I recently got to hear a Gallagher guitar. It produced a wonderful tone that was so pleasant in its varied subtleties. Wow... who knew? Loved it.

44 years I have known the Gallaghers. I had my first dealings with 3rd generation owner. It was not good. There are many luthiers out there now making guitars and some better than the Gallaghers and may be better tempered owners. I recommend shopping around.

I have a very much loved and played Martin HD 35. I drove a ways away to try a Gallagher Doc Watson standard guitar. I have played many guitars in my 35 years of playing. I was so happy with the sound, the ringing sustain, the build quality, the neck, the balance, I had to own this guitar. It is my favorite by far ! If you are looking for that very special sound, buy a Gallagher.

I have a 1981 Doc Watson Model Guitar that I dearly love. Have had many compliments on it. Was offered by a gentleman to trade me a new HD 28 Martin for it. I declined. I also own a 2009 custom guitar built by the Gallaghers that is the Celtic model it is absolutely beautiful plays great and has a tremendous tone. The Gallaghers have treated me very well when I go to their shop. They have made a couple of adjustments for me did some work for me at no charge. Sincerely Jerry Robinson, Mexico Missouri.

I love my Gallagher Doc Watson (#3709) guitar

Im a fingerstyle guitarist who usually plays high end Taylors or vintage Alvarez-Yairis. A friend handed me a Gallagher Doc Watson signature guitar and it amazed me. Im not going to get rid of my other guitars but my Gallagher (yes, its mine now), rings like a bell and has such a sweet, powerful sound across the range that it is rapidly becoming a favorite. Ive gone down and visited the shop a few times and they couldnt be friendlier if they tried. They really care about their work and their customers. Im saving for my second Gallagher right now.
