Shopping at The General Store is always a fun experience. There is so much to see with such variety, it is perfect entertainment for one who loves to browse. Today I tried lunch at from their Cafe to go. It was good, but not amazing. I had the chicken caesar wrap with chicken wild rice soup and chips. It was ok, but the wrap was lacking that true caesar flavor, it seemed bland to me. I appreciated that they wrapped the pickle so my wrap did not get soggy. The soup was also good, more flavorful than the wrap but I have had better chicken wild rice soups. All that said, I am not discouraged, and I will certainly try another lunch at the Cafe.

I adore this store. They’re always really welcoming and kind whenever I visit. I love the café. The scones are amazing and the popovers are the best. I enjoy the whole vibe of the store. It’s one of my favorite places in Minnesota.

This place is way too small for how packed they are. And a lot of the workers are rude. They don’t offer help, they don’t even acknowledge you half the time, its like they can’t get you out of the door fast enough. And that’s probably because it’s so crowded. I probably will never be back.

I love this store. They have such a fun variety of things from home decor, holiday decor, kitchen gadgets, clothes, toys, gifts and local goodies! Great for gifts!!

Really poor covid protocols in place. Crowded, narrow aisles. Crowded, long lines. This is a cute place but with current covid numbers, this is a hotspot for germs.

Great place to find a unique gift.
