Very helpful. Went in needing paint for kitchen walls and in a color from a competitor that they matched and made by the code. Running a great sale at the moment, 30% off and saved me some money. Associate seemed very knowledgeable, made recommendations on primer and paint based after asking what I was painting and where it was going. Very helpful staff on multiple occasions. I do some custom work and they have a good selection of colors for what I do (enamel color filling aluminum engraved stuff). Our new house will be painted in their paint and when picking out colors were able to take home color books. Just all around good paint store.

I was pretty disappointed in my experience today and after being a long time customer, I probably won’t go here anymore. I went in just after opening and told the man working I needed to get some stain. I had a sample of my floor and the card with the colors for the proper wood type that I had taken home weeks earlier to pick the right stain. I was going to be staining my stairs. He told me I had to bring in a sample of the wood I was staining so he could stain it first to pick out the right one. While I realize he wanted to do this to cover himself, I cannot bring in a sample of my stairs’ wood and told him this. He was very rude and cold and told me he couldn’t help me then and that I needed to go to a big box store instead. While I understand his reasoning, in this situation, it was impractical and his attitude was unnecessary. I understand the issues with stain, but I also know how to manipulate stain to make it match. Normally I have great service and everyone is friendly, but being a regular customer, after this experience, I won’t be back. I had driven in from Tremont to go to this store, even though Pekin is closer, so I left and went to Menards, in an ice storm, and picked out a stain and it matches perfectly.
