I purchased a battery from advance auto parts in Springfield VT in September 2019. Shortly after moving to the area on September 3, 2021, my vehicle wouldnt start. My vehicle was towed to a repair shop who replaced the battery because it wouldnt hold a charge- it was totally drained. I took the dead advance auto parts battery to the closest Advance Auto Store, which was this one in Murphy NC, to see what could be done to honor the warranty. The representative at the store asked if Id purchased the battery at his store and I told him the store in VT where Id purchased it. He asked if I had my receipt and I explained that we had literally just moved and all my belongings and documents were on a moving van. He said he couldnt do ANYTHING without a receipt, offering this explanation: our stores are not linked!IM SORRY- WHAT? Advance Auto Parts had revenue of $10 BILLION DOLLARS in 2020. If you take only 1% of revenue for IT (Information Technology) thats $100 MILLION PER YEAR in IT investment. Its simply incredulous - as in I dont believe that this multi-billion dollar enterprise has an IT system that doesnt allow one store to track purchase of an item purchased anywhere in their huge network of stores. I wasnt even offered any $$ for the core so I left the dead battery on the counter. The representative asked me: What do you want me to do with this?

Wasnt sure if my part for my Nissan came in but thank God it did didnt spend $150 just for nothing LOL but so happy there are VIN numbers and people who are willing to work! :-)

The guys here are generally very helpful but of course nobody knows everything so Im sure they get stumped from time to time they do try however and thats all I can ask. Thanks guys

If I could give zero stars I would! Was told yesterday when I purchased a item I could return to any store as long as I had receipt, we are up from Florida, the reason I even asked. Went to return the item today because the package gave false information, the headlights were not any brighter than what was already in the truck, was told we could not return because they are headlight bulbs when we were told yesterday we could. I’m complaining because they are $60 bulbs and we were lied to. Take your business elsewhere

I was very disappointed with the service and how they worked things in the Murphy NC Store . I order parts and they were wrong. And then they gave me a refurbished one swearing it was new.( witch I payed for a new one not refurbished) I will not use yall NEVER AGING!!!

I went on the internet and said I needed a clutch kit for a 1997 Dodge Dakota 2.54 cylinder and Advance Auto Parts website came back with a price of 97.79 with a life time replacement and it said it was in store so I went to the local Advance Auto Parts store in town and they gave me a price of 289.00 I showed them the internet price and they said they cant match it . They said I would have to order it online to get that price so I tried to order it on line and they said that clutch kit wont fit my truck. Ah Ha I guess thats what you call the old bate and switch game well I know you big time outfits dont Care if you lose one More customer BUT YOU JUST DID thanks for letting me vent Rod

We ordered 3 batteries online and had them installed within a few hours. The service and price were excellent.

Couldnt get discount online or in store, Johnny the manager is awful and I filed a complaint with corporate.Fuel pump at advance $147.99 and at Rock Auto its $71.99, between their high prices and bad manager, im done shopping here!

Ordered spark plugs was told I would get a call when they came in. Said Okay thinking like a few days to a week.22 days later I went in to see why I didnt receive a phone call.Well not all the plugs were in yet.?really? 22 + days for spark plugs?The staff was nice but come on, at least give a person a heads up that it takes a month to get them in.

The only reason I give 4 and not 5 is due to the long waits. They rarely have more than 2 people working at a time with at least 6+ people waiting, with each person needing atleast 10 minutes each. William is amazing and way too patient and too good of a person to deal with some of the stuff that happens with customers. Other than that, Ive never had an issue with them and they always have in Stock what I need.

Consistent with other Advanced Auto Parts stores. The staff is friendly once you get to talk to them.This store is often a dead zone for phone reception. Im not sure why. Im using Verizon. This may be difficult if you are trying to reference technical data on your mobile device.It would be nice if WiFi was available.

Had what I was looking for...but their prices on their large variety of automotive items/accessories are pretty high. Quite a markup.

I had called to make sure that my order was ready for pickup before driving 45 minutes to pick it up, since it was the only place in 4 counties that had all of the parts that I needed in stock, according to the website. When I arrived, I was told that the main part that I was there to pick up was in fact NOT in stock. Rather than wait another week for a day off to do my repairs, I ended up getting a different brand that has no warranty. Hope it lasts for a little while at least.

They were rude, no one greeted me! When I went to check out, I felt like I was an inconvenience to them! No bag, for item brought. Ill go to OReillys from now on!
