I was on vacation with my family, when my SUV started leaking break fluid . It was 10 pm on Sunday and i left a message Howard called me back on Monday at 645 am, He was a blessing he had my SUV back in the road by 9 am . Made a 11 AM appointment to have my truck looked at. Was asked if I wished to wait, and replied that I would stop back later. No phone update, so stopped back 5 hours later to check on progress. Howard promptly chewed me out for bothering him when he was busy. Told me to take my truck, which I did. With an attitude toward customers like that, I would not let him touch any vehicle of mine.

Top quality mechanics, explained everything to me before beginning any work, finished the work early, free loaner and very friendly service!

Use them for the basics, oil changes, tires Ive used them for all of that had horrible experiences through the years had the cooling system flushed cracked the top of the radiator which was plastic in the process. Which led to fluid loss and warping the heads,Had them replace the exhaust system I have a pristine 92 Lexus ES300 on those vehicles the exhaust system comes below the gas tank youll notice those on some Camrys as well.They selected a secondary supplier they put on a poor system it hanges several inches below where the original unit was. you cant go over anything without scraping, its about 4 in off the ground,I have to take speed bumps at an angle to make it Ive spent a couple thousand dollars all in all,I cant recommend them to anyone if you need any work other than basic oil change, topping off the fluids, go somewhere else.Howard might be a good employee, but he is not a good owner, he should take responsibility for everything that goes out the door.And if its not right make it right! Prior to giving it to the owner of the vehicle and letting them drive away and finding the issues later, after paying of courseThank you for your response Howard I received a service reminder card in the mail, which in turn reminded me of the service I had received. Which led to my review these many years later. I have taken care of all the other issues myself. However if you are truthful about the warranty on the exhaust and willingness to make things right, I will take you up on your offer, Ill schedule an appointment as soon as I feel I can put myself through this process.

I brought my car to Tires Plus originally and they quoted me the amount that was unrealistic. I asked a friend where she takes her car and told me about Howard. He did a good job. Horrible service, stop here once and you may not see it but overtime if you get to know the owner, get to know how he talks/treats his customers/employees and you’ll see it, because his prices are fair he acts like customer service and word of mouth isn’t how he got and maintained his business for as long as he has ....he’s a phony, he treats and talks to Pat any kind of way he feels like on any given day!That’s why some customers try calling in the afternoons so that we avoid talking to him altogether!Needless to say, I bring my vehicles elsewhere now.Updated 07/08/19 -- Before departing this business we did have a discussion Howard I recall you yelling and me listening attentively in shock, I value my privacy and wont reveal it to appease you.If your consistent reviews are good enough for the next customer GREAT!Im still one of those customers that prefers to make my own judgment calls on businesses as plenty of your customers should as well. I recently had some work done on my 2006 SS Chevy Impala and Howard was great. I have worked with him in the past and he is very trustworthy and knowledgeable. He always explains the situation and what he found to be the problem. He always calls before any work is done and quotes you a price. This time his work was actually under what he quoted and accepted a coupon on top of that. Minnetonka Auto Service is defiantly the best place in the area. I have gone other places and have never felt as reassured as when I go here. I now live way across town and it is still worth fighting all the traffic just to have my vehicle serviced here.

They helped my mother figure out the problem with her car and also quoted her a price to fix the issue that was so reasonable. The engine was overheating, after a reasonable priced diagnosis they took the time to explain to her what was going and what could happen if she did not fix the problem. I felt she was given enough information to make the correct decision. Her car was fixed the same day along with a free rental during the repair. They let me pay for half the bill over the phone and for her to pay the rest. Thank you crew at Minnetonka Auto Service. She is very glad to have found some mechanics she feels extremely comfortable with and already trusts, and it was only her first time there. Thank you.

Great customer service and quality work at a fair price.

I have been there couple of times now, one of the experiences was my power steering fluid was leaking very badly. I went to bobby and steves (theives!) and they said the power return hose was gone bad and provided an estimate of $450. I went back to Minnetonka Auto Service and he fixed it for $20. It seems the clamp bolt was loose. I have just had wonderful experiences so far I have been there. Now anytime I have a issue with my truck, I just call AAA and send it over there without even paying a visit to explain the problems!Try it once and you will stop looking any more further!-Rakesh
