I feel so lucky to have this place in our area. Such a great variety of Asian products that you can’t find anywhere else around here. Also the drunken noodles are incredible is you are wanting a cooked meal.

Best market in town. If you need it they usually have it or will get it for you. I have been coming here for over a year.

Hard to understand as the owners speak Vietnamese. English is very broken. Nice people though.

Extremely filthy store. & while you are trying to look around the owner follows you around making you feel like a criminal. The food looks extremely old and most of the frozen food is freezer burnt. I do not recommend this store. Go to Saigon Market in South Bend.

There seems to be a lot of reviews here (mostly from non-Chinese) who are understandingly frustrated and rate the store super low due to difficulty in communicating and/or not being able to get help. I can sympathize with this as Im not Chinese, and also cannot communicate with the owners. However, like most Asian grocery stores that are run by older Asian folks who speak limited English, youre going to run into this issue quite often. They often dont mean any ill intentions, just not be able to speak/communicate very well.My advice is if you need something, pull up a picture of the product, or if you know what its called (for example, Chinese black vinegar), I usually type it in Google and pull up an example of similar products to show them.I have visited this store many many times for 3 years now and my experience has always been pleasant, despite not being able to communicate with them. They have pretty good selection of products, and if Im not mistaken, the only place in town that sells luosifen (Chinese snail noodles). Prices are mostly similar with other stores, though occasionally, they can vary based on the types or origins of products. I found that for South East Asian products (like vietnamese, Thailand, the Phillipines, etc.), youll get more variety and may *sometimes* get better price on certain products at Saigon market downtown south bend. For Chinese-related items, this store will have better selection. They dont carry too many Japanese or Korean products, so if youre craving for Korean BBQ or some Japanese specialty treats, you might wanna visit the oriental market on grape road.Overall, with some good preparation and expectation, youll find it a very good store!

I came into the store and was wondering around browsing the shelves for almost 15 minutes and no one so much has looked at me, let alone spoke to me. when I went to check out the woman started speaking very rapidly at me in heavily accented English and when I was trying to figure out what she was telling me so angrily she walked away from the register. She went into the back room and started doing a few things looking at me occasionally and then studiously ignoring me. After a couple minutes of standing there with cash in my hand I simply put it back in my wallet and left. I will never return and I cannot recommend to anybody to go here.

Small mom and pop shop. Little bit of everything. Not the most worldly person so I am a fish out of water in places like this. Hence the 3 stars usually I love mom and pop shops because they are friendly and inviting. Maybe I expect too much. If you get the craving for Korean Bbq sauce on a Sunday like me this place will do.

My sister and i stopped by because we were interested in what was there, we walked in, looked around for a little bit and decided we didn’t want anything so we left. as we were getting in the car the woman who i believe owns the place followed us outside and watched us get in our car and just stared at us. after a little bit she walked back inside and started looking over the wall watching us through the window until we left.

They have a variety of items that I loved specifically enoki mushrooms. I will be going back. However you must spend at least $10 to use a credit card which is not a problem with the variety of items that they have available.

Its a small store, focused on Asian groceries, of course. The only challenge was it was difficult to communicate to the store owner, what I was looking for because I didnt speak the same language. It turns out that I found the exact product I was looking for, at Whole Foods. I shouldve gone there first. But the Asian market did have Bitter Melon, which is very difficult to find. That find, made it worth going to.

The website said the store closed at 8:30. I showed up at 7:50. The “Open” sign and lights were on. I try to get into the store but was met by a small, angry-looking woman. She rudely shooed me away without saying a word or explaining anything. She then proceeded to turn the “Open” sign off in front of me and locked the door.

I asked the older male(assuming the owner)if he worked there. He said no, pointed at the door, and returned to his seat in the back. Other than that its pretty cool though 👎.

This is the worst experience that I have ever had in my entire 40 years of living! I walked into the store at around 8:10 pm today. There was a male sales clerk watching television toward the rear of the store. He doesnt acknowledge me even though you could visibly see I had no idea where my product was. I asked him where the Matcha tea was and he pointed in some direction. There were tea containers written in Japanese and Chinese. I return and explain to him the product that I am seeking. He pulls an item off the shelf and returns to his seat. I keep searching the products feeling the textures through the bag to no avail. He then had the audacity to walk over to me and say, Its 8:30. Time for you to go. I was taken aback at how unhelpful and rude that he was! I said, I will never return. I will not give you my business. He said, 8:30 while shuffling me to the door! I ended up finding the product at Whole Foods and Teavana.
