As a novice in the coin world, who inherited a coin collection that remained in a closet for years, I finally decide to take action. This was not a trivial endeavor finding a business that I felt comfortable with to assist with the sale of my coins. Upon walking into the store I was greeted and gained the sense of comfort I needed to make a decision whether to keep or sell the coins. Both Joe and Brad answered my questions in regards to keeping the coins and or selling them based on their knowledge and the manner they explained coin world. I highly recommend this place If you find yourself in a similar predicament seeking information about coins ( not necessarily selling - just information gathering ), Visit their shop and put yourself at ease.

My wife and I stopped in during a rainy beach day. We typically find a LCS while away from home. I love to stack and collect coins however, I love meeting great people even more. There are not enough words to describe how personable and delightful it was to have met and done business with Joe and Brad. Been to many coin shops in the past. With that mentioned, These 2 men are a class act. Made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Didnt feel like a bother or an inconvenience. Carried on a normal conversation. Treated us like an every day customer. Sure wish I had these men in my own back yard, in PA. They have a great selection and am sure they will have what you are looking for. Been enjoying coins since I was given my grandfathers collection. Trying to find specific coins at a good price has been such a touch task. Went here today and found a couple of things I have been looking for. These guys are amazing and very knowledgeable. Wish I lived here to visit more often(or maybe not because I’d be broke.) Definitely recommend this place. I will be back.

We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach and my 9 year old son wanted to visit a local coin store. He has just recently become a collector and has become very interested in coins. Needless to say the guys at the shop treated my son as any other customer, took there time to answer all his questions. He left with some coins and a new friend. Spent about an hour at the shop and really enjoyed the experience. Proprietors have solid numismatic knowledge and are very easy to work with. We talked cars, pizza, and local attractions while we shopped. Sold some items at a fair price and bought some really nice coins as well. Went there on vacation this week, took a few NGC slabbed common date Peace Dollars, one NGC slabbed Franklin FBL (graded MS 62 so not special), and one 1917 PCGS slabbed type 1 SLQ. Asked for a verbal appraisal hoping to trade them in for one or two nicer coins with cash on top from my end. Verbal appraisal came in low since the price on Peace dollars have climbed in the past few months so I declined the offer. I know the shop has to make a profit but the quote was low considering the quantity of coins I had. First comment from the first NGC Peace he looked at was (exact quote), Man the grade on this is tough, indicating to me he disagreed with the grade. BUT - even though I decided to keep my coins, I bought 3 non-slabbed Peace dollars from them and those prices were very fair as far as current market values go. I dont know if there were coins they chose not to display but the selection was a little bit light, in my opinion and the person there (Brad) seemed disinterested in my business in complete honesty. He looked like hed rather be somewhere else. I wouldnt sell but let me reiterate that the prices I bought at were fair and the cleaned coin was identified as such and I was fine with it since I put it in a Whitman for my daughter.

This quaint store has everything to offer the numismatic collector. From old notes to fine graded coins and everything in between. Their prices are reasonable and the owner is still willing to do a bit of haggling with you as well. I highly recommend people go check this shop out and give them your business. I visit the area quite frequently and will be returning for more coins and notes. I was able to get a gorgeous PF70 Ultra Cameo American Silver Eagle during my visit this past weekend as well as another Silver Eagle and a $2 South Carolina Bank note for my wife. Mr. LaBarbera and Mr. Johnson are very knowledgeable in the field as well. They provide a wonderful experience to all those who enter their shop.

I visit coin shops whenever I am out of town looking for particular items. This shop was well stocked, and priced right. Bring cash, or expect a 3.xx% upcharge to cover the interchange fee for using a card. That was not a surprise, but most LCS I visit take it as a cost of doing business as opposed to passing along the cost in that way.All in all, great selection, and knowledgeable proprietors. Make the stop, it is worthwhile!
