Employees at game shops rarely impress me anymore. One thing that makes Play N Trade stand above other game shops is the employees. I stopped in today and was blown away by the customer service and knowledge of Hannah. She deserves recognition because she truly goes above and beyond. I have also been impressed in the past by the guy with the colored hair (Shane?). I recently heard that Play N Trade will be working with Limited Run Games and thats a huge deal to me. I would rate this store 6 stars if I could.

They do a good job getting you what you need. Better than GameStop by far. Disk cleaning and resurfacing work excellently same with their battery changing for Pokémon games. 10/10

This place has tons of retro systems and peripherals, even some in boxes. The prices were good, nothing was really overpriced. The counter clerk, David, really knew his stuff. Definitely a great place to go for a large selection and friendly staff who know their games. I recommend a stop in, if youre into games.

Great store very nostalgic and also has new games. The membership is worth it. Im definitely coming back to buy more next paycheck. The staff are very kind, informative, and helpful. They also will put your name on a waiting list for anything you are looking for and will call when they get it and hold it for you if you want. Cant wait to come back.

Best gaming shop to buy sell or trade

Great selection of new and retro games, systems and accessories. If they dont have the retro game you want they can put you on a waiting list and call you promptly when it arrives. A service that is very much appreciated. Prices on retro games are pretty much the same as online +/- a couple dollars but they test and resurface old discs for you at purchase. Some accessories Ive purchased were even cheaper than online prices. Highly recommend this store.

The place is like a video game museum, so many cool retro games and consoles from my childhood (as well as all the new release games/consoles). Incredibly nice people work there and the owner is just as welcoming as the staff. I enjoy just stopping by every now and then just to see the stuff they have there (as well as buy/trade a few things while I’m there). Very fair prices on everything.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place has some shady business practices. I will elaborate.Selling to them is near impossible, or theyre just really biased. Not to mention, that the staff are unreasonable and that the staff will think that they happen know better than you do. Unless you happen to be a loyal customer, chances are that they may not always have a bedside manner. Or there might be miscommunication on their part. Not uncommon sure, but its still a bit difficult when trying to get a second opinion.Recently, I tried selling them a bunch of consoles to them. I had about six spare consoles. Out of the six that I brought up, they were willing to only buy two of them. Which happened to be a PS2 and a 60GB fat PS3. And the fat PS3 isnt exactly easy to find these days as they appear to be uncommon now. The other four consoles that I would have brought in were an original Xbox, two elite Xbox 360s, and a slim PS3. They completely disregarded the slim PS3, but that was just part of the problem. They simply told me they would not accept original Xbox systems and all Xbox 360 models. As for their reasoning, they simply stated, These arent in demand and it would be harder to resell them and the value just isnt worth it tous. So basically, you cannot sell Microsoft systems to them for the most part. Probably including the Xbox One, as well. As for the demand part, there are tons of people collecting for the original Xbox. If you look on game collecting communities, you will see people are still buying games for the system and more uncommon limited edition variants of the system. So I never believed that part, either. Second of all, they basically told me to do my business elsewhere by referring me to other buying apps. That isnt necessarily a good thing for a store that wants to be taking in stock. So basically, theyre a video game store that is biased and wont buy Microsoft systems. Thats my verdict there.I do recall when I sold a PS2 to them back in 2018. It was a well working system but they wouldnt buy it only because one of the doors to the memory card slots was missing. Which never affected the system at all. I get that it may not look as presentable, but if you were to put a memory card in the slot, you wouldnt notice a difference! Again, theyre really picky.Their prices are insane. I mean, $25 for a Greatest Hits copy of Dark Cloud for the PS2? Not to mention that the case was faded and the fact the game itself is worth a bit over $10. But still, a GREATEST HITS copy. Let that sink in. And they had the nerve to charge $50 for its sequel, which is worth half of that. So, yeah. Totally insane to say the least.Bottom line, doing business with these people is just completely meaningless. I wouldnt waste my time with them any further. The way they run a business is just demoralizing. You cant let biased opinions get in the way of your business. Especially when your so called observations are completely false! Not sure if this review is going to stop people from shopping here, but still. Just do your business elsewhere and dont give Play n Trade a second thought.

Wonderful place with helpful, friendly staff and a varied selection of games at fair prices! The place was professional and made sure that their used games were in good conditions and answered any questions we had nicely and clearly (as stupid as they were, thank you Steve!) Highly recommend it :)

This shop is well organized, clean, and had a great variety of games over many platforms. I met the owner Sean who was welcoming, polite and knowledgeable. I hope to go back soon to pick up a CIB Smash Melee. For now I settled for Mario versus Donkey Kong game only.

This place is great, they have pretty much anything you’re looking for. Whether it’s something for the cube or something for your new system they more than likely have it. I can’t say enough about the staff they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have two special needs teenagers and every time I bring them to play n trade I can see that the staff shifts into even more helpful mode. Keep up the good work.

Overall this place has great game values from any other game store Ive come across, but there customer service is poor. When calling the store, instead of answer a couple of quick questions, they tell you they are either too busy or even ignore the call and place you on hold for long periods of time. I love treading through memory lane with this store and even being able to even get a few parts of systems that even Gamestop cannot offer, but if you are not even physically there they sometimes will not help you.

Basically a mini version of Gamestop. Had some cool retro gaming systems+ old games. Pricing wise is pretty much the same as any other retailer, but there are some items thats like cheaper than most retailers. They also had a selection of DVDs, and markdowns video games.

This place has cheaper membership, than Gamestop. They have a lot more video games from retro to the latest consoles. The prices are alright however, the man Steve was so sincere and knowledgeable. Ask for Steve. This is a place to go, if you dont want to shop online. They have a policy, if you give cash they wont charge tax.

Very nice video game store that sells retro, but also new video games, consoles, controller, and pretty much anything you need to be a gamer. Prices might be a little high for some people, but thats what Black Friday is for. Is your video game console broken or damaged? Play N Trade will buy it, or even fix it for you. They also sell other things, such as phones, iPods, and TV streaming boxes. Word to the wise, however. If youre looking to buy an old console or game, or even ANYTHING old at all, just try looking for garage sales or thrift shops, which just might have that old N64 or Genesis youve been looking for. Then buy it for $10. OKAY, MAYBE THAT MIGHT NOT HAPPEN, but its always worth a shot. After all, who wants to spend over $100 for a N64, just to play the games? Get a pc with an emulator for crying out loud

The owner told me he could fix my ps4 port and told he I would have it back in 1 week. They made me pay up front before he did anything on it and It took him almost 1 month to finish my ps4 and at the end he didn’t even fix it and he also wouldn’t give me my money back!!! I tried talking to him up front but every time I would call him to and ask when time he was going to be in store I would show up and he would be gone!! Never shopping at the place ever again!!

I would highly recommend the Marguerite/LaPaz Play n Trade to anyone looking for a great gaming store. The inventory of both new and used games, consoles, accessories, dvds etc is massive. Steve is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Nice place, prices seem inline with most other places but they have older systems and games if you want to go back as far as Nintendo DS and original Xbox. I appreciate the fact the titles are well organized and the store is well kept, bravo to the staff.

We took our Xbox 360 in to be fixed and unfortunately they were unable to fix it so they just replaced it. They have tons of games, even really old ones and great prices.
