Been coming here for 25 years now always pretty good. Little slow with the coffee most days but got the good old school feel which I like.
Denise was an absolute pleasure! She really made the difference for us between a regular restaurant sit down and feeling well taken care of by our server. She was attentive without stepping on our toes. OH, and the specials that day were really delicious too!

After about 1 hour, our food finally came. We sat at the counter, on a somewhat busy day, and ordered a pancake, and an omelet. I don’t consider that to be a 54-minute wait, for mediocre food at best. Wont be coming back here anytime soon. Wouldnt come grab the check when I needed change. Just miserable

This is probably honestly just a biased opinion, but this is my go-to spot for steak and eggs (med rare & over easy) washed down with one of their advertised mimosas. Great food cooked perfect everytime, even the homefries get that perfect slight crunch, served up with great service.

Went inside and waited 15 minutes to never be acknowledged by any staff. Yet, we could see the staff in the back looking at us. Walked by us several times and never said hi or made eye contact. Disrespectful. Went to iHop instead. There was a wait, but at least they had respect and communicated with the customers.
Closed an hour early so we couldnt eat there.
Found the place by accident. A friend lives in the area and looking for breakfast. It was great. Eggs Benedict and blueberry pancakes. Live 50minutes away and gon for breakfast multiple times
Our waitress was the sweetest lil ol lady ..we tipped her $28 on a 52 dollar bill ...sweetheart

We are from Connecticut and have breakfast at this location, it was the best choice we could make, it was like being at Grandmas house the food tastes so good just like home made, the owner and the waitress were so welcoming and very nice, they make you feel like you were home I had the best Egg Benedict of my life it was delicious and my kids and the other family we went with were also amazed by the service and quality of their food, we are already talking about coming back soon, we highly recommend Johnny Jacks all their food is delicious and to top it off the service is excellent .

I was visiting my sis when she suggested this restaurant for lunch. Love the owner who visits all of her patrons and chats to get to know them! The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is simply wonderful: very flavorful and large quantities. The prices are reasonable, too. We stopped there for breakfast and I had eggs benedict, which was divine! The day we returned to North Carolina, the owner and staff wished us safe travels and a quick return for another visit. We left feeling like part of the Johnny Jacks family!
We showed up with a group of 14 people on a Sunday morning following a family wedding the night before. They made room for us and gave us the very best of helpful friendly service. And the food was great too. A very good experience. Wish we all werent from so far away, so that we could be a regular.
Cash only, first of all. but they got an atm. this is the greatest place ever. my friend lives down the street and we go like every time i come. the wait staff is amazing, so warm and welcoming. they remember us and greet us so nicely. Food is excellent comfort breakfast food.

Great friendly staff, but the food and atmosphere was not good. Seems to be a place for older frequent patrons, not for welcoming new, younger customers.Our server was very nice and the ?hostess or manager? was very welcoming.The tomatoes on my benidict were slimy and gross.The home fries flavor seemed cheap and off.The pancakes werent crispy and with the bananas and blueberries, it tasted undercooked.The bacon was like rubber; I prefer mine chewy anyways, but I believe most (like my fiance) expect it crispy.There was one bottle of red hot I had to share with another customer.The decor and seating seemed to be from the 80s, I could feel every spring in the booth.They dont accept cards, only cash (though they do have an atm).
I love their breakfast selection. The portion they gave filled me up! Great retro atmosphere. The staff was very nice, which is a huge element. It can get busy at times, resulting in slower service though. It took us 15 minutes to get our food once, but it was worth it to me

What terrible experience. This place is ROACH infested..nasty. we killed the the roaches and showed it to the waitress, she apologized. Took the dead roaches to Mario the owner. He offered a $20. Compensation of a $130 bill. the cups and plates are old they stink. They Need New silverware bad dinnerware. This is not the Johnny jacks I remembered. I should have listen to my friends of their bad experience
Waited 20 minutes, but wasnt recognized as being there. Staff walked past us many times with out acknowledging us. Our order was taken quickly, but took 40 minutes. Food was good and cooked how I like. But then had to chase our bill. Weve been here a couple times before, had a better experience. Maybe they were short staffed

Updated: came here the other day and for a family business they worked pretty hard on doing their best to make the interior as covid friendly as possible, The food times have also gotten quicker even with a minor price increase its actually looking a lot better than it was before

Home made hash was good waitress was kind however she talked so much to the other waitress it took forever to get coffee food or any kind of service. Place has a weird feel its like a convenient store in front with the lotto and atm. Who only takes cash in 2019
I love the breakfasts here. I go once every other week in the morning. The food is always good and the service is fast and friendly. I like the regular menu and the daily specials are good too.

The restaurant presents a nice casual atmosphere. I had breakfast and although it was done quickly, the prep did not look rushed and was very good. I didnt have time to wait for one of their more special items that would take more time the service was good also. I would go back and explore the menu more when I have more time.
The hostess is nice when she takes your order, and the coffee and drinks are pretty neat. Tastes fresh! Havent tried their food yet, hoping to go back, really calm and cozy. Nice atmosphere.

Very Disappointed in this restaurant. Expensive, to say the least. Dont be fooled by the menu. Had to pay almost $10 for your average breakfast of Home fries, eggs, coffee and toast. Very slow service. The waitress took her own sweet time in serving us, when there were 6 customers in the entire place (including us). Never coming back here. Save your money and go elsewhere. Oh also, its Cash Only.
Solid diner style breakfast, they serve alcohol and have late hours. The prices were reasonable and the service wasnt bad. If youre around late and need a bite to eat, Johnny Jacks is a solid choice.

It took about an hour to get my breakfast! The home fries were bland as was the bacon, but the eggs over easy were perfect. The staff was very nice.
Lets start with the positive; very friendly waitstaff, open 24 hours Friday and Saturday. It has a retro theme more because of lack of updates than intentional design. We went for breakfast. One side of the pancakes had a crust to them, it was difficult for an adult to cut them with a fork and knife. My wifes omelette was made as you would expect. Mine had the cheese thrown on top of the outside of the Omelette which I can only assume was because they forgot to put it in when originally making the omelette. Home fries had a strange taste to them, all four of us agreed and didnt eat them. Only bottom shelf liquor available. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and the price charged. It would have been better if cost reflected the quality of the food, they are overcharging for the quality. We would prefer to go to a nicer place and get what we pay for. We do not plan to return.

Weve been eating breakfast at Johnny Jacks for 18 years. Always great food, friendly service.Whenever I get visitors from Czech, UK, Singapore etc I take them here to get a good American diner breakfast, they all enjoy the experience and the food. Myself, I love the homefries!
This is definitely a local staple. Everyone knows your name and is happy to chit chat about whatever is new. The food isnt anything to write home about, but the people are like family.

Everything you would ever want in a greasy spoon diner. Would give it 5 but parking is tough at times. Although still worth the visit. Awesome breakfast, great staff.

Just keep driving. Took almost 45 minutes to get an omelette and a pancake and the place was deserted. My white toast was crunchy before they toasted it. And there was a hair in my eggs. Waitress was... Eh. So many better places in the area. Do yourself a favor and Google them instead.
I went to this restaurant two weeks ago for Sunday brunch with a friend, ordered one omelet and it took over 45 minutes to arrive. I could have gone to a farm, waited for a chicken to lay 3 eggs, then harvested my own fruits and vegetables and made my own omelet in faster time. Honestly not sure what was going on in the kitchen, but our waitress didnt keep us updated on the situation or explain if there was a problem. It seemed this was pretty normal... the food was mediocre when it arrived. I didnt expect much in terms of quality, given low price and remote location, but I definitely didnt expect to wait 45 minutes.

Been going to this place for over 20 years. Sometimes theres a wait on the weekends but nothing longer then 20 minutes. The staff is super friendly and love their jobs. The food is inexpensive and theres great service as well. Most of the staff has been there for 10 years or longer. Love the owners and they will come out and make sure your food is great and you have what you need. Great for brunch and mimosas!
A friendly diner! Three things to be prepared for: CASH ONLY, and there is no baby changing table, bathrooms really arent wheelchair friendly. Great food and they have creative specials.

My family and I enjoy going to Johnny Jacks. They have great food. Im just a little disappointed that the last 2 times we went there, we were served with dirty dishes. So I am sad that we werent able to enjoy our breakfast.

My second experience at Johnny Jacks was not the greatest. They severed my daughter hot chocolate with lipstick on the class from someone taking a sip, my daughter is only 9 and dont wear lipstick. I was so disgusted by this. Knowingly she could have caught some kind of sickness or getting sick. This will be my last visit at Johnny Jacks. Clean your dish please. I wonder how many people was sick due to dirty dishes and Poor service.
We just got a standard breakfast. nothing fancy. There just wasnt enough to make it more than just standard and when youre a dime a dozen breakfast place you need something to make it more than just...eh...
