As someone who works in the service industry I know what it means to deliver quality professional service, and I felt that I got that from all the staff I interacted with at the Peterson DCJR service center, including their mobile mechanic Darryl. I had replaced my car battery for my 2015 Chrysler 200 S and all the sudden my car wouldn’t go into gear, it was something to do with erasing the car computers memory and the car’s system needing something called a Proxy Alignment, which can only be done by certain equipment to my understanding. Coming to terms with having to pay to get my car towed to a shop that would have the means to fix my car and the cost to do it I called the Peterson DCJR service center. To my surprise the representative who answered the phone had a good idea what the problem was, offered to send out a mobile mechanic, and told it it would only cost far less than what I estimated That was a huge weight off my shoulders. Darryl was my mobile mechanic, he was very professional and friendly, communicated with me to figure out when he could come by and was understanding of my work schedule. It took only about 20 to 30 minutes and he even gave me a discount. After that my car was on the road again, it was only undrivable for 1 day, so I am very pleased with everything.
I had a positive experience with Peterson recently. First, the service staff were polite, professional, and they took the time to address my concerns. My issue was a seat spring failing and the rear bench seat not seating properly. Jamie, the service tech, took the time to inspect my concerns and went the extra mile to search for similar problems through the Ram database. When I returned to pick up my truck, he explained what they had done to fix the problem and showed me a photo of what was causing the problem. Tje issue appears to be resolved, but Jamie asked me to drive the rig and let him know if the front seat spring fixed met my expectations. He also ordered a new spring assembly if the fix did not work. Overall, I am very pleased with the communication, professionalism, attention to detail, and making sure I was happy.I would recommend this service department based on my positive experience.
Darryl was on time friendly, efficient and professional. He came to my work to provide the service of a recall on my vehicle. The whole process was easy and fast from the lady that scheduled me in service to the technician that came out and completed the job.
Jamie was the service representative that helped us. We were on a trip and developed engine noise outside of Boise so went to the service department. We arrived after hours and Jamie was finishing up but still took time to help us. He had an idea that it maybe a easy fix and worked us in first thing the next morning and they got us on our way quickly. Thank you .
Peterson was great to work with! I had for over a year tried to get my car navigation and recall fixed with Larry H Miller in Boise. They straight up ignored me, and wouldn’t even schedule an appointment with me for a Jeep issued recall. I finally complained to Jeep directly, and they suggested taking my car to Peterson instead. The Peterson service department was friendly and listened to my concerns when scheduling the appointment. The service tech was also great to work with. I got text updates about my car, and they walked me though what needs to be done. I appreciate that they were not lazy like Larry H Miller and actually put effort into fixing my navigation and recall issues. Peterson is the only Jeep dealership I will go to now!
Nick in the service department has been great. They handled my concerns and kept in touch with me even though I was out of state while they worked on it this last time. There’s been three instances where I’ve had to bring my truck in(I’ve worked with Nick all three times); 2 out of the three times they surprised me pleasantly with execution and delivery of promises. The other time I can’t say I felt cheated, I just felt like they could’ve gone the extra mile and looked at a window code without charging me a hundred fifty bucks just to look. I’ll write that one off to business is business and labor costs money.I hate dealerships in general and I’ll be damned if this one isn’t slowly changing my mind

It’s been so hot out and my air conditioning just wasn’t holding up on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Nick was amazing! He went above and beyond on after all the testing and updates were done the issue persisted. So he suggested the carbon filter might be one of the issues as it was so thick as compared to a regular filter. We changed them out and it fixed the problem. The amazing thing is how much time he spent with me to make sure I was happy and satisfied. Nick is a great guy and works super hard and long hours to make sure his customers are happy. Thanks Nick.
After 36 hours, they advised us that fixing it would likely result in additional issues that may be vastly more expensive. We declined the service and got the car back. They were honest and straightforward.

Nate was the guy who assisted me in a warranty issue I had with my bed cover. It was pretty simple on my end. Nate did all the work and scheduling everything I needed to include warranty work and an engine block heater. I showed up and all was taken care of pretty quick. Great service.
We were treated very kindly and professionally by Joy, and those who worked with her.I went in for an oil change and ended up having to have a new battery as well as having to have the rear differential fluid changed, which was not in my line of thought. But it was handled in a way that I felt was honest and helpful.
My 2016 ram eco-diesel was throwing numerous codes to check the engine for various problems. The guys in their service department went out of their way to get me in quickly and back on the road home to Washington. They were courteous and friendly and got the job done at a very fair price! I have been using Peterson Jeep for about 8 years. John, service manager, is fantastic. Dennis Dillon has messed up my transmission and voided my factory warranty. After warranty was voided they refused to fix the Jeep or help in any way. Larry Miller Jeep told me that I should not have gone to Dennis Dillon. I called Petersen and was passed to John. He just said “bring it in, we will take care of you. Do you have another car to drive? How can we help you get it here?” And he did take care of the transmission and every other things that went wrong thereafter. I have done all the maintenance at Petersen, lift, tires, part upgrades, aftermarket equipment failure, transmission, battery. Customer service has always been exceptional, prices are fair and my Jeep runs well and looks beautiful. I had LED headlights installed today. Nick was awesome and got the job done early.

Very disappointed. I believe I was misinformed about rotors being out of spec. I am certain that new rotors not needed and old units could have been machined. To charge obscene price for mount and balance for new tires already on wheels with “less than 10 miles “ is a ripoff. Most of an hour to change fuel filter ? At most 20 minute task. Probably 10. “Shop/data charge for repair order $43.89. What is this?! You charge customer for you to learn your job? Audacious!Please bear in mind I managed a medium duty equipment shop of over 600 pickups and medium duty trucks in Prudhoe Bay. My Dad came to your shop for years so you had my trust. Not now. As an Alaskan passing through I expected to be taken advantage of but you folks went beyond.
Petersen was amazing! I received a letter about a potential recall on my car and 20 minutes after getting letter in mail I got a text from Petersen explaining the situation. They had me scheduled and handled all in 10 minutes. Service man showed up on time and was very polite and efficient. Thanks for the amazing service.
The recall specialist Katie was Great, the gentleman that greeted me this morning was as well. I will Say that when Nick called me to let me know the diagnosis was my battery I was disgusted that $459 to replace my battery was the charge. I chose not to use your service. Nick was not rude and understood when I said no thank you. I do not think I will use Peterson again which is sad because I plan to buy a Gladiator in the near future.

Joy was extremely helpful, very kind, patient, and an excellent listener. She made an experience that is typically very frustrating rather pleasant. Other attempts to work with the same service department were not as pleasant...except Katie. She was great about 8-9 months ago. A couple calls and stops in between were rather rough.
I had a flat tire and unfortunately due to the issue had to get 4 new tires. Joy at the service dept made sure I got to work so they could work on my car. She called me with updates & had a driver pick me up in the evening. I felt well taken care of and appreciate the personal touch. The driver was super friendly as well. My A/C stopped working on my 19 Ram 3500. The service department had the truck for 10 days to fix the A/C. When I got the truck back, it smelled like coolant, and the coolant reservoir was not bolted to firewall. The next day the low coolant light came on. I returned the truck to the service department the next day and Nick the service coordinator was not apologetic and even told me he had no transportation for me right away. When I told him I would need a loaner truck while they resolved the issue since my Ram is my work truck for my business, he laughed and said he has no cars to give me let alone a truck. Well I knew they had the same loaner truck I used the last 10 days because I saw it when I pulled in the lot. I told him that and he went right to the office and grabbed the key. This is the 5th time my Ram has been to the service department here, and every time I leave I feel like none of the employees there understand what customer service is, and they simply dont care about you or your vehicle. They did fix the A/C, and the coolant leak was just from the tech spilling coolant when refilling the cooling system.
I was charged $94 (which is way more than I have paid other places) and had to wait over 2 hours to get my vehicle back. I was told an hour and 15 minutes. A phone call would have been nice letting me know there was a delay. I figured for a quick lube, the job would have been done “quickly.The tech didn’t seem in any hurry to get my vehicle done, he would do a little and then go get a snack (I sat and watched from inside). I had to reset my oil life as no one in the shop did (glad I checked it) and I did not receive the sticker saying when my next oil change would be. I understand being busy but I don’t understand being lazy as there was more than one tech that could have been working on my truck as they were not busy when my vehicle was in the bay.
Gave me a great trade in value and set me up with a new lease that exceeded all expectations
I received a notice in the mail that our Dodge Dart needed a recall. The recall was to update the software in the drivetrain control module. A Peterson technician came to my house with their mobile unit and he did the update in about 15 minutes. This was great because I didnt have to take the car into their shop.
Customer service was Outstanding, they kept me aware of items that were in good condition and items that needed to be aware and taken care of. Joy Davis and the rest of the service staff were amazing.
While traveling through Idaho my Dodge truck had front wheel bearing failure causing damage to various components. Contacted service advisor Nick Echan who promptly worked me in through their very busy schedule which was very important as we had animals with us during our move. Repairs were made quickly and efficiently including several unrelated issues with the vehicle. Would highly recommend.

Very nice staff . Was little more of a wait then I am used to and they didnt dry off my car after wash but I just borrowed the towel they had there and did it myself . They were pretty busy so I dont hold it against them . Will be taking her back for next oil change :)

We bought a 2021 Ram 2500 pickup. Steve made the process easy and dare I say fun. He was very professional and knowledgeable and was able to get us exactly the truck we wanted. Steve spent time with us explaining all the futures and how they worked and let us know we could call him if we needed help with any of it. My 2016 jeep renagade a/c stopped working at 33000 miles. So the warranty was expired. They charged me over $500 to charge the system as a waited for 4 hours. Just to tell me the ac compressor clutch would not engage and i need a new one for an additional $800.. i was tild jeep uses differnt freon r1234yf so i should take it ot the dealership. A complete scam. They cant even get the OEM part for 800I did so.e we search and the compressors are a known bad unit which is why they go bad so quickly and they are no replacements in stock.
Although the work seems to be of quality and I have used this location 3 or 4 times I am not thrilled With the communication. They use text for reminders and for statuses yes that is very good. However it is been a real challenge and time intensive on my side to have to be the one following up whether it Be 6 hours after dropping the car off or after an hour or 2 when the service advisor says let me check and I will call you right backThis seems to be consistent between visits Maybe it is just the service advisor in I dont gel But the point is I am not overly thrilled
Had an appointment to have my jeep looked at. My car was running so it was not an issue to wait but my car broke down had to have it towed in and they were able to look at it before my actual appointment time. They were very accommodating, friendly and easy to communicate with about the status of my vehicle.

Went to Peterson for service and Travis helped me out. Was early and Travis made sure I got in and out in a timely manner. Upon completion Travis took time to explain some options I had and what the problem may be. Further Travis explained the differences in the climate control system. He took time and didnt rush any step of the program at all. Very pleased with Travis and the service.
My truck broke down due to another dealers service mistake and I managed to get my truck to Peterson Ram Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealership. The service coordinator said they were booked up at least 3 weeks. I told him my situation and he said his tech’s would look at it the next day but no promises. One of the other service coordinator’s gave me a ride (20) miles approximately to the airport to rent a car as I needed to get to my brothers memorial about 225 miles away. I received a phone call the next afternoon and I was told the problem with my truck and that it was repaired!!! I am EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with Peterson’s Dealership and ALL the service coordinators and tech’s!!! They went more than the extra mile!!!!, and we’re very personable and friendly!! They will have my business from this day forward and I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND Peterson’s Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep dealership in Nampa Idaho to all!!!!!

Overall, it was a positive experience. I had a long wait to get the keys to my car after it was brought up to the Service doors. This was due to a customer talking a lot. It would have been appreciated if the Service Man had paused the customer or asked another person in the Service Department to help and let me get my car so I could have left 20 minutes earlier than I did.

We came to Peterson to research and purchase an accessory (running boards) for our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Walked into the accessory area and stood around for 45 minutes. We were told by 2 different individuals that they would get someone for us, but no one came. They saw us standing there and just ignored us ...and they were not busy. I told my wife to stay there and I went over to parts to purchase a couple parts I needed and was waited on immediately by Andrew Flanders. We were finishing the parts purchase and my wife walked up and was seething mad and we both could see it. She had finally gotten to see Derik in Accessories by giving him the evil eye as he was sitting at his desk and was told essentially that he could not help her and brushed her off!! After standing there for 45 minutes we think she was due more than that but apparently not. Andrew heard the conversation and said possibly he could help. And would research it for us and call.On our drive home we got a call from Andrew saying he thought he found what we wanted - and actually had them in stock. We drove back and purchased the items he had found. Andrew went far and above what we expected him to do and he gets 5 stars and Derik gets 1 star for his lack of initiative and willingness to help. Averaged out to 3 stars for the company. Sorry for the long post but we had to get this off our chests.
I havent had many issues with my Ram but the few I have had have been resolved quickly and professionally. Petersons is quick to get me scheduled and diagnosed. Once diagnosed all work has been performed professionally and in a timely manner. I will continue to not only purchase vehicles there but also get my vehicles serviced there. Went in to get a 2.5” lift and 37” tires and it took them a day and a half to get done. Kinda spendy, ended up being $8,700. But the Jeep looks good and drives nice. They are very professional.
I worked with Julia for some simple recall fixes and one warranty fix. She got everything set up over their text line. After my truck was in she was great at communicating what was happening and when. The entire service department was very friendly and professional. Peterson’s is awesome to work with.
I had a battery in my 2019 Ram go bad (only 15k miles and about 1.5 years old). They replaced it under warranty with no issues whatsoever. Im pretty sure I actually killed the battery by accidentally leaving my bed light on over a three day weekend (in the cold). It just wouldnt hold a charge after that. Petersen Ram was actually very backed up on service due to a delay in shipping parts in due to weather, but they still fit me into their very busy schedule the day after I called. Got me in first thing in the morning and back on the road in a couple hours. Solid customer service! They are very good about keeping you informed about the progress of your repair. Couldnt be happier!

My vehicle set a code and the check engine light came on. Without an appointment I walked in and both Julia and Nick were offering to help me. Nick had the more open schedule so his team of professionals pulled my vehicle in the shop right away and they were able to determine the cause and were able to correct the problem.Great place and great service.
