If I could give this place a 0, I would. I bought a 2021 9.9 Mercury Pro Kicker EFI from Mike. This kicker motor has been by far the worst investment I have ever made. The electric trim doesn’t work the manual trim doesn’t work. Ray’s staff are basically unavailable and won’t return phone calls. I have used the motor less than 10 hours. Mercury won’t have anything to do with me.Update:The morning after writing this review Eric from Ray’s contacted me. I explained my whole situation to him. He is getting in touch with Mercury to see if there is anything they can do. I will update again later.
Eric in the service department is very helpful and will do the extra to help customers. I highly recommend dealing with Rays Marine. All the staff is friendly and professional.

I purchased a boat from Jenifer and she was very helpful. She was upfront when she didn’t know the answers to any questions I had and spoke to whoever she needed to to find the answers. Financing was simple and fast. I had some issues after the fact and they were fixed promptly and I was treated with respect. I will do more business with them in the future.

I purchased a used boat through Ray’s Marine in Moorhead and it has been the worst possible experience. I had issues with the motor immediately upon purchase.The service departments timeliness and lack of communication coupled with the inability to properly diagnose the problem has led me to no longer find them as a reputable dealer. After taking nearly 4 months to fix the motor issue I received an invoice which should have been covered under warranty. I would NOT recommend them to anyone and will not be returning.
Got our new pontoon a week ago, had a few things that needed to be fixed and they fixed them right away. We love the pontoon and thevgreat service that they have given. Well be telling everyone we know to go to Rays to get a new boat or pontoon
Great service all around! When I was ordering my boat, the salesman was very good at letting me know of all the different options available. They are very knowledgeable and gave great advice on what options would be best for me and my family. The team there is awesome to work with.I would recommend Ray’s Sport and Marine to all my friends and family.

Over the last 15 years I have always had great experiences with Rays Marine in Moorhead . I have purchased boats, had maintenance services and winterization every year with them. They have always been extremely accommodating when I needed something on my boat or trailer to be looked at. Very friendly staff and I always felt comfortable working with them. From the manager and sales team to the service department I have nothing but good things to say. I would definitely recommend Rays Marine Moorhead for any boat purchases as well as service if you need it.
My wife and I went into Rays Marine in Moorhead yesterday on our lunch. The second I walked in, I did not feel welcomed. I was looking for a brand new motor for my great grandpas pontoon. 25HP motor. He looked at me like I was a nuisance. He threw out his price. Did not offer a card, did not ask what my name was, very poor customer service. Had I been looking for a $50,000.00 pontoon, my service may have been better. I will take my $6,000.00 down the street. I do not recommend.
I will never purchase another item from Ray’s Marine in Moorhead. After spending over 50,000.00on a tri-toon . After it was paid for I feel the customer service was non existent.New pontoon was deliver damaged,didn’t address the issue until Bennington was notified of the issue.Even then not resolved to our satisfaction. On top of our dissatisfaction they would not even offer a tank of gas or oil change to compensate for our time and trouble. General manager even hung up on me. Pretty sad.
We took our boat into rays to do a tune up before summer and told them to go through everything. After finally getting our boat back (a week and a half after they said it would be done), we took it on vacation. The first morning we had it out, it ran terrible. It spent another day and time out of our vacation, in a different boat shopped getting the carbs cleaned out. The mechanic couldn’t believe that someone actually went through the boat and let it out of the shop running like that. We won’t go back.
