I’ve come to this establishment twice in the last month to purchase ammunition as other locations were completely sold out. They always seem to have what I need. Eve is super knowledgeable and super patient with my numerous questions. I appreciate her kindness and her personable approach. If I had the expendable cash I would have purchased this 8k priced rifle that was on display because she sold the heck out of it. It was a sexy rifle. I will be back. I highly recommend. 5 star experience so far.

I have been here several times in the past 6 years and never really had an issue. A buddy and I both bought some really cool weapons from here and have enjoyed every opportunity we have to shoot here when all you need is a nice 25 yard range. The people are friendly every time I go and helpful if youre there with real intent to do something. Some of the other locations I have had issues at but this one has always been great and helpful as well as understanding of financial obligations and allow payments to buy guns. At least that was my experience!

Ive stopped by just to see what they had.Ill probably re-review another day, but I had a good experience. Its hard for me to give 5 stars these days because there is always something to improve.Ive stopped by when its busy, and yeah its hard to get help, but they are doing their best. They have a lot of responsibility. Running the indoor range, and selling firearms is a big responsibility. Its a small building, and they can get crowded.One really nice thing for me is that theyve had ammo on the shelf every time Ive been there in the last couple months. 2020 has been a tough year with ammo shortages.They have a variety of guns, but they dont have every make and model. I went back to look at a pistol I saw earlier, and it was sold. The displays are always full, but the inventory is always selling, so act when you feel theres something your really want.They are currently hiring as of Dec. 2020.

Solid gun shop. Good selection, very good staff who can really be very helpful. Lots of good pistols to rent on the range. Gun range is even open on Sundays, which is super convenient. Definitely a store to check out to browse or to buy.

I use to go here most staff were nice. One thing I didn’t like was when I wanted to purchase a firearm they always wanted to sell me the one on display. I found another gun store that treats me well.

They have a great selection of guns and awesome inventory but they have very poor manners and act like their better then you and talk down to you. Needless to say I wont be going back. Scheels is much better and still have a great selection

This was only my second gun purchase but because it is the one I plan on conceal carrying it was a very important sale for me. They had A TON of options. I looked at endless amounts of them. The two guys helping me were extremely patient and informative. I didn’t feel rushed like when I go to the big box stores. Will buy all my future guns from here.

My wife came in to get 2 Glocks. They were sold out but the guy took great care of her. Let her shoot some guns so she knew what she wanted. Saved a couple for her on the order and had her come in before they opened so she could get them.I love that they went the extra mile for her so she could get everything she needed instead of taking advantage of her. Especially with things being so busy. You guys are the best!

These guys are great! Ive been a customer of Get Some for many years now and, as a testament to their high level of service, I feel compelled to share that I was on my way to another local dealer yesterday and stopped here to see if I could get the firearm I was looking for closer to home. My concern was that the price was 15% higher than the other place. Out of fairness, the other place was a sale price but still its a significant difference. Get Some naturally checked the advertised price and then matched it with no argument or debate. This is a team that wants lasting relationships with their customers. Great place, great range, great people!

Decent inventory. They could use a few lessons in customer service though. I recommend going to The Armory or TNT shooting range instead. Theyre much more friendly and helpful. Get Some is a great place to go if you like bein talked down to.

I walked in and no one said anything, no one acknowledged my presence, no one asked if they could help me, not even a hello. While checking out the cashier was joking around with a friend who was in the store, didnt even look at me, took forever to ring up 3 boxes of ammo constantly interrupting the transaction to make stupid jokes to his friend seemingly trying to get my girlfriends attention, was really annoying .

Myself and my three buddies decided to come here and shoot some guns before I head to basic training. Upon arrival I was greeted within seconds and escorted back to the range by a very knowledgeable gentleman. I told him what I was looking to do and he promptly got me set up with two ranges, multiple targets, unlimited gun rental 250 rounds of 9mm and 360 rounds of 5.56. This lasted 4 of us for 2.5 hours of pure badassery and only cost the 4 of us $300, TNT was trying to charge me almost $60 bucks for two magazines for an AR and that doesnt include range fees. While stuck waiting on car repairs, we went to lunch and I googled things to do near me. . . . and VOILA!!! An indoor gun range!! Much more exciting than a movie! My husband and I had a ball! What a great way to spend an hour! I had never used an indoor range, it was an experience! Rented guns, bought ammo, they supplied the necessary safety equipment, tips and hints to get us started. Husband found a rifle from his gun bucket list and I found a beautiful selection of handguns so I could feel and hold guns to see what fit my hand, then decide what I liked best. They were helpful and knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed our adventure and the awesome finds! Thanks so much! Well be back!

Great customer service from people that shoot and carry. They took the time to line up the sights on my glock properly today. I told them I was hitting a little off on the target and they gave me tips and possible reasons why. Ive shot there several times and have had nothing but good experiences, but the excellent job they did with my sights exceeded my expectations and puts them as my top guns range and shop

They charged me a for using a lane separate lane when I was sharing one with my buddy. When I asked him to explain why the extra charge he said I was using my own lane the whole time. It was his word against mine and I didn’t feel like making the manager come to get my 6 dollars back.

I took my concealed carry class from these guys. The instructor was fantastic. I think a lot of concealed carry classes don’t cover enough material at all, but it seems that get some guns really made an attempt to be more thorough in their training. I believe they are one of the only places that has you even shoot as part of the course.

Get Some is the closest gun range that we have here in South Salt Lake. Ive been to many gun ranges and gun shops in the past. In addition Ive had many gun shops as clients. I wanted to like Get Some. Their indoor range is cleaner and better organized than other local ranges. Their gun selection isnt stellar, but its okay. Where they really fall short is in their service. It seems no matter how many times I go here, their attitudes generally stink. There is an air of gun superiority that just drives me nuts. They dont like to answer questions and sometimes come across as annoyed. They dont approach the customer with a smile, but with chagrin. Ive spent my entire career in sales. Heres a hint, if you want to sell more products, be a consultant and not a gun snob. If you dont like your job, go work somewhere else? This is not a from a single experience. This is from every visit I make. I have never felt overly welcome here. Its a shame, cause the store has good potential.

I called ahead to ensure they were open, luckily they are.This is the second time I’ve been here. Both times I’ve been basically ignored until I called their attention.This time when I asked to get a lane (and tried to present a Groupon), the guy simply said, “we don’t do Groupon now.” And then was ignored for another few minutes. Get Some Guns has provided me with excellent training, both for a Conceal/Carry permit and Basic Handgun education. I took CCP class from Mike Turner at the Murray location. This class was fun, informative, (required), and well worth my time. I took Basic Handgun from Sarah at the Layton location. This class was also fun and informative. If you are new to guns, this class is for you! It covers everything you need to know to get started on your shooting adventure. Sarah gave me excellent pointers on my stance, helped me over come wrist drop, and took a video so I could see my performance! Sarah even stayed after class and offered me extra instruction on how to disassemble and clean my firearm. Good shooting range with a large choice of guns and ammos.I always bring my foreign relatives there for a true American experience! The staff is nice and patient to teach you how to properly use a gun and inform you about gun safety.The range is about 60 ft. There is a good choice of targets too. Prices are reasonable, too.

I ordered a gun online to be sent to Get Some, the order went very smooth until I had an issue with it and had the gun sent back to the online store. At that point Get Some lost the firearm and tried telling me that UPS lost it even though they signed for it and the new shipping label hadnt been printed yet. I still havent received the compensation from the loss of the firearm I payed for, its now been almost six months and theyve cut comunication with me about my firearm. (They admittedly told me they lost the firearm, after I told them I would call the ATF if the firearm wasnt sent back.)

So, I went here based on reviews and after having a horrible experience elsewhere today. The range itself was nice, and I appreciated having a range officer on hand. The salesman greeted me when I walked in and even directed me to the right place to sign in for the range. I did see a small selection of items, but I wasnt here to rent or buy. I came to shoot and felt OK with their prices. The range price includes a hefty stack of targets as well as all of your protection for no extra charge.The only objectionable part of my visit was the treatment of customers I saw while there. I was waiting to head on into the range, and one of the staff was raising his voice with a man trying to order an nfa item. The man was about to be deployed, but the staff member just seemed a little hot headed and turned us off. Im not too sure that youll be treated well here. Another guy nicely helped someone fill out an application for a concealed course, but I didnt really feel welcomed there.Id still recommend a different place. But, I like this location much more than others as they do provide targets and protection.

The service at Get Some is excellent. I have made several purchases at the Murray location and I really appreciate the knowledgeable and very friendly staff. If you are interested in buying a firearm for self protection and arent sure what to buy go in to the Murray store. They can help narrow some choices down and you can rent/try guns that you are interested in at their range.Due to no fault of Get Some I had an small issue with a recent gun purchase and they bent over backwards to make sure I was happy.

Went to test out pistols with my GF because she wants her Concealed carry. Testing one and it jammed constantly and couldnt rack the slide back (it would get stuck every other round). Went back to hand it over and try out something else. Told one man working here about the malfunctions and he just said Dont limp wrist it. I knew I wasnt and neither was my gf. When we were leaving I saw the same man having trouble with it as well. Dont go here. Even if you are experience with firearms you will be talked down to. The Armory or TNT are much more friendly. (Or The Gun Vault when they find a new location).

Pretty frictionless place to go shoot. Most of the staff is friendly, though the range master was a bit snippy on one of my last visits on a topic that was unrelated to safety. On a different topic, it would be great if they had a better system for storage. Occasionally, when its busy, theres not a lot of space to store your stuff and reload your weapon. Large areas are taken up by people lying there rifle cases down, so if youre sharing a lane and are trying to reload while a friend shoots, youre going to be doing it with your ammo on an awkwardly low or high rack space.

Nice indoor range and good selection of rentals. Get Some is always PACKED on the weekends and its really irritating to try and move around to look at things when its so busy. Parking is usually kinda crappy too, but thats just because of the location. They usually have a pretty extensive variety of guns in stock which I like. What I dont like is their ammo prices. Its all about profit and not about being a good guy to the customers. Last time I looked at .22 and 5.56 ammo it was certainly priced to gouge. More so than the other gun stores around. Ill look here last if I need ammo. The staff for the most part is friendly and helpful though.

I needed some scope rings for a new set up I have on a rifle. They had a large selection of rings with various price options. Mel helped me find the right sized rings, tested multiple set ups to ensure clearance in all the situations. To finish the job Mel installed the scope with the rifle and scope being properly level and at my eye relief. Job well done.

Just called and asked if they had any 8mm rifle amo and before I could even finish my question the lady just said (no) and hung up.Rude as hell.

I stopped by Get Some after lunch last Saturday to get some accessories for my AR. When I arrived it was a full house. Even though he was helping a couple at the counter, the guy up front greeted me as soon as I walked in the door . A co-worker of his came around the corner soon after and also said hello and asked if I needed any help. I said I did and he assured me that he would take care of me when he was finished helping the person he was with.Help me he did.Not only did he completely dial out what I might want but also took the time to grab the parts and mock them up alongside my rifle on the counter. He even showed me a couple of different color schemes. I thought that pretty impressive, especially considering that he didnt miss a beat with the other customers in the store while doing so. Im definitely going back to Get Some when I need anything gun-related! Be on the lookout for this employee and have him share his expertise. I asked his name but forgot. You cant miss him though as he wears glasses and is tall enough to touch the ceiling.Way to go, Get Some. Thanks!

Purchased 5 firearms in the past from this shop. My brother has purchased 3 or 4. Customer service was never amazing. Go elsewhere. They look for excuses not to sell you a firearm before even running a BCI history report. Wanted to buy some sights and have them put on and was told to come back next week because they didn’t have time when the store was dead besides a few people in the range. Go to the armory in sandy much nicer folks.

Called with questions about optics. Was interested in $500 - $1000 optics and asked what they had and of they could tell me prices. The response I got nows not really a good time for us to talk you.I guess they arent really interested in helping their customers. They may have been busy but the response definitely caused me to go somewhere else for my optics and gun needs.

These guys are great! I have no idea what the other reviews are going on about. Both times Ive gone (go early on Saturday before the get busy) I have received excellent customer care. Amanda gave my wife some great tips to improve her shooting, as well as some recommendations on a gun purchase. Weve been to several other ranges in the Salt Lake Valley and this is by far my favorite place to shoot. We will be buying our monthly range passes here.

I have been in the market for an upgrade on my carry gun. I went into the store on a Saturday morning and as usual it was busy. Art took more time with me than he probably should have, lying out guns (in my price range) to let me handle, operate, and get the basic feel for. He also helped me weigh out the pros and cons to the various brands of guns. I really appreciated his helpful attitude, because in a situation that I may need this gun to protect myself or my family, I needed to have the extra attention. He understood my situation, listened to my needs and helped me make the right choice for me. I have used the range many times, and have brought my children there too. If you are looking for a great, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. dont go anywhere else. Thanks guys for everything you do.

I have become a regular at Get Some Guns & Ammo over the last year to the point several of their employees know me by name and are always friendly and willing to help me, regardless of my ignorance and dumb questions that I bombard them with.They always help me and are friendly regardless if I buy anything which shows they care about their customers which is rare.A lot of people do not know, but they also price match which is convenient. Overall, I like them and will continue to go there until Im treated poorly, which I do not see happening.The truth is, youre going to have good and bad experiences every where, I just have the fewest, if any at Get Some.

Some of the staff here act as if they can afford to lose customers, especially one tall, heavyset man with a beard. I came in asking for an outside the waistband holster and got a speech about how I didnt know anything about concealed carry and better start changing my wardrobe instead... After I left, I realized it was a holiday weekend and the staff was probably stressed out from all the crowds in there, but Im still not planning on going back, unless its the middle of the day on a non-holiday weekday. Avoid this place like the plague on holidays and weekends as itll be packed, the staff will be cranky, and the range will be full of young guys teaching their new girlfriends how to shoot an automatic rifle for the first time ever. The range is great when its quiet, and some of the staff are great, but theyre overshadowed by the rest.

I went in August 7th 2018 today and was very pleased with the service I had never shot a gun before and the guys there was very very Helpful. He showed me how to use the gun how to load, hold, aim and stand he also checked on me he gave me very Encouraging words, and made me feel comfortable I really appreciate his willingness to work with me. These guys are awesome went in looking for a couple hard to find guns they had everything Ive been looking for and some. I dont know what the hell all the negative crap is about the customer service these guys where excellent towards me and my friends let us look at and handle anything we asked for they where also very friendly and answered all of our questions. I did notice the space is very tight but didnt see what the problem there was the place is completely packed with just about anything a gun lover could ever want. I bought my first handgun here a while back, and only after going to other gun stores did I realize how poor the customer service was, especially to a new gun owner. Walked in, never said a word to my girlfriend and I. Yes they were helping a couple but that doesnt take two employees. Waited around for 10 minutes in plain sight then left after being ignored. I had heard good things about this shop but they need to work on social skills.

Indoor range is great during the weather and when you dont have time to get away. Reasonable prices to use the guns they have and they have a wide selection. Gun and ammo prices in general are not a bargain. They dont do any repairs or modifications.

$18 to share a lane with a friend and you can shoot all day. One of the counter guys helped me clear a really stubborn jam, no charge, just super friendly. Great place to shoot within the city. Well be back!

Get Some is a great store staffed with people who are pretty knowledgeable about the products they carry and services they provide. I live in Colorado and look forward to window shopping/browsing whenever I travel to SLC. I have made some ammo and accessory purchases, used the indoor range and have always been more than satisfied with everything they offer.

I have been to several Gun stores in the last month. But From now on I will only go to Get Some. The service there is far and above the Stores that I went to. They are very friendly and very helpful. What I like most is they dont have a know it all attitude when asking questions.I dont know a ton about guns but I know enough to get by. I was not treated like I was dumb for asking simple questions. Last time I was there I bought a Magpul Stock and the guy behind the counter put it on for me. While it is not a difficult task he went above and beyond. And it has been the same way every time I have gone in, nothing but great. I also found the ammo I like there and it was cheaper than everywhere else.

Ive got to hand it to the guys at Get Some. Over the years Ive become a patron, and Ive noticed that their customer service has climbed leaps and bounds. I came in today and was greeted promptly. They answered every question I had, and didnt make me feel inferior (which some gun enthusiasts do). Not only did they have what I want, but they also price matched it with no delay. If you get Bret, Mario or Amy youll have a good experience, but most times I go in theres this old guy hes a pushy sales man. I was in yesterday and the new guy he was training didnt listen to what I was saying and when it was clear that I wasnt buying that day I felt very un-welcomed. I cancelled my layaway with them and went to a friendly store.

Very poor service, very poor prices, excellent stock/selection. Arrogant attitudes of staff are offensive specifically in such a customer service oriented business. Sales staff are not as knowledgeable as they think they are. Range is good with poor safety discipline being practiced. Eventually, this is a recipe for accidents. Will take business elsewhere.

Prices high. Attitude and service poor. But selection is good. and their range is open late for after-work shootings. With a lot more customer service and better attitude this place would be 5star.

Came here to shoot the 50 and the P90 auto. Guys wear really cool. Helped me out on the range. Showed me how to do everything and had a blast.. best 130 I spent haha. Its a gun range you go there to either shoot or buy something. My experience was great next time Im in salt lake.. gonna go with the full 10 rounds on the .50. Hopefully they will let me shoot it standing up.. either way I popped my .50 BMG cherry.
