Used Bekins for a local move with a slightly complicated destination move (included hoisting items up and over a balcony!). The team was great from start to finish. We got a full quote for packing + moving and also just for moving. I let them know we would be trying to move a lot of things ourselves. And Curt was totally fine with that and gave me all the information I needed. Really appreciated not being pressured or up-sold.Day before/ Day of- team was on time for packing and for moving. Do NOT use Bekins movers.My family moved from Seattle to Irvine this Spring. We stored our furniture in their warehouse for nearly 4 months while we looked for a house here.When they unloaded at our new house they had their appliance hook up guy reconnected the washer and dryer. When we turned on our dryer it made a grinding sound that it had never done before. We also found other items damaged, in particular one or a kind glass and metal artwork as well as two carved buddha statues. Luckily the metal and glass works the artist said they would repair for free. Not as lucky with the buddha statues. Towards the end of the move in we realized there were many things still missing. Turns out they missed loading an entire container of our stuff on the truck. They said it would take maybe a month to get it to us. It was all full of stuff we needed to put beds and desks together.For the artwork and the dryer, we were assured we could file a claim for any of the damages. When filed the claim it all came back as denied. They denied the dryer damages but used a complicated word-salad excuse that I still cannot make sense of. As for the artwork, they claimed that because they didnt pack it, they wouldnt cover it. Problem is, NOBODY said that to me when they were packing and loading our other stuff.Dont trust Bekins. Youd think that by going with a big name national mover that youd avoid the scammy movers you hear about. Well its not true. They sell a good game and during the move on the phone they sound like they are trying to take care of you.But rest assured, when things go wrong. They are same scammy movers you would expect. They got your money already by the time you file you claim so what do they care. Save yourself the money and hassle and choose another like Allied or Mayfair.

Efrain, Tim, and Phil did such a fantastic job! They were exactly on-time and worked very quickly and efficiently. They took excellent care of all of our stuff and NOTHING was damaged. With a team like Efrain, Tim, and Phil I can recommend Bekins to anyone and everyone with an upcoming move. They were great from start to finish!

I scheduled an in person estimate with Jon for a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately he arrived 30 minutes late. Once he arrived he was friendly and professional and told me that I would receive an emailed estimate by end of day Monday. However I did not receive it. I will likely be using another moving service with more respect for their customers time.

I was all set to move out of state late-March and selected Bekins NW after getting quotes from 3 different companies. Covid-19 really hit at the same time and my move was postponed indefinitely. The team from the Mountlake Terrace office -Jon, Shirl and Efran- went above and beyond to be flexible and accommodate my shifting plans. With a week’s notice they changed my intrastate move to a local storage + local delivery 60 days later. I was so grateful for their help and the packing/ move/ delivery went off without a hitch. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and now recommend them to everyone as I was so impressed with their service!

We hired Bekins last minute after an unpleasant experience with another moving company. We were only 5 days from our move and realized we needed a new company, and Bekins stepped up to the plate in a huge way. Right from the very first phone call, I knew that we were in the best hands possible. Stephanie assured us that she would make sure everything was taken care of and that no matter what, our move would be smooth. Jon, who came to do our estimate, was unbelievably kind, professional, and thorough. This was our first time using movers, and Jon explained every detail to us. He was very reassuring and committed to working within our timeline. On moving day, the entire crew were beyond fantastic. Mark, Ty, Robert, and Justin loaded our belongings quickly and carefully. They made the entire process look easy (which it certainly isnt). I was apprehensive about moving long distance after reading the many moving horror stories out there. I interviewed 3 companies and decided on Bekins NW. Jon, the in home estimator was helpful and put me at ease right away. Shirl the coordinator was the best and walked me through the process with kindness and humor. My February move from Seattle to San Diego was complicated by snowy weather, so I decided at the last minute to ship my car & fly rather than drive. Without missing a beat, they arranged for a reasonably priced vehicle transport. My car arrived damage free in only three days. Aaron the moving van driver was efficient, fast, and very professional. What could have been a nightmare move turned out to be great. I highly recommend this team.

Very impressed with all aspects of our move. We had Bekins pack our more fragile items and everything in the kitchen and they did a great job. The teams that loaded everything into and out of the moving van were polite, quick, careful with all of our items and well organized. I was particularly impressed with the skill and care they demonstrated in moving our heavier items, especially those that were upstairs. I recently moved from Seattle area to the southwest, a big move for me. Ive only used hired hands to move across town or moved myself. So this was a much bigger and complex scenario. I had already moved my things into a storage unit but was already out of state. I called Bekins and from the very first phone conversation I was impressed with their friendliness and professionalism. They helped me every step of the way and kept things as simple as possible. Its stressful enough and they keep a nice balance of communication. I really appreciated how friendly Amy was every time I called. She never made me feel as crazy as I felt. When the men arrived to deliver my belongings, they were exactly on time and efficient. My move was not a planned one and I only had 2 weeks to pull it off.Amy was very helpful in that she responded quickly to my emails after our initial contact. My work schedule has always been very tight, but fortunately I had one day when I could be home early enough for the relocation consultant (Jonathan) to come by for the estimate before my anticipated move-out date. I emailed Amy the same day to set up the (earlier than planned) consult and she was able to get back to me in less than an hour to confirm that Jonathan will be able to meet with me that day. Jonathan was pleasant and provided me the estimate in writing before he left.The day of the move Clint, Efrain and Jeff showed up right on time (8am) as Amy had informed me the day before. They were very careful with all my items, and I was very impressed with how well they packed my furniture with glass. They were polite, friendly and most importantly, efficient. When we got to the new place, Clint asked me where I wanted specific items to be placed and followed through with my instructions. Jonathans estimate was accurate. The movers were very hard-working and careful with all my belongings.I feel that my money was well-spent with the exceptional service I received! Pulling off a surprise move is definitely a feat - but these folks worked with me to make it happen. I highly reccommend their services!

Bekins was outstanding from start to finish! Our estimator was professional and thorough as well as clear about the parameters of the estimate. I liked that it was a binding estimate and he aimed high for no surprises. Michael, our move captain, was super prompt, thorough, and just a really good guy. We enjoyed having Bekins! A crew of 3 arrived and wrapped and loaded our furniture. They did a good job of inventorying, labeling and inspecting the items. We had a 100 year old parlor grand piano that we were giving away to a new home (it was within a mile of our house), so they loaded it last. They had to take it apart, wrap it, load it (not easy with a cast iron sounding board!), deliver it, get it up 5 steps, and reassemble it. They were wonderful!

People here are super! They even have a great sense of humor too! Some of the docks at this address may be a bit tight for full size tractors, daycabs should have no problem. Not sure if they allow over night parking (didnt read all the reviews), but they havent chased me off while taking my 2hr break...yet. Lol!

Ive always had a bad experience with moving, and was pleasantly surprised that the Bekins experience was not like this! This was an interstate move, and from the movers at origin/destination, to the driver, to the coordinator - it was professional, friendly, helpful, efficient, and cheerful from start to end! When I finally moved my family moved my family to the area Danna Sellie was a great help on getting my household goods to my new house in a short period of time. I gave them a noticed on Tuesday and my things were delivered on Friday. the crew was nice and courteous. Will definitely work with Bekins again.

When Jim came by my house he seemed very friendly, helpful, and interested in moving our furniture. As he was leaving, he informed me that he would be emailing us an estimate that evening. It was about 5 days later that I called his cell phone number a left a message inquiring about our estimate. He never returned my call, which was over 1 week ago.My advise to you is do NOT even waste your time with this company.

So far, so good. Really helpful staff, GREAT DOG, move is set in a week. We shall see how the whole process & move goes.

I was recommended Bekins Northwest to move some large lab equipment from San Francisco to Seattle. They were always very prompt and thorough with their communication. Delivery went smoothly and all equipment was undamaged. It was a good experience and I would use them again.

I worked with Josh Cornutt in Seattle for a move to the Bay Area, and I have to say, it couldnt have gone smoother. Josh was patient, helpful, quick to respond, and easy to talk to. His team was top notch and, while Im still unpacking, it looks like nothing broke! His guys packed me up, moved me down (days faster than estimated), and now its up to me to finish up. But they did their job, and they did it well. I would use them again without hesitation and will tell friends and family about using Accountable for a local or long distance move. The movers and moving team in the office were well worth the money. Made our life so much easier. Everything arrived undamaged as well. The only problem we had was with their subcontractor that set up and took down the washer and dryer. They did not complete their reinstall on the day they were to do it. Now we have to wait 4 more days for our supposed install. Crossing my fingers on that one.

Due to labor my pack and load was delayed 1 day, but it got done on time. There were extra charges for more labor at $38./hr for 2 hrs & $41.55/hr for 2 hrs and I still dont have an explanation for those. Bekins has always done a good job for me, as Ive used them many times, so Im hoping this time goes just as good.

Only item for improvement - would have been easier for me to know from Bekins a bit earlier and a bit more firmly than I did at least when they would know my solid move out day would be, but all else, (timely on appts, estimate clear, front office friendly, packing and moving crews friendly, helpful, and efficient) was excellent and would use them again. And they beat the other two national moving company estimates I had.

Bekins Northwest made my move from Bellingham to Poulsbo so easy and stress free. I had two drop off locations and they had no problem accommodating that for me. All the movers were extremely nice and friendly, and they handled all of my items carefully. They even put plastic on the carpet to make sure it stayed clean! They were also very fast - they got everything out of my apartment in under an hour. When I move again, Bekins will be the only place I call!

Earlier manager Jim did house tour and gave me a quote... near to delivery date, when I tried to contact, I got to know he left the job... though Julie helped me and pickup happened on earlier planned date. The packers from California were very professional, and did quality packing. They were very kind and considerate.The driver and movers from both California and Washington crews were very hard working. Very effecient, and careful with our wood floors in both houses.

Bekins Northwest made my cross-country move SO easy. The video survey of my house (pre-move) was way more convenient than trying to coordinate schedules with someone to physically come to my home. The Bekins employees were easy to communicate with and responded to me within 24 hours each time I reached out. Finally, my stuff was delivered on the second day of the 9-day estimated delivery timeframe - quick and in tact. After hearing the horror stories that my peers had after using other companies for their move, I will be using Bekins exclusively from now on.

This was the company that packed up my belongings for a PCS move to Hawaii. I have to say that I am wonderfully impressed with how my items arrived. Nothing was lost and only minor scratches that could have just been something easily caused myself and not noticed. I really appreciated that every box was carefully taped along the seams and edges. This prevented ALL of my belongings from becoming infested with cockroaches either on the trip over or while everything sat in storage for over 6 months! Thank you sssooo much, and please let your people know that it really took the stress out of a huge move once I realized all my things where ok!

Received a quote today from this company (specifically Jon Warner) to move a 10 x 10 storage unit 100 miles - $3100. I laughed when I opened the quote, but replied in a very cordial manner. I said that $3100 to move a 10 x 10 storage unit was insanity and that we had gotten a quote for much less ($1000) that we were going to go with and thanked him for his time. He responded in a very rude and unprofessional manner, I was really taken off guard. Will be passing on my experience with Bekins corporate and his superiors. Based on this experience, I dont know how or why one could trust their belongings to this company. We wont be even attempting to use them for any future needs and I will be sure to pass my experience along to others as well.

I recently moved my elderly parents from the Seattle area to Texas. Quite the move! We started by doing the absolute wrong thing. We only got one quote from a moving company. That would be Bekins, of course. How this came about is they were the first ones we called. Mom and Dad were familiar with the company and our real estate agent also recommended them. I decided to just go with a gut feeling. I know that sounds dumb but I wanted to make this as simple as possible for my parents and having 3 companies come in giving us quotes and then making an informed decision after gathering all the data would have been just another gigantic decision. They were already stressed to the max. Jim Dessin from Bekins arrived and walked us through the process. He was professional, friendly, and courteous. We three decided we would go with Bekins. Then I looked online at the reviews. Very scary! I sort of freaked out after having read some of the reviews on Bekins. I so wanted things to go smoothly for my parents. But then I calmed down. Hey, most folks are more ready to tell all about their horror story rather than when things go well, right? This is the first review I have ever written for ANYTHING. And I have gray hair. So everything went great! Brandon, our truck driver was super. We talked several times on our cell phones as we both drove to Texas. Everything arrived in fine shape. We were actually anticipating a few mishaps but we have done to report. Our packers, Christine, Nacho, and Robby, were so respectful with my folks. Thanks, guys. Truly everyone we worked with did a fine job. Phew. We did it. Sold a house and bought a house and moved my parents who are in their upper 80s to Texas. Bekins was a big part of this journey and they did a wonderful job.

The packers came and spent three times longer than it should have taken, were very loud, yelling rude remarks to each other. I was very uncomfortable. One mover stood around complaining about his ex-wife. Another stayed on the phone most of the time talking to his girlfriend. This was a two part move from Seattle to Edmonds and then some stuff to Vancouver BC. The driver got lost in Edmonds and then stuck in a cal-de-sac and couldnt get the truck out. For two hours he was stuck and charged me for that time. They finally showed up around 11:30 PM, again, loud and rowdy. Our new neighbors did not have a very good impression of me moving into the neighborhood waking them all up with loud yelling men. The delivery to Vancouver was a joke. Only one person to unload and move furniture? Had to spend an hour to sign papers at the border because they didnt have their papers done right because only one person had the credentials to drive the rented non-marked truck over the border then had to wait hours for someone else to show up to help move because the driver couldnt help. My furniture was broken, scratched, dented, finish rubbed off down to the bare wood in some cases. My curio cabinet couldnt fit into the elevator so it was shipped back to Seattle to be redelivered to my apartment. Six months later, they finally delivered it broken glass, cracks and dents and their warehouse manager spray painted this Howard Miller piece with cheap silver spray paint, drips and brush marks...looks horrible. They basically committed insurance fraud because I bought the best insurance and they didnt want to have to pay their part of the deductible and now they have involved Wheaton World Wide Moving out of Indiana to handle my claim as a Bekins mover. Wheaton had NOTHING to do with the move at all. I think Accountable was moving me under Bekins for the international move but didnt really have the credentials to do so....hmmm. sounds like more fraud to me.Yea....would never use them again. I called to talk to John, the owner, as his nephew, Brice, the driver of the international move, said he would make it right but when I talked to John, he basically blew me off and said they were too busy to talk to me and to send an email, which I did and have only received responses from Wheaton denying my claim.guess well be going to court....ha ha
