Honestly as a woman, I feel comfortable coming here. They have never tried to upsell me, they areso quick, its always the same guys that work here, chairs and wait room are super comfortable and clean. Never had to wait. They may not be the cheapest but they will get you in and out without any hassle. What more can you ask for?

I cant thank them enough!... Driving home from work the other day my car suddenly shook and the dreaded check engine 💀 light came on. I had just purchased this car and was concerned that it wasnt actually in as good shape as the dealership had expressed. I really didnt want my car to break down in the freezing rain an hour from home, so I quickly found Grease Lightning, pulled in, and worriedly babbled out my issue. A very friendly mechanic immediately got to work analyzing the onboard computer and found that one of the cylinders had misfired three times. He explained his findings to me, then checked the status of the engine oil and all the fluid levels. I was concerned that maybe the dealership hadnt changed the oil prior to selling it to me but the experienced mechanic explained that he could see that the oil was reasonably new as it was a clean brown color and not darker and sludgy. Basically he calmed all my anxieties and told me that as far as what he could tell without actually cracking the engine open, everything looked fine.He cleared the warning lights and I asked him what I owed him and he said you dont owe anything, I didnt actually do anything for you.Ha! He saved me from driving home in an ice-storm at 5 mph out of fear of my car suddenly breaking down, and saved me the time and cost of going to the dealership (where Im sure they would have found something to charge my exorbitantly for). I thanked him and headed home, but I hope he knows how much I really appreciated his assistance. I wish I could remember his name because I would happily call in some praise to his boss/manager. Either way, I really appreciate the friendly manner in which you explained everything to me without using overly technical terms or resorting to condescension, which can often be the case when Ive dealt with mechanics. Thanks again. 👍🏼

They are always fast and theyre have great customer service. I prefer them to my dealership who always take almost an hour to complete my oil change even though I usually have the first appointment of the day.

I prefer shopping local when possible to support small business but my experience here was a little dissatisfying. The oil change was great, the service was fine, the guys were friendly and they showed me the new oil level on the dipstick, part of the oil change process is that they also check your tire pressure. On my service receipt the psi they noted was 2 less than what my car is supposed to be at but I didnt realize that until I got home after they had closed for the day. I left my car parked in my driveway overnight, no other driving after the oil change. This morning I got up to drive my wife to work. We went 5 minutes to the highway and as soon as we got up to speed on the highway the low tire pressure indicator came on. I pulled to the side and prepared to get off the highway at the next exit to check the tires. Before I had a chance to exit my tire started making the noise of a tire with low air, as I got closer to the exit the tire completely lost its air. I had to stop on the side of the highway to change the now flat. I have never had low tire pressure and I regularly check and maintain all the functions of my car. We waited until grease lightning was open for the day and I brought the car in. I let them know everything mentioned here in this review and how it was too coincidental that my flat occured so close to them checking my psi on my tires and how I had not driven it since. I was told you probably hit a pothole I told the guy I think I would have noticed hitting a pothole that gave me a flat out of nowhere. He offered to check the psi of the other tires. After he checked, all 3 were fine in normal operating condition. He said if I wanted I could go next door to get a quote for a new tire from their attached full service garage. I think it is too coincidental to have been a pothole I could not feel. My fault for not double checking the service receipt with the low psi and not double checking the different areas of my car, my guess is that when they checked the pressure somehow the valve on my tire got stuck slightly open and then when I got up to speed on the highway enough air had been released to trigger the low pressure indicator due to the higher pressure from the increased speed. I was really hoping for some ownership or at least a discount on a new tire because it seemed far too coincidental to be a pothole. 2 stars for the quality oil change which is what brought me there in the first place but now Im on the hook for at least a new pair of tires.

The guys at grease lightning are very knowledgeable and competent. They walked me through the oil change options as well as checked all the fluids and air filter. I was long overdue for an oil change, and stopped at this local place after work - Ill be a returning customer! The service at Grease Lightning was fast and lobby was comfortable. The staff was very friendly... no pressure to add or purchase anything else. They are a little more expensive than my dealership but works in a pinch.

Had to get my oil changed for a last minute road trip. Everyone else had to schedule me hours or days out. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. $5 off for a new customer too.

Great service! Their services are first come first service, no appointments but as long as you call and see what theyve got going on they seem to accommodate you well. I went in the morning and was able to get right in. And oil change was completed in less than 20 minutes along with a vacuuming and windshield washing. They checked my tire pressure and the overall maintenance of the car in general. Oil filter was replaced and they made sure to show me my oil level before pulling my car out. All for less than $40. Good local place for me to go in my hometown. Quick and efficient so I could get my day going!

Horrible. Had the Tires rotated with an oil change. Took the vehicle to the dealer a few weeks after the rotation due to a knocking sound and was told left front wheel very loose. Ok, mistakes happen. Continue getting oil changed there for 12 months or so and the kid tells me on my last visit that the drain plug was stripped by whoever did the last oil change and they can’t remove it. He said “Don’t know what to tell you...sorry”. The last oil change (+ drain plug stripJob no charge) was done by Grease Lightning as their records documented. I own 5 vehicles none of which will be seen in their bays again. I told everyone I know in the area to avoid this shop. For the record I took The Car home and used channel locks to remove the stripped drain plug Grease Lightning stripped and replaced it. Dopes!

I came in for a oil change.They broke a part on the air valve on tire.Which in turn made the check tire pressure light on.Said it would take 4 hours to get part, bring back.When I went to bring back to replace the broken valve they had no idea what was going on.Said this is going to happen anyway in the future .I left the car, was told to come back because it was finshed. No one new where car was, keys were left in it and a perfect stranger to them took my car back home.NOTHING WAS FIXED IN IT.Weather this part will break or not isnt the issue.Their mechanics broke it and Im not going to drive with light on like they expect me too.Will NEVER go back and Ive been going to them for years.
