Needed a freezer in an emergency as ours had stopped working. Called Queen City and spoke to a very helpful associate. He let me pay with my card over the phone and my husband picked up the freezer later that afternoon. They knew him when he pulled up and walked in the door. It’s a always great doing business with a company that’s not a big box. The associate also told me that the unit was a display. I didn’t mind but being in retail myself I know some customers do not want the display. Thank you Queen City!

First, let me say that the local ordering of my dishwasher was great. Greg was very helpful. I ordered a GE dishwasher 4/29/21 during a special of free installation. It was to come on May 4th. When they called and said wed need working plumbing we were having issues and the date was changed to Friday. It came on the 7th but delivery people said they were not to install because we didnt pay for that. They left the boxed dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen. I went to my local store and he scheduled installation for the following Tuesday. I also spoke with main number and she (Patricia) assured me that the free installation would be scheduled for Tuesday. When I did not receive a call to confirm, I called Tuesday morning. I was told they didnt install in Morganton on Tuesday. I asked for a supervisor who did call me back (Ulonda). She also told me they did not install here on Tuesdays even though two different people had told me it would be. It was rescheduled for Thursday the 13th. They showed up. I had to remind them to be careful with my wooden floors after they put the dishwasher down without a pad. They then seemed to have issues getting the dishwasher in and changed from speaking in English to speaking in Spanish which I do not understand. After they left, upon our inspection, the dishwasher is not flush with the counter (it is a top control dishwasher which is to be flush) and they secured the dishwasher from the top instead of the sides as is required with granite counter tops. Even sticking out, it sticks out more on one side than the other.I know I shouldve probably caught these things when they were here but they had me addled with the delay, the floor, their talking, etc. Bottom line is that I have someone coming this week to install correctly. Id rather pay than deal with Queen City again. It is a shame because the local store is very helpful; however, with all stores now price matching Ill look more at service.

Great place to buy appliances. They beat the bigger chain store by a 100 bucks.

I had to make 5 trips to the store and I had to make over 20 calls to the store. When I would ask a simple question I was given a phone number and told to make the call myself. My phone number was given out without my permission and the fridge I bought didnt work from the first day. I finally had to fight to get my money back and go with out a fridge for a week. I wouldnt give this store a star but possibly a minus 5 stars. No one I have spoken to since is surprised by the way Gregg handled himself. I will not be recommending this store for anyone.

It was my first time to go to Queen City in Morganton,NC I spoke with a guy named Randal and he understood exactly what I needed, when I got there Gregg assisted me and showed me the appliance and out the door I went. Very easy and they all were great in making the sale go smoothly. I will use them again in the future.

Couldnt figure out who worked there and who was just hanging out. Not sure if the guy that kept talking to us even worked there. Not a big fan, not sure how they are staying in business. Maybe my expectations of a retail environment is too high for an organization such as Queen city. Reminded me of a nice fleamarket.

Recently bought a subzero refrigerator. It was delivered and installed by Ted and James. Without going into detail it was a difficult install(house layout). The install was done in a professional good humored way. Rare to find that skill level and professional attitude combined. Ted and James make me want to continue doing business with Queen City. Great service. Honest. Delivery drivers were nice and professional.

We have purchased all of the appliances for 3 house from them and we will not be back. Absolutely horrible service can’t show up on time that’s even if you get a time. Waited 3 weeks on stove and they just wanted to refund our money after they missed the time that there store told us to be home to accept delivery the. Lady in the Charlotte store hung up on my wife.

The people were friendly and helpful and the prices were fair. But, no one in the store wore face masks. No big deal for some, life and death for others. The delivery was supposed to be Thursday but didnt happen until the following Tuesday. Two deliverymen effectively installed the new washer and removed the old one. Neither wore masks in my home. I suffer from COPD and am in the high risk group for COVID 19. I do everything I can to avoid any kind of respiratory infection. A friend of a friend died of COVID 19 and her son recovered but continues to suffer breathing problems 3 months later.

I am so impressed. From beginning to end, the purchase and installation of a new refrigerator went above and beyond. Johnny (sales) and Install Pros (the installation crew) made sure I got my new refrigerator and-get this-helped my best friend get my existing refrigerator. Its so rare to have that kind of customer service. This is the kind of experience that changes a one-time customer into a returning customer. I will definitely be back. Wow! Wow! Wow!

Sales person was attentive to my preferences,. Polite and friendly. He waited for my husband to come before the sale, and asked about the uses I had for the appliances, so that I would not find the appliances to be inadequate for our needs. The store was clean, display area was not crowded. Prices were competitive.

They have a good selection and prices. We were surprised to find out that after our appliances were delivered we immediately began to have problems with a dryer but they told us they couldnt help us and to call a repairman. It turned out to be an issue with the way Queen City installed it. It doesnt make me confident to shop there if they will not let you return a defective appliance.

Easy to buy! Delivery and installation were as scheduled other than first delivery came only on delivery truck so had to wait for delivery/install to come and install. Customer service courteous along with installer.
