They have great burgers and their beer iz awesome. Love the Deep Space IPA.
The beers are all so good! Service is great!
The beers are excellent; the staff are top-notch; the food is just okay.
Just got here but this place seems pretty legit. The inside has a great vibe. Coffee is worth the price which is always a plus. Its gotten so difficult to find a good barista who know espresso. The furniture really complements the space. The taller backed metal chairs are a bit uncomfortable to work at if youre larger (62 220), but otherwise I have no complaints. The couches and chairs are especially comfortable. They also have a wine bar, which imagine would be great on a Thursday or Friday night.
Love love love Myrtle Tree!! My favorite place to come in town to get work done, have a glass of wine or catch up with friends. The food is well priced and delicious! Monrovia is so lucky to have a place like Myrtle Tree!
What a cute little cafe in downtown Monrovia. I was with a mommy friend looking for a quicker lunch option and found this place. Theres all sorts of potential here with the vast space and the couches make it feel cozy and like a place you could stay for awhile. My breakfast burrito could have had a little more flavor, but still good.
I went here for an event so I can only speak about the event (birthday party). This venue didnt seem adequately staffed for such a large party..about 100 people. Even at the beginning of the event, there werent enough cups, no ice, no spoons, no bowls for soup, no tea or soda. Eventually later, more items slowly became available. The room itself was nice and had a rustic vibe...the tables and chairs were adequate. But definitely needed more organization and staff.
Myrtle Tree Cafe is a cute corner lounge cafe on South Myrtle ave and E. Lime avenue at Monrovia. Its indoor atmosphere vibe was very chill and relaxing. Indoor seats were a mixture of lounge leather couches and maple tables and stools.Outdoor seats were rather small in capacity. We came here for a Sunday breakfast and ordered french toasts with fruits and two scrambled eggs and coffee. You order by the counter first before getting a table. French toasts/scrambled eggs were soft, fluffy, and tasty. Coffee was perfectly brewed. Fruits were fresh. Staff was attentive, competent and professional. Free Wi-fi available. Prices were fair and competitive. Street parking available. Overall, we had a good breakfast and dining experience. We highly recommend this cafe bar restaurant.
Great cafe. So much space that it doesnt feel like a cafe. A new manager has given it a fresh new look and the staff are very friendly. This is definitely the place to have a relaxing break from it all. Good drinks and a fair variety of food, desserts. They serve vine by the glass or you can buy the bottle. Very good selection.Very clean, warm and inviting.
Relaxing and quiet cafe to go study and have a cup of coffee. They have lots of tasty food choices. Very welcoming and friendly service. Definitely coming back here again!
Such a cute little cafe! I ordered the tomato mozzarella sandwich and it was really large for a reasonable price ($10). The service was great though and really made the spot special
Met an online friend for coffee for the first time! We talked like weve known each other our entire life!Adorable space for coffee, breakfast, lunch... and parties! They were closing for a a baby shower... adorable location!
Love this cafe! Atmosphere is awesome and so is the new owner. Cant wait to see what they do with a new menu down the road.
Love this gem! Great coffee and Id love to come back for a glass of wine, while they have live music playing. Love the building concept! Feels like youre in a comfy loft with all the senses being tapped!
Decent food, very chill and big place. Great for parents with strollers that dont want to miss out on brunch. The food gets a 3.75 coffee, service and vibe get 5 starts
Delicious food paired with really great beer and quick, friendly service. This place is definitely a “must stop” when I come back to LA from now on!
Nice clean place. Roomy with good coffee and friendly service.
I actually love this place. Its rather like a French hangout with large uncluttered floor space. So far I have been impressed with the food. They serve breakfast all day. They have jazz band on weekends, I think Fridays and Saturdays, and, I think, Sunday brunch. Its a very nice place to sit and drink Cafe and work on your laptop. They also have a retail section with soaps and other specialty items. This is turning out to be my roomies and my Go-to place. Delicious espresso, lattes with excellent foam. Recommended
Great place. It was difficult to choose a menu selection because everything looked great. I settled on the tapas and wine....smoked salmon and toasted mint herb bread. My friends had French toast and quich. The atmosphere is very pleasant with jazzy European music playing. We are definitely returning for another treat.
A little over priced. We know it is organic, but $8 for a glass of orange juice is a bit steep. Also, I ordered a quiche with tomato and cheese on top. They heated it just enough for the cheese to melt, leaving the quiche itself cold. They did to offer to fill our tea pot twice, which each pot holds exactly two mug fills. The place is very nice and inviting. Thought it might be a good place to work, but not sure it is worth it.
Wow. How do you make tater tots so bad? We ordered aan oat milk latte, which was delicious, French Toast, which was OK, and loaded tater tots, which were horrible. They came out cold and tasted at least a day old. After complaining, they reheated the tots so they came back warm and super greasy. Worst tater tots Ive ever had, including tots Ive personally ruined in college having attempted cooking after a wicked bender.
Great fresh deli. The meats and cheeses are extensive and very international. The soups and salads are very tasty. Im a big fan of their sandwiches which are hand carved and crafted. Great international market as well. Nice assortment of teas and wines to pair with cheeses.
Lovely spot and sometimes they have live big band playing there, what a gem this cafe and Monrovia has to offer!
Worst food I have ever had. I order nachos chips and they brought out the lowest quality chips you could buy from restaurant supply store. I would have been better off just going to the grocery store and buying some Doritos. Also services was not so good. Sorry wish it was a positive experience.
We love it, visit it frequently, and highly recommend it. The people, the food, the wine and the vibe create a soothing experience.
The prosciutto panini is addictive! Comes with a side salad with a delicious vinaigrette dressing (Yes - its better than your homemade!) Excellent service and beautiful ambiance. This is a great place for lunch or brunch if you love your body & you eat like it!
Lovely cafe with good food made of organic products. Live music makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff, and a little market area and deli in the back! Wonderful 👍
Beautiful coffee shop. i ordered fish panini. it was 12 dollars. taste great. the waiter was soo nice too
Friendly staff and amazing coffee. The Americano was fantastic. Fine robust taste.
THE WORST FOOD IN MONROVIA!!!😱It is the worst dining experience i ever had in my life. I had my daughters 22nd Birthday Brunch for 15 guest there on January 19, 2020. I did not realize they have no kitchen but only a prep counter. They sold and served us expired drinks, burnt pizza, everyones breakfast potatoes was cold and i order a Chicken sandwich and my husband ordered roast beef sandwich and they served us some process deli chicken and roast beef meat that looked like it came for the Oscar Mayer high sodium deli meat packages. It was terrible. I dont eat process meat. What their menu reads and looks like online is totally opposite in what they served my family. I will never eat there again. Next time I will take my family to the Peach Cafe in Monrovia, there food is delicious. The Peach Cafe was my 1st choice but my daughter wanted to try Mrytle Cafe because she saw the food menu online but it was all to our disappointment. Oh did i mentioned i had to set my own tables up for my party and more than half the chairs at the table were broken. Me, as a Business Owner in Monrovia California for over 25yrs, I dont think the Mrytle Cafe have what it takes to run a successful business. Actually i think the Board of Food & Health should be checking in on them so no one will be exposed to food poison. I would not be surprised if they are closed down with in the next few months, its the ABSOLUTELY WORST place to eat.
Great atmosphere, food was ok, wine assortment limited. Hosts very attentive. Music was great and engaging.
Very nice place. I go there at around 4 and its so quiet and relaxing.
Great atmosphere and great food. Love it.
Very spacious, variety of seating. Great place to get a coffee and do some work.
Out standing European American cafe. One of the best in Monrovia. Breakfast dishes, sandwiches, tapas, and many interesting dishes.
The place is really inviting and open. Like a zen garden meets a coffee house. You pay a little more because everything is organic and sustainable but the service is good and so is the food
Food and service very good. Food inventive and upscale
Cute cafe with great coffee!!! Ask for Justin to make your drinks because he makes them so well!!!
Food was decent nothing to write home about. The service was good.
Great place, good vibes, tasty food.
A rustic cozy place. I love it!
We have a good time, friendly people and good food.
Good food and good service.
Delicious, fresh, healthy, good environment. One of my favorite places. Cant say enough good about this restaurant.
Great cafe mocha and good customer service.
Good service, homely, healthy and not so healthy
The live music was fun ... But the food was not great. Even my coffee was cold.
One of my favorite cafes in the SGV - airy, open space perfect for studying and doing work. Well-priced coffees and snacks. This is in downtown Monrovia so theres usually plenty of parking, except on Fridays when it can get crazy with the farmers market.
Mondays service was great the owners daughter serviced customers with a smile food was over the top we ordered twice highly recommend going on Monday
The service is very poor. Waited over 45 mins for one plate of avocado toast and when I asked them about the status of it, they brought it out like it had just been sitting on the counter, and it was cold. While I was here, there were about 4 other people who asked for a refund on their order because it was taking too long.
I had lunch here for the first time today. I had the Calabrese Panini and it was very good. The salami was tangy, the cheese excellent and mustard fantastic. The service was good and very friendly. I highly recommend it!
Friday service, delicious food. Friday night music and food amazing!
Excellent service, food, and beverages!
Friendly, attentive, nice people.
Super Super Delicious Real taste from Italy
Aesthetically beautiful & the food comes with a touch of the gourmet. Great place to meet for converstion & on Sunday eve there is excellent live music with no cover charge.
Wonderful atmosphere. Relaxing. Good food.
They sale good coffee and sandwiches, also has wine tasting for $20 for a couple.
I love that its a 2 minute walk from work, but my favorite part is the fact that Pinky remembered my name after the second visit and always makes me feel like Im part of the family. Not to mention that the food and treats are FANTASTIC!
They dont seem to understand what no meat means. I ordered 2 different items back to back on the same night. I was very specific with the lady who waited on me that Im vegetarian & dont eat meat. Both times I got tons of meat & after the second time, vomited in the rest room & went home sick. Ruined my night!
Excellent food & incredible wine selection, live music, staff who are multi talented and exceptional - looking forward to becoming a regular here
Food was ok, need to have a bigger selection and gluten free options.
Order a cup of soup it was half way filled - called them they said they put in a large cup thats why it looks half way. But I ordered one last week and it was full. Rip off!!! never go they over charge for nothing!
Enjoyed a nice round a ping pong set to a fire playlist after dining on the yummy Jamón Serrano sandwich! I was in heaven to say the least!
Fresh and organic food. It was a pleasure to find this place. If its busy, it may be hard to find a table.
Nice setting, friendly staff and I love that they offer vegan options.
Live music was good. Food was okay.
Selection is limited, but the quality is good. Stick to the food items here as anything else is pretty overpriced.
Cheese and wine pairing...Very limited selection of wines.
Enjoyed the food an the betterment!
Cool location, downtown Monrovia.
Great place to drink
Food was dry. I have tried this place several times but I quit on them already
Lovely local deli cafe!
They have live music!
Who can dislike all-day breakfast menu.
Nice place
Great place.
