My daughter and son-in-law bought a used truck from Open Source after an extensive search for a vehicle. The Open Source salesmen were great, friendly and not pushy. They had a good selection and prices and were open about any defects in the trucks ( cracked tail light in one). We got financing from the bank but Open Source also had financing options and did not penalize us for using the bank . Another auto dealer would have charged $800 if not financed through them. I would gladly go back to Auto Source for another vehicle.

I asked to have something special done for the vehicle I was researching and he arranged to have it done by a local expert putting my mind at ease. Unfortunately someone else was able to buy the Truck I was looking at, before I could get it done. One has to say thank you to the owner Kurt, who I was unable to meet in person, for bringing Chris into the Mission KS area. They have a great selection of Trucks in Mission. Some for any budget, even mine.

Be careful to verify information, called into dealership salesman said great car, sent me pictures and a video (low quality) of the car as requested. Drove 1.25 hours to test drive, started car and immediately problem with engine was apparent (shaking, white smoke out of exhaust, shuddering). Salesman acknowledged probable blown motor when I stated it had a ring out or something similar, he did not seem surprised. Did not purchase.Update: Received a phone call from the owner concerned about the review. I explained the situation in detail, he apologized and to paraphrase stated that he expects better and typically does better with his customers and discloses all issues to prospective buyers. My experience may have been a fluke, but I have no way of knowing. I appreciate the owners call and concern.I have updated the review above to reflect more information after some confusion with the owner.

Although in the end I decided to purchase a vehicle from a dealership other than OpenSource Autos, Tricia(at the Lee’s Summit location) was unbelievably helpful!She went far above and beyond good customer support. She answered all of my questions and helped me through my purchase even though she received nothing but this review as payment.I would highly recommend seeking her out if you are looking for a knowledgeable and helpful sales lady. When I purchase a vehicle in the future, I will definitely contact her. If OpenSource Autos’ purchasing process is at all similar to the quality of Tricia’s customer support, I would highly recommend them as well.

I did a test drive there never bought the car. It had alignment issues and they did not seem to care. They would allow mechanics to come look or I could have took it to a shop. I never felt pressure to buy, a positive for me.

Overall a positive experience. Chris and Kurt were very prompt with responding to emails, texts, and calls. I sent my first message Thursday morning, and by Thursday evening we had negotiated on price and financing was secured. The only complaint (and reason for 4 stars) was that the car had not been thoroughly cleaned on the inside. There was a lot of gunk in the cup holders, door pockets, seatbelt buckles etc. In the end, I got a great car at a fantastic price, which was the ultimate goal. I am a happy customer.

The vehicle had 110990 miles and the price was $6922. It has been the best experience. The personnel go above & beyond in attentiveness and just about everything.

They have something for everyone. They go a long way to make sure your happy and its done right the first time around. They dont forget about you or your request of what you where looking for even if it takes time to get The One you where looking for, they let you know. They mostly only deal with trucks so you dont have to jump around and trip on a tiny car. They know how to work fairly and with a customers price point. I am not sure what to think, I am trying really hard to not think they sold me a car that had serious issues, we told them the importance of buying a new car and that 2 days later my wife and I were going to be, driving, to Colorado, and the heat didnt work, they didnt fix it even though they said they would and then while we were here, something with the tires broke and was banging and clunking when on less than perfect roads..now we have to drive all the way back with it like that and as you may know, there is nothing between here and there.I am going to call Chris and talk to him about this, and I hope they have the integrity to do what is right and fix this, because, why would I have bought the car knowing that this could happen. Another review to come later. but as of right now, I am not happy and would not recommend them.

BUYER BEWARE: We bought a truck from this dealer May 2018 & were under the impression we had a warranty as it was listed in our paperwork.*Only 6 months after having the truck the rear end went out. We contacted the warranty company only to find out we did not have a warranty even though we had paid for one — Upon contacting the dealership he made a deal with a local mechanic to put a USED rear end in the truck so that the warranty could be issued.*The fuel pump caught on fire in February costing $740 out of pocket.*Now here we are barely 11 months from the date the purchase & the transmission is out— the warranty company is only willing to pay for a used transmission from the junkyard & that is going to cost $840This has been a horrible experience- we will be contacting BBB & Fox4 Problem Solvers.Do not buy the a vehicle or warranty from this dealer.

Great place and people. Walked in and asked about a vehicle and Chris literally threw me the keys. Let me know if you have any questions he says. Not once did I feel pressured. They actually listened to everything I said. Even entertained my kids while I was test driving with my wife. Financing me was easy but Kurt went above and beyond to find me a lower rate. How low?, you ask. Try 13.9 to 3%. Thats over 10%. I sat in his office with him and heard every phone call. Watched every number that he plugged into the system to try to get me within my budget. And he was successful. Ultimately, we did not come to an agreement on some cosmetic issues and I did not purchase the vehicle. Nothing that was the owners or sales persons fault. This should speak on its own if a review is left for this dealership and a vehicle was not even purchased. Ill look to them first whenever my family needs a car.Kurt, you should go into real estate! Youll make a killing with that kind of customer service.

I have been looking for a used pick up and was struggling to find something in my price range. I went to OpenSource Autos and Chris listened carefully to what I wanted and made a suggestion that has been better than I hoped. There was no pressure to buy and my understanding is that the sales people are not on commission. I was cautious about going to a smaller dealer, but this experience has changed my mind.

Didnt follow through on any of their promises. Lied about being a 1-Owner car. I had to run my own Carfax report to see what really happened. Cost us $120 in a tow bill on the way home from the dealership. Had to pay another $130 to have a key fob programmed that they assured us was fixed (and wasnt). They promised to send a check to compensate for the out of pocket expenses with the title. It wasnt in there. They said they mailed it separately.... that never arrived either.

Representative was late for appointment. Numerous children running around the lot, interrupting customer interactions. The SUV I looked at had multiple issues, isuues that they wanted to have me correct on my own after purchase. When rep finally returned, after 40 minutes, he was condescending. They are at least good at one thing: stereotypical sleezy used car sales.

Bought a Lexus GX470 and couldnt be happier. Nice people. The price was very fair. Worked with our shipper to get it delivered.

After test driving the GL450 there were a few items I talked to Chris about getting corrected and both him & Kurt (the owner) gladly worked together to get them completed. I am now a proud owner of a Mercedes Benz GL450 and this have been the best car buying experience Ive ever had! As a single woman, i was skeptical heading into the car buying process. But now Im very pleased to say that i had nothing but a positive experience with these guys. They had no problem with me taking the car for an offsite independent inspection. They also took care of some follow up repair on a previously installed part. Chris was responsive to every question i had and Kurt backed him up on everything i needed. Also, after much online research, i felt the pricing was very fair. I can honestly recommend them!

Came to look at a vehicle. It says open from 10am to 6pm. Its 11:46am and no one here. Very unprofessional. I spoke to Trish she was very apologetic and understood the unprofessionalism so she asked if she could bring the car to me so that I can check it out and test drive. I agreed and thought it was a nice gesture and opensource might be redeeming themselves until Kurt called. Kurt explained how his business had been left unattended. Between sick kids, family in the hospital and 2nd jobs the dealership was left with no one to run it. He wanted to know what he could do to help. I told him about my meeting with Trish and at this point there was nothing he can do. At this point he changed his tone of voice and told me that if I didnt take off my review that she wouldnt bring me the car. That Trish works for him and she wouldnt take me the car. I told him that I didnt lie in my review. He argued over me yelled for me not to write another review and hung up. So RUDE. All he cared about was his review he didnt once stop to think about my 40 min that I wasted outside his business waiting for someone to show up.My intention was to rewrite my review after I test drove the vehicle at my meeting with trish. But Kurt was desperate and preffered to push a potential costumer away than to get a bad review.There are hundreds of dealers out there, I will take my business somewhere else where I will be treated with respect and so should u. Opensource Autos customer service is Trash!
