I did not enjoy my experience at this store, the beauty consultants saw me w my hands full of products and did not offer a basket, when I asked for one the security person just said “they’re in the front” idk but I would think she’d show me or have someone help me (??) zero customer service. I bought several things including an item that said gift w purchase; and I get it’s “while supplies last” but there was no curtesy like “here’s another sample” they act like they’re doing you a favor.. even when you’re buying hundreds of dollars of makeup, I will never come to this location, do yourself a favor and go to the West Covina location instead. And this review is for everyone there.

No where else to place a review so I’ll put it on Google. But this is the best Ulta I’ve ever been to. I come down here from home on my way to the valley down the 210 so it’s so convenient. Parking is great and the staff and amount of products available in this Ulta is great. A lot of other Ultas are out of stock on certain things — but I always find what I want here. They all know me on a first name basis and welcome me so happily when I enter the store and compliment me, recommend new stuff that came in, they know exactly what I like. They always have my order ready as soon as they see me it’s like all my friends in one store at the same time. Friday at 10am I had a hair appointment with Grace — I left at around 4pm. She totally transformed my hair from dull to a brand new me. For only $150!!!! Didn’t even have to cut or trim my length, it’s amazing. I got so many compliments. Daisy, Yvette, Ramona, Grace, Ashley, and everyone else here are so great I just can’t believe the amount of great service I get here. And for some reason every time I go in — it’s never overly crowded/packed, never have to wait in line. Just so perfect in every way possible. Love it here.

Rude customer service. I asked where the dermablend foundation was and I was ignored by two employees. Also when I walked in the employee who was in the front was very rude when I asked about the bratz collection.

I was only approached by one employee . Maybe it’s because I look young ? Anyway, I was helped by Cassie . She was lovely, kind, & very helpful . Every employee should be like Cassie .

I understand shopping has changed due to COVID-19, however I expect products to be non expired and that customer service be excellent. Instead, information from associates is ridiculous and their transactions are not accurate! I went into store to exchange an exact product because it was expired and opened, but my point 5X points taken away and given regular points.

I have been here twice since i moved to Monrovia and Ive had great experience. I was helped by Daisy both times Ive been there, whom by the way is super nice! She was very easy going and made my visit very comfortable. All other staff were also friendly.

Service was poor! Especially being kept waited by cashier who refused to see that I was standing at the online order pickup counter. They had 5 sales ladies (?) Who did not once approach me or ask if they could help me. The cashier FINALLY asked for backup and it was the ASM. But she didnt even smile or say hi or anything, she waited a good 3 min for her device to sign in before she even tried to greet me. Very poor service, I will not be shopping here again! Which is a shame because I made a hair appointment for next week but Im going to cancel it now!Just go to sephora!

Came in today to purchase what I needed and only one lady asked if I needed help this is the only reason as to why I’m giving a one star. And when once everything was scanned the lady only said hi, nothing like how are you. And she wouldn’t let me use one of the coupons that wasn’t even expired yet. Honestly this was my worst experience ever. And just because there were so many people in line she didn’t want to let me use it, what kind of behavior is this honestly!!

I have been to other Ultas and have had positive experiences but this store is not what Monrovia is about. All the stylists were rude no one greeted me. I came to check in and had to practically yell to get someone’s attention to let them know I was there to check in for my appointment. I have been to high end salons where the owner does my hair and she is really nice and has the best customer service but she doesn’t work weekends so I decided to give Ulta a try. Definitely regretting it. I’ll stick to an actual salon where clients are actually treated with kindness and are welcomed.

Meh...not what I thought...overpriced cosmetic store all glorified. not much in the way of hair products for silver hair. I wont go back.

I went there 2 weeks ago. This store is smaller than the ones I normally go to.I purchased Lacome body lotions. I wanted to biy 2 or 3 of my fav ones. They only had 1. Why is it they only have 1. Almost every Ulta only has one in stock.I would recommend this place if you were up in the Monrovia area.

I didnt really shop here cause I came in to sample a foundation I wasnt sure about buying until I tried it, so I asked the worker if they gave out samples. First she said what do you want to sample, and when I said a foundation she said no we dont give out samples. Sephora does, Mac does, So I felt like Ulta should and probably does give out samples, either she didnt want to go get me a sample or she wasnt informed that she can give samples or maybe Ulta really doesnt give samples. Either way I was walking out of the store unsatisfied.

I already took the survey, but I just needed to express my experience at this Ulta. I normally shop at Sephora and MAC but I needed to replenish my MAC mineral powder and see if I can find a bronzer as an alternative from Fenty. Unfortunately, I was standing in the MAC area going back and forth looking for someone to help me. NO ONE asked if I was ok or needed help. One girl greeted me 20 mins in while she was assisting another client. I finally got the cashier, and she was NOT friendly at all. Her name was Veronica. She was more concerned about her Co-workers’ conversation. Not professional. She then checks my $20 over and over for fraud. Unnecessary for $20 unless that’s the store directive. Fine. But she was not warm or friendly after spending my money. The client after me got a warm greeting. I’m actually contemplating if I should just return my items and go to the actual MAC store & Sephora. So upset!

I called this Monrovia Ulta store asking if they carry TARTE SHADE TAPE. THE WOMAN SAID YES. BUT WERE OUT OF STOCK! I SAID WHEN DO YOU RECEIVE YOUR STOCK? SHE SAID Today But It didnt come in. What? When will it come in ? IN TWO WEEKS SHE SAYS.! WHAT? WHERES IT COME FROM? ANOTHER STATE SHE SAYS. THIS IS REALLY UNACCEPTABLE TO ME! FIND A PLACE IN CALIFORNIA!! BOOO, I DONT LIKE THIS PLACE ALREADY & HAVENT BEEN THERE YET..MAYBE NEVER..

My favorite store!

I am in my 20’s and I have a 13 year old that I pick up from school and hang out with, drive her to activities sometimes when her parents are very busy. As a reward I took her to this new location last week She was excited to spend her birthday gift cards. I brought her in and we were greeted as we made our way through the high end side. It was our intention to just give the new shiny store a once over and check out what they carry. Turns out they don’t carry EVERY thing that the other Ulta does-like Dose of Colors and Colourpop. Disappointing but oh well. We only had about 30 minutes to spend in the store but spent less than that because about every other aisle or so we were approached by an employee-different every time- who had this raised eye brow surprise!!- look on their face asking if they could help us. Not a friendly smile-not a genuine hi finding every ok?-just a real feeling of what kind of trouble do we have here. Before long I realized they were acting like Sephora employees that thought we were teens there to either mess with everything or shop lift. I didn’t say much about it but my teen looked at me and said “I feel weird when they can’t even let us talk about walk around.” I asked her if she wanted to spend her gift cards and she just shook her head.This store has a Mac counter but the was an employee standing over it as well, so since we already felt unwelcome we just made our way out. On our way out about 5 employees not helping anyone else turned and watched as we left. I heard ONE person “Thank you.” As the door shut. Never have I ever been treated like that-except at Disneyland Sephora which I mean the teenagers there are crazy, I get that. I am an adult supervising a young teen who is obviously excited to visit a new Ulta. This was degrading. I won’t be back to this location even by myself until they can get it together.

First visit to this new store... always a fun time.
