My parents, now in their 80s, have been taking their cars here as long as I can remember. Not only are they honest, but the prices are always fair. My dad is poor and has never had the best cars, always used and always in need of repairs. The owner has always treated my father with kindness and respect. He still works here. This is the kind of business that you tell people about because of ethics. And the person that put the bad review about 3 weeks ago, I know your review is not the truth. My friend is a long time standing customer of this place, he is the one who recommended that I come here. I am doing this as a favor to him.As a woman I have worked with many mechanics and car dealers for years, but then came went on to work for a different type of company for the 14 years.My friend recommended this place to have my car worked on, however I never became as customer.I find the prices extremely high for what I wanted done and I believe that because Im a woman and maybe he thought I was naive.So for my friend asked that I deleted my review. That explained all of the things that he quoted me on. But I still would not recommend coming to this place. The owner is a nice gentleman however my friend may come here but I would not be recommending any of my friends to this place.

My dad has been going to Murray Mower for years and I continued to use them once I moved out. I now live in Herriman and still make the drive to have any of my small engines and even my car serviced there. They charge a fair price and always take care of us!

Purchased a used toro lawn mower from these guys about 6 years ago or so. Mower was pretty much flawless for those 6 years. Then my dog ripped the pull cord off. Took it back to these guys to get it replaced and get a full tune up with blades sharpened. Chad jumped on it and fixed her up like new again! Long story short. These guys rock! Have had nothing but good experiences with them. Thanks again chad!

We purchased a used mower here 2 years ago. We had some issues with it in the first year and they always looked it over quickly and for free. This is the third year and we brought it in for a tune up. They were able to do it quickly and for a fair price. We will definitely continue to give them our business.

I bought a mower from here last spring and it ran great all summer. No issues at all. Unfortunately like an idiot I left it outside all winter and consequently didn’t start up. I called in the afternoon and they told me to come right in. 15 minutes after arriving the mower was running in excellent condition with a bonus sharpened blade. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely fair priced! Highly recommend

There’s places you go where the people there just know their stuff, like what they do, and are good at it. This is one of those places. It’s not a fancy retail shop with shiny floors and big signs, or even an intuitive parking lot, but none of that matters. They had a slew of lawnmowers and edgers waiting to be worked on, I equated that to customer loyalty and good work. What I needed their help with was taken care of quickly and without hassle. I’ve lived in Utah most of my life and never knew this place existed but I’m sold and I’ll be taking my stuff to them from now on. You should too.

Took my mower in to get fixed, I knew it was the carburetor because it worked fine but then sat for 15 years… John gave me a price quote that was reasonable, and told me what he would do to it to get it in perfect working condition. As an afterthought we asked if we could bring in another more that didn’t work for trade for the fix on mine and he said yes…In no time at all, same day, he called to tell me I could pick it up… And that was that...It’s been raining all day and I haven’t used it yet but I have perfect confidence that it will work perfectly. It runs just fine.

I goggled this service shop in Murray, based on their reviews decided to have them repair my lawn mower tire that was broken. The service was fast and everyone was so nice and helpful. This is a long time coming and frankly im a little embarrassed that it has taken me this long to write a review. John has helped me twice in the last year and a half on my lawnmower. Once from EBAY on a part that he was selling and year later for another lawnmower issue. He actually remembered my name from a year previous. It was a very nice surprise. I took my lawn mower here to get serviced because it wouldnt start. That was two years ago. I havent had a problem with it since. They also sharpened the blades without being asked and did some magic tune up that has made it last. Very straight shooters with good products and great service. I bought a used mower from John at Murray Mower and about a month later it wouldnt stay running. They guaranteed it until September so I brought it back. Turns out I had done something wrong. Even though they were busy with many repairs John took it right away and fixed it. He also showed me what he was doing and what the problem was so in the future I can probably fix it myself.

John was very accommodating and helpful in getting a used HR214 mower set up for me. He showed me dos and dont s with the mower. I received a warranty when no other shop should. He cares about his customers! I will go to him again for other yard items needed. This shop is a real gem in a sea of mower repair mediocrity.

Was in need of a used lawnmower and stumbled on a KSL post these guys had. Best price/quality around, with a 90-day warranty.Ended up having issues with the mower after about 2 months (probably caused by tipping to the wrong direction and getting oil in the gas tank.These guys fixed it up, no questions asked and had me back out on the lawn in no time.Definitely recommended

Took in a 40 year old blade lawn edger that the carburetor had fallen off of. It was repaired in 5 days with 4th holiday in between. Other shops told me to discard the old machine and estimated way over twice what Murray charged if they did work on it. It works great! They are very honest and their pricing is fantastic. I would strongly recommend. Very satisfied, glad I found them.

Took 2 family vehicles here for years. Typically just oil changes, but about once a year Id tell Galen - Need this SOB to run another 100k and he would give it a good once over and let me know if anything serious should be done with a time frame to do it in. While having vehicles serviced here, I cant recall a single time a vehicle left me stranded or in an awkward situation. Just turn the key and drive.

Ok, so I had two mowers which didnt start.. and my grass was getting to the point of if a neighbor were to say anything to the city Id sure have been cited.. I did give it the old college try but to no avail & needed a solution.I called around: 3 weeks out 4 weeks out..My intuition lead me here..I knew I should have called em in the first place..BAM, bring em in lets look at em.. one being 23yrs old was fixed and running like a bat outa hell in 15min. They had the parts for it and knew the carb. Which was a rare plastic one off.$30.The other promised running in 2-3days took less than 20hrs to get a call saying its ready come get it! Bam!Cost just under $90. ..waaaaay cheaper than buying another mower and dealing with the same issues..Done $120 bucks lawns mowed both RIP with one-2 pulls and I can go to work knowing alls well..piece of mind piece of cake..Guys are good/fair/honest did me right..

Purchasing a brand new snowblower just wasn’t in our budget, so we decided to check out Murray Automotive and Mower Shop to see what they had to offer. The last used snowblower we purchased from KSL classifieds turned out to be a bust, so needless to say, I was hesitant to buy used again. That hesitation quickly faded away after speaking with John. He was very patient, and seemed to be an expert with a variety of small engine products. John took the time to educate us about which snowblower would suit our needs, and showed us a few different models. We ended up buying a used snowblower that should last for years to come, and so far, has worked without any issues.

Repairmen was honest, didnt try to sell me something we didnt need, were fast, and the price was right. Ill definitely be returning.

I saw a listing on KSL for a lawn mower that I wanted. I called to make sure they still had it, and was told that they had two of the same one available. When I went to purchase it, I was told that both had sold between the time I called and the time I went in. I decided to call from a different number and ask about it again, and was told that they still had two, despite being told that they had both been sold less than five minutes before. Such a scam!
