Well, since maps is asking as to how it went, will be short and to the point. As much as I hate leaving a bad review for a local business, I have no other choice. Made appointment 2 weeks ago to take in vehicle for what shouldve been a somewhat simple repair and more than 24 hours later, after getting their text about signing up for updates and whatnot, I had to call them......all to find out my vehicle wasnt touched at all. It is clearly a business vehicle with an air conditioning issue. I was expecting much better. Had to go pick up. I didnt expect vehicle to be repaired in this time, but looked at wouldve been nice. Go read their yelp reviews also....Many of the same sort of issues from others also. Excuse was that was behind on another job. If that was the case yesterday, could you have told me that when I called right before it was brought in? Not a happy camper.

Super friendly and easy to work with! They had my car for 10 days but they made sure that everything was fixed before they gave it back to me.

Drove in with a vibration and a warranty from CarMax for our Honda Pilot. They found a lot more wrong and put up a good fight with the warranty company. In the end they performed $12k worth of work and we only paid a deductible. Very impressed and grateful they fought for us and treated us as a valued customer. We now have a practically brand new vehicle under the hood and am so grateful for their diligence in doing everything the right way with the right parts!

I had another repair done on my vehicle on Monday April 12th, and happy that I did! I have no hesitation in returning this coming week for even more repairs. Great customer service. On a side note - when you hear an employee make a comment about how their job at Motor Motion is the best job theyve ever had (in so many words); that speaks for itself. Dont hesitate to visit them whenever you need repairs.

Ill try and keep this simple and short. Its easy to leave a 5 star review when the work is done right the first time and the price is right etc. However, when things go wrong and they will from time to time and the frustration builds it becomes more difficult to leave a positive review. When things go wrong is when you see the true color of whom your dealing with. I give Motor Motion 5 stars because they did the work correctly, things did go wrong that were out of there control and they still did the right thing BY DOING THIER BEST. Not taking anything from the end result which obviously matters, if you looking for a shop that is qualified to do the work on your vehicle, Motor Motion is that shop. If you looking for a shop that will do their best even when things go wrong Motor Motion is that shop. I give them 5 stars, more if I could.

First Id like to say that i have never in my 33 years left a review for anyone but i really felt compelled to do it for this business. They are by far the most professional and thorough mechanic i have ever been to. To start, my experience started with Tina. She was so kind and understanding and made sure to go over every little detail with me, and made every follow up call promised. (I had a complicated issue so a lot of calls occurred in a relatively short period of time). The other person i had the most interaction with is Greg. Which to my surprise is the owner. I didnt know until after our business had been concluded. Not that it matters necessarily, i just thought it was cool that the owner actually physically works at his business. Not something you see a lot of. Anyway, he was the one that diagnosed my engine and helped me understand and prove why what had happened did. While diagnosing the engine they took pictures of everything that needed to be addressed. So that i wasnt just hearing them tell me what was needed but rather was able to see it for myself. They even offered to take me out to my van to see what i was concerned about for myself. On top of just checking out my issue that i voiced they made sure to check out my entire vehicle to make sure there were no other unforeseen issues. They then emailed the entire report as well as gave me a physical copy of it. The email included all of the pictures taken as well. The final thing Id like to add is that once youve gotten your vehicle worked on there they have a website where you will get a log in and it will tell you everything you need for your vehicle maintenance in the future as well as keep track of anything and everything vehicle history related. Its very useful for those that love their vehicle and want to keep it for a long time. This place overall is well worth my money and time. And for once in my life i have a regular mechanic that i will be going to for all my maintenance needs.

Brought in my truck because of an an oil leak and 100 other issues. They were so thorough!!! Thought was something worse and told them that. Gave them every opportunity to take advantage lol but they went through with a fine toothed comb and had a great report with pictures and videos supporting. Honest group, and with mechanics that can be hard to find. They made a life long customer. (My dad had similar experience).

Just bought a 98 f150 and Mike and Greg knew what issues to fix. No parts replaced without asking me first. I got a good detailed list of what still needs done but they didnt pressure me into having them do the work. I really like the diagnostic pics of before and after work is done, and pics of any issues remaining that require attention. Im adding this shop to my vehicles mechanics.

Not very happy with the cost of over $400.00 forReplacement of battery and analyze engine for not starting sometimes.

They arent cheap, but the service is the best Ive received and they provide evidence for every single issue they bring up. So I never worry about them trying to scam me by saying something is broken when its really fine. Its obvious that honesty is important for their business.Also, I live in Turlock and they still pick up and deliver my vehicles with no extra charge. They also do a light cleaning of my vehicles when they provide service as well. I believe you get great bang for your buck and being self employed, it really helps that I dont have to stop working to bring my cars in... I just make a call, they handle all the rest and I get to keep working and making money. It actually makes it overall the cheapest option for me in that regards.

Very welcoming staff when you walk into the office. Helpful and willing to check whatever is needed. Brought in my Hummer H3 had a check engine light for reduced power and traction stability; Plus my cruise cruise wasn’t working. Greg informed the throttle body has to replace for the reduced power and repairing the electrical wires under the dashboard. I waited and sat on this before I wrote this review. I purchased a car and was looking for a mechanic shop that I could trust and keep coming back to, thats how I found Motor Motion. Going through tons of reviews and even the fact that they are family owned and seemed very for the community were all check marks for me! The first visit seemed to go well front desk help was a little rough around the edges but nothing that couldnt be over looked. Beautiful building everything was looks great from the outside! They were knowledgeable on submitting claim forms for your insurance that was very appealing to me.Now here is where it goes south. Brought my car because my seat warmer went out. They submitted claim got the insurance to take care of it but said I had another problem with my turbo fuel injector and it needed to be replaced but insurance wouldnt cover it. Ok...Ill pay sounds serious. Get my car back and get home and notice the alarm is now not working. Ask them to check it since they were messing around with the electrical I thought it could have been an accident. They charge me to have it checked. That didnt make me happy. They managed to get the insurance to pay for that but still made me pay a diagnostic fee.Already feeling uneasy about this but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Go in again for a routine oil change and come out needing almost 1000 worth of shocks now. You see where Im going here. Everytime I bring in my 2015 car I keep walking out with new issues. Was than persuaded to open a synchrony credit card with them after I was told about my shocks. Wow I was foolish.Opened the credit card really thought I needed the shocks. Walked away with the work done a new credit card bill but an uneasy feeling again. Let alone at this point im tired of the 6hr oil change jobs. They keep your car all day for an oil change unless you tell them you need your car and than you still get it back 2 to 4 hrs later its ridiculous honestly.Just came in this week for another routine oil change giving them one final chance, I figure they know my car I might just be acting paranoid. Get my car back suprised I didnt need another 1000 in mysterious work. Well after 2 weeks I notice my car is leaking large amounts of oil everywhere!!!! At first I thought it was A.C. water but no it was oil. Took it back was very upset and was treated with little concern. Told this is common it happens for multiple reason with the oil plug. I dont know much about cars but a routine oil change shouldnt lead to oil all over the guts of my car and my driveway. If I hadnt noticed my car could have been in some serious trouble. I believe these people overcharge, I believe they create problems that lead you to have to come back, and they take advantage of people who dont know better. I should have listened to my gut instincts the first time. If you read other reviews people express the same feelings and I shouldnt have ignored that. Its a shame when you cant trust a business. Dont be fooled by the smoke and mirrors.

I took my truck Into Motor Motion for a couple of issues because I new the dealer would be more expensive. After some research I found that Motor motion was the best place to take my truck. I have other issues I need have taken care of and won’t hesitate to go back.

Had my catalytic converter stolen... I drive a Prius, got with my insurance, called around and Tina and Greg were by far the nicest people to deal with... Especially since the following DAY, after the repairs, theft was attempted again!!! I called them in tears, and Greg had me drive it back down to the shop-- they put it up on the rack and thankfully only a portion had been taken. They made the repairs, again, at a very good rate... And whoever tries again isnt going to get it out easily. I will continue to take my car here for service as long as we live in Modesto. Genuine service people!! Thank you again Motor Motion 👍

I immediately respect an auto shop with integrity, that cares more about honesty to the customer than making a few extra bucks. I thought I needed a part replaced, but it turns out I only needed the system relearned. I didn’t have a lot of money to spend, and ended up being cheaper than I was hoping! They offer a shuttle service when you drop your car off, which I didn’t use, but thought was a nice bonus! And because it was my first time, I received a nice welcome gift bag! Also got a referral for a place to get my car Smogged. Would definitely recommend!

Im in the middle of a nightmare move from Central California to Southern California. My friend was in the process of driving my car down to me when it died on the freeway near Modesto. I took my F350 to Motor Motion after speaking with their rep that they work on diesel trucks. My truck was towed in to their shop and towed back out with an $800 bill! They replaced parts that didnt need replacing and recommended another part to be replaced which was replaced and still no start. I took the truck in to another diesel shop and got a completely different recommendation for repairs and when that was done I had my truck back running! I wasted $800, plus towing, and some other parts that were recommended that I purchased on my own and still have in a box that I can not return. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR DIESEL REPAIR.

Basically the best part about this place is that they provide a shuttle. The staff does not communicate anything and waits until the last minute to notify you whats wrong with the vehicle. They would much sooner charge you to run tests on whats not actually wrong with your vehicle than fix the problem from the start. I have no idea why this place has such high reviews.

When I go to a new shop, I expect to get full integrity and honesty, as everyone else. If I could give a zero star to this shop, I would. I took my car in two weeks ago for them to check on my AC system, when I picked it up Greg said that my AC system had failed, I asked if I could talk to the technician, and I wasnt allowed to. So, he gave me an estimate of roughly $2,300, the next week I took it to another shop b/c I had my doubts of how my ac was working sometimes, so it turned out that my AUC sensor and Humidity sensor werent working, which costed me $70 to fixed it. Shame to the owner of this place, trying to rip people off.

Stopped by for an oil change and the employees were all helpful and kind! I will definitely be coming back for some repairs that need to be made!

Given a newspaper, etc.. and not been Robbed of 75 minutes of my life and gangged up on by some passive aggressive dont let u talk.. all American hard working family that is obviously better than some first time customer and his synthetic oil change.Lmao like I said. Went in for an estimate on some work. WOW is this place over priced or straight up liars about man hours needed. For example $340 to drop a gas tank. $85 to adjust wheel bearings. $1100 to pull a simple dash. I know everything takes half or a third of the time they stated it would. A fuel filter which cost $12 and takes a couple minutes to change was $83 labor and $32 parts.. Parts: $336 for a $130 pump. $180 for a $50 heater core. $80 to check the torque on 6 bolts that are easily accessable . . . . This shop will never work on my truck or get a recommendation from me a, a AAA member.

I went in to Motor Motion to get my rear brakes done because my brake light was on. They checked the brakes and they were fine. They ended up doing a diagnostic on it and found out that I have the wrong differential put in my truck. I had my rear end done about 7 months ago so it was still under warranty. They dug deep in my truck to find the problem and took their time. I am VERY VERY pleased with their service and I will be going back whenever I need my car worked on!!!

Were from out of state, our engine light came on our diesel truck, lost power. These guys fixed exactly what we suspected. Also detected bad brake fluid and transmission fluid, heed their recommendations- we service our vehicles regularly and our transmission needed changing so bad, it now runs like a Duramax with Nikes! I called and asked for a quote for my Pontiac and the gentleman on the phone was rude right off the get go. I needed a lifter done on my vehicle and needed some pricing to get started, he said he would call me back in a few and never did. Had to take it to another shop and they got the $1,100 in service from me. Customer service is number 1 and always call the people back if you say you will because they expect you will.

We recently moved to the area and received a coupon in the mail for a free oil change. Not knowing where we would get our cars serviced around here we decided to try them out and very happy we did! They have such an inviting atmosphere and my daughter was occupied the entire time with the play area unlike I have seen anywhere else. They were honest and spent a good amount of time inspecting my vehicle. I knew I had an oil leak and they took the extra steps to determine the exact location of the leak and gave me a reasonable quote. I feel I can trust their judgment and am now currently having my leak fixed. They even dropped my husband off at home and are going to pick him back up once its finished! I now know where I will be taking my vehicles in the future!

These people are theives. I have been an industrial mechanic for over 20 yrs. I know nonsense when I see it. These people prey on the unsuspecting public. They spent the major part of day inspecting things that were not broken. Just a silly use of time. I went in for a simple air conditioning service. Trust me all the things they say are free are not really. They sneak it into their prices. Basically I paid $150.00 for them to tell me my a/c doesnt work. Oh ya, thats what I brought it in for. Their is no way I would pay what they wanted to fix it. They wanted to rebiuld the complete system. These people are clueless when it comes to delivering decent service at a reasonable price. Thats all I ask. They should move to someplace like Beverly Hills where people are more inclined to flush money down the drain. They might find their nitch. I waited all day and paid 150.00 for absolutly nothing but a head ach. Like I say, no reason to waste your time and money here. Find a real shop.

If you like being gouged on parts prices and not having your problems fixed then this is the place!!! I gave them 740 for a cat and Distributor O-ring,told them the car failed on high nox and the EGR works,Ive been told that usually means bad cat but Im no mechanic Their technicians should have properly diagnosed my car,found out why the nox is three times the limit,and fixed it. I would have found a shop for life. Instead they over charged me,took my money(for repairs that didnt fix my problems because of improper diagnosis) and sent me down the river, now off to find a shop that doesnt keep the mechanics are crooks stereotypes alive.
