Surprising what a little conversation can get you. The staff here will not push you to chat or bug you to explain your artistic ambition, but if you need help, they are TOTALLY HELPFUL and very educated in their products. If there is something they dont know, they look it up. Really good people, and many mediums represented to explore. There are local products here too, which I fully hope to see mirrored in more establishments in the future.

COLOR THEORY ART SUPPLIES is one of my favorite places to shop for art suplies. This place has a great selection of notebooks and paper. The staff is friendly and accomodating. However, I cannot speak about COLOR THEORY without mentioning their delicious restroom. They got the diffuser goin on in there, with some mindfulness oils filling the air. The toilet paper they use is of the highest quality i have ever used. When i wipe, its as if the softest lips are kissing away the caca.

These folks have the right idea. Its a wonderful collection of posh and standard art supplies and paper products. Pens, paints and pencils galore! We stopped and chatted with the owner who was very kind and was a fountain of knowledge. We will be back!!

I took my granddaughter to redeem her gift card and she loved it. She found all the paint she wanted as well as brushes and accessories. We will be back! Staff were so helpful and took the time to figure out her 7 year old vision 😄

This place is great and super organized. The staff was really patient and they know what to recommend as well for any art project youre doing. You can buy anything art related in bulk or in separate. From covered pens and pencils to poster boards, this place has everything. A definite stop if youre just looking around for quality art and project stuff, for good prices, and youre going to support a local business.

This place is a fantastic art store! They have everything you need...and then some. Went in for a charcoal pencil. Came out with 10 other wonderful items. They are very helpful and will suggest materials like what you are buying to check out. Do art in Napa!

I enjoy this store very much. They carry a good selection of items for artists. Its not a hobby store. Awesome selection of acrylic paints and things a serious artist might want i.e. brushes, paper, calligraphy pens, pencils etc. They also have a nice selection of gift packaging items, paper, boxes and containers. Very helpful staff as well.

Terrific service, great variety. SHOP HERE if you want expert advice, well stocked merchandise and support local shops. Beats chain stores and on-line shopping. Because Amazon wont be there for you if you run out of cadmium orange in the middle of a canvas, but these guys have your back. Ask about pro/student discounts+monthly email for regulars discounts.

I go through Canson Mixed Media sketchpads like water, so I have to get them at Walmart since that way I can buy more than one.That aside, I DO love how they have ALL sizes of the Prismacolor ink pens in my size (08)s. And the vast amount of my new favourite brand’s colours (Faber-Castell).

Small and a bit pricey, but really nice selection of painting supplies. Went to pickup some oil colors and they had everything I was looking for. Also picked up some canvas, they had many a lot of stretched canvas. However the canvas board type were limited to smaller sizes, could have been there when inventory was a bit low. Looks like they are connected to a box/wine box, create store but I didn’t have the time to look on that side. May be technically another business although I think I can enter from the art supply side.I am glad to have this type of targeted store in business, rather than go to Michael’s or other Mega-or Super-store and talk to someone who may not know much about the specific painting supplies I’m looking for.By the Wine Train tracks on California off of Trancas so conveniently close to the highway exit.
