Needed a strut and bottom door seal for my garage door. Kimberly, Bob and the rest of the team were amazing at answering my questions and wanted to make sure they gave me the correct answers without wasting my time. They also didnt try to upsell me on anything and actually gave me lots of tips and answered all my questions to help me save money. Will be happy to use them again!
I was doing some maintenance around the garage when I noticed my garage door springs were not stretched evenly so I took a picture and drove to Specialty door. They looked at the photo and advised replacement. They walked me thru the measurements I would need and when I came back with the info they sold me the correct springs for the job at a very reasonable price. Thanks again Bob!
I just got my scissor gates from them,I will highly recommend Speciality Door .We as humans all can do mistakes or it can happens. But at any stage if I was not agree or didnt understand, they went out of their way to accommodate me.Bob,Joey,Judy, Aaron and especially Kimberly all were top notch in customer service. Again I thanks Speciality Door Service for their services. One Stop Smoke
Needed panel replacement and repair of the track and guides on a residential garage door. They were quick to respond and came out right away to do temporary repairs so the door opened. Once the panels came in they scheduled the final repair right away. Highly recommend this company for your garage doors.
Great Service, when outhers said no.
I contacted them regarding having 3x10ft custom doors built. They dragged me through a long back and forth, asking me for all sorts of information, pictures, etc., and in the end they sent me an email saying they didnt want to do the job anymore. There was no disagreement or argument; everything was cordial until they just bailed on the job. I asked them for more info regarding why they couldnt do the job, and they just kept responding with vague emails, saying things to the effect of Sorry, good luck finding someone to do the jobUPDATE: The response from the company below is far longer than the all of the cumulative responses I’ve ever gotten from this company. Funny it takes an honest review to get a good explanation of why they dragged me around and then turned me down with little to no explanation. I just wish their response below was as honest as my review. Unfortunately most of that response is false and a clear attempt to save face.
I changed my garage door opening from two seperate single doors to one wide double door entry. I also have a low ceiling in my garage so since I purchased the house, I have had to duck when walking through my garage or else bang my head on the garage door railings (which I had done a couple of times). I had been told this is simply something I had to live with as a result of the low ceiling.Matt, from Specialty Door Service came to install the new wide garage door. He looked at my setup and told me he would do everything possible to give me a few inches more overhead clearance. He worked diligently on the installation of the door for several hours without taking a break. He told me while he was working that this had to look like what he would want for his own home and he was determined to get it there. Matt is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and expert at what he does. Not only was the installation done excellently but he gave me the overhead clearance in the garage that he promised to focus on. I no longer have to duck walking through my garage. Furthermore, Matt left my garage area spotless after he finished. He swept up all debris, took away pieces of wood and plastic that were left behind after the door opening had been completed. He also changed the batteries on our garage door openers and ensured I was completely satisfied before he left.I am very impressed with Matt and Specialty Door Service. I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.
The cable slipped off the drum of our unusual high-lift (commercial) door. Several local garage door services refused to look at anything except ordinary residential doors. Josh came out the same day and had it completely fixed in an hour. Specialty was upfront about costs ($49 to come out, then $89/hr). For this specialized repair, I was pleased to receive this excellent service.
We had a great experience with Specialty Door Service! The front door to our shop is an old, solid wood, 4 panel accordion door on a track. It has been creaking and groaning for years like its going to die any moment. After a couple hours, Chris and his assistant had the door in top notch shape. It now slides open/shut without a peep. Honestly, this door has never functioned this well. Its like a new door! They were polite, worked continuously, and cleaned up. I highly recommend Specialty Door.
Specialty Door Services company deserves more than 5 star. Our garage door spring broke and both cars were trapped inside. We called and they were out within an hour. They were polite, professional and understanding. We called back again later and asked about putting light bulbs which they did at no charge. Josh helped us this time and was very kind and helpful. I totally recommend them.
Just had Specialty Door come out to my place in North Kirkland. Chris was on time, super friendly and fixed the worlds loudest 5 year-old garage door (seriously- sounded like a T-Rex!) in less than an hour. Price was very reasonable for the trip and service provided. My only regret is not getting that thing fixed sooner- if I had known it was going to be this painless, I would have called on day 1. Thanks Chris/Specialty Door...Ill definitely be spreading the news.
Worked with these guys for years. Their service and professionalism is all you could ask for. I had one extra concern and their office staff was as friendly and helpful as the guy they sent out. Thanks for the great work!
At my old job these guys handled all of our shops metal doors...the maintenance and repairs and stuff. They had some really nice people, and knew their stuff. Im having them out for my home garage door later this week. Their staff was still really friendly on the phone. Look forward to seeing them again (made me remember that I forgot to write a review when they did the doors at that business---whoops!).
A sales rep from Specialty Door Service stopped by our office and left a flier with discounted rates on door repairs. Shortly thereafter, a spring on our warehouse garage door broke and we called this company. They sent a technician out to do a temporary repair and let us know what it would take to fix it. He could not do the repair due to the size of the door and the fact that he could not do it alone, and also informed me that the repair alone would take 3-4 hours. He showed me a way to temporarily hold the door open (clamping it) if we needed to and told me theyd order the replacement springs which would be in the following week and theyd call for install. He knew we needed this done ASAP. They invoiced us for a Call out charge and a Service call ($177.65) and noted a Quote would follow for replacement. They never followed up with that quote or called us, so we called them only to find out that theyd never ordered our springs but would be happy to send over the quote for signature and at that time theyd place the order. Understandably we were unhappy. After going back and forth, Sierra apologized for their error and said shed speak to their office manager to see what they could do for us. She called back and said they could have the springs in early the following week and could be out the next day for installation. She also told me they discount the entire invoice by 20% for the inconvenience. She confirmed the 20% would be in addition to the discounts they were already offering on the flier. We were shocked to get their quote for over $2200 which included 12 hours of labor (2 techs for 6 hours each, including an hour of travel for each). Since the repair, which involved removing the spring, welding it back together then reinstalling it, would take 3-4 hours and seemed more involved than the replacement alone, I asked why they were quoting us for 6 hours? Again, we went back and forth and they agreed to do the install on a T&M basis, only charging us for the actual time it took. I was satisfied with that and reminded them of the 20% discount which was not listed on the Quote that Sierra sent over. Felicia informed me that they would not give us the 20% discount on the labor, only the parts because I was already getting a discounted labor rate per the flier (note: the flier also states a 24% discount on needed parts). I told her that wasnt what Sierra offered and after checking with their office manager, she confirmed that they wouldnt honor what Sierra had offered us. So disappointing! I would definitely NOT recommend this company.
I am not surprised that these guys were highly recommended by friends and business folks. I have used them for both business and home garage door issues (and even a gate in one case). I havent dealt with many other companies, but I cant imagine the service being better or more affordable. Thank you to the polite office staff especially---Im not always an easy one to deal with--hahah. I will be recommending them on.
I was in a real pinch because my garage door was broken and I had to leave town. I was afraid of leaving my house so vulnerable to a break-in (it was stuck). This company and their service guy saved the day. They were able to make it out the same day so that I didnt have to adjust my trip. We had to get a new garage door opener device installed, which works better than the old one anyhow, and they offered to replace the rollers ---now its much quieter too. Thanks for the great service. We will call again.
1. Doors a purchased from a 3rd party company. With poor quality. 1st door was having problems in less than a year and cost us another 500 before it was even 2yrs old. 2nd door came mis-manufactued and we had to wait a month for the replacement after already waiting a month for that one.2. Customer service on the phone is embarrassing, lots of excuses with no resolutions. Although techs were nice. Thanks Chris for fixing an already deplorable situation.3. Do not stand behind their product, blame the manufacturer without any personal responsibility.4. Specialty Door ServiceThere is nothing Special about their doors.Their customer Service was basically nonexistant. That leaves doors, which they buy from a 3rdparty.In summary i would suggest taking your business elsewhere and save a headache. Door may work good at first but if you have any problems after the first 90 days (service warranty) i hope you have deep pockets!
Amateur hour and unprofessional. I called them on a Wednesday to setup a box truck door repair. They said that somebody would call back to setup everything up. Never got a call back. Called them again on Thursday and the guy i spoke to gave me an option of bringing it to the shop or when they are in my area theyll stop by and check it out. I said Im good waiting til the are in my area. I asked when they would be in my area they said the latest would be tuesday. ok cool. Tuesday rolls around no call no show. I call them on Wednesday to ask whats up? The lady said theyll have someone call me to give me answers. Guess what no callback. If its truck door repair you need call Heiserbody they are professional.
They were very professional, but also very friendly. I love their service and will call on them at some point for a brand new garage door.
Dont believe the 5 star reviews very dishonest with our dealing with them
Specialty Door Service sent their tech Brandon out. He definitely went above and beyond to get us going again. We had a stuck door for a busy detail department. He was able to get it work again really quickly and in a tight space. We highly recommend this company. Running a business with five garage doors, we have needed them several times. Each visit has been pleasant, and drama free. With good value. Thanks Brandon!
