Ive been a Milpitas resident for almost 6yrs. I like the fact that I can find most of what I need on a single visit here but unfortunately I do have a hard time getting specialized guidance when I need to, specially on week nights or weekends, when the store is usually busier.Is staff expected to hear about our personal project needs and give recommendation, making sure we find what we need or is it a mix of some staff that are indeed expected to do it but others who are only working on re-shelving things? I ask because I had occasional luck with certain staff that I approached here over the years but most of the time I feel like Im bugging their time, where they dont usually turn to listen to me or will to walk down the aisle a bit to guide me through where I need to go. Therefore the overall shopping experience can feel a bit frustrating, hence why Im giving it 4 stars.
I placed an order online for in-store pickup. Id done so on several occasions prior only to show up at the store and wait nearly 30 minutes for my items to be picked even though Id been notified my order was ready to be picked up.This most recent occasion was a pleasant surprise as I was in and out of the store in under 5 minutes. It totally fit the ideal expectation of an in-store order fulfillment. I give this visit 5 stars, but 3 stars overall because of the inconsistency of the in-store pickup process.
I ordered a 30 gallon stand up Dewalt air compressor online from the Home Depot website and had them ship it to this location. When we came to pick it up there was a lot of confusion as to where we could park to load it in the back of the truck. Finally I convinced and employee to let me park near the loading zone.After picking up the compressor we took it back to work and fired it up unfortunately it literally fell apart within 30 seconds of it starting up!!! Then stopped working completely!!Having a lost complete confidence in this air compressor and not wanting to return it for another we took it back to the Home Depot where there was no questions asked and they refunded our money without any hassles
Waited 20 minutes to be helped when purchasing a grill. Spoke to 4 different employees and asked for them to send someone to help. Litetally stood around for 20 minutes as employees wandered in and out and wouldnt help or ask if we needed help. Then when the product was located it has a different price tag then the display piece. Two employees speaking to each other, a cashier and an employee who worked in the grill section were telling each other we must have switched the tags, or were looking at a different model. Didnt appreciate being discriminated against. Yes we were speaking Spanish, but I also speak perfect English and didnt thing we deserved their attitude. Then the workers who helped load the grill also were giving attitude and talking rude. Never coming back to this store again.

A complete store for your house related stuff. Whether it be plants, plumbing, appliances, lighting, remodeling, manufacturing, tools, truck rentals, etc... you can get everything from this location. They have great collection of indoor plants and they are better in price compared to other nurseries. They also have high quality, well built and decent price home and gardening tools. They staff members are knowledgeable but difficult to find given the store is huge. Check out is quick. They also have self check out counters. For online pick up orders they have lockers now. So no more wait in line. When your order is ready you will get a locker code. Just go to the locker area and enter the code. Thats it. Parking gets difficult sometimes as its in the Great Mall area.
I need planting pot and check the price. Best place to get pot for plants. I was in Wal-Mart in the morning but there are nothing all sold out.
This is a great store, but as with all Home Depots you have to understand how to use and work within the system. patience is the order of the day especially when they get busy, most of their staff were helpful and Care, some of them are even experts in the Departments that theyre in. this store is one of the biggest stores that Ive seen complete with a large rental area great selection of materials and a huge Garden area. theyve got lots of pro parking although parking for non Pro customers can sometimes be very difficult when the Great Mall is in full swing.

Although they offer curbside pickup, I cant recommend you take them up on it. I was trying to fit a stop here into my day, so I did curbside, but after 20 minutes with no sign of anyone coming, I went inside to find that the staff hadnt been aware of my order and it hadnt been readied despite the website saying it was ready. What would have been a 7 minute stop normally ended up 40 minutes .A side note that my car was dinged in the parking lot while I was inside (not necessarily Home Depots fault, but frustrating given that I would have been with my car or gone already if the curbside pickup would have been operational), so Im likely more frustrated than a normal bad experience, but regardless, look to Target for good curbside pickup- not Home Depot.
Much, much better staffing. No long lines to check out, as a matter of fact no lines at 8:30 PM, hope it stays this way.

Another bad experience at this store. Waited over 30 minutes trying to get help in lumber and milling. Eventually I was told the staff had gone home 15 minutes earlier. Prices online dont match in store. Run around then trying to get pricing adjustment. I dont plan to come back here.

Be sure you call ahead and confirm that A. the person that will assist you in the lumber dept is not on break B. the machine for cutting the lumber is working or you will waste 45 minutes like I just didarrived at 11amfound the lumber I wanted myselfasked someone to cut if for me- they called four times for someone to help cut ithalf an hour nowspoke to the supervisor at the front desk and she said the manager is on lunch so no one can help youwe waited for 15 more minutes for the manager to finish their breakthe manager NEVER camewent back to the front supervisor again who THEN asked someone in lumber and he said the machine to cut the lumber has not worked for MONTHSwould be nice to know that 45 minutes earliertried to speak to the manager about this rather then post BUT he was on break

LOWES IS CHEAPER AND HAS BETTER QUALITY Me and my brother go there every single day for our jobs. We bought a stove last week . they said it would be delivered ln friday . today it has not came . when called they said there was no report of a purchased stove. Im looking at my copy of the receipt right now. Im staring at the pictures and videos i make every single day and there is plenty of proof of purchase on my phone. I will never step foot in that place again. LOWES HAS BETTER DEALS AND IS WAY CHEAPER

Bad experience regarding recent purchase! We ordered concrete on 4/16, the store receipt shows the delivery date will be on 4/17, so we have scheduled workers to come to my house to do the work on Monday (4/19). On 4/17, we waited for the whole day, but didn’t receive anything (not even a phone call regarding the delivery!) we went to store to check the status, but they told us that the delivery has been cancelled. I wondered why there is no one contact us! After a long wait, one of their managers came to helped us, and said he will arrange the store vehicle to deliver the concrete on Monday (4/19). The store will give me a call in the morning to let me know the delivery time.On 4/19, I waited until 11am, but didn’t hear anything from them, then I call the store for checking the status, but the first customer service person said you have to come to store to pick up by yourself! I was surprised! And told the person the conversation on Saturday “ your manager said he will arrange the vehicle to deliver!” The 1st customer service person said” ok, I will check with manager.” Then I waited for over 30 mins! Then 2nd customer service person answered the phone, he said he is “associate manager”, and also told me they don’t have the vehicle to deliver the concrete. I told him that “then why the manager on Saturday told me you can do that! “ if they told me they cannot do that, I can reschedule my workers! They were waiting for the concrete in my house! That’s not acceptable! The 2nd customer service person said he will talk to store manager to report it, and call me back. I waited for an hour, but still did not receive any responses, the I called store again! The 3rd customer service person answered the phone, I told her the conversation regarding the delivery, she said the store scheduled the delivery on 4/29! I was shocked! I didn’t receive any notifications before they scheduled! I asked for transferring me to the manager, I need to talk to them directly. The 3rd customer service person said “All the managers are in the meeting! They cannot answer your phone!” Which I cannot trust them any more! I was so mad! I told them transfer me to any of your manager, I need to talk to them directly! The 3rd customer service person said “I can transfer you, but cannot guarantee they can answer the phon!” I said “yes, I will wait!” After a long wait, a 4th customer service person answered my phone, she said she have already heard the whole “story”, she can arrange to deliver 10 bags of the concrete today (I ordered 60 bags!), and arrange another delivery on 4/22. If I couldn’t accept it, they cannot do anything else! I’m so tired of these conversation, they lost all my trust! Finally I cancelled the entire order! Thank you for these kind of service!!!
They have what you need. They lose one star for their checkout. If you can avoid and order online you are better off until the pandemic ends. Checkout is ridiculous. Most the self checks are out or broken so theres a long line of frustrated people not social distancing. Thats not once its every time you go. Stay home stay safe.

Customer service for flooring is worst among all home Depot in bay area. We were left waiting to take our order for more than half an hour without anyone coming to help us.

Rude. Big white guy named Greg is not all there in the head. I inaverdantly walked in from the exit and he stared me down and sternly told me to get out while pointing at the door. He looked like he was about to attack me. Weird dude. His job was to sit at the exit and play on his phone. Update: other reviewers have also described a big white guy who stared people down.All employees were just standing around socializing, no customer service. Its funny that the manager walked by the carpet section and told its own employees to social distance, which they ignored.Two stars cause they are better stocked than Lowes.

I ordered my dishwasher here and the staff was very helpful. However, Im giving this a low rating due to the delivery service. They use a unreliable 3rd party delivery service- Bruce Logistics on call ID. I purchased my dishwasher on 1/2 and it was scheduled for delivery on 1/11. Ive received a text indicating it will be delivered on 1/11 from 8am-12:45pm a day prior. I stay home to wait for the delivery but didnt see any delivery by 12:30pm so I called the number back that left the voicemail. I waited on the phone for 30mins before getting a live operator to help. She told me someone will call me back for a follow up within the same day....and no phone call throughout the remaining of the day. I called the appliance delivery number on my invoice the next day (1/12) and waited again for another 30mins. She end up telling me the delivery will be reschedule to 1/16 with a different delivery service. This is bad/unacceptable service and I will definitely not order from Home Depot going forward.

Paid $14 shipping for $44 product, and additionally I had to visit store for in-store pickup for part of my order.Details: I ordered heavy duty boxes, medium boxes and tapes. Order total ~$70. I paid $14 shipping because I did not want to go to store in covid times.Then I get an email that I need to pick medium boxes and tapes in store.So I paid $14 shipping for $44 worth heavy boxes (31% shipping). This is simply beyond any logic.Horrible customer service Home Depot!
Was the only place to find a bathroom while travelling across the state helping a friend move! Covid 19 Is serious and needs to be properly dealt with. But in all of Milpitas the only bathroom I could find was Home Depot !!! And it was nice and clean :) I highly discourage long trips across country if you havent Plotted out available rest stops lol With travel at all but this trip had to be made! Stay home stay safe stay near your own bathroom lol

The associate (in Milpitas store) is super nice and friendly helping us pick up our online items. Her name is Lasie(I dont know if I spell her name right), she is always smile taking us to the storage area to get our online order, you can tell she is very enjoy her work. I would like to give her a 👍.
You guys ran out of mini wax for staining because Im doing a dinning table man did you guys miss out just finished one large can and now I bought the second one not from you!😅 so whos ever bright idea 💡it was to take it off of shelf wasnt bright at all maybe a little stupidity or ignorance but man yall are still missing out because I only use mini wax stain for everything nothing elts comes close better stain all around
I went to Home Depot to look for something that my dad needed. I found it and with a great price. I also checked out the ranges and they have some quite nice ranges (stoves) for pretty decent price points. The sales guy seemed to be a bit disinterested in customers and just stood there and I had to approach him for assistance. I absolutely love going to Home Depot because there is so much to see. When looking for something specific, it is definitely the go to place. 🙂
Pretty good Home Depot. Of all the Home depots have been to this one has the cleanest organization. It usually has things in stock as well. Those are things that I cant say about the one in San Jose at the mall called The Plant

Your typical home depot. Well staffed and not overly crowded on weekdays and early weekend days. Conveniently located inside the Great Mall. No problems finding parking.
They treated me wonderfully and were well stocked. The staff was able to answer questions concerning product and application. I will return to this location anytime Im in San Jose.

This location is your pretty standard depot for homes. Nothing really stands out as far as customer service. Overall, it seems the employees prefer not to help, but then there are a few who have helped tremendously. The credit card is good, as is the phone customer service for the credit card. Before coming here be sure to ask yourself, Do I like to do it myself?
They sell plastic stuff but when i went to put the plastic waste they wouldnt take it. The city ‘s blue trash-can wouldnt take plastic bags. How to recycle their plastic waste? They shouldn’t sell anything plastic until they recycle it. Very irresponsible store people they made me feel like i dont have access to a trash can or something.

This stores aisles are clustered, and parking for it is bad at best. Dont try to go on some sale at the mall you will spend more of the day looking for a space to park. The people working there are helpful and polite. Thats the reason why I did not give lower star rating.

Stellar customer service at this Home Depot. Couldnt find a cheap shovel I came in for. A nice employee in the garden department tried and couldnt find it. She couldnt see without her glasses. Attempt noted.She spent about 10 minutes looking for a manager and when we found one, they gave me the cheap shovels price and have me the best success suitable for my needs.They might have not earned money off me but they won a customer for life.12/13/19, 12:10pm, aisle 10, manager who helped was Moises. I dont remember the lady who helped me but she deserves praise also.
Great store but an employee who was at the nursery section was making me feel uncomfortable as i asked him a question and seem to not have no knowledge about their products.A White male employee was seating down between the card-only self check out. I paid what i needed to purchase and approached him and I asked if they have any specific fertilizer i was looking for. 2 things went wrong. One, he wasnt looking at me or eye to eye with me. Instead he stared at my body up and down. It really made me feel uncomfortable. Two, he didnt even bother to help me look for the fertilizer on the system nor the shelves, he just said “i dont know” still STARING AT MY BODY!
Their saw in under repair since two months, and I keep coming back as I cant get lumber cut and fit into my car.Seriously, which prime home improvement store that sells lumber keeps their saw unfixed for two months in a row.Dont go there if you want your picked lumber cut.

With the new self checkout paired with the Home Depot app that tells you what aisle everything is on, the shopping experience at this location is prime. Much of the staff here has been around for while and are very knowledgeable. Parking can be crazy on weekends due to sharing parking lot with Great Mall
Went in to get a Cat6 cable which they had and at a better price than Frys. I also wanted a bottle of 409 cleaner, which they were out of. They only had 3 checkouts and the line was long, maybe a little bad timing on my part. And I looked at the pedestal type bathroom sinks, now I have to check to see if it will fit.
Its home depot good selection of hardware. If you use the website to find items it makes it easy to find what you want.
I’d give this location zero stars if I could for their poor customer service all the way up to their CS manager. They delivered an old, broken gas grill to me and after multiple calls are not being forthright and willing to schedule a pick up of the broken unit and give me a refund.All grill shoppers, if an assembled grill is delivered to you from this store, please inspect everything closely. My grill had broken knobs and upon closer inspection, they were not even original Weber knobs. They were Universal (3P aftermarket) knobs that didn’t even fit the Weber model I ordered.

I was disappointed to be in the outdoor plant section asking the outdoor cashier about the succulent plants I was buying to which she tells me she knows nothing about plants. Home Depot why do you have someone in a specialty area with no training about her area? No one else anywhere around to help me? And no plant pic cards with information about the plant on them?Please address this concern! This is an easy fix, if you are not going to ensure you have fully trained staff to help us with our plants, at least make sure that all the plants have cards in them to answer any questions we might have about them, and to tell us how to properly care for them!
