I love getting the milk buckets and the food I’ve had has always been good. I would love to give 5 stars, but the worker who was giving me my milk bucket picked a straw up without gloves and handed it to me. I just wish they had to wear gloves or hand it to customers w a napkin when it comes to handing out unwrapped straws. Was a Little disappointed on this one, not gonna lie.

My GM at work bought me a Chili cheese dog from there tonight, he was going to Monday, raving about it, but closed on Mondays, so he did tonight. HANDS down the best Chili Cheese dog I’ve ever had!!!! My son and I were driving thru downtown just this past weekend and I mentioned how we had never tried The Barking Cow and how we have such a nice downtown for the city’s size. My entire family loves Chili Cheese dogs, we will def be making our first visit soon! My Pops owned a jewelry store in Marion for yrs so we’re all about supporting small local business owners! Hate to say this but I was very disappointed. The classic hotdogs were cold...not cold as in cooled off during the delivery but cold as in assembled right from the cooler bun included. The dog was just as it was taken from the package. Maybe I misunderstood. Maybe the delivery is meant to arrive cold and you warm it when you are ready. Not a fan. Really hoped I was going to be.

Amazing food and even greater ice cream and service! 😋😄 I always enjoy getting a walking taco and a pint or two to take back home. 😄

This is a locally owned place. This has a pretty good size selection to decide from. The flavors are pretty wide range from the regular chocolate to cappuccino and other seasonal. The restaurant is a window serve style with pretty typical diner style food and sandwiches which taste pretty food. They are certainly worth a visit.

I can only review the ice cream. I havent tried the food. The variety of hard dipped is excellent. They have all of the classics and plenty of extras; Rush Hour coffee+ espresso beans is delicious if you like the coffee flavors. Im a big fan of Dole Whip, and they have always had a good selection. The service has consistently been quick and friendly and they are continually wiping things down behind the counter. Seating layout is kinda funky, but often is in historic downtown buildings (of which Im a big fan).

The service was great and the food is awesome! Very friendly and even suggested my meal. The portions are great and the icecream flavors are so unique!! We all loved our food and the prices are great, too. Loved the look of everything and good location, too.

Some of the best ice cream in Muncie. Their flavors are great and the prices are too. They also just expanded the front of the store which makes the experience even better. Something note, you can get some of if not all the same flavors at Boulder Falls located next to he Put Put golf

I absolutely love The Barking Cow. The ice cream is always delicious and milkshakes are fabulous as well. Heck everything is great here. The staff is super nice and helpful. I absolutely love the laid back atmosphere. We come at least a few times a month. It’s nice and clean also, super clean. It’s a great place to eat and hang out.

My family loves the ice cream here and the staff are always friendly. Beware, Ive had 3 different slushies from here and none of the flavors tasted right. Their loaded baked potatoes are HUGE and SO good. Theyre not just an ice cream store, make a meal of it!

As I am willfully ignorant towards my lactose intolerance, I of course had severe diarrheas after having a vanilla waffle cone, but I would 100% do it all over again.

Service was fast and friendly. The decor was nice and they have shirts available for purchase. I love strawberry short cake and the cake in this is great! The ice cream was hard but soft. Perfection in a red bowl.

I love the array of flavors that The Barking Cow offers. Their staff are patient and allow you to sample flavors. The atmosphere inside is definitely worth a visit to the shop. My favorite flavors are Mrs. Wicks sugar pecan pie and carrot cake. They also offer nondairy soft serve.

We tried the non-dairy Strawberry/Pineapple twist soft serve ice cream and it was delicious! I love that they have options for everyone. I highly recommend, plus their prices are great 👍

This place is very unprofessional. We traveled 45 minutes and they were closed even though their hours say 11am-9pm. And they did not pick up their phone when called. This is very disheartening as a customer. Do NOT come here! If I could give 0 stars I would.

We recently tried to get ice cream at 7:30 and were told they close at 7:00 when it says online they are open until 9. My kids were very disappointed.

I was here for the first time today, in December 2019, and my family and I are in love with this place! Its very clean, the food is tasty and was served pretty fast (maybe 5-7 minutes of waiting). Im sure Ill come back again and will suggest this place to all my friends. 5 stars!

Second review, and I still love coming here after work for some ice cream. Today, I ordered some of their homemade Great Pumpkin ice cream; for the first time, in one of their waffle cones. The ice cream was delicious as usual, but I was a bit surprised when I realized that their waffle cones were packaged and purchased, which was evident in the flavor and texture. They still deserve the 5-stars, but would earn 6 in my heart if they began making the waffle cones in house.

Good prices. Place was clean and customer service was prompt and polite. Nice open atmosphere. Plenty of natural light. My kids enjoyed the ambience.

I waited patiently for my order. You were not busy, but after having to have my shake redone(gal was not told it was a malted) and then have to have my meal transferred to to go, as I asked, I had spent half a hour of my lunch hour. The shop just seems a little disorganized. I also had to wait for two other people to show checkout how to do gift cards.

If you are looking for presentation...this bowl of ice cream is not it...but if is lactose free strawberry ice cream..this is your place. And a bunch of other weird named hand dipped ice creams. Onky a couple soft serve flavors...So far its an just another ice cream place that serves food. The first time I went, it had cute spoons that I thought may be a signature thing but this time they were plain black spoons wrapped in plastic... the hot dog buns are not steamed... I wish they were. Onions are coarse..and maybe should have fine cut for differnt items. You order ice cream at the ice cream counter and then food when you check out...and then the food is left in a window...for you to pick up... has been my experience the two times having food there.I would love to see a chocolate dipped cone/waffle cone... or soft serve that looks a little different... the line backs up really quick when you have people ordering food and ordering ice cream... great addition to downtown Muncie... staff is very nice.

Fun place to go. Downtown parking is normally terrible but there was plenty when we went. Lots of ice cream flavors and food selections. The slushies are made with a generic slushie mixed with snow cone like flavoring. The one I got could have used more flavor as it didnt taste like creamsicle, just bland mix. I would recommend a visit if you an ice cream fan, which I am.
