Fabulous ice cream with lots of hand-dipped options, and a huge menu. Cute place with a playground outside that our daughter loved to play on after getting that sugar high. 😂 Would definitely recommend.

The best ice cream in the county. Im a little disappointed that the size of their small twist has shrunk to less than half its previous size. I ordered a medium on my last visit and it was smaller than the small was at the beginning of this season. Still delicious and better prices than anywhere else nearby.

Love stopping here when I go see my parents for a visit. The blue moon is pretty good but the kids twist is my favorite! They do cute faces on the ice cream and are very clean /tidy / kind.

This ice cream shoppe is so cute! Its a throw back to the 50s with a black and white checker board floor, red accents, and a working juke box. I thought it was really adorable. The got fudge sundae I had was great and the staff were really friendly. Theres a play area for the kids and a nice covered porch to eat your sweet treats. And they have a drive thru!

We love Hometown! As well as the owners and workers! The only place we go for ice cream and they know our order well! They are probably the only place that will put my sons ice cream in a larger cup so he can have a ton of whipped cream.

This is the best place to eat ice cream in Muskegon area. They offer a great selection of ice cream products. The staff are really friendly. The hours will extend as the weather warms up. The atmosphere is cozy and homey showcases local Muskegon history.

Great place. I used the drive thru and the the guy was wearing a mask and so was I. Felt like some precautions were being used. We got waffle cones and they were delicious.

15/5 stars. I dream about medium twist cones from Hometown. The staff are some of the best people in the world (especially because they dont judge us for coming in twice a day sometimes!) I often contemplate driving 2 hours to get ice cream from this wonderful place.

Standard mid range selection with a few random highlights. Hearty single scoop hard serve is an excellent value. Soft serv provides standard goodness. Has the staples of a solid MI creamery, Moose Trax, Superman, and a clean facility with pleasant staff.

This is the best place in Muskegon for ice cream!When I was pregnant and craved it every second of my life, we went every day and I tried each one of the flurry flavors to determine my favorite and it was the highlight of my day! For the record, the drumstick flurry is INCREDIBLE.It’s super clean, the staff is quick and friendly and the playset outside is really fun for my 2 year old while we sit on the Adirondack chairs around it.There’s an ice cream place literally a mile from my house but I happily drive 15 minutes to go here instead!

Young kids working the place did a decent job. I asked for a suggestion for a good ice cream flavor.... since there are so many options.....was not dissatisfied at all by the brownie smores!!!! So tasty. Not to mention they were making waffle cones and the how place smelled fantastic...so I had to have a waffle bowl. Cute little place too!

Ive loved this place for many years now!The inside has an old-time feel w/ the juke box, small, round tables, & decor all around.The outside has more of a modern feel.It has a decent sized play area for children to swing, slide, climb, & run around to release their pent upenergy, while the adults can sit down & relax at any one of several picnic tables, which gives this place an enjoyable, fun, family friendly atmosphere for all ages.Its a great place to meet up w/ friends on a hot summers day & cool off & enjoy an awesome array of delicious ice-cream treats (they have fudge, too).

Very nice! Great scoop ice cream, wonderful creations. Very clean restrooms. Grounds are kept up impeccably. Many picnic tables to sit at outside and several nice tables inside as well, and a Wurlitzer juke box loaded with 45s!Great service and wont break the bank to take the family.We are from Grand Rapids and will definately make this a stop every chance we get. We are spending a week in the Muskegon area and have been trying a different ice cream parlor each night. As far as customer service and atmosphere this was by far the best! We had 6 kids who all asked for a taster before ordering. Mike was super friendly and happy to help the kids. We played some songs on the old fashioned juke box and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The kids played on the little kids play area outside as well! Definite win! Primarily but not exclusively KEMPS brand ice cream and we loved it.

Definitely my favorite place to get icecream froyo and frozen treats! The inside has a nice throwback theme and the workers are attentive. This place has a playground and a drive through which is nice if your going to the beach or somewhere warm.
