The review/star rating portrays the level of professional (the lack thereof) of the service department. Sales dept has a nice, friendly fellow - no complaints with him.I was unlucky to be involved in a trailer incident where I lost a wheel and was even more unlucky to have brought my boat/trailer here. They were two weeks out which they communicated upfront and I was fine with that. After two weeks, not receiving any call, I called them and they informed the trailer cannot be repaired. My option was to either bring own trailer or buy a new one from them. The boat being very old, I chose to buy a second-hand trailer thatd be much cheaper and brought to Moorhead Marine. Thats when things started to get interesting. Called next day to see when the boat will be moved to the new trailer and was told, Well get to it when we get to it. Next call, got a earful, Doesnt matter I said were two weeks out three weeks ago, we are very busy.It took over a month to get the trailer and boat back where they did nothing but transferred the boat from the broken trailer to the replacement trailer I brought in. Charged me $272 (2 hours) for the transfer of boat. I also took care of the immobile trailer (hired towing) and a second opinion I got was, the broken trailer was a $300 fix.If you need things fixed, do not bring it to Moorhead Marine. If you see Shawn at the service dept., run the other way. They are the worst rated/reviewed marine shop in the FM area for a reason. Google other marine shop in the area and literally anyone will be better than these guys.Since I cannot reply to Shawns response, I am editing my original review. I am not in boat buy/sell business. Review other feedbacks from customers and you will see a pattern here. People are happy with the sales dept. but the service dept. experience is consistently poor. That is not a coincidence. It took you more than two weeks just to tell me the trailer cannot be fixed. And it took you another two weeks to transfer the boat from one trailer to another one. So basically a month to tell me, you cannot fix it and trailer transfer. And initially wanted $341 but settled for $272.

We had a great experience this last weekend purchasing a new Alumacraft 175 Trophy. I was traveling from Michigan and Dan took care of us and made for an easy transaction. The boat was more than I expected and was well prepared when we arrived. Dan gave a thorough overview of the amenities and we were on our way home. Dont waste your time extremely poor customer service. The guy behind the counter put out the impression they dont want business and I was happy to leave them with just that. Rude would not recommend.
Heed the warning signs from the reviews and do yourself a favor and not bring your business to this place and look elsewhere, I wish I had done the same. Horrible customer service!!
Do not take your boat or jet ski to get serviced here. They messed up my brother in laws jet skis one needed a whole new motor after they serviced it. Terrible customer service. They act like you are wasting there time when you are there. Not impressed.
Save yourself a lot of time and frustration. Go anywhere else but Moorhead Marine. We purchased a new jet ski in 2020. The engine blew with less than 30 hours on it. We were without our jet ski for 6 months while Moorhead Marine ordered a new engine for us. Upon return inspection we found the seat had been ripped while being serviced. We were told they ordered a new one for us. 2 months later we were told to bring the damaged seat in as they needed to send it to the manufacturer. 2 months later! We are now approaching close to a year of issues with less than 2 months of actual physical possession of our jet ski in one piece. Employees have been rude and can’t be bothered to follow up. We seem to be a nuisance after spending $18k on a brand new jet ski. I do not recommend.
Heard a guy in parts joke about a small parts order made by a customer made over the phone. He claimed not worth their time and didnt waste his time on it...? Now I know why the couple small parts I ordered previously never showed up and they couldnt find the order. Later they moved him to sales so guess what? dont believe anything they tell you! Buy from somewhere else you can trust.
Bough a new ATV from them in July of 2020 and I am still waiting for my title and license. Since the middle of January I have been in the and called multiple times and I still have no answers and they never call me back when they say they will. I would not recommend buying anything from there.
Clutch went out on the boat. Got it in and when I got it back they didnt even fix it. So I brought it back and 4 weeks later they got my boat out of the shop
The folks in the parts department are rude and lazy at best. They totally seemed to be bothered that I needed help with something. Tried talking to them about an appointment for getting my sled looked at and I have never in my life seen someone actively NOT want business. Cannot imagine what theyd be like to work with if I had actually brought it there.He was a blond gentleman but I honestly didnt put much effort into catching a name because I knew then and there I would not be bringing my business there. It was a early 2000s Ski Doo. Have a nice day.
Absolutely horrible customer service. We purchased a new Ranger boat in April 2020. We have had nothing but issues with them since the day we picked it up. Literally the day we picked it up. Between needing things fixed that their staff caused and warranty work not being take care of, to their staff not returning calls or emails, we will not return.We are taking our boat to another dealer for warranty work. They are great trying to get the sale, but after the check is cashed, they could care less about you. A huge disappointment.
Terrible customer service! Went in for a boat part...mind you I went to the boat store for parts because I am not an expert on boats. The gentleman laughed at me and said he couldnt help me find a fuel filter because I didnt know the boat serial number. Best part is I had the fuel filter with me and he couldnt figure it out by that. Then told me to go somewhere else. DO NOT GO HERE!!

I had them winterize and store my 2018 Alumacraft for me the last two winters. Both times batteries werent charged whe I picked it up. This year I take it on the lake and it takes on water. Take it back and they tell me something I probably did and try it again. I do and the same thing. I take it back to them. Over 312 dollars to repair two split hoses. Only 36 bucks for parts. Rest in labor and diagnosis. I question if they winterized it. There answer.? My boat is already 2 years old. Things wear out. Besides Alumacraft has a big roll of hose so was probably old hose when they built the boat. He said about 6 to 8 years old. And this was the mechanic. Im done with them. No knowledge of the boat, and half clocked workmanship but ready to take your money.
The guy was rude and unhelpful. He clearly didnt know how to answer our questions and out of what I can only assume to be embarrassment of his lack of knowledge he talked to us like we were idiots and shouldnt be asking the experts our questions.
I would absolutely stay as far from this place as possible.I brought my sled in to get worked on Monday jan13 they told me they would have it in that Friday the next Monday at the latest because I had a trip planned the next week that Monday I stopped by to see if they had figured anything out they then told me they were busy with the boat show and wouldn’t be able to check it out till the next week and that they made more money selling a boat than working on a sled. I then asked to talk to the manager and he came over and informed me that the boat show was more important than doing warranty work on my sled. I told him that was very unprofessional and called another dealership to see if they could get my sled in.When the manager found out I had called another dealership he told me to get my sled and get the hell out of there. I then went home and got my trailer and upon returning found my sled half buried in a snow bank in their back lot.I will personally never step foot in that place again and would suggest taking ur business elsewhere,the manager is a joke.

Just bought a New Ranger from Ryan. We did this entire deal over the phone and internet (I Live in Wyoming). Everything went great! They had a boat with the equipment I wanted, and when I asked for a price quote, the first price given was extremely competitive. (I had quotes from dealers in a 4 state area) No more negotiation required. Everything Ryan said he would do, he did. The boat was equipped and rigged just like described. I have had no problems with anything on the boat. They do a pre-delivery service check, and I believe they were thorough. Ryan was in constant communication with me during the entire process. He even delivered the boat most of the way to me! I could not be more pleased with this dealership!
Have never written a bad review before but want to tell you about my experience with Moorhaed Marine. Bought a 2018 230 RXT with sound at Fargo dome boat show in January 2018 Did not get it until Middle of June was told would be here much sooner then that. After I payed in full in March to get the 3 year warranty Called and stopped in many times to see when it would be in, did not feel like they wanted me there and I was wasting their time! Finally got it home and found blotches of epoxy on back where it was put together, took pictures and went to Moorhead Marine felt like they wanted nothing to do with this. Went to another dealer was taken care of on the spot with great customer service!!!! Will not go back .
Absolutely horrible service. The parts department person is very rude and hung up the phone on me when I was asking about my parts on order that he forgot to call me when they came in. I would NOT recommend to order any parts from Moorhead Marine.
Was there in showroom for 30 to 45 minutes looking at boats, the last 20 to 25 minutes,we were the only ones there. No one bothered to even see if we needed any help.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! If I could give a 0 starred review I would.Absolutely horrific “service”- my ATV was with them for 11 days, at least 6 calls to them went unanswered and no one ever attempted to call us or our insurance company back. Had to take it back from them when no call backs happened.Today, after waiting in their service area for 10 mins, no one ever came to offer assistance so I went out, loaded my ATV up and left. A few minutes later a service person called and proceeded to threaten to call the police on me before hanging up. Save yourself the frustration and worry and take it ANYWHERE else.
Customer service is terrible so far. Phone calls have not been returned, therefore we have to keep calling. I actually called the manufacturer to find out the answer to my questions. I get the feeling that they dont really care if they sell a pontoon to us or not. I wish there were Ranger dealers that were closer.
Terrible service. Ryan sold us a CamAm and now refuses to talk to us. I wrote to Stacy Zimmerman, the owners daughter. She did not even respond. Their ad on television is a joke. Highly recommend staying away from Moorhead Marine.

Terrible place to buy a used boat from I purchased a 05 Ranger Reata from them the salesman told me the boat would have been gone thru at least 2 times before i took delivery of the boat and it was filthy dirty when I came to look at the boat he said they would clean it before delivery as well. I came to pick the boat up after hours because I had to work it was covered so I didnt think to check under the tarp I got my boat to Devils Lake untarped it and it was still filthy they never cleaned it a bit so i spent 2 hours cleaning it myself then i took it out on the water to test it and 2 gauges didnt work and my trolling motor didnt work and the brakes locked up on the trailer every time i went to back it up so I called up the service manager he looked at the records and my boat was never in their shop and checked out or cleaned so I then had to talk to the Manager he said pull it back here and we will look it over so i pulled it back there from Devils Lake and left it with them for like over a week wanted to get back to fishing so I picked it up they said they ordered the 2 gauges and wired the front so my trolling motor would work now and fixed the wiring on my trailer so backing the trailer would work nope got it back to Devils Lake my trolling motor still wouldnt run the wires were bad so I wired it myself and got it working and went to Blakes Marine and asked them about the trailer and they said i needed to buy a different pig tail for my plug in then it worked but now its Jan 2018 and still no gauges and the Manager doesnt seem to care a bit about me since the day I bought the boat horrible customer service at that dealership all they care about is the sale
