go to a professional studio.

DO NOT GO HERE. if i could give this place 0 stars i would. their peircing BROKE in my ear and i go back and show them and they go “no refunds”. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING HERE. they are rude and do not know how to treat customers. any normal business would refund a customer that spent 40 dollars on a peircing if it BROKE in their ear, but not them! when i asked nicely, they said “oh, absolutely not”. those are exact words. they have enough bad reviews on here for anyone considering this place to know NOT to go here. after giving it a try, i am extremely disappointed in this store and i would highly suggest re-thinking this place if you’re considering going. there are hundreds of better places in milford than this place.
