The employees were super helpful! I was in a time pinch and needed to make a quick purchase. They were knowledgeable and got me out quickly....even helped me to change put a lacrosse stick at the store. I most definitely will be a repeat customer. The prices are definitely great as well.

We have been there a number of times now and every time my kids run wild in there, and the staff help me out by showing them things and making sure they don’t escape !! I am very pleased with this location. I had been searching for a elliptical machine and was going to purchase new. However, I checked the inventory at play degree in sports at and found the perfect elliptical at a great price. When I initially get the elliptical home there was a loose bolt on the pedal. I contacted them about returning it and they said no problem however, I found the loose bolt and simply tightened it up and have not had any problems with the elliptical But the fact that they were going to stand behind it really impressed me even though in my case it wasnt necessary as it was a good elliptical they just needed a bolt tightened. I highly recommend this location.

Clearly these people never have played sports in there life because the prices they’re offering people for there equipment is outrageous. I get you got to make a profit it’s the name of the game. But whenever somebody brings nice equipment in and you try to low ball like a run down pawn shop. Not good look. Phil the “manager” needs to tighten up dude has no clue

Helpful staff at the store. Id found a baseball bat on their website and wanted to make sure it was in stock since I was driving from 2 hours away to pick it up. They had it at the counter waiting for me when I got there. Great deal on the bat, outside of a couple small cleat marks, the bat looks brand new.

I walked in without a mask. There were two young male employees sitting down talking to each other. One had his mask down over his chin. The other was not wearing a mask. When they saw me, the one pulled his mask out of his pocket and put it on. The other pulled his mask up over his mouth and nose, and then told me I cant go in without a mask, and if I needed one. I said, No, thanks. And I walked out.Please dont act like youre being safe by forcing me to wear a mask if your employees only wear them when a customer is in the store.

They have been a huge help with building my home gym. The best prices and availability of any major/online retailers during the covid crisis. So pleased with their selection lately!

They have a good selection of your more typical sporting items baseball mitts baseball bats Etc they also have some gym equipment some of which I thought was a little on the expensive side so used equipment however everything in there was in very good condition no junk. Unfortunately I didnt find the item I was looking for can not fail them for that. Definitely somewhere Ill be going back to in the future.

Been trying for a few days to contact them at different times during the day. Phone never gets answered. Decided to drive there, an hour each way. Arrive at 2:30 on a Monday to find a handwritten sign in the window saying closed till Tuesday at 11:00. People milling around inside but not opening the door. Another sign in the window saying franchise for sale. Looks like theyre going out of business, stay away.

The staff were great! They helped me pick out catcher gear that fits my 6 year old. They were very knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge to help me make the bast purchase for my son.

I just got 2 bats from here less than a week ago and my husband and i used to get right much from there i went in without finding my receipt because i lost it in the parking lot (yes my fault) the kid behind the desk said i cant help you but buy them back cheaper.. WTH i had all the proof in my bank account i just got the bats and he found it in the system too!The kid last week that rung us up was clueless anyway.. i will make sure to never step foot in this poorly run establishment.. the kid would not even call the owner which i have dealt with numerous times!They need adults working that can help customers not kids! I will make sure intell everyone to STAY AWAY!WELL NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL THEY VET MY BUSINES & MY LADIES SOFTBALL TEAM if you cant work with good clients then close your doors!I spend ALOT of money on SPORTS & WILL SPEND IT ELSEWHERE SINCE THEY DONT WORK WITH PEOPLE.. I JUST LOST MY DOG YESTERDAY & GRANDFATHER WAS JUST PUT IN HOSPICE TODAY AND THEN THESE PEOPLE JUST MADE EVERYTHING WORSE BY NOT TRYING TO WORK WITH ME!

My two sons and I visited the Mooresville location at 7pm last evening to shop for a weight bar and weights. We were the only customers in the store during our visit, and there was one employee behind the desk. When we entered the employee looked at us, but no greeting, no welcome, nothing. We shopped and a few times my oldest son asked me how much is this? and I would answer I dont know because I cant find a price. Over half of the items we were interested in did not have prices, and the employee remained standing behind the desk and never offered any assistance. After 5-10 minutes I decided that if I could not find a price and the employee was not interested in selling anything, we would leave. No surprise, but when we exited the employee briefly glanced up from his cell phone, but did not say anything at all. Horrible customer service and we will never shop there again.

I bought a baseball bat for my 11 year old son based on the recommendation of the salesperson. I found out two days later at his first practice that the bat was illegal. When I went to return it 2 days later they only wanted to give me 75% because they said its used. I would definitely stay away from this store.

After staring at baseball equipment for almost 20 minutes, the lady behind the desk still offered no assistance along with no greeting when I walked in. Finally I asked her if she could help me select a wide barrel bat for my son. Its his first year playing and we know nothing about baseball. She proceeded to huff and sigh as if I was stupid because I did not know what they were. I needed to buy a lot but just got a $10 bat. It felt like she had to force herself to say thank you after snatching the receipt up I signed. I was so disgusted by her rude behavior that I decided to just drive to Academy sports. I will never shop here again. I will spend my money where appreciated.

This shop buys and sells old sport goods. You dont want to throw your working sports goods and can up size here.

Disc golf products are overpriced many of the discs for sale are used or factory second runs being sold at or above brand new prices. Would recommend spending the extra gas and driving down to the Pineville location who has fairly priced used products and a very knowledgeable staff

Awful!! New female Mgr answered phone @ 4:10pm on Thursday. I told her I have an exercise bike for sale and would like to email pictures and that the bike would need to bepicked up as im moving this weekend. She gave me an email address I got no response stating that the email was received or anything. I called this morning to f/up she said she had not had a chance to look at it. (STORE CLOSES AT 8PM)(great customer serv.) I called again at 3 oclock TODAY and talk to Colton he checked with alleged manager she said she has still has not had a chance to look at it Colton open the email pictures did not download so I resent the images. I called back 10 minutes later spoke to Colton again he said email received however image is still slow to download i explained that I was moving need to get rid of the bike today and need to have someone pick it up which is what I told the awful new store manager Colton advises me they dont they do not do same-day pickup great thank you waste of time!! (Note to self use Craigslist in the future)POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I asked for store Mgr I was told shes the new mgr.😑 Colton was fine he apologized but Im still rating store Mgr Poor. not shading u Colton (Mooresville loc)

Horrible selection of baseball accessories, I went in to look for glove lace strands and there were none. I was very disappointed because I drove 30 mins to come to the store only to be disappointed and there was a lack of pricing on items.

The used tennis rackets were terribly overpriced. The rackets of the same brand and type are priced in the same way new.

This store is never open. Every time we go there they are closed! I went there one day, the lady was inside would not open the door. 2hours after they should have been open.
