We would like to thank Sam at Modesto Ace Hardware for his genuine customer service and recognition, he made us a key for our Kia and he went out of his way to check our key fob to see what was wrong and reversed the battery that autozone put in upside down which is why it wasn’t working. This store has a good selection of items. In addition, I love their choice in decorations. I can generally find something unusual here.

Poor customer service. Returned 2 plants w/receipt bought less than 24hrs ago. Cashier Rose asked me 2x whats wrong with them I explained that at the service desk..asked to get in line(didnt explain why)..so I asked..why Im I getting in line? He said the next cashier would help me. 🦗 the plant didnt even have ROOTS on the bottom (just stuck in dirt) is thats why the sale? Oh, no return after 30days and no dead plants return per the Nursery supervisor (couldnt see name tag)Yesterday was a clear sign NOT TO SHOP HERE....they refused my $5 off(lead female with black/blonde hair w/glasses) because they were expired ..but I was told over the phone due to the pandemic they would honored under the rest of the year. I do miss the old store here. I am now a customer of Lowes and Home Depot.

The workbench department was very helpful and I highly recommend their assistance. I needed a spare FOB key for my Moms Honda. They ordered, cut and programmed it for me. The dealership would have charged me at least $70. more. I am happy to have gone to ACE!! THANK YOU!

Im a frugal person so I have a love/hate relationship with this store. I absolutely love the things they have but I dont purchase much 😆. They are expensive. They are the only place I can purchase a gallon size Eileens VF-11. The employees have always been so fantastic! The shiny self defense items were screaming my name but I thought they were overpriced so I didnt buy any.

This Store is AMAZING ￦¤￦ it has a massive amount of all different kinds of power tools. U name it they have it. I wish there other location in escalon was like this one. Its a grown ups toy store.

I received an outrageous quote to fix a small plumbing issue (they wanted almost $800) so I decided to fix it myself. The team at Ace on Oakdale Road really came together for me. Specifically Tom! He literally sat in the aisle to explain what I needed to do, held my hand (figuratively) throughout the whole process, and was just as excited that I pulled it off as I was. This type of customer service is so sorely missed and is exactly what the homeowner needs! Thank you so much for allowing/encouraging your employees to provide this level of service.

While checking out Your credit card reader did not read my card and the cashier said try it again so I tried it again Then she asked if This is credit or debit and before I could push The debit button she pushed it And then asked if I wanted cash back and I told her Im more than comfortable using this machine myself thank you very much for your help but Ill push a button to myself and I said no I dont want cash back so she immediately pushed the button It declined so we did this for a 3rd time each time I told her to leave the buttons alone Ill do it it myself yet she continued to do it then I asked her well since youve done that much why dont you put my pen pencodian thats when she told me I was being rude

The store staff is always very polite and accommodating. The style of the store is very upscale and doesnt feel like a hardware store which is somewhat odd. But its very relaxing and you feel more at ease when shopping. The prices here seem to be slightly higher when compared to a larger big box hardware store. But on the face of It that is why its better.

When in need..they have anything you need...Always like shopping at Ace...You can catch bargains...I did last year for Christmas lights..Great assortment...I get no grained dog and cat food there too its called call of wild my animals love it

This place has a lot of random stuff in front for impulse buying. The PVC pipe isnt where you think it is. They have the PVC adapters/ends next to the PEX pipes that are 10 long. You want a 10 white PVC pipe; you need to go to the front of the store next to the key maker.They do have a great selection of unique keys. If your kid is getting their home key, I would take them there.The fans there are overpriced for sure. They want $28.99 for the same fan you can get at Walmart for $18. It would be best if you were price matching any products you wish to that are expensive. You will save money that way.It would be three stars, but the staff was kind and helpful. As soon as the line got long, they had cashiers up and running quickly.

This store has everything you need for your home. They even sell clothes. Staff is very friendly and are easy to find. Theyll take you right to the exact product you need they are very well informed. Try getting that at any other hardware store. To me its worth paying a little more for excellent service.

BBQ department staff always friendly, we went in to look for a Blackstone Griddle and Jared answered every question we had and is very knoweldgeable in his department on all the griddles and grills.

If you are tired of being ignored and treated rudely at Home Depot then get to Ace Hardware! They have an unbelievable culture of polite and helpful employees. Honestly cant believe how much product they fit into the size building they occupy. Have never had a bad experience, reminds me of the way it was with Orchard Supply.

Simple and easy place to grab home improvement items without having to go search through the depot.

I needed to get a couple of things, but didnt know where to find them. But a sales person showed me exactly where the items were located. There were no problems at all. Very happy with the service.

Went to home depot first to buy a dewalt fan. Their site said they had eight in stock, went there and found none. No one was around to help check the stock so I left.i went to ace hardware and saw it immediately. Then they asked me if I needed help. I was in and out within 5 minutes, loved it

What we experienced was unspeakable, as soon as we walked in the store we had security people watching us, we felt very uncomfortable We intended to buy flowers, potting soil and other garden items but left with only the bathroom fixture. This upsets me that this still happens to hard working families.You’ve lost a customer.

My first time here, was very surprised at the selection and helpfulness of the staff. Id go back.

I had been all over to find a front door kit, I stopped at Ace Hardware and oh.. my.. I love that store. Its big, clean, the customer service is friendly and helpful. The Christmas decorations got my little granddaughter very happy. The down side is the lack of options for door kits, I came across the same issue everywhere though. I was told because of COVID stock is hit and miss. I will definitely shop there again.

This is the only ace I ever seen, that carries carhartt clothing. And they have a big selection!!. But know that if you dont look like you are one of their normal customers they will follow you and watch your every move like if youre stealing or something and constantly ask you if you need help like they dont want people looking around the store at things that they want to purchase they just want you to get what you want and get out of there as soon as possible kind of attitude so thats there major down fall.

Finally went inside after years of passing this store up. Should have gone inside long ago this store is amazing and has a great selection and the staff are very helpful!!

I needed a new air hose barb to fix my airhose at home, ace has some unique fittings that other hardware stores dont always have, whether its brass, PEX, copper, steel or otherwise.So i wanted a 3/8 barb on a 1/4 NPT fitting and they had it.What they dont have is the 11/16 brass hose ferrule and the crimping tool for it. That would have been a major plus and advantage for them.**They also have these Flexzilla hose fittings so if your air hose needs new fittings at the working end and you need a quick replacement then they have these in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2, slap on a coupler and youre good to go back to work.If you gotta have the obscure type fittings, try other places, like Amazon, grainger, praxair or google.Ace is usually good for small type copper fittings that you can figure out how to slap somethin together if you need to. They have a plethora of fittings for gas and air hose application.

While I do miss Orchard Hardware, the location that this Ace Hardware took over, I am overall very happy with how this Ace has turned out.It had the same feel of the old Orchard Hardware, which is nice if you used to frequent it. Things are easy to find, the store is well stocked, cleaned, and presentable. And it’s a bonus that the staff is very friendly and not pushy at all.

I came to this place because I needed two inch and a half couplers theyre only about a dollar a piece they only had one coupler and one rubber hub I asked the manager Jamie if she can reduce the price of the hub to the price of a coupler its only about $2 $2 doesnt make or break anyone but she refused to work with me and was very smart alec piece of advice go someplace else where they care about their customers I will never come here again I only wish I could minus Stars.

They have a good variety of nuts and bolts from standard to metric and many other items. You could also get your fishing and license there.

The managers have well trained staff constantly available to help with a smile. It is quite refreshing to have a new hardware store open that clearly puts customers above all else. The management staff is outstanding and always nearby to help as well...such a great experience...highly recommend Strand Ace Hardware on Oakdale road, Modesto. Love the commitment to hiring local college students to work at thus store. Great community support!
