Her honesty, service, professionalism, and positive attitude was much appreciated. My installation had some challenges around my anxiety with COVID but they were patient and did an excellent and considerate installation. I will definitely use them in my future projects! Thank You!

I would recommend avoiding this company. They claimed we sold them a new piece of equipment but we tried to deliver a used piece instead without them knowing (somehow) and that our quotes and invoices dont match.Everything was very well documented IN EMAILS, QUOTES, AND INVOICES but this company is so unprofessional its mind blowing.... they even called in our front office harassing our admin staff to only call back later and admit they were wrong but didnt offer an apology to multiple people they HARRASSED.... very shady business practices from Mr. MAURO MELGACO. I have reported their reviews to Google and will also be reporting them to BBB.

I purchased a piece of granite and sink from South Star Granite. Im happy with the granite but not the installation. The smaller basin became detached. The clips were too short to reach the sink from the cuts in the granite that were made. The installers used shims in an attempt to bridge the gap. The only thing holding it was the caulking. The shim and the clip fell out. The other sink basin was done correctly ( last picture). I went to S. Star to discuss and manager denied responsibility and said that he would have to charge me to come out. He did not have a different plan or parts (longer clips) to make it correct and suggested that I go online or to supply store like Fergusons. I went there and to Home Depot as well and showed them pictures and checked on parts. They stated that your work was subpar and you guys should have known better. These specific parts are hard to come by. You cut corners and it cost me. Lastly, I referred a client to you who bought a piece like mine but you treated her poorly as well. And she knows everyone in Myrtle Beach. Please take more pride in your work and customer service. L. Roberts

Our showroom and warehouse experience with Keroly was unhurried and her experience was very helpful in our (lengthy) decision-making process. Template maker and installers were on time as scheduled. Cut granite too the incorrect size and they were told it would not work still glued to walls and then ripped the paint off the wall and 4 month later not one phone call or nothing to fix. We built a new home in Conway and South Star was the granite company that the builder used. I can not say enough great things about them. The 2 gentlemen that came to measure were so friendly and I was very particular on where I wanted the seam to go in the granite. He made a phone call and it was okay to do it where I wanted it. Then Fabio and Nick were the installers, I had spoke to them on another job they were at and they did a really good job, so I was hoping they were the ones that were going to do my home and they were. They were polite, friendly and did an awesome job on the seam and installing the granite. Very Very Very Happy Customer here. Also, I went to the South Star office to get a sink protector and the woman I spoke with was very nice. Sorry I forgot her name. Keep up the great work!!!

We recently had Granite countertops installed by South Star Granite. I have to say Wilson did a great job. He took the time to explain all the things he was doing. He made some modifications in the field as he went and made sure everything was installed level and sealed. You can hardly see the seams. After they were done they cleaned the area up and sealed the granite giving it a beautiful finish. We had granite installed at a different home and they did not do nearly as good a job as Wilson. I would definitely recommend them if you are having Granite installed. Great Job!!

So pleased with Southstar Granite. They just finished installing my counter top and I am so happy with the product but what sets this company apart is their customer service. Worked with Izabella when we chose our slab and she was great. Anytime I called, whoever answered the phone was able to answer my question. It continued with the very knowledgeable young man who came to measure, the young man at the fabrication shop and today with Brandon who installed. Thank you!

Just report my dispute to Visa. Thank goodness I paid half with visa. They will not return calls. Install damage piece and other issue. So now they will be out over 1k because they will not return calls or follow up on issues with their product and services

Strongly urged not to use this company. Showed up with Counter top that was two different sizes. To their credit they did correct that. I gave them a sink I wanted installed which they took with them to template and they still come out the wrong one.They cut out for double bowl sink when I gave them single bowl. Unfortunately was told this was the last piece of granite of that color that we picked out in stock. Was told they had the same size sink that would fit the hole they cut and they would credit me $300 the cost of the sink I bought which I gave them so they can resell. The sink they installed does not fit the cut out. The cut out is at half inch too big on one side and 1/2 inch do small on the other. Manager wanted to cut my custom cabinets that I built myself to make their mistake work not happening, I Guest installing larger sink . I deducted $500 from agreed price. Original agreed price was $2400,They said they would take off 300, paid them $1900. Probably should not of paid anything more than the 50% deposit. The manager said he was going to send me to collections, good luck with that.Had this Conversation the first time they called, let them know how unhappy I was, there is not anything further to be done. Also said if they call back and wasted more of my time I would leave a review, probably multiple.Now they say I am black mailing them.Want to come out and make hole even bigger so it matches. Done, do not want it to look that way,bad enough on 2 sides, paid for flush,no way to make hole that is too big smaller.Now they threaten to leave fake review on my business

From start to finish everything was seamless and professional. The moment we walked in the back to pick something out, I spotted the Avalanche Quartzite. Immediately I was in love. The wait for installation was not long at all. The professionalism of Fabio, Nick, and Vitor was amazing. The cleanup on my part was minimal, which I was very pleased with. What a great company. I have used them for granite for three kitchens and bathrooms in three houses. Their prices are fair, their service excellent and their reputation with me is outstanding. I couldnt be happier. The sales people are very professional and the installers are great. They arrived on time, kept the door closed so the a/c wouldnt cool the neighborhood, did a quick and efficient install, and cleaned up after themselves. These days its hard to find that kind of quality work.

We had an excellent experience with South Star Granite! They were really helpful when looking for the stone we wanted, and were able to answer all of our questions. They also allow you to come in and choose the exact cuts you want! It turned out absolutely perfect!

Our experience started out great. We loved the guy who came to do our first measurement and he gave a lot of useful advice. We had a good experience at the store and found the associate that helped us was very helpful and we ultimately made a purchase.Our first bad experience was when they came to do the final measurement and gave us a timeframe 12 to 3, which was absolutely fine except they never showed up. We never got a call or anything to indicate that they were not going to come. Then when we called to reschedule we found that that process took quite a bit longer than expected. But, we still understand that these things have to be done and we’re moving forward.Then we get the call that our granite has arrived and although we scheduled it for September 28, we got a call saying it would be installed on the 14th. We were luckily able to get the scheduling fixed, but struggled calling and leaving messages or being told we would get a call back. We had to do most of the calling. Then when they finally came to install the granite. We found that they had not sent the riser with our order, that we made sure we specifically ordered. They also did not have our bill and tried to get us to sign an alternative bill. But my husband refused. Then we went through quite a back-and-forth calling ordeal trying to get the riser, which we had already planned and paid for install. And again the very frustrating part is when you are told they will call you back and they do not. My husband and I both work, so we were not always in a position to answer every call and luckily it all worked out and we are pleased with the overall product. But definitely feel like we put a lot of work into details that were not necessarily some thing we should’ve had to deal with in this process.

Fair prices, quick customer centric service

I contacted this company and within the week I had my countertops!! The guys came and completed their work very efficiently. Juliana has been nothing but professional and the prices were the best all around. They made me a cutting board from my left over piece, which they forgot to bring with them, when I contacted Juliana, she was prepared to have them drive an hour one way to deliver it to me the next day. Great customer service and quality work are hard to find these days. I highly recommend them for both!!

I’ve had personal experiences with pretty much all the other granite companies at the beach and not one of those other companies made me feel welcome when I walked through their doors. Everything about South Star granite is amazing the pricing the people the craftsmanship . To be 100% honest with you I’ve never seen Such a friendly and eager staff they truly go above and beyond. A few weeks later we chose a beautiful quartzite countertop. Zach came to template to our exact requirements then soon after that Brandon and Mike came and did a very precise installation while I sized an adjoining cherry wood countertop that had to match up perfectly. I build my own kitchen cabinets, that is my business, and I can appreciate a business that can do the same quality and services as I do. I went to South Star to pick out granite for a rental home my husband and I were building. Cynthia showed me several different pieces of granite until we decided on one. Great place to buy your granite! Sales people were very helpful, they were here on time and delivered granite when they had estimated it would be ready for install. No delays, no problems! We expected to have some repairs since we had done our back splash last year, but there was no repairs to be done, excellent installation. Couldnt ask for more! Highly recommend this company.

Horrible experience. Unprofessional and unfriendly staff. After having words with the manager about forging a number on my check (to which he responded that it was OK to write in the number because his bank knew him and would accept it)... I informed him that it was illegal to just change numbers on peopleschecks... And he proceeded to rip up the check in my face and cancel the installation. Meanwhile the girls working the front desk thought it was funny because they, too are unprofessional and are more concerned with their cell phones and make-up than customer service. Following this experience I immediately went a few doors down to Granite Stars and had them template me on Friday and install on Tuesday for $600 LESS for the same exact quartz slab!!! MUCH better experience and professional company!!!Update: Now the manager is harrassing me. Upon being told not to call me again, he proceeded to call me 4 more times in a row forcing me to block his number. Now he is sending me emails harrassing me threatening me because of the review. Apparently the manager doesnt know the law... Because telling a truthful experience on a review is not criminal :). Please.... Unless you want a psychotic man stalking you and a dreadful experience stay away from this company. I highly recommend Granite Stars instead. No headache, no threats, no drama. Just awesome work at a better price and faster service!

Just had my new granite installed and just love it. Such a pleasure to work with this company! After looking for granite in 4 places, decided to go with south star. Their price was the best (other companies were higher for exact same product ). Plus I like that their granite is indoors in a warehouse, its so hard to decide and impossible in the sun, was easier indoors. Salesman Mauro extremely personable and professional! Also another biggie one place I went to emailed me an estimate. The estimate just gave me the total,whats the point😣South Stars estimate shows you everything so you know exactly what your paying for. As for the installation it was excellent, sorry I forget theirs names, but they were meticulous!! My granite is perfect ! They know their job and my kitchen was cleaner then before they got there! South Star installed granite counter tops for our outdoor kitchen. They did a great job! They delivered and installed our counter tops in a timely manner. The installers were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. I highly recommend South Star Granite and Flooring. I will be contacting them again when we start our bathroom remodel.

We purchased granite to redo our kitchen at our condo in Myrtle, and used South Star after a disaster experience with another fabricator. South Star was extremely knowledgeable, professional and had reasonable prices for quite a few products, including some of the better granite under their weekly special prices (which we used). Everything they did was on time and their fabrication was excellent. Installation was also on time and it looks wonderful. No price change surprises or anything like that. Would use again and recommend.

Perhaps emphasize to employees that they should not text and drive. Clear as day texting with the phone practically up to their face on 501 midday, not just at the red light.

South Star Granite was a superb company! Mauro was the best and took great care of us from helping to pick the best granite for our style to suggesting undermount sinks which was a great idea! The time frame from picking out the granite to installation was extremely efficient! The granite installers were very professional and did a fantastic job. They even covered our granite to make sure no damage or dust would be on our countertops. This is the best company we would recommend to call for all your granite! Super professional and friendly! Can not say enough about this company!

They jacked up the price. I met with the owner in person and was told the pricing includes all fabrication, installation, and a square edge per square foot. They even advertise online that the price per square foot includes all fabrication. I picked out my materials and was ready to have everything done when they wanted to charge extra for cutting out the sink hole. Even when I brought to their attention you advertise the price includes all fabrication and square edges, they were not interested in removing the extra fee.

Had South Star install my kitchen countertops in April of 2017. Was promised a cutting board with installation. Installers did not deliver the cutting board when they installed countertops. I called Peppa at South Star she said she forgot and would have a cutting board made and would call when it was ready. Well here it is three months later and still no cutting board. After 4 months and after going to South Star I finally got the cutting board. I had to go and pick it up.

Great to work with. They just finished the install this afternoon. Decided on them based solely on the price. They were $1700 cheaper then the next closest estimate for similarly graded products. Having 120 square feet to cover, cost was a big factor. Worked with Mauro, whom was very pleasent, knowledgable and honest in opinions. He, the templeter and the installers were timely and professional when they came to our home.The installers that we worked with, Fabio and Fabrese were incredibly courteous, and worked swiftly. Any concerns I had were quickly resolved and they had no issues working around our 140 lb dog.Without hesitation, I would highly recommend using South Star. THEY TOLD US TO REMOVE OUR OLD KITCHEN SINK AND COUNTER PRIOR TO THEIR ARRIVAL. WE HAD THE OLD REMOVED ON 11/8/2021 AND OUR CONTRACTOR DUMPED IT. WELL AT 11:45 ON 11/9 WE HAD NOT HEARD FROM THEM AND MY HUSBAND CALLED THEM AND THE RECEPTIONIST SAID THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CALL US ON 11/8 AND TELL US THE QARTZ GOT CRACKED AND THEY COULD NOT DELIVER. SO MY HUSBAND AND I GO BACK DOWN THERE AND THE MANAGER SAYS TO PICK OUT SOMETHING ELSE AND THEY WILL SATISFY US. WE PICK OUT SOMETHING AND THEY EMAIL US ANOTHER QUOTE FOR $1000 MORE! CALLED THEM BACK..MANAGER WILL NOT TAKE OUR CALL. HE TELLS THE SALES GIRL TO REFUND OUR MONEY…WHAT? NOW I HAVE TO START OVER WITH ANOTHER COMPANY WHICH WILL TAKE WEEKS!
