Very helpful staff...good selection...take insurance.

They were very informative and helpful here. They werw honest with their opinions about my glasses and what frames fit my face better. Very polite. I will definitely be back.

I went in with my insurance which covered 100% of the exam and a choice of a few frames. When we were finishing up they told me I owed $30 and I had been told and agreed to that. I said no, I would never agree to that. They said it was for a refraction. I had to look that up. It’s basically the exam to get your prescription. So ordered the glasses, which they didn’t want to so until I paid the $30. After alot of back and forth and they had to call someone. They finally ordered them. I called my insurance and they said there should have been no charge and not to pay it. So I went to pick up my glasses and, again, they told me I had to pay $30. I told them to take it up with the insurance because they told me not to pay anything. They told me I couldn’t take the glasses without paying it. Well, the glasses were on my face, so after the 2nd time being treated like that I stood up and said, you you know what, take it up with the insurance. The girl followed me to my car yelling you’re stealing you can’t take the glasses. We are going to turn this in to collections. By this time I was in my car so I just left. Now I Jax st want a copy of my prescription and they refuse to give it to me.Update: insurance called again and said my grievance has been reviewed and I, in no way ahould pay them anything.Absolutely awful people. A stress I did not have to deal with. Period. Now I want an apology and a copy of my prescription before the insurance assists me in taking further action.You notice they only respond to the good reviews. Seems to be a pattern of attempting to rip you off..

The Accuvision Mundelein office was so welcoming and professional. I was greeted when I entered the office by the friendly staff and the service was top notch. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment & was immediately greeted & taken care of. Spent around an hour there. The staff & environment there are wonderful & I would greatly encourage people to stop in at this facility.

I stopped by this location hoping they would have the frames my insurance covered. Mary showed me what was available. They did not have the latest available frames, but I tried on what was there. I placed an order but 20 minutes later called to cancel since it just wasnt what I wanted. That was all fine. However, my refusal to buy any of the up-sells for coatings or high index lens left Mary exasperated. She warned I would get headaches. I felt she was not happy. This made me feel bad. Not the experience I was looking for. Oh well, someplace else will have what I want. Mary also wanted to charge me for the PD. I dont really need it since I have it from prior prescriptions...but really, I thought they had to give you that as part of the prescription.

Made an appointment for contact fitting and the doc saw me right away. They were also able to give me a discount more than my insurance was. This is why I keep coming back!

Only problem with them is when you tell them you want glasses that will be fully covered by your insurance they come up with million of excuses on how much your insurance only covers and how you have to pay the difference. They have glasses in the back that your insurance FULLY COVERS and all you would have to pay for is for extra stuff that you want added but once you pick out what you want from the back room they start making you feel bad about your choices, its like they want you to purchase glasses and not go by what your insurance really covers!!!!!

Initial appointment with doctor and staff at the Mundelein branch was wonderful. They mentioned it would take about 3 weeks because of the holidays. Fast forward 3 weeks later I call to find out status of my glasses only to find out they were ready 2 weeks ago! Why did no one leave a voicemail message or call a week later to try again?! After speaking with manager, no apologies, only excuses at how busy they have been. Ok, well let me help you be a little less busy so you can appropriately take care of the customers you DO have and I will no longer be a customer of yours. First time and last time with AccuVISION. Give me Lens Crafters any day. More expensive but WAY BETTER customer service and you get your glasses same day. Bye AccuVISION.
