I called the office at 0930 and within 30 minutes Brian (the technician) called and said he would be at the house within a couple of hours as he was on another job. I couldn’t be home when he came but he explained to my wife in detail the problem (broken spring) and the fix. She called me on speaker and he was more than willing to explain it again, he and I also discussed a minor repair to a broken bracket that I was aware of, Brian added a bit of rebar to strengthen my prior repair at no charge. We also discussed a few maintenance issues for the future which I will definitely call Affordable Garage Door to handle when the time comes. Thank you Brian!

The technicians were very knowledgeable and showed me my issues and told me what they were going to do to fix it. I called Affordable and they came out the same day to repair my garage. Robert, the Tech was awesome, he was vey knowledgeable, and explained what he had to do in order to get the door woking. Service was prompt and courteous. The door was not repaired properly and would not work at all when he left. Cost was considerably higher than others for similar service. When I called him within an hour of leaving to tell him the door still would not work, he said he was so busy he could not possibly get back for 3 or 4 days, but he would call within 3 days to tell me when he could come back to complete the work. That was 2 weeks ago. Dont waste your time and money with this unscrupulous company.Within 3 hours of the above review being posting, I got a call from the owner of this company saying that he knew nothing of my problems and he was willing to do whatever was necessary to get my review taken down. He agreed that everything the repairman had done was wrong and said the man had been suspended pending the outcome of this case. Since I had already hired another company to repair the door, I told him I thought he should refund the money he had charged ($300) and I would edit my review to fairly reflect anything he did to try to rectify the poor service. He said he would gladly pay the $300 and any additional amount I thought appropriate but it would be contingent on complete removal of this review. The review will not be taken down by me and no refund has been received. I did not write this review to get paid off. I wrote it to hopefully prevent others from getting ripped off.

Not only did I receive satisfactory work on my inoperable garage door, I learned how it operates as well as how to troubleshoot on my own. Our garage door unit is 20-something years old, and it now functions as if it just got installed. I cant say enough about how easy it was to talk to Robert; most tech folks can be condescending to those of us with a load of questions. I. Am. That. Customer. Just as importantly, AGDRS arrived at my home on the same day as the call. Other companies would have had me wait at least a week out. In my case, it was an emergency as my family and I were en route to a vacation. AGDRS stepped in and made our getaway possible.

They replaced what needed to be replaced and made those subtle but important adjustments.
