Whimsies is one of the absolute best childrens stores Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. I remember my first visit to Whimsies how comfortable I felt in the store and how knowledgeable the staff was about all of the exceptional items. From apparel that is fun and affordable to the science kits and other multitude of toys and games, they have the highest quality and selection of any store in Charlottesville. I had the pleasure in 2019 of being their neighbor for a pop up shop, and I couldnt have been any luckier. The owners and staff are exceptional people who also give back to the community. They always had a solution readily available for any of our needs and challenges. Cant go wrong at Whimsies!

Ive been shopping at Whimsies for years. My daughter is tall for her age and it can be very hard to find age and size appropriate clothing. I never have that problem at Whimsies. The toy selection is great. The only thing I would like to see them add is a registry for birthday gifts. It would be so nice to be able to send people locally and they can pick what they want.

Whimsies is an adorable children’s boutique with unique clothing and toy options. I have purchased adorable boys clothes for my son and cute birthday gifts for friends. I would recommend Whimsies to everyone! The staff is more than willing to help meet your needs.

I’ve been a local of Charlottesville for 40 years. My children love the unique toys, clothing and gifts this store has to offer. The staff is fantastic and also have supported our non-profit that helps children with cancer.. you can’t go wrong with this store.

Loved this place when my son was a baby and through 6 years old and now I have a reason to go back in now that my friends are having grandbabies!! None yet for me but I cant wait!!!

This store had at least six different types of baby dolls... all of them white. The limited diversity is a complete turn off. I will never purchase any items from a store that is so blatantly limited in the customers they choose to serve.

From the helpful staff and great selection to the convenient store hours, we have always had wonderful experiences at Whimsies. They offer a wide variety of toys and clothing styles that appeal to both parent and child. We were in last week on the hunt for rainboots for my 20 month old son. While we browsed, my 5 year old and 20 month old took full advantage of the Mad Matter tester(and maybe scattered some about the store). We found the perfect boots as well as a cute outfit for my daughter and all were reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive and also assured me not to worry about the trail of Mad Matter my children left behind. So happy to support this local business and the wonderful people who run it.

I went in specifically to look at ugg boots for my daughter because their website said they had them. Turned out they hadn’t carried them “in the last 8 years”

Not much just clothes and toys. We were looking My wife and I came looking for organic toys but were disappointed. The people in the store seemed not to care about assisting us. I would not recommend this store
