Nice little place to stop by for a coffee or tea and some treats if youre a little hungry.They dont have a big selection of drinks but what they do have tastes great! You can tell they spend their time and focus making the drinks, which is why they taste so good.The location is small, perfect for you to relax, read or have a conversation with a friend. They have an outside patio where you can enjoy your drink while feeling the breeze. There is 20 minute parking at the front of the coffee shop if youre getting to go, or they have parking at the back of the shop if youre planning a longer stay. They also have a selection of books you can borrow if you feel like taking a small reading trip with your coffee.They do get busy at times so just be prepared to wait in line. Its no big deal, just sit down and relax or grab a book.If youre looking for a nice chill spot to sit down and enjoy your coffee or just some coffee to go, I recommend this place.

I dropped in here after work to try out a new to me coffee shop. The people were very nice and provided quick service. I tried their Cinnamon Vanilla latte with oat milk and it was great! I like the art and the book collection that you can enjoy at the shop. If I’m in the area again I’ll define back!

Ground Up Coffee is a small coffee shop on N. Garfield avenue in Montebello. They have modest selection of coffee and very limited pastries. They only offer a regular and large size cup coffee. Prices were fair. Indoor vibe was very chill and inviting. Staff was obsequious and amiable. I ordered a large Hazelnut Latte. It was perfectly brewed. Front and rear parking available. Overall, I had a good latte and order experience. I highly recommend this small coffee shop.

An overall great experience and nice little location easy to access off the 60 freeway. we came in on christmas day 2020 to grab a cup and were met with nice staff and quick service. im happy that they were open today as there were other people waiting in line as well. i think ill have to visit again and try something else too.

Great local coffee shop! The baristas were very friendly and helpful. They recommended a black cold brew which did not disappoint! We also enjoyed an iced honey oat latte. If youre looking for good coffee in an area where Starbucks abounds, I would recommend stopping here.

Just visited this place the other day and I have quickly become a regular and committed customer. Had some of the best black tea!! Its such a cute and cool looking place. The owners are really nice too! Its got a great vibe and its dog friendly! I would 100 % recommend this cool new coffee shop to anyone in the area. Its clean and totally comfortable to come and do work or if you need a quiet place to read. Another cool thing is there is a book shelf with a great selection! Stop by and check it out!

A gem of a coffee shop in Montebello, I was looking for a nice place to meet up with a good friend and we found Ground Up Coffee half way between us. As I drove up, parking is located behind the shop and there are street parking (short term) around. The coffee shop seems to serve the locals and their coffee is very good!! My friend and I ordered their pour over coffee and we enjoyed the two different options (Las Iluvias wet & the yirgacheffe). Their baked good also seemed good; I had their tasty chocolate chip cookie. The barista that helped me was friendly and knowledgeable, and the shop was super clean and welcoming!Though a little small, it seems to have enough space for a few people to sit inside and a few tables on the outside. This place is very well done and cozy, and I highly recommend you check them out. They know their coffee!

Cappuccino was oh so velvety and smooth. Scone was still warm and moist unlike most which can be a bit dry.

My friend and I are always looking to catch up and were always willing to explore new places... this time we came across this lil spot in Montebello. Ground up coffee is a nice, chill and quiet place to hang out. Its great for chatting, studying, enjoying your friends all while having coffee. They have a nice variety of both hot and cold coffees and to accompany that they have great tasting pastries! By the way, I love their set up, the way they keep it in order and clean!

I took my cat to a vet in Monterey Park and needed to find somewhere to spend my day working remotely while she was getting treatment.Ground Up Coffee fit the bill. I stopped by and there was parking available behind the building, which was convenient.Its not the biggest place, but its big enough. There are a couple of tables set up as well as some stools by the windows.They serve pastries and drinks. No vegan pastries, sadly. But I ordered some tea and sat down.Wifi is free and worked well. I also didnt have any issues with the noise level, it was fairly quiet.I would recommend Ground Up Coffee as a place to grab a coffee/tea and spend some time working.

I found this place on accident! And saw that it had some really good views. Mostly wanted to come here cause I saw the latte art, but definitely want to come back more due to their coffee being really well made. The service is really nice and friendly, which is always a plus in my book.

Their coffee is delicious, always. Their almond lattes are my favorite!! As a Salvadoran I was happy to see they have pour overs from El Salvador!! (Oh! And their home made coffee cake is heavenly!!)

Absolutely loved Ground Up Coffee! This is a cute little place right off the freeway.You have to come check it out as it is nice to chill outside a little bit while enjoying your coffee. You will want to come by as much as possible and try the different drinks they make.They do close a little early so note their times of closing. My girlfriend and I were a little surprised they closed early to us. But we still had a great time!

Americano had such abundant fresh aroma and tasted amazing! Their service was great also! I liked the local photographs on the wall and the mural. Parking available at the back as well! Would recommend! (Currently take out only)

A gem along the 60. Great Espresso

The coffee shop is located right before the freeway entrance so if you are driving the other side of the street, the U turn is not that comfortable due to the traffic and the curved st. And the parking lot is behind the coffee shop but the space is limited. However, surprisingly people are constantly coming in and the daily brewed coffee was good. Of course, much better than Starbucks.

It was my first time coming here and everything was just wonderful.

Our favorite coffee place. No competition. Their coffee is so good. Dont come here unless you want your eyes opened to what coffee should taste like and never want to buy coffee anywhere else again. All other major brand coffee always tasted sub-par before this place, but once we had coffee here, it made us understand why and what we were missing out on.

Phenomenal, they really take the time with each cup.

Dont go here if what you want is a super consistent, super roasted coffee. If instead you want a natural, always fresh, revolving selection then this is your place. ☕😎

Best stop for coffee and deliciously made sweet snacks. They use an Italian espresso machine and do extractions perfectly. They even do special requests served with a happy smile and best customer service. This place rocks. (Support local owners and not corporations!) Love this place!

Every Cafe I patronized was picked randomly and maybe that was a mistake but it is what it is. Cappuccinos from Paris reminded me of lattes from here or even straight up coffee with creamer. Dont get me wrong, they were good, but not cappuccino like. In my opinion, only Italy had cappuccinos comparable to what we drink here but not even their coffee was as good as Ground Up Coffees cappuccinos. Maybe its just my taste buds but Ground Up Coffee makes a fantastic cappuccino and is my absolute favorite place for one. Highly recommend.

I love this wellness tea, no other place like this place. The parking is around the corner it looks like your going into the golf coarse but your no.Friendly comment my first time here I observed, the burger place right before it, is not for the coffee shop parking, its a one way out only, please dont block the driveway thinking your going to be a few mins people comming out of the burger place cant get out and traffic backs up really fast.

I wish this coffee shop existed in Torrance. To the owners, if you are reading this, have you ever thought about moving to torrance or opening another location in torrance, we dont have a lot of roasters in Torrance, and you guys would make a great addition. Because your coffee is really good.The atmosphere of this place is minimal, hipster and with a chalkboard menu, a mini library if you want to leave a book or take a book, merchandise, and freshly roasted coffee beans with a description of where they came from. The chalkboard menu a straightforward selection of drinks. What I like is that they include a kids section which is nice. They also have outdoor seating. The location kind of seems hidden some how but the staff was friendly and so I decided to go with an iced latte.It was really good, a little strong but good. They have a nice selection of outlets and good wifi and with the other patrons quietly working it was pretty good atmosphere to get some work done. I got an hours worth of work done before it was time to go.The only thing I wish this store had was more pastries. I did like the one I had I think it was banana bread, I forgot the name, but it was good.

Was running early for a meeting and stopped in. Very chilled out spot that can do a Cortado right! They even served it how I would get it in Argentina with some soda water and a sweet. Made me have some faith in Socal coffee culture.

Im not a coffee or espresso expert... but theyre using LA MILL beans. High quality pastries... ask to see the selection.The owners took the time to answer questions. Great place to stop in if you want quality coffee and great customer service! I ordered a vanilla latte and my husband got the nitro brew float... highly recommend both drinks!! Our barista was very kind; great friendly face and interactive with customers, truly looked happy to be there, even gave my son a small cup of whipped cream to enjoy. We ordered to go, but they have indoor/outdoor seating areas; there is even a small doggy station on the patio for your furry friend!

Really lovely little coffee shop with the basic coffee lovers needs. This is the kind of shop my husband and I are always looking for when we want good coffee. They have a few kinds of herbal and caffinated tea and some GT kombucha on draft. Friendly owners and great service. Cucumber mint water was nice and they even have a little library with a nice selection of books!
