Truly thankful! Received a quote elsewhere for a repair we thought was going to cost an arm and a leg; brought the car here to get a second opinion and the total for the labor, a test drive, and same day repairs cost less than the quote we received from the original place. Super grateful for the upfront honesty and hard work!

I was told the total would be 220 for my car repair due to deals they had going on. I go to pay and they inform me my total is over 500. Thats a significant difference. I get home only to find out they did more work on the car than I wanted done at that time. .. wont be going back.

Criminal! Refused to install my old tires which had plenty of life left in them. Forced me into spending way too much on tires. Not cool, won’t go back.

Joe is a man of integrity and honesty, which is why I go see him. I never have to worry about being up-sold, pressured, or question the service I am getting. In an industry riddled with ethically grey, that is definitely not the case at Joe’s store. Trust. It’s all about if you can trust the the professionals working on the 2nd most expensive investment most of us will have in our lives. You can trust Joe.

So a wheel bearing was starting to go on my car (if you drove it you’d be able to hear it has a distinct sound) so I called and set up an appointment and told them what the issues were. So I take it in and they tell me the wheel bearing is fine and that they had patched and tire and rotated them. A day later the noise is still loud as before and the low tire pressure light comes on, weird right? Called back and told them and they assured me they patched the tire and that the wheel bearing was fine and that it’s probably the tires needing to be balanced, after that I took it to another shop explained the problem and they tell me it’s the wheel bearing and patch the tire. Not sure if the people at Firestone are just lazy or incompetent but I would never recommend this shop unless you want to get ripped off.

Open till 6 on Saturdays but locked the doors at 5:17..... if you cant staff the times you advertise please update your website.

Firestone in Minnetonka is GREAT! They are very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous! They also are quick and efficient!They dont try tell you you need things done that you dont. I highly recommend this shop! I switched over to Firestone and happy I did!

I had a nail in my tire and it took them over hour to get me out of there. I was their only customer. Some random guy stopped by and distracted the technician who was working on my car and it was unprofessional. Simple tire plugs shouldn’t take that long.Fast forward to the next morning and I get a low-tire pressure alert...so they didn’t even fix it and let me go with a leaky tire.I call to schedule a follow up appointment to get it fixed and I got an appointment, but the scheduler was kind of rude. But it was leaking so bad that I had to go in early so I did. When I got there, I was told that they wouldn’t even look at it again, and that my only option was to purchase 4 brand new tires. They weren’t willing do anything about it at all. I won’t be coming back here.Not one to leave a review like this, but when it added up like this I have to. Bad experience.EDIT: After posting this review, management quickly contacted me and made it right. I changed the review from a 1 star to a 4 star. Thanks to management for reaching out.

They always fix my car right the first time. The master mechanic know his stuff. The prices are reasonable and they have a loaner car when its going to take a while.

The Ridgedale Firestone repair shop went way above and beyond tonight when I got a flat tire. They found 2 nails in it and beyond repair. They quickly replaced the tires with ones that will help me this winter too! I can’t thank them enough!!!!

I only get my car fixed here. I was told by another shop that I needed new rear brakes so I called around for pricing. Firestone had the best deal so I brought it to them. They looked at it and said that my rear breaks were almost new and I didnt need them. I come back because they are honest. There is a tech named Craig that I refer all my family and friends to. He even fixed my Old Jeep Wrangler that would always die when you put it in reverse. Nobody else could figure it out. Craig spent 3 hours trying to figure it out and fixed it with a zip tie. He only charged me the diagnostic fee to do all of this. Honestly I will never use another shop if I can avoid it. I cant say enough good things about them.

Had a horrible experience getting a quote for a service on my car. I had already done research on their website so when I was given the printed quote of what my car needed, I immediately noticed that they were telling me I needed the most expensive option without letting me know there were other options available that were less expensive. The woman at the front desk kept pushing the credit card on me when I told her multiple times I did not want it. I do not trust them to be honest and will not be going back.

Firestone was very quick and got us in last minute on a Sunday. Service was wonderful and friendly. Your waiting area is nice, and my kids enjoyed being able to watch cartoons.

I would not the my car anywhere else but here! Joe and his team are skilled, educated, and provide excellent customer service that puts your best interest as their top priority.

I called the store, and the staff was positive, friendly and polite and I was able to get a same day appointment for a oil change.They added the coupon without me having to to ask them to.When I arrived, they handled things very quickly and the car was in the bay before I got too the rest room.And out and ready before I could finish a cigarette.WOW!😃

He said he wouldn’t have slept knowing I could’ve had a flat that night or the next morning. He quickly got my tire repaired at a really fair price. We originally thought it would take an entire day. Mike, Dave, and Youssef were my men in shining armor! Sincerely grateful for the great service! I would highly recommend this shop again.

I highly recommend this place. I stopped in last minute because of noise in my tire. I would go back here again. It was nice to go somewhere that I didn’t feel like they were trying to take advantage of me and/or overcharge me. All of the professionals I dealt with were courteous, knowledgeable and kind.

I am not sure why there were so many negative reviews at this location. I have been bringing my Ford Escape here for 4 years for maintenance. Not only they offer yearly tire rotation deal at a good price, but also always checked if there were any else that was low or needed to be taken care of. Never pushed or even managed to make me pay more than what I came in for. They surely explain everything that needs to be done and what functions those part are used for and why they needed to be looked at once every while. Yeah, needless to say they are my life saver as they help take great care of my car.I am totally loyal to this location and would not hesitate to send everyone I know here!!

The waiting room is nicer than most auto shops but the service is so slow. I had an appointment to get 1 tire replaced. The new tire was shipped to the location and the flat tire was already off the car. I was a few minutes early for my appt and left to run errands and get lunch. I came back an hour and 15min later and it wasn’t done.It ended up taking 2 hours to get 1 tire mounted and balanced. It should have taken 20 minutes at the most. Either they have sloths doing the work or they book too many appointments for the amount of workers. Either way, I’ll go somewhere else for any future needs.

I have went to Firestone a few different times and will never return. I have never been happy with any of their repairs and Firestone is a greedy company that will do anything and tell you anything to get your money. I had a head gasket and alternator replaced and 2 1/2 years later they have failed. I had two belts replaced by them and they were loose and still squealing. They have more than an inch of play in them. They barely stay on the pulley!! Firestone cares about Firestone and the only thing about its customers they care about is your money. I had a timing belt replaced a month prior to Firestone telling me I needed a new one or it could destroy my engine. My car doesnt get destroyed from a timing belt breaking. Its a Honda and they lied and tried to scare me to get me to pay 1500$ for a job that was already done. They will lie and cheat you!!!!

Took a vehicle in for inspection before selling it & to have a headlight bulb replaced. The process took about an hour & they do a great job of giving you the info. you need. Id definitely take my other vehicles here for service, based on this experience.

My feelings are mixed here. Recent reviews suggested that this location was starting to do better than they used to. I went in for a Complete Vehicle Inspection deal they had going which included a tire rotation. The most immediate alarm was that no tire rotation was completed as they made no mention of my single rear tire that cannot be rotated due to it being a newer replacement. My inspection paperwork also came back saying all four of my tires are in excellent condition when three of them are almost out of tread. In a sad twist I wanted the inspection to check the integrity of my shocks and springs. I never expected that to mean they would blow off the rest of the inspection. At least the technician that let me directly inspect the condition of my car with him was nice and easy to talk to.

Joe & Kathy go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. I trust them and that is something that doesn’t come easy for me. Excellent business ethics!

Came in because I heard a loud noise coming from tires while driving got the $22 bumper to bumper inspection I was quoted on a right lower ball joint (went to another firestone because of a $40 deal on the same work) and then I was told my Left lower ball joint was bad and on top of that my left upper is loose. After $850 I went back and tried to get my petty $22 dollars back took 2 days and arguments to get it back didn’t need it after all I spent it was the point go to Blaine or w lake street.

Quick and friendly service. We have been going here for a while, and we trust them.

I wrote a post but I think I accidentally erased it so I’m going to write it again. I went to Firestone because I was having problems with my car, I was greeted by a manager named Joe, Joe ask me what my car was doing for me to bring it in, I explained and Joe call the tech/mechanic up to the front desk and his name is Billy, Billy took my car for a test drive, bring it back up to the front and explain to Joe What was going on with my car, Joe explain to me The problem Billy found, he explain the Problem, the price,and how long it would take to fix if I decided to get it fixed there. They offered me a courtesy car if I wanted to leave and come back later or sit in the waiting area and have hot chocolate or hot coffee and watch TV. I decided to sit and wait into my amazement the car was fixed earlier than what they said it would be, I was very happy! I think Joe the manager was very friendly and honest!I also think Billy the mechanic was very friendly and did a very good job on my car I would recommend him fix anyone’s car he’s very thorough, He knows what he’s doing with the vehicle he did a great job he did it quick and did it right, my Car drives wonderfully now! I recommend firestone To everyone, when you talk to Joe ask for Billy to fix your car, Billy is a Very nice and polite young man!

I have been bringing my Beloved (a 2001 Grand Am GT1) to the Minnetonka location for 6, 7, 8? years, at least twice a year for tire switches and oil changes. I feel they have always been up front with me and have never pressured me to have work done that wasnt necessary. Though they will make suggestions on things that could be/should be done, they have never been hyperbolic in their assessment(s); sometimes I act on their suggestions and sometimes I dont. I cant say anything about waiting, etc, as usually I just drop my Beloved off and go do other things, but generally speaking, I dont think it takes longer than necessary to have anything done with them. The staff is friendly and courteous and respectful of my thoughts regarding my vehicle.

I wouldnt do the review unless it is really bad. Brought a 2006 Chevy to their shop for engine oil. They changed the oil and did a diagnostic for $10, which is good. Then they quoted a battery replacement at $200, for which I got the job done for $100 at Sams Club. They also indicated my water tank was low in coolant and they found the water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced, and offered a timing belt replacement since we need to do the job anyway with a total quote of $750. First, I replaced my timing belt 5 years before and I drove 50 k miles on that, so there is no need to replace. Second, I asked them to fill the coolant tank and they refused because it conflicts their policy. I declined the water pump service and found out on the second day that my temp sensor hiked to the highest temp. Have to stop by a auto store and found water tank completely empty. Spent $8 to refill the tank with coolant and no new leakage was spotted since two weeks have passed, so $750 was saved. Do yourself a favor and choose a different Firestone. If they find out any issue on the vehicle, try a reliable mechanic shop.

Went in for just an oil change. Car was running fine. Within five minutes inside the shop, I was told I had a broken spark plug wire. I went into have a look. The wire was snapped off right where the plug attaches to the distributor. Wires just dont break. I cant prove it but I know one of the mechanics did the number on the plug wire. What started out as a $90.00 oil change (you cannot bring your own oil and filter) turned into $270.00 bill. $70.00 just to install four wires. It shouldve taken five minutes. The crew and management are deceitful and untrustworthy. All done with a crooked smile. Firestone should take a close look at the management of this particular shop. My reccomendation: Steer clear of this place and find a reputable auto repair shop.

Service seems very hit or miss here. Sometimes I feel like I get the white glove treatment, free taxi to work, etc, while other times I feel I’m being “up-sold” at every turn.They get an extra star for always being able to get me in when I need it.

The staff is polite, patient and will not make you feel stupid for not knowing everything there is to know about vehicle maintenance and repair. They also dont treat you like youre wasting their time. My first time there is was blown away by just how attention was given to not only the repairs themselves, but to me as they explained what was wrong and what those repairs would be.Its the first place Ive found in a while that Id actually recommend to a friend.(Edited. I accidentally rated them 4 stars, when indeed they gave 5 star service)

Several years ago I remember Joe specifically helping me with a horrible Dodge status that I owned and was always giving me issues. He helped me with knowing what times of the year to get certain services done and when to expect other repairs to be completed by before they become even worse issues. Long story short that Startus is gone and Joe at the time really helped me better understand the needs and certain services for vehicles. I stopped in at the Minnetonka location and was very happy to see Joe working as the manager again. This location will have my business as long as he is working there!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughter had her 04 Element in there 2 weeks ago and we let them repair $2000 worth of stuff for it not to fix the problem. The problem was her head gasket and the did sensors and the radiator. Will never go to them again.

Brought in an old 1994 truck for an oil change and dude working at the desk was so hell-bent in his facts that I must have a full synthetic oil change when I know damn well that my truck has always used regular oil with no problems. IT came down to either his way, or seeking another place to get an oil change. At least it was only an oil change! I cant imagine how much lower they would sink to try and scam if it was something relatively complex, or for the people who came before me and what they endured. To anyone reading this, I would think twice before bringing your vehicle here.

Id specifically like to say that Kathy and Joe, from the mtka location, have been nothing but kind, honest and have treated us so well. Took it here because its a convenient location and you can walk around the mall while waiting. It took 2 and a half hours for them to change my tires (on a week night) even with an appt. Other stores that guarantee 1 hour changes for the same price will be where I look next time.

I went here after the dealer quoted me way too much for new tires because the leak was supposedly unpatchable. Firestone patched it and provided a reasonable price. Went back several months later for another tire patch and several lightbulb replacements. They can get busy on the weekends but service is usually pretty quick.

Cheap and cheat.. make money could be their motto, especially when they see an old car. for what was a $200 park replacement, they charged me $1000 + labor saying that could be one of many problems. How can you run a auto service center when you cant determine what the problem is. another no-brand shop fixed the problem. i wish i sue these guys, but it was my foolishness to even approach FirestoneDONT go here, your pocket will be on fire

I have been here before. I have always had good experiences at this location. I was there yesterday and again great job by service techs and by management.

Ive taken my jeep to this place a few times because it is convenient. They are never very busy so getting work done quickly isnt an issue. They are skillful at ingratiating themselves to customers. They seem competent but they will try to make as much off of you as possible by finding all kinds of extras to work on. They will call and tell you about a problem but wont offer many details or offer alternatives, putting you on the spot to get an answer. I had my rear springs replaced on my Jeep and when I got it back there was a scraping noise coming from the rear. I figured they must have messed withe brake shoes or something, but when I took it in to get re-checked, they told me I had to have the differential replaced for $2000. I cant prove they damaged the car but it sure is fishy.

These folks will try to sell tires that you dont need. My wife had an admittedly nasty tire puncture and was told that the tire couldn’t be repaired, and that the tread on the other tires was such that they all needed to be replaced or it wouldn’t be safe to drive the vehicle (what?!). Coupled with the lifetime alignment service that they offered, the bill would have been in the neighborhood of $1000 dollars. Wife noped the hell out of that and had the tire repaired by a reputable shop for $21. And wouldn’t you know it, the other three tires were just fine and there was absolutely no reason to replace them.After calling them to discuss their business practices, I was informed, “Oh, that was the Ford dealership’s recommendation, not ours. We’re so glad that you went someplace else.” Yeah, sure—why wasn’t that made clear at the time? The odds of this being a misunderstanding are basically nil, and it was playing out in a completely non-transparent, shady manner that benefited Firestone while duping us out of almost a grand for three tires that were not needed (and likely would have been re-sold as used tires at an additional profit). I will never take our vehicles here again.
