Purchased a Snapper riding mower and was very satisfied with Kim. He explained everything that needed to be covered and the price was good. Did have to come back for an adjustment and they were quick with the fix. Also brought in other lawn tools and they got them running perfectly. A good place to do business with.
Purchased a used snapper about 5 years ago, very well used ay least 1 time a week summer and fall still running today.
Great service called about a new mower that morning, it was ready to go by noon smooth easy purchase. As well as excellent prices
We purchased a new self paced push mower about 2 months ago and it is my favorite push mower. Doing yard work isn’t typically the funniest job, but with the self paced walk behind, I can go as fast or slow as I want and the blades cut to perfection. The staff were so helpful and I cant say enough good things! Highly recommend the Power Outlet for any of your lawn mowing needs!
I appreciated Jim providing good, honest, solid advice in helping me select the right mower for my yard size and type of turf. The staff at Power Outlet are personable, professional, and can be counted on for knowledgeable service. Great selection of quality machines available as well as full-service maintenance and parts. Highly recommended.
I dont do many reviews, but I wanted to share the recent experience with Power Outlet. My experience in working with Jim (and team) at Power Outlet was nothing but positive. My wife and I were treated with respect from the moment we walked in the door. Despite some of the negative reviews, we found them to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to understand our needs and concerns before presenting few solutions! Not once did we feel pressured, uncomfortable or as if our business was less important than any other customer that was in that day. I witnessed everyone being treated respectfully (no matter how they looked).Jim provided an honest assessment on repair cost to value with our damaged Husq mower instead of telling us to bring it in just to make a quick buck on a repair. We appreciate that sort of honesty. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of the equipment they had in stock. So far, we are 100% satisfied with the Toro 30 Time Master mower we chose (in fact, the best mower I have ever used).Customer Service is huge in my book and Power Outlet would get an A rating. Quite possibly the costs are a bit more than a big box store, but the service received made every penny spent worth it.I would recommend Power Outlet to anyone!
Called and spoke with Gary earlier today. Have an old Weed Eater grass edger no longer being manufactured. After replacing the carb, found that the gas tank needed replacing, however it had been discontinued. My only solution was to attempt to rebuild it. Explained the problem to Gary, who talked me through the repair over the phone. I did what Gary suggested and am happy to report that after I did the gas tank repair, it started on the first pull. Gary was patient and most helpful to a total stranger. And I can’t speak highly enough.
This place rocks and Jimmy is the chief rocker. I was looking for a 2021 Ferris SRS™ Z3X 5901694 - 72 37HP. for my son in law as a bday gift. I called just about every mower company in NC. No one had any in stock in fact the earliest they were telling me was September due to back orders. I stumbled on the Power Outlet and spoke with Jimmy he said give him a few days to see what he can come up with. Two days later I received a call and Jimmy found one for me up in Michigan and had it shipped down a week later it arrived Betty handled the wire transfer easy breezy. The best part my son in law had no idea he thought he was picking up some dirt bikes for a friend and Jimmy and crew played along. When he got there Bam they hit him with the surprise. Jimmy also took the time to show him how everything works and give him a few tips. Talk about customer service and theres more. Turns out his trailer was too small to transport the beast. No problem Jimmy let him borrow a bigger trailer to take it home. First rate service from beginning to end.
Jim and his staff always friendly and helpful. Jim takes time to explain how to operate and the functionality of their products. It’s one thing to sell products, it’s another to know the products they service and sell. First class operation. Been a Power Outlet customer since 2001.
Ok. Im an Echo man. Affordability and quality. There a Still dealer. High price and problems. Employees nice and friendly. Dropped off my big commpesser will see
Called and asked about a part for my mower which I purchased from them. Girl on the phone immediately said they didnt have it before checking with a more experienced sales person or checking to see if it could be ordered. I Will be taking My business to another ferris dealership from now on .
There are many other places to get your parts. Half of the times if you get apart from there theres no box or bag. Makes me wonder if they buy off Amazon and resell the parts for a markup. Every time I go somewhere else I get a box or a bag with Husqvarna or steel part number. I cant remember who it is but one of them I cant stand. Very rude and noxious I want to say its from New York or upstate or jersey. LKN small engine is so much nicer customer service and knowledgeable.. if you ask him what question at power outlet they get annoyed and disgruntled that youre wasting their time.
Papa Jim and his crew take great care of all my small engine needs!!!!I have a fleet of equipment from carpet cleaning machines to lawn mowers!!!The service department are very good and responsible!I appreciate having them in the lake Norman community!!
We are always taken care of with knowledgeable folks. They sell good equipment
Great find. Had everything I needed for our mower. Very nice workers.
They are great unless you are black, or mexican, then its a no go. No help.. looked at us like we were less than... also no refunds. Would suggest lkn small engine
Been working with them as a homeowner over 10 years. Yeah, Jim is a little grumpy sometimes but always honest and fair. I repair own equipment and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable about what parts i need and what i need to watchout for. Bought a used Toro tractor last year for mowing in the woods and it has worked out well - even with a couple sets of blades.
They repaired my 20 year old Stihl chainsaw in August 2020 with no issues. It sat on a shelf in my garage until January 2021 and I couldn’t get it to run properly. I stopped in with it and he took a few minutes changed the fuel and explained how to prevent the issue in the future. I am happy with the service.
Theyve kept my 20 year old classic snappy.
Repaired my part quickly. Had it ready the next day.
Very friendly, very helpful. And decently priced!
In landscaping my entire life and have made numerous purchases here over the years.
From day 1 the owner Jimmy Beach and his employees have been nothing short of helpful, accommodating, and professional. I started my own landscaping company 2 years ago and it all began there. I have purchased 2 ferris mowers from him as well as several other pieces of equipment. I have also been there several times throughout the last 2 year to have my equipment serviced. To say the least I am very impressed with how the business is conducted. They are so helpful every time I go there and have always made me feel like a priority. I can absolutely say that I trust Jimmy and his employees to take care of anything I need. Highly recommend them!
Sharpened my blade at a fair price quickly!
My husband owns a landscaping company and has been going to the Power Outlet of Mooresville for the last couple of years for equipment purchases and equipment servicing. I am so glad that he has chosen to work with Jimmy Beach and his employees versus going elsewhere. They are very trustworthy and professional. My husbands business provides for our family and is very important to him and me. It brings me comfort to know that if there are any issues with his equipment, he can get right in at the Power Outlet and get the best service! I highly recommend this business!!!
Very knowledgable and a great staff. Always willing to go the extra mile!!
Glad i read the reviews, was getting ready to spend big money on a new chainsaw, think ill go down the road a few miles.
Good as always,Kem and Jim always treat me right.
I just bought a Toro zero turn mower from here. Jimmy was great and helped guide me to the proper choice for my needs. I shopped many other great dealerships where I think I would have been treated fairly. But ultimately, I appreciated the personal service and the VIP Program at the Power Outlet. Be sure to ask about that program when you stop in. Give these folks a shot before you but somewhere else.
These guys carry high-quality equipment and have the knowledge and experience to service it from chain sharpening to major repairs. Glad to have this resource close by.
Called about a price on a part. He said you like everybody else internet shopping!! Then slammed phone down! Would not recommend.
Didnt want to take time to find a ring for carberater
Stopped by after they closed and they were still willing to help me. Great service and knowledgeable staff.
Get service n helpful staff. Dropped off my pressure washer n the engine was not good. They call Ryobi n got it covered under warranty. Referred by friend who recommended them highly. They no there parts n do get work.
Bought my Toro 30 Time master from The Power Outlet, and had a great experience! Jimmy, Kem and Betty have always been helpful!
Great people, always helpful!
Recently Power Outlet of Mooresville gave me some outstanding service. I had searched everywhere else to get parts for my 14-year-old Ariens 16/40 zero radius mower. Nobody else had the parts. The good staff at Power Outlet researched and cross referenced the parts, and (lo and behold) they had the exact parts available under different brand names. To make the transaction even better they coached me on how to install the parts which was especially difficult. I immediately took the parts home, pulled out my wrenches, and my mower was running again within an hour. Thanks Again
Very informative and courteous!
Great place, great service, great people. I highly recommend.
Zero rating should be allowed. Read the reviews. The owner is stealing people’s money. This is a very unethical man running a business here!! He should be charged. New to Mooresville and didn’t know any better. We took our weed trimmer in for service on September 19th, 2020, because I was having an issue with it. I was told by the owner(I think his name is Jim) that the cost would be $40.00 to diagnose the issue, and after the diagnosis was complete someone would call me and tell me what needed to be done to fix it, and the cost of doing so. Seemed legit right?!?! He said all this would take place with in a week(7 days). A week expires and I havent heard anything back. I figured hey, theyre busy, and Ill give them a day or two more to get in touch with me. So on October 1st, the 12th day of them having it, I call at 9:30a.m. to ask about the status of the diagnosis and talk to a guy named Ken. He said he would track it down and call me to let me know. He called back around 3:45p.m. that afternoon to tell me that it had been fixed, and the cost was $115 and change to fix a $200 dollar weed trimmer mind you. He said the $40.00 I paid up front would be credited towards the repair and that I owed $75 and change for the remaining balance. I go pick it up on Saturday, October the 3rd and simply ask them what their policy is again, and tell them that nobody called like they said they were going to, to tell me what the issue was, and instead fixed it without my consent and charged what they wanted to, to do it. The owner proceeds to tell me that Im whining and that I signed a paper for the repair, and I did sign a paper, however the paper I was told to sign was for the payment of $40.00 for the diagnostic. The moral of this story is this is the worst customer service that I have ever had anywhere! Had they called like they said and told me about the issue, and what it cost, I would have been fine with it and said fix it, but they didnt. This is bad business and I wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to go to this place and give them any business. They dont do what they say, and when the owner acknowledged his place of business made a mistake, proceeded to tell me that Im whining. What kind of business man tells someone they are whining. Very childish. I had to leave before I ended up in trouble. He will push you to a very unhealthy point. Gave him $80 and walked out. Think he may need it more than we do. Hope you meet your match one day and somebody takes you to court or takes charges out on you. Not worth my time at this point.

Money isnt and has never been the issue, as I gave them $80 dollars and told them to keep the change and left. If you tell someone that you are going to do something. DO IT! I only gave a 1 star because this is the lowest rating google will let you leave. All I can say to anyone needing any lawn equipment, repair, or service is to look at the reviews of this poorly managed establishment(which is a 3.3). Had I done this instead riding by the place and seeing it, and figuring by the looks of it, I would just take my weed trimmer there for service. I wouldve never ended up here dealing with an owner and his piss poor attitude!!!!
As usual...surpassed my expectations. Dedicated and polite staff went above and beyond.
This man is the most disrespectful person I have ever seen in my entire life, he tells his employees that came to him with a complaint about there being exhaust fumes in the shop to just quit being wusses. he takes Parts off of customers lawn mowers to fix the mowers of customers that he likes more, completely loses the parts off of customers mowers all the time and then tries to tell them that theyre still in the shop when in reality he has no idea where they even are at all. He dumps oil out all over the ground there was oil filters everywhere and if you go in youll notice everything on every Shelf has a .95 after it. everything is .95 7.95 9.95 everything is .95. when you buy a brand new lawn mower in the Box it comes with a nice bottle of oil and air filter plus new accessories he opens the Box takes them all out puts the oil on the Shelf to sell it and throws in the cheapest bottle of oil he can afford. if a park cost you $2 online hell sell it for $12 just about everything he has will have over a 400% markup I saw him on many occasions get called out by customers for a $50 part that try he tried to charge $200 to $300 for and when they called him out he just said oh well yeah I guess you can let him have it for $50 then. if I were you I would run as fast as I could from the power outlet. Jim is rude, untrustworthy, racist, and above all things he is smarter than just about anybody on this planet and if you dont believe me just ask him he will tell you. This man not only does not deserve his own business but he deserves to be in prison and the fact that he isnt already is a surprise.
Nice place clean and friendly sale staff you would highly recommend this place
Caveat Emptor! Zero stars if possible. Purchased a part they charged $75 for. Found same part for $12 elsewhere. Turned out I didnt need the part and returned it 10 days later, unopened and with receipt. They refused to issue a refund. Only offerred store credit and some truly terrible and rude customer service. Seriously, what on earth would I buy from them at a 400% or more mark up? Sooooo... will probably never use the store credit. Stay away.
Great Service! Outstanding Products! Thank you for all of your help over the years. We will shop NO where for gas powered lawn equipment.
Best mower business anywhere. Have dealt with them over the company mower and when it come time for me to upgrade my personal mower, I went straight to Jimmy Beach. Good service and competitive pricing. I highly recommend them.
I cant give them a negative stars because this system wont let me.I bought the chain saw, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, weed eater from them 5 years ago and had all of them serviced every year I went in to have the service done on the weed eater and was told 1 week will be ready after 2 weeks I go to check on it and havent started owner explains what they found and I ask were the fuel hoses cracked to and I get told that he dont need anybody to tell them how to fix anything and hands me it back still apart and says have a nice day but keeps my 40 dollar deposit. Dont take or buy any thing from this bussiness
Waited 3 months for them to work on my go kart and charged me 700$ for new tires and adjusted linkage and got an attitude when I had to drive in to ask what was happening with it because on the phone nobody had any info this is the 2nd bad experience with them and I know a lot of people that live here that won’t use them anymore shoddy work at best
Great experience with Power Outlet and Jimmy, specifically. Great guy, knowledgeable, took the time to walk through the repairs necessary to my equipment. Didnt pressure me at all to consider doing all the repairs necessary or buying new. Consultative throughout the conversation. Will go here again.
I have been going to the Power Outlet for the past 4 years and every time I have been in this store the owner and his associates have gone out of there way to give me a great experience. I have purchased blowers, chainsaws, pole saws and had multiple repairs. I have pulled up to the business after hours and still received awesome service even after the store is closed. The owner has been in business more the 30 years and it shows. I will always buy my lawn equipment and power tools here. Sincerely Dr. Wing
Jimmy was very knowledgeable and took time to seacrch for parts even with me not having a model number! Very very good service. Highly recommend and they have a customer for life in me.
If youre looking for good customer service then this isnt the place to go. Its worth the 20 minute ride to Faith Farm & Equipment in Salisbury for service on your Toro products even if you bought it from the Power Outlet.
My experience at the Power Outlet has been nothing but positive. Jim always take the time to go over any questions that I have and has beenvery professional in all of my dealings with him. I would highly recommend the Power Outlet to anyone who wants quality equipment and service.
Didnt call before repair was made like I requested. Had my mower for 2 weeks and it was suddenly ready the afternoon after I called in the morning. Charged $130 on a $150 mower. Will never return to that business
Went in looking for a lawn mower (riding) with my son. was greeted promptly and talked extensively about needs, financing was quick & easy process. Salesman & women were not only attentive to me but to my son as well. Everyone was so friendly and I got what I needed at a great price. I will definately recommend to anyone looking for a quality product & customer service team.
Great business overall - fixed our lawn mower and provided excellent service. Also bought a power washer and same experience. Would recommend to anyone
Knowledgeable staff and good service.
I give them a mixed review. They were honest about repairs needed on my Greenworks lawnmower (only $80; I love this brand), but it took them month, when what they were supposed to do was provide a cost estimate first (in 7-10 days). Luckily the cost was low.
I have been doing business with power outlet since I moved to Mooresville seven years ago. They do all our servicing on all of our equipment chainsaws blowers lawn mowers trimmers Etc. I didnt like Jim he seemed like kind of a jerk to me. But over the years I have developed a better relationship with him. I read all the bad reviews and heard all the bad stories but I only judge for myself. Jim and I had a small issue to resolve this past week. One of his employees called me and gave me the wrong quote and when I went to pick it up it was $75 more than the quote. So I waited for Jim to come in and had a discussion with him he said he would look into it with he did. After having looked into it we discussed the situation and came to an agreement where he allowed me to pay the quote. I dont really think he had to do that I think he could have stuck to his guns and charge me full price but he didnt. He was extremely reasonable. He realized it wasnt my fault I think. I have been in his store when other customers coming in thinking their lawn mower should be at the front of the line and giving him an attitude. Jim deals with people on a daily basis and a lot of people. Not all of them are nice and not all of them have good attitudes. Jim was extremely professional and helpful and instead of creating a problem he helps find a solution. I give him 5 stars because I disagree with all the reviews on here Jim is very professional he has good customer service all you have to do is talk to him like a human being
Jimmy did a great job in helping me out with a problem that I had with my mower. He was honest, straight forward and right to the point! He called the manufacturer about the issue and asked them to rush order the parts as well discussing the issue with them to see if its a common issue or not. Turns out its not a common issue and the manufacturer is warranting the work all the way! Not only did Jimmy take care of me but he wanted to make sure that this was handled properly because it was something he had never seen before him self. I have a world lawn mower 36 inch deck, walk behind that is belt drive. Its a great mower. The issue is the vibration dampner off the bottom of the bell cup on the clutch assembly keeps wearing out faster than normal. So all of that is getting replaced. The issue is somewhere in between the clutch and the bell cup. Jimmy I cant say thank you enough. The mower is not even four years old and only mows two lawns. The crazy part is Jimmy remembers when I bought it like it was yesterday! I have bought other lawn equipment from Jimmy at The Power Outlet and I will continue to do so. Jimmy and his crew provide top notch service and always has parts in stock when I need them. Wether its oil, spark plugs, air filters, rubber bushing for vibration dampers, blades, belts and more theyve got it all. Thanks again to Jimmy and his crew. Keep up the good work. You got a life time customer here.
I requested complete maintenance on my Zero turn lawn tractor. Including both engine and hydraulic oil and filter change. Received an Estimate for everything including time to complete. After being a week late I called to get update. Difficult time getting through to someone that could provide status. Older women who answers phone is very unfriendly and should not be in contact with customers. Very Rude. After a few more days trying to get update and a call back from someone I stopped in to find out what was going on. They said they were wrapping up and gave me the cost. When I looked over the bill it did not include the hydraulic service I requested. I asked why they did not service the hydraulic system and they could not explain. The price was over $300 around the original quote with that service. I was told it would take another few days and an additional fee to complete. Last time I ever go there for equipment or repairs. Ace Hardware on Brawley for small repairs and Stihl equipment and looking for better tractor service provider.
Yes I see bad reviews...and I also see great reviews. For me....it was great.Jimmy and Kim helped me, a complete stranger to the place as this was my very first experience with these guys, above and beyond. We had an emergency to boot. I needed a certain muffler for a Honda V Twin 20hp from a water jetting machine. Every day we are without this machine, costs us hundreds if not thousands per day There were 6 types of freaking mufflers! Jimmy painstakingly called and verified exactly what we needed. Even coming outside to stick his head into our equipment to get the RIGHT serial #. There are several, to our annoyance.Overnighting it so we lose one day max to install. Thanks guys for the tremendous service!
Above and Beyond service. I made the mistake of buying a zero turn from the Home Depot. After no support and service, fortunately I found The Power Outlet. They managed to get repairs done under warranty and beyond. When it was time for a new mower, I shopped around some first so I had an idea of what I wanted and my price range, but knew I wanted to buy my a new mower at The Power Outlet due to their outstanding support. They worked with my budget to find the mower that was best for my needs and made me the best deal without any haggling - and I love it! They are even helping me sell my old mower for a very reasonable fee. These folks stay busy for good reason - they are the Best!
Waaaaay overpriced on everything but they have it in stock for sure.
Nice place, friendly staff. They had all the parts I needed for my chainsaw in stock when I expected they would need to order them in because they were not your typical maintenance parts. Great experience, will definitely go back to them when needed.
Very pleased with service, bought many things from here and never been let down with any of it! I will always come back! Brought my tractor, Jim the owner went well over and above. He solved all issues with my tractor. If you ever need parts or services don’t think twice about going here, he will give you the best service you can get. They will keep you updated and they solve any issue
My wife and I bought our used riding mower here about a month ago, and we were very pleased with the service. It runs like new. They fully serviced the mower before they delivered it, and they even gave my wife instructions on how to operate it. These guys know what theyre doing and theyve been doing it for a long, long time.
Terrible customer service! If I could give them less than 1 star I would too. Over priced and just flat out rotten service. Wish Mooresville would get a competitor for them. They have a nasty reputation and it shows.
If I could give zero stars I would. They had my saw for over 6 weeks and did nothing to it. I had to call them 3 times to get any information and finally just picked my saw up. I will be taking it to a reputable Stihl dealer to be repaired.
Have had our lawn care equipment worked on TWICE paid way too much and still dont work! How do you release equipment and charge people if the items are still in operable? BAD BUSINESS
If i could make this zero stars i would. Awful experience. Dropped mower off to be repaired. Called and left messages for weeks. No one EVER calls back. Finally got someone to answer the phone and they gave me an attitude. Called today after a month and was told it wasnt done. Asked for an estimate and was told the service manager is in a bad mood today and i cant give you an estimate. Was annoyed and told them so, and they hung up on me. Was told i owe THEM an apology for not being professional! Went to go pick it up to take elsewhere and it was buried amongst a ton of other mowers and it was never even touched! After being told it needs a lot of parts! Jimmy couldnt even focus long enough to get my mower out! Sat there for over an hour waiting again. Be warned! DO NOT GO HERE!
We took our mower to be fixed approx 3 weeks ago, we called Thursday 2 times to check status & the girl who answered the phone said she call back before 5:00, that never happened, so we call back Friday get a girl and she also said she would call back before 5:00, well at 4:30 we called back & the girl said the mower was in the technician area. I ask what that meant, she could not give me a answer. So I ask to speak with the service manager in hopes he could give a status. We waited forever on the phone, so I called from a different number while the other line was ringing, got a answer. Ask again for the service manager, he finally picked up the phone and starts out the conversation with I understand you have been disrespectful to my girls I try to explain I was just needing the status of my mower we dropped off 3 weeks earlier for repair, HE HUNG UP ON ME! I called right back again just ringing no answer, so I blocked my number & called back again on my husbands phone with mine still waiting for an answer. He answered the phone(the owner/service manager). I ask him why he hung up on me with no reply. He started screaming that he was putting my mower out in front of his gate for me to come and get it. This was at 5:00, they close at 5:30. I have a hour drive to get there. He just hung up without letting me respond. He the owner is rude and has no customer service skills. His girls have to lie for him because he cant keep help because he so bad to work for, therefore delaying all repairs & the girls not being able to give a status. He did not touch my mower, but did set it outside his gate. I sure am glad it did not get stolen before we arrived to pick it up. I dont know how this man stays in business. I only gave 1 star because no stars was not an option.
My husband and I purchased a weed eater. Great experience! Highly recommend! We have also had our pressure washer repaired there as well. Works great!
Outstanding Service. Jim was a big help
I have been a loyal customer for several years. In fact, I paid extra to be a VIP customer (very important person....what a joke). So today was it for me. I have moved my business to LKN Small Engine. This morning I picked up my mower for the 3rd time dealing with a deck belt issue. Brought it home and the belt flew off the pulleys as soon as the deck was engaged. So I called The Power Outlet and explained the issue and that I wanted someone to come pick up my mower (I live 4 miles away) fix it and bring it back. So the guy on the phone said Jim would have to approve it. Where is Jim? In a meeting. So I told the guy that I couldnt imaging a meeting more important than a very angry customer. So Jim eventually picks up the phone and starts off calm and seemingly concerned. But after a minute or so he tells me you know (enter name) it really makes me angry when one of my employees interrupts a meeting. Im in a finance meeting and as far as Im concerned an upset customer isnt as important as what Im doing. You see (enter name), without this finance meeting you (me the customer) dont matter. WOW. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. Then he went on to bast me for having his employee pull him out of a meeting all over again. I have spent my entire life in the service industry and have never witnessed anything so wrong. Jimbo, I hope that was a good meeting.
They had my lawn mower for almost two weeks and no repairs were done. I picked up the mower, purchased the part, went on line and fixed it myself. At first I thought their was another reason they didnt fix the mower but after seeing all the negative reviews guess this place isnt worth my business.
-Great business overall - fixed our lawn mower and provided excellent service.-Also bought a power washer and same experience. Would recommend to anyone
I have been using them for 12 years now. Always pleased with their service. Yes, they do get backed up in the summer so it is best to do servicing in the slow season. They communicate well with me when I need repair and give good advice on purchasing new machinery, of which they carry high quality brands.
We are new to the area and stopped by to see if they had a part for our pressure washer. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They had the part we needed in stock. They saved us the hassle of ordering another defective part from an online store. I will be returning when I need parts or new equipment in the future.
I told my wife to carry our weed eater to fix.. they were charging me 113. Dollars to fix it and 130 for the parts.. the weed eater cost brand new 130dollars.. SMH... I carried it to my budy. He fixed it. The part cost me 29 dollars.. and a12 pack of beer.. they really disappointed me.. never again dealing with them..
They earned a long-term customer based on their recent customer service. I bought a product from them that turned out to be the wrong tool for the job - they gave me a complete refund and I bought a different product from them which has been fantastic. Be aware that it may take some time to get service - because they really do take the time to work with everyone, you have to be patient and wait your turn. My only recommendation for the business is that they need to modernize their approach to paperwork and go paperless to the extent possible.
You would think that if a company is going to charge you more for their service than other places, you would at least get something for that extra expense. I have worked with the Power Outlet for years. Purchased a mower, a chain saw, a couple of trimmers, etc. I have used them for service as well, although their service is slow because, as they will tell you time and time again, well...were really busy.My last experience with them (and I do mean my last) was dropping off a tractor for service. I was not told at the time how long it would take, in spite of asking, but assumed ~ 1-2 weeks. I called at the one week point just to check, as I had been told they would first look at it and give me an estimate on repairs. I was told, very impolitely, that were busy and we will call you when we have an update. After two weeks with no call from the Power Outlet, I called again and was told that the service department was too busy to come to the phone. I got a call back from the owner who explained, surprise surprise, that they were busy and that there was no need for me to keep calling and asking about my tractor. They would call me when they had a chance. After three weeks, with still no calls from their service department, I called back and explained that if I didnt get an update by that day I was coming to pick up my tractor and take it somewhere else. I was told, and I quote, you know...we are really busy this time of year but Ill see what we can do. I got no call back.So I called today and explained that I would be coming to pick up my tractor. The owner got on the phone and told me that was fine, but (heres the shocker) were really busy and your tractor is probably buried behind a bunch of others, so well pull it out at our convenience. At their convenience.Nice. Ill drive an hour if I have to if thats what it takes to find a place to service my equipment that doesnt treat you like a nuisance for trying to give them your money.
They suck, simply put. I took my powers washer. Called after several weeks of no calls from them. Told they were busy and would call me. Weeks again go by and I stopped by to pick up my power washer they said they called me (yeah right). After paying over $150 to repair a power washer I went to use it and it doesnt work....
Horrible experience!!!! Couldnt get anyone to call with a diagnoses of my push mower. No one called back for weeks so started to call and get info. Finally after several attempts owner finally gets on phone. Told me we hit something and shaft was bent. Said trying to get warranty to cover but manufacture taking time. The owner did day I could step up to plate and for $200.00 he would fix. After several weeks again and no update started calling again. Owner finally talked with me again with much attitude and told me i need to be patient. Finally after 2 month I went and picked up the mower. Took this to another dealer in Ohio that is a personal friend of my brother. Turns out the mower was NEVER TOUCHED!!! The diagnoses was completely wrong. NO sign of hitting anything. Shaft Not bent. No nicks on blade. After 10 minutes the shop in Ohio determined no compression and Cam bad. Now working with Briggs and Stratton to try to get them to replace or send Cam to shop in Ohio.
Very helpful
Worst customer service ever!!!!!! Went in to get a part couldnt be bothered to even try and find the part I needed. He can only find parts threw a computer. When I said Ill try somewhere else, the owner got belligerent, and came at me from behind the counter half way across the showroom floor and got two inches from my face. Apparently its not the first time he has done this. Ive talked to a few other ppl and they said almost the same thing. Ill never take my business there again!!!!
Amazing service
It is true that you really don’t know how good a company is until something goes wrong. I purchased a piece of equipment and due to a miscommunication having nothing to do with Power Outlet of Mooresville, I needed to exchange my purchase. Jim, the owner, and Steve, both made this experience pleasant – They were polite and professional above and beyond what I expected. I appreciate their prompt attention to my needs and will recommend them to anyone needing their products or services.
I wanted to send a heart-felt thank you to you for helping us with our Troybilt XS mower. You went above and beyond with your customer service. We arrived late on Saturday and were kind enough to stay past your closing time to get lot number from the back. Everything was locked up, but you got it out for us. Because of that, my husband, Marc, was able to mow on Sunday before he went out of town. You also did a fantastic job of explaining the invoice. Because of your excellent customer service, we will be back AND we have already recommended Power Outlet because of YOU.
Have been a customer for 10+ years. Jimmy and staff have always been courteous and have worked with me to put me in the right equipenment. Repairs have been exceptional. Great company with great equipment and staff.
Went to The Power Outlet of Lake Norman today to pick up a gasket kit for Honda GC160 engine. After numerous times telling the parts counter person the specific part I needed and him bringing up the wrong part, he finally told me they did not have the part I needed. He said he would have to order it, the distributor had it in stock and it would be $14.95. I told him if I ordered it on their online store it would be $8.86. I asked him why the higher price and he said he didnt know then made up a story about shipping charges. He basically was trying to rip me off. this is the second time they tried to overcharge me. I will never go back there again.BTW. I ordered the part at Lake Norman Tractor Company next to Tenders on route 115 in Cornelius and paid $8.86. Lake Norman Tractor are honest and do great work.Do your homework before going to the Power Outlet and question what they are charging you.
I purchased a mower here about a year ago. I took it back for the annual service recently. They said it would be done in a week or less. After 1 1/2 weeks, I called and they hadnt started it. Said they would put it on the hot list and get it done. Three days later, still not started. Said it would be the next week. I told them to bring it back to me the next day whether it was done or not. They were magically able to work it in. Said it would be delivered between 8:30am and 9:30am. It arrived at 12:45pm. They charged me for 2 spark plugs. The delivery guy left a bungee cord on the deck and when I engaged the blades, it got tangled in my belt and pulley.I bought the VIP service from these clowns. Not sure what that got me! I wrote them an email and ask them to explain if their service is always this bad. They didnt bother to reply. Figures, even their customer service has bad customer service.
Not a good experience, moreover, this company left me suspecting that they purposely damaged a saw I brought in to be repaired after I didnt want to pay them the estimated amount and took my saw back (in much worse shape than when I brought it in). Out of principle, I applied my $39 deposit to a new saw, as repairs would have cost me 3x more money than an alternate service provider.I would strongly advise using a different company for service. Read the other reviews, it is not a coincidence there are such a high number of negative reviews.
Awesomes sales team great prices and they stand behind their products
Great people fast service. good deal
Disabled Marine veteran denied service. I was in search of a Honda motor and i was told by the staff that they offer military discounts, i always support businesses that take care of veterans so i decided to give them a try despite the terrible reviews. I called in with some basic questions that should have been easy to figure out, however it took Jim some 2-3 hours on the phone with various business trying to solve a problem that took me 15 mins on google to find. He wasnt listening to what i was trying to tell him over the phone and would have saved him hours if he comprehended. So i spent the night researching pricing for the motor, the next day i come cash in hand ready to make a purchase however i had just one question....Me: can you please explain to me why your price is $300 more compared to your competitors? ( im thinking maybe they offer a extended service plan or something that would be worth the extra money and if that was the case i would have been happy to pay)But Jim didnt have a answer only the following insult:Jim: Well now i know what kind of guy you are, just searching around to find the cheapest price you should just go buy the motor somewhere else then. Im not doing business with youVery rude and unprofessional, sorry i made you do your job buddy but now i know what kind of guy you are ... a shady used car salesmen .....i will never come back. The customer service is terrible and WAY over priced. You didnt do your job on selling me the extra $300, you couldnt even answer basic questions on the matter.i did my due diligence Jim perhaps you shouldve done the same.
This place has got too be one of the rudest bunch of people. ...Called about a price of a part....Told him I was going to check one other dealership, he hung up on me...While he was checking on too see if the had the part I was looking for acted like it was killing him too do so....Got my part from someone else $15.00 cheaper and was happy to help....if If you shop here you $$$ comes easier then mine...!
Knowledgeable staff, awesome product. Won’t cater to people’s impatience. Love it!
Do not buy any parts here. Its highway robbery and not sure how they have stayed in business. I needed a replacement gas tank for a Briggs engine. I found it online for $49 + shipping, around $54. Decided to find it locally to get it faster. Lady quoted me $90 and it wasnt in stock. Thats just ridiculous to mark up that high. I could have gotten it straight from Briggs for $60
