Honestly wont ever return here. Went in to get my engagement ring resized September 28th, a few times in October I called and asked about it because I was told it should only take a few weeks. The last time I called she said the ring was resized and they even fixed the prongs for me and should be shipped back soon. Called them today November 2, they had my ring and never called me. When I got there he told me they didnt resize it and there was nothing they could do. The guy that helped us argued with us the entire time saying how we shouldve just bought a better ring at the right size. He was extremely rude, its a good thing I kept the recites otherwise we wouldnt have gotten a refund back.
Very friendly and courteous service. I had a watch batterybreplaced in less than 15 minutes. I also bought a beautiful ring for our anniversary, unplanned purchase, but because it was beautiful and affordable, I will now be able to see the smile on my wifes face AND THAT is priceless. I will be coming back here, I loved it. I reccomend anyone looking for a fantastic gift for a loved one to stop by here.
Terrible customer service. Would advise your KAY employees to read on the laws of age limits to wear face masks, and not argue with your customers against them!
Great service and selection! I didn’t feel pressure in anyway and was helped greatly in finding the perfect engagement ring. The service of work was extremely fast when getting the diamond set and having the ring resized.
I bought a ring from them and years later I ask to which out the diamond and she called my ring cheap, which was there ring!
They get 1 Star for being open when no where else was. I dropped my ring off and my experience wasn’t amazing. In the past six years their in personal customer service has gone down hill. I have had my ring re sized a couple times and never have had an issue when I’ve gotten it back so they get a star for that to but my experience trying to bring my ring in wasn’t very awesome, I’ll just say this, call and make sure they’re open, talk to an actual person. They don’t update they’re websites or social media pages and google isn’t updated either. So I drove many minutes to drop it off and now I drove 50 minutes got there at 6:35 when everywhere said they were open till 7 and they had the gates closed already and said they were only open till 6:30, I don’t actually believe them that’s my issue. Everywhere online said till 7. Regardless I won’t make it back there till next week and I’ll be calling ahead before I go get my ring back.
I recently went here to purchase two chains for two different pendants and to find a ring that would stack beautiful with one I already own. The manager John was helping me, and he was very friendly, accommodating and helpful during this process. I came in about 30 minutes before closing, and was worried I would feel rushed but I did not feel rushed AT ALL! Thank you for your wonderful help & I am so happy to have found what I was looking for!
John the manager is awesome! I go in there a lot to get my ring cleaned and he makes my ring look brand new every time I get it cleaned. Everyone there is friendly but John is the best! Not sure why there is so many bad reviews but I love this location. I’ve gotten two rings from Kay and a necklace and they are still in great condition.

Went in to look at wedding bands and to get our fingers sized. We were very pressured to buy a ring and then pressured to sign up for their credit card. Ended up leaving without our fingers sized. Customer service was the worst I have ever experienced.
Had an amazing experience tonight on a service that could be considered simple. I wanted to get my rings cleaned. First, we had stopped at Helzburgs and I think the lady just blew on them! It wasnt even a few minutes. We walked out soo frustrated with dirty rings so I told my husband lets try Kays. Vicky was wonderful. And John went above and beyond!! He even buffed them!! They examined the rings and complimented the quality even though they knew we didnt purchase them there. John took quite a bit of time with us showing us some other bands we liked but he could of hurried off to help other customers but gave us his time and attention. Definitely great customer service!!
John and Colin helped me with a few important transactions. Im grateful for their knowledge and professional assistance. Ill be doing all my jewelry purchases with Kay at Ridgedale because of their hard work and dedication to my needs.
I came in looking for a wedding band. The sales woman grabbed my engagement ring and tried to tell me it wasn’t a real diamond. She followed up with trying to get me to sign up for a Kay credit card.
I have been going here for years. Every experience I have had there they have gone above and beyond! Such great service... they truly put the customer first!
Went there with some pictures off their website of rings we where intrested in. The lady said they didnt have any of them. She started showing me rings that I was not even interested in. Plus higher then the price range I gave her. Then I asked again if there was any rings in my price range she still continued to show me hire priced ones. I found one my self. Ring was not ready by the pick up date. Didnt care for the lady
I wore a necklace 3 times that my husband bought me, after wearing twice the chain broke. After getting chain fixed the setting my opal was in broke resulting in my opal falling out. When I went in they offered absolutely no help. Very disappointed.
Horrible customer service. Got my ring 3 years ago at the albertville mall location. Got it serviced there until.they went out of business. I recently lost a diamond in the setting and the lady at ridgedale location says they have no record of me going to albertville there for my ring is not covered. Now Im stuck with a wedding ring with a missing diamond. Nice!
Brit and Colin were extremely helpful and kind during a lengthy exchange process. They made me feel important, and Im eager to return for my next purchase.
I have now been sitting in the store for 20 minutes even just waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. Not a single, hello well be right with you. Im pretty sure its company policy to at least acknowledge your customers even if its busy. There are two associates and both are busy with customers but I havent even gotten eye contact with either associate. I have had nothing but problems with Kay lately and the decline in customer service is convincing me to take my business elsewhere. I am so disappointed that I am stuck with this company for the lifetime of my ring or until I can possibly get a different ring. At least from now on I know not to come to this location in particular.
I would highly recommend going to the Eagan location (and working with Judith) John the manager is absolutely unbearable. Ive never met such a nasty person in my life. Kay jewelers sold me a piece of junk. After the 6th time of bringing it in I asked what they can do. He said maybe you should have got a better ring. Now please, tell me, HOW DO I KNOW WHAT A BETTER RING IS!? I paid over $2,000 for this ring and its a piece of junk. We asked to speak to his boss and he looked at us and said I am the boss. Your not getting your way, now you can either buy a new ring or leave my store. He was so beyond disrespectful. I will never EVER reccomend someone to go to that store. He does not belong in customer service. There is only 2 ladies that have been helpful in that store but John has really put a sour taste in my mouth. I wont give any of my money to that store until he is gone. I am not helping that rude boy pay his bills. GO TO EAGAN!
Was just at the Ridgedale location and left pretty disgusted. This was the third time in less than 6 months that Ive had to bring my necklace in for repair. The service manager had several excuses for why it is breaking but was unwilling to replace it - he insists on forcing me to send it off for repair again. It is incredibly inconvenient to have to drive back and forth to the mall and have to leave it with them for close to a month before I have to go back and pick it up, only for it to break again. We wont be purchasing anything from Kays anymore. Their stuff is junk.
Highly annoyed with your staff. I came in Sunday January 13th. I asked the lady to check my ring and clean it. She happily obliged. Afterwards she asked me when the ring was bought and I told her I didnt know because I got it as a gift. She checked the system under the name it was bought and told me it didnt need to be checked again until June. A week later, January 20th, I noticed one of my diamonds is missing. Curious why she didnt notice this when she checked my ring? Quite frustrating that this couldve been avoided had she knew how to look at my ring properly.
They were really helpful when I came into get help with broken chain for my necklace today! Great customer service!
I have been to this location a few times and every time I go there The customer service is horrible! The manager John is bad!! The first time it happened I thought well everybody has a bad day and this must of just been one of his. I have visited this location a few times now and today was the last straw! He is very condescending and has a bad attitude. There is one reason and only one that will make me go back I am stuck with a wedding ring from them that I have to have inspected once every 6 months. I could go into detail on my experiences with Kay but I would be sitting here typing all day.
Manager John is a terrible manager. Bought a ring that kept breaking after a day or two. Blamed my girlfriend for how she wears it and was incredibly rude to me. Said he ordered a new ring after the third time it was broke and that it would be in in 10 days. 3 weeks later I called to check on the status of the ring and he never ordered it. Do NOT go to this store especially this location.

My girlfriend wanted this one particular watch. So I went to lay in northtown wish is closer to my home. I was ignored and when someone finally came to help me. The clerk smelled like liquor and treated me like I couldnt afford to shop there.. so I left and went to Rosedale. Clerk was super helpful. He offered for me to apply for the Jay credit card just so the watch would be at discounted price... great shopping experienceRidgedale not rosedale John Rhode... great customer service
My fiancée bought my engagement ring from Kay Jewelers online last spring, 2016. I had been looking for a wedding band to go with it and happened to go into a different jewelry store where she cleaned it and checked the setting. She told me I had a missing diamond and two loose stones. So, we took it to Kay, at Ridgedale, where they said theyd need to send it in for repairs. They did honor the diamond guarantee and this would be done at no additional cost to us. I was told it would take about a month. When that month was up we heard from them letting us know that the ring wasnt fixable and would need to be replaced with a brand new ring. So, more waiting time as well. Lets talk about this, my fiancee was sold a ring that was in such bad shape that it couldnt even be repaired??!! So, finally heard that the replacement had arrived at the store but would now need to be sent in to be sized. So, 6+ weeks after bringing it in, I finally was able to get my ring back. It looked great and we were very pleased, especially with the service from Danny at the Ridgedale location. He appraised a different ring of mine and I ended up trading it in for a wedding band from them as well. That was yesterday, 4/11/17. This morning, less than 24 hours after picking up my ring, a diamond fell out of part of the setting! Somehow my coworker was able to find it so I do still have the diamond. However, what the heck??? A brand new replacement ring... lost a diamond within 24 hours of picking it up?I dont have a problem with the store itself. We enjoy working with Danny and hes been very helpful. However, Kay Jewelers in general, their quality control and the products they sell are extremely questionable in my opinion.This story is to be continued. I will be calling the store when they open today to see what they can do for me now. My wedding is less than 6 weeks away. Im afraid its a just a poorly designed setting and they sold him the first ring originally knowing that. The one we started with couldnt even be repaired!!! Lets see what theyll do to accommodate me and my fiancée... and in time for me to have a ring for my wedding day. Im even more nervous especially since I ALSO bought a wedding band from them.
