Very fun and welcoming location. My manager from work introduced me to this place and I gotta say Im very happy the way it is being run. Even got to run a few commander matches with him and friends!

Very amazing spot for nerds alike. Welcoming staff, and you can hop on the tables they have a play some yugioh or any tcg you want with others. Personally I go to buy Pokémon and so far got these just for 100-150 bucks spent

Magic & Monsters is a great place. My son and I go there often to buy and sell. They have a great selection of cards and boxes to choose from. The guys are knowledgeable, professional, and have always made us feel welcomed. Jay is exceptionally helpful and goes out of his way to make us feel like we are VIP.

Cool place, big open play area. I play Magic, but they have pretty much everything, even Digimon at fair prices. Would definitely recommend.

The most organized card shop Ive been to! Came here looking to complete a Pokemon set and they were able to find them quickly. Also charged market price. Staff was all friendly and offered to help.

Great TCG arena. I walked in the store and there were Pokemon, Digmon, and Magic players all hanging around and having fun.

Stopped by for a quick visit to check out the latest on Magic the Gathering. I used to play a bunch 10 years ago. The shop was stocked full of Magic cards that include a large span from new to old. The staff, Bryan, was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very helpful.There is even a friendly community of helpful players there

Did not like this place at all. Found what I was told was a rare card during a move and brought it to the store to ask for some advice. First thing the vendor does is indicate that he thinks the card has been altered with and then proceeds to bend the card and was about to open up the middle of the card before I stopped him. Terrible experience, vendor manhandled the card and I walked away feeling incredibly disrespected. Vendor also told me that the card which a first edition was worth MUCH less than the website they were referencing. They clearly did not reference 1st edition and were looking at other language versions of the card to indicate the value of the card.

Cool Store!!! We (my husband and I) came in to get Pokemon cards for our 9yr old niece and they were super helpful. The store wasnt crowded at all but they had a small group of teenagers playing magic the gathering and some board game at the tables. It seems like a fun place to play some tcg!! Will be back for more Pokemon cards foresure!!!

Pros and consPros: lots of good bulk cards, card accessories at good prices, and good prices on products.Cons: poor customer service, had to ask 5 times to get something, they take forever to acknowledge their customers unless your a regular, small supply on Pokemon and yugioh products, and one of them is really rude. He rushes you so he can get back to playing games on his phone.Overall, if youre just planning on getting bulk cards and accessories then its worth the trip but expect a wait to check out.

Great location. Spacious facility, especially when coming from LA. The booster box I purchased was low comparing to other places Ive been. They also have tournaments with a lot of participants. The service was great too.Unfortunately, I had to give Magic and Monsters a three because of their unsafe choices in regards to the pandemic. There was a magic tournament going on where players are gathered closely together and their opponents faces are just one foot from each other. Half of them were wearing masks and the other half were not, management included. I understand people have strong, differing opinions about it, but for me and anyone else who believes in the seriousness of the virus and has a family member with an underlying medical condition, I would be careful.

I could not speak more highly of this small business! This shop has the most knowledgeable and friendly staff of any Card Shop I’ve been to. I am greeted with a welcoming every time I walk in door. The play space is always comfortable. I go whenever I need a new card for EDH or help coming up with a deck idea. This is the number one Card shop to buy sealed products at I am telling you! Can not believe my luck on the new collector boxes I have bought here, so many great pulls!

Good variety, fair prices for the current situation the industry is in.Asked worker which booster box he recommend Then he suggested the most expensive one, after going to the register I asked if he played the game or collected it and he said no never collected or played .I didn’t know how to feel after that 😂😂😅Did I just get hustled or?Besides that, still a great store!

The staff dont take you seriously if you dont fit the NERD stereotype. I walked in there dressed how I normally look, like a tourist, and I was ignored. They dont take women seriously either.

Magic and Monsters provides a friendly atmosphere for both veterans and newcomers to any TCG. The primary focus is on Magic, but there’s a strong community for Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon here. I myself have learned how to play both Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic at this shop, and some here have become my closests friends. Might make this review a little bias. That being said, give this place a shot if you’re in need for some friendly local card game action! If I had one critique, it would be how overly competitive some players can be. This might be a pro for some and a con for others. But rest assured that the community here welcomes all, regardless of skill level, and wants to share their passion with others!

Really chill and friendly atmosphere, staff is super helpful even when it was super busy they made sure to ask what I wanted so they could look for it on the side while also helping other customers ahead of me. Would recommend to anyone looking to buy, sell, or play MTG, Yugioh, or Pokémon!

Great place for all the latest and best Pokemon cards

Took a week to refund money on an order they didnt want to ship out as the price was apparently too reasonable. Fully deleted the order from my account on the site so there is no history and didnt bother sending an email to claim the item was out of stock. Order also showed as shipped prior to deletion with no tracking number provided. Typical arrogant game store owner behavior and $5+ shipping on every order. Terrible store. Stay away.

Always been a wonder place to get those hard to find cards. Know almost all the staff on a first name basis, great bunch. They also have a great tournament schedule that’s always having enough ppl to pop-off so that’s something to look forward to every week. Even have a Smash Bros. Set-Up in the back so they can get down on that action too.

Been going here on-and-off since 2015, and its a real treat.The community in this store (yes, there IS a community) is friendly and welcoming to new faces, and respectful to old ones as well.The store is stocked with multiple games to choose from (I personally am of the MTG persuasion) and games are held routinely throughout the week!Store staff is knowledgeable and lax, and prices are fair.Stock can be low at times of high demand, but all in all you can find what you need.If youre looking for the next adventure, battle, or hangout, M&Ms got you covered!

They taught me how to play Magic. They took me under their wings and gave me something to treasure. A love for card games. It seems a bit nerdy but its super fun and cool. They also buy your old cards some of those things are worth a small fortune now!

This is a great store if your kids are anything like mine and cant get enough of Pokemon. Theyve got tons of different packs for sale, but they also have singular, harder to find (or as my son calls them ultra rare) cards to peruse.

Called a few days ago and asked if they buy old cards. They said yes they will buy my old cards as long as they are mint or near mint condition. Had even gone in with my friend before and he only deals with one guy and I see why now. The Asian guy I dealt with barely even looked at what I brought in and I even heard him say to another worker Im not going to help this guy, I just want to go home. He flipped through my binder so fast that there was no way in hell that he could see what I brought in. I did the research on my cards so I know I did not bring in bad cards and they told me they would buy them any way. All he said was no. No offers no looking up no recommendations just I want to go home. I do not recommend this place or if you do go in do not deal with anyone who is Asian. They are super rude. All I wanted was 10minutes of their time. That is asking to much. Wont be coming here again that is for sure.

Live in Los Angeles, but drive all the way out here because the staff is nice and the store has a lot of neat stuff.

Showed up at 12 today and the store was closed. Waited for 30 minutes and no one came to open the location. Came back at 415 to pick up some commons and uncommons. The store has very little in stock, and the employees do not seem interested in helping a customer out.

Cannot say enough good things about the store and staff! Very accommodating. Fixed an issue and went above and beyond!

I went a few times for Yugioh cards and everyone was very kind and I didnt have any problems getting the cards I wanted. They knew what they were doing and were clearly experts.

Good store, good service. Only went here for a Magic: The Gathering prerelease (Eldritch Moon), but when I called the people at the store were helpful. Same thing when I went in-person - very helpful staff. One quick note: They didnt have a sign up when I went. It should be on the corner super close to the Hangar 18.

Best place around to sell your old Pokemon cards.

Stopped by today to sell some cards which I researched the value of based on the advice of an employee on the phone. Came in and was barely given the time of day, and then told the value of what I brought isnt anywhere near what I saw on the website they recommended and was told to basically throw them all in the trash. Highly disappointed

I walked into Magic and Monsters a few weeks ago and had the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had at a hobby/game shop. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by...no one. No one greeted me or offered any type of assistance. Instead I was stared down by a bunch of people playing Magic the Gathering in the back of the shop. I have nothing against people who play MtG but I do have something against people who look at me as though I am doing something wrong for simply walking into a store. Honestly, their stares made me feel guilty because I felt I was intruding on them. No store should feel that unwelcoming. After getting over that I decided to look around. After about 2 minutes of looking at their board game collection (which is sorely lacking) still no one had bothered to say hello, greet me, or offer any assistance. I got fed up and simply left. I dont know if the owner/employee was in the back of the store or was one of the players playing MtG who just stared at me but it doesnt matter. Whoever was working their at the time should have been out there to greet a potential customer. Furthermore, they should create a welcoming environment that doesnt make people feel guilty about entering their store. Im not going to be going back to that store and I recommend you dont bother. Go to Comic Quest instead.P.S. Their website is not that great either.

Wonderful selection of trading cards and collectables, but the helpful staff are why I keep coming back for Friday Night Magic and drafts.
