I enjoyed the hospitality from, Strive and the crew. The store was huge and packed with just about anything I was looking for and the deals were fantastic! Im going to be a regular customer.

My partner loves comics and found this store amazing and nostalgic. Its a big store with a lot of gems. My partner is working on some rare Spiderman series, I think, and he found some of those here. The staff is super nice, too.

This place was great and the owner was very nice and knowledgeable. Hes great with kids too which is a big plus in my book! We will be back next time were in town.

What a great shop! It looks a bit small, but they definitely have plenty of comics to look through. New, old, rare, and cheap! The man we talked to (who I believe to be a manager and/or part owner) was extremely personable and kind. He made my fiancé and I feel welcome. And my fiancé found some comics hes been looking around for for months! We dont live in Mobile, but if we did, we would definitely be coming back.

This is a must-stop place if im passing through and the new location is super convenient. Just a couple of blocks off of the interstate. Lots of great new and older comics as well as graded comics. If youre looking for a key-issue or your grail, chances are you can find it here.

Very hostile environment. Got scolded for reading a comic book (very carefully, might I add), because that’s what you do at comic book stores. Was told to take every comic to the front, so they could open them. I’ve never heard of any comic book store doing this, and it would have been fine if they had a sign posted anywhere, instead of being called out like that. While also making statements like “I don’t go into your house and start touching your stuff”, which was a awful comparison, since it’s a store. Also saying “well people have tore up $300 comic books”, which sounds like a exaggeration, as you should keep high value comics behind the counter. Putting those statement aside, I didn’t care for the selection or set up in the store.

Always a delight to go to Port City! The owner is super friendly, funny, informative and helpful. Great books to choose from and always a blast to go there. I’ve seen a couple books overpriced in my opinion but the positives outweigh that one negative hugely. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The owner/manager and his employees alike are welcoming, appreciative, and genuinely friendly to customers of all ilk... regardless if the customer is fanatically dedicated or, to the contrary, casually perusing at infrequent times. The Port City Comics staff are NOT pretentious or patronizing towards anyone, and, in all honesty, this is profoundly important to me personally since I have found that there have been niche retail stores in the past (not exclusively centered around comic books and not exclusively in the Mobile area) that has talked down to or utterly ignored myself and others who take a more casual approach to shopping.(Hows that for a run-on sentence...)Port City Comics is doing it right, to say the least... Really nice looking place with a huge variety of comics!! They support local artist and have pretty awesome sales/events that go on! The employees were really cool people, they even had Donnie Dark playing on the TV! Great place to hang out and definetly going back.If youre an artist, you can sell prints there!!

Too expensive... Variants are really high as well as the CGC books. New hot books are never available on new comic day. Why bother then??

Great little shop. We needed a comic book for Silas school project and ended up with 13 of them! Well be back! They boys were both so excited!

Great selection but very unorganized and messy. Very difficult to find what you want. Overpriced toys and collectibles with damaged/sunbleached packaging. When asked about specific products, the guy behind the counter snobbishly told u, Im not really into that when a simple, No, i dont carry that would do making us feel stupid for even asking. Not a place i would go were it not the only game in town.

Been without a comic spot since 99 issues and fos closed and or moved. Came across this the other day and its great. Really nice staff and welcoming store. Prices and selection are both great. I left with a 45 issue run of xforce and cant wait to go back.
