I was transported back to the 50’s. I enjoyed the old fashion atmosphere even the music made me think 5O’s. They will accept credit cards but will add 40 percent charge. So best to use cash. Their prices are very reasonable. I had the Red Cafe special. Hamburger and fries. Fries were golden brown and thick. The way I like them. I wish they had put onion on my hamburger but it was still very good. My husband ordered number One breakfast. The bacon had lots of flavor. He had me taste it. Glad we stopped here.

Only open until 2pm so get there early. Pretty good hamburgers, prices are great. They serve other items but havent tried yet.

I have been coming here my whole life and just recently got to come back after not living in the area for a long time, and it was still the same as its been and thats awesome with friendly smiling staff who are attentive and courteous with great food at reasonable prices for those like me who dont have much...as well as being, at the same time, a place where the local wealthy enjoy themselves too as its holds a good reputation amongst more than a few that I have visited and traveled with...thank you for the memories so far and its admirable in my opinion in this area to be in operation for so long....I hope to return.... thanks again for your services and friendliness.... much love and peace and respect

I read the reviews and we ate there cuz it was a 4 out of 5! The food was good and the service was good as well! She was very attentive and responsive. And she had a great smile! The place is busy and you need a little patience when you go in! Typical diner food, great prices and worth the time!!

Red Apple is a nice little spot. We arent from this town. We came here for a job we did, and had to use Google to find a nearby place to eat. I had an omlet with hash browns and toast. The food was good and the waitress was nice. I recommend stopping if youre in the area.

Been going to the red apple since I was just a baby. As always, its affordable, delicious and well staffed. I went here for the first time in years with a friend today and it was wonderful. I highly recommend their steak and eggs.

My husband is an avid hiker belonging to a club called Volksmarchers Red Apple is the start point. After checking in he surprised me with a treat - the best rhubarb pie I have ever eaten that wasn’t made in my own kitchen.

Friendly place, good food. It has a high level of small town hospitality. The kind of place where the local law enforcement gets a warm hello, even the sheriff cant get by sitting at a table used by the local coffee groups, and the coffee keeps coming.The hot beef was a great throwback to my high school job at the local diner.

Might be biased because I was born in Mahnomen, but I remember it being better. Service wasnt all that good. Took forever to get the tab taken care of at the end of the meal. Maybe short staffed?

Dirty and uninviting atmosphere. They were serving an all you can eat buffet but everything looked like it had sat for hours. Opted for the menu options...I will go to the casino next time Im in town.

Hands down the worst food ive had. Im sorry i normally dont complain but this was bad. The staff however were very friendly.the chicken strips were goid. Fries soggy, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy inedible. My mom and dad choked down 1/2 of it before i tasted it and i couldnt do 1 bite. My mom and dad are way too polite.
