OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND HELP DURING A VERY TRYING TIME!A driver blew through a red light and t-boned my daughter as she was in the middle of making a left turn. Luckily, she was unharmed, but our brand new 2022 Subaru Outback was demolished. Our insurance company wanted to send it to one of their preferred body shops, but being so new, (it had less than 800 miles on it!), I chose instead to have it towed to Gerald. In the end, that turned out to be a wise decision.We were treated with respect and professionalism from the very first moment. Three times a week, I would get a phone call from Izzy detailing the latest updates, (whether there were any or not, she always called to keep me in the loop). Once they were able to take apart the car and examine the extent of the damage, I was given a comprehensive report meticulously detailing every repair needed in order to fix my car, including sending the car back to the dealership so they could remove the engine to discover the source of an unidentified leak. At this point, the insurance refused to spend the money for this needed step, and the car say there for two weeks while they, (the insurance company) pondered what to do next.The shops manager Angel, as well as members of his staff, spent many hours on phone and Zoom calls trying to explain to our insurance that in their professional opinion, the car should be totaled. The claims adjuster stubbornly thought otherwise. They clearly spelled out not only the extent of the damage, but the length of time the repairs would take, not to mention the potential of not being able to find all of the replacements parts, given how new the car was. The insurance held tight, meaning they did nothing for a prolonged time.Insurance provided us with a rental car, but only for thirty days, and because they continued to drag their heels for so long, our thirty days were eventually up, and we were suddenly in desperate need of a car. This is when Gerald in my eyes really stepped up and helped us. Angel offered us a loaner, at no cost, for as long as we wanted it. Who knew that the body shop would be more helpful to us than the insurance company wed been paying premiums to every month?Finally, after another couple weeks, our case was escalated within the insurance company, and the claim was in fact settled as a total.Gerald stood to make a lot of money if they simply said the car could be repaired, but rather than take the money and give the customer a virtually rebuilt version of a brand new car, they chose t do what was best for the customer and insist on deeming it a total.Hopefully, I will never find myself in the position of needing a body shop again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to send it to Gerald Collision Center in Naperville. When you consider that all of this happened during a pandemic, a labor shortage, and an auto mechanics strike, it makes their level of service only more impressive.Thank you to each and every one of you!
Angel and his team at Gerald Collision Center did an awesome job on my 2011 Honda Fit Sport. My car is silver and that is not an easy paint color to make match. I had dents repaired on the hood, body and rear hatch had a dent with rust showing. Both my bumpers were in bad shape and I also had them replace the headlights with after market lights I got on my own. The car looks brand new again. They did an perfect job and I would highly recommend you bring your car here. The service center is the old Subaru dealership location and it is very clean. Not your typical messy body shop. Angel is very professional and they kept me updated with emails and texts during the entire process. He did a great job giving me an initial quote and the final invoice matched with the initial quote so no surprises when I went to pick it up. They have good people working here and very skilled workers. My daughters car never looked better. Trust your hard earned money here at this body shop. There is also a PDR in the same building owned by another business so this is a perfect location if you want to get your car looking like new again.
Very pleased with the service. Called and spoke with Angel initially. Wanted to bring my car in for repair due to an auto accident. Angel got me right in. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Very efficient and kind staff. They kept in touch with me during the duration of repairs. Highly recommend this center. My car looks great!!!!!! Had a fantastic experience at Gerald Collision Center!! I had concerns about my quote given to me over email (which is a great way to get a fast estimate). but because of my concern they requested, if I had time, to come to the shop so Angel (GM) could see the car in person. I did just that and all Angel wanted to do was to take care of me and my car. His team was able to buff out the scratches with no cost to me!! Excellent service and customer care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Angel made a few calls to ensure I got the best pricing on my parts being as I was paying out of pocket. The coffee maker offered hot chocolate for my kids. I hope to not be in this situation again, but if it be I will be going back to Gerald Collision.MY CAR IS SO CLEAN!!!!

Disappointed. The repair was rust and they did tell me previous that they do not do rust repairs. However they were not truthful in their evaluation of the rusted area. They could gave been nicer.However,The service department in Aurora is excellent and staff always treat you with respect. Its not what you say to the customer, its how you say it. Just saying.
Recently replaced my rear bumper on a 2020 Subaru Forrester and everything looks great so far. They kept me updated via text message on progress and did the repairs in a timely manner. Would definitely come back if I need any more work done.

She has a pretty good memory as well and is very attentive and professional. I also noticed that even though she’s working on her computer. First off everyone is AMAZING! I had a horrific experience with my insurance and the collision center ended up having my car for almost 2 weeks. They worked and fought for what was right for my car to make sure everything was done properly. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who needs collision service to come here. WORST EXPERIENCE!!!I was involved in a major car accident. I own a 2017 Nissan Altima. I wasnt sure which repair shop to go with so I contacted my salesperson at Gerald Nissan. I was told Gerald collision center of Naperville would have my vehicle looking like the day I drove it off the lot. My insurance company was billed 10k. I got a botched patch job. When I expressed I was unsatisfied with the final outcome, I was blown off and still have not received any cooperation to get this resolved. I was told its done come pick it up. The back lights are not flush with the car. The lights were smeared with paint. the paint on the vehicle has debree. The after market parts dont fit the car. Dont trust this company with your car. I made the mistake of thinking the dealerships collision center would be best and it definitely is not. If I can attach pictures I will.
I am extremely happy with the people here. I worked with both alex and angel and recieved top notch customer service from both. After what started as a difficult interaction on my part alex remained polite, calm and 100% professional while doing her best to address my concerns. In the end they met and exceeded what i would expect from a quality body shop and business! 100% would allow my van to be sent here again if needed.

I had door repaired due to a rust issue. I initially met Angel who came out and to see the area in need of repair. He went over what needed to be done, what I should expect and he assured me I’d be happy with the repair.During the repair, I was kept updated on the progress. Any questions I had were answered promptly and professionally.The repair turned out better that I had expected. Not only was the paint and body work done on an exceptional level, the car was clean and dust free. Outstanding level of professional quality workmanship.The team at Gerald is very different from any other place I’ve ever been to. It’s noticeable the minute you walk in the door. I got into a car accident and, while State Farm stated Gerald wasn’t an authorized Auto Shop, the two work closely together on a daily basis. I had no trouble approving an Estimate or a Supplemental using Gerald CollisionAdditionally, Gerald Collision was very thorough. They updated me on my car’s status every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.Finally, last but not least, when State Farm stopped paying for my rental car Gerald Collision just gave me a loner vehicle free of charge!My experience here was amazing and I highly recommend Gerald Subaru and Gerald Collision Center

I was very surprised with the experience I had after reviews the reviews.. I was expecting to be updated on Wednesdays and Fridays on the progress of my car.. I did not receive, I had to call in a few times to see what was going on.. The process of fixing my car was a bit lengthy. Before agreeing to have Kia work on my car I had asked two questions specifically and these were both answered.. but I was lied to and they did not commit to what they had originally told me. They did allow me to have a loaner vehicle while my car was getting fixed. The car had not been cleaned as there were muddy footprint in the backseat and on the passenger and driver side door. There was also spilled liquid in the cup holder, and it was just dirty. So after waiting about 2.5 weeks I decided to go back online and look at the reviews again to realize that most of the reviews that are posted are by people that are giving five stars but have only left a review for this place.. which seems kind of strange. After getting my car back, I noticed there are scratches and paint issues in the new parts that were replaced. And now my car is two different colors and it is very noticeable that they didn’t even try to blend it in or try to match the color. Def will be going elsewhere for my car needs in the future.. I will say, the production manager is extremely nice, cannot say the same for the overall manager. He was very condescending and aggressive.

I was involved in my first accident and the dealership said they were partners. This place made every step incredibly simple and they explained everything perfectly and brought my mind to ease. They provided a free loaner for the almost 3 week duration of repairs. Throughout the entire process they fought with my insurance to make sure I was receiving quality parts and new ones at that. Once everything was done they went out of their way to make sure I would be pleased with the repairs and the manager even attended to a few things that I noted. There is no place else I would ever take my car in for body work, this is it.

I was referred here by my friends at Auto Glass Masters in Westmont (also amazing). Wow what can I say. Customer service was the best I’ve seen of any business in a long time. Alex helped me get checked in and informed me she would contact me with updates on Mondays, Wednesday’s, and Fridays. I was glad to hear this, but she took a step further to take time to ask how I preferred to be contacted, text, phone call, or email. This blew me away as very few people give this little extra step. She did in fact have someone reach out to me on each on of those days and actually completed our rear bumper repair a day ahead of schedule. She also helped out with explaining the rental car situation that we had and any issues with the insurance she actually called to clear things up instead of just telling me what to tell the insurance company. They took really good care of my 2017 Subaru WRX it looks like new again the body lines and paint matches very nicely. Whoever worked on my car did a nice job and took pride in their work.The customer service was also very good they kept me updated on my car every other day and gave a accurate time frame of when my car would be done.
This place goes above and beyond what’s expected of them. My van got hit and couldn’t drive due to my mirror being broken. They couldn’t get me in right away so they ordered me a mirror and got it in my car so I could drive it in the meantime. They weren’t part of my insurance plan but chose them because they did just great work in the past. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This shop is amazing. They are extremely skilled at what they do and gave me a great price. I came here off a recommendation and was not disappointed at all. I was surprised by how great a deal they gave me to fix multiple dents in my car. When they were done my 2010 basically looked brand new again. I’m so glad I came here!

They did an excellent job fixing the body and trim of my car. They followed CDC guidelines regarding COBID19. The message they sent me regarding the progress of the work done on my car was clear. The receptionist was very professional and polite. The car was clean when they returned it to me . They worked with my insurance company without any hustle for me. COVID and not COBID.

2 month old 2019 Forester was hit while parked, 10k in damage... it was horrible.. Alex, Lindsey and Angel were a great team to work with and they got the rather large and involved repair taken care of with no issue or hassles. They had an update call every other day on progress and they worked with the insurance company to get additional damage covered with no problems. Thanks for a great experience.
Gerald Collision took awesome care in fixing our Forester. We chose them because they were the only Subaru-certified body shop in the area. However, I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else after the great experience we had working with them. Alex and Lindsey kept us updated and went to bat for us when dealing with insurance. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Brought my 370z in to get rear suspension done, air bags replaced, seat, tires and wheels replaced, and a whole bunch of other work done from an accident. Everything came out great and cant even tell it was in an accident. I highly recommend them for any future work if needed.

I had two accidents in a span of ten days. Two different insurance companies and very different damage. Gerald coordinated everything between the two claims. I received several updates every week on the status of my repairs. The staff was very nice, and answered any and all of my questions. Hopefully I wont need another repair in the future, but if I do, Ill be sure to use Gerald Collision again!

This is the second time we have used Gerald Collision Center. First was about 10+ years ago for our Nissan Pathfinder, and this time for a Blue Hyundai Elantra. The Elantra was hit on the side while parked and received some pretty severe damage. I picked up the car today after repair and it is like brand spanking new! Well, it IS brand spanking new with 500 miles on the odometer.Many thanks to the manager Angel Santiago and Alex Eastman in customer service to make the whole process a breeze. I literally dropped the car off and picked it up. All work with the insurance company was handled entirely by them, and was done very efficiently. They got the insurance to agree to and pay for all supplements to ensure the job was done right. And my thanks to their skilled technicians of course who did the repairs.All in all, a 5 star facility and I can highly recommend them. Thanks again guys. My son is very happy to get his car back.

Gerald Collision Center delivered my 2016 Subaru Outback, on schedule at the cost they quoted to my insurance carrier, with superior quality workmanship! I needed roof repaid because of a garage door accident, and they not only smoothed out the roof an buffed the finish on my roof rack, but also negotiated a hefty cash settlement to me from my insurance to cover the paint smears that did not respond to buffing!Plus, they saw a few dings around the car they could mend and did so at no charge to me! Gerald Collision Center is terrific in customer service and employs honest, trustworthy and reliable staff and mechanics!I even damaged their loaner car and they still treated me like I was their favorite customer! I highly recommend them for quality work at a fair price, delivered better than promised send!
I recently had my daughters new Subaru serviced there (sheet metal damaged/scratched by another vehicle). The estimate/quote process was fast, thorough and explained clearly... The repair was completed on-time as estimated/promised, their workmanship seemed flawless with every OEM accessories reinstalled and trims replaced accordingly; plus the car was returned to me in clean condition as well as clear instruction on how to care for the newly painted surface... I highly recommend to give this store a try if you ever needed one - hopefully never, but its there.
2 weeks after taking home a brand new Sorento with barely 400 miles driven, we got rear ended. Super frustrating experience being that its brand new.While theres plenty of body shops close to home, we decided to drive 35+ miles to Gerald and put our trust in them based on reviews weve read. And our time investment paid off.I wanted to avoid the insurance shop and go with a shop that would advocate for us and fight to get us the best parts/service, being that our car is brand new. Example of that... they re-ordered a skid plate that came in scratched (something I probably would have never seen). They kept me informed daily and would answer my emails pretty much within a few minutes.After getting our car back, Ive spent some time trying to look for imperfections and cant find any. Were very happy with the results. Car is good as new.Ive only met Alex & Lindsey and theyve been great in answering all my questions (and I had so many). Lindsey diffused my initial stress and provided some great reassurance. I wish I met more of the staff so I can thank them.Im hoping I never have to see them again (in this scenario at least) but its nice to know Gerald is out there. Gerald did an excellent job repairing my vehicle which consisted of replacing my rear bumper as a result of being rear ended at a stop light. The damage was not extensive and it was not a bad accident. Because I was working through the other person’s insurance company, I first had to go to Gerald for them to provide the insurance company with a pre-estimate on the cost of repairs. They cautioned me that when they take off the bumper they could discover other issues. Sure enough this is what happened. As a result, my car was in for repairs a total of 8 days or 7.5 working days since they’re open half days on Saturday. It seemed like a long time given I hadn’t incurred extensive damage. I kept thinking if the car had been in a serious wreck that they would have taken far longer. That’s my only issue. The people are very professional and the work is excellent.
Gerald Collision has been excellent for me with my car both times I’ve called on them. I have a Genesis G80 Sport with a custom paint job. I was nervous the first time they had to work on my bumper and needless to say no one else will be working on my car’s body work. Their customer service is exactly what you’d expect from a top flight organization.
The process for getting my car repaired after a fender bender could not have been easier than it was with Gerald Collision Center. I felt well cared for as soon as I walked through the door. Service was quick and they even arranged for the rental car through my insurance on site.
Very pleased with the service that we received from Gerald Collision. We brought our vehicle to Gerald in June 2017 for repairs to the lift gate. A year after the dent was repaired, the paint over the repair cracked. After the following winter, the metalwork done on the repair started to lift up. We brought the vehicle into the shop in May 2019 since there is a limited lifetime warranty on metalwork repairs. The body shop manager, Angel Santiago, looked at the lift gate and reviewed our file. He told us that the lift gate should not have been repaired, but in fact replaced due to the nature of the damage. Mr. Santiago could have honored the warranty by again repairing the lift gate, which would have left us with the same problem in a few years, instead he replaced it, doing what should have been done in the first place. Excellent customer service, period.
Unfortunately, after having my 2019 Subaru Forester for only 3 months, I was rear ended causing a significant amount of damage. Gerald Collision (specifically Angel, Alex, and Nick) fought to do what was best for the car and best for me while State Farm dragged the whole thing out far too long. In the end, the insurance totaled the car out. I can’t thank these guys enough and recommend them to anyone!!! Seriously, if you are ever in an accident, take your vehicle here and I assure you they will take care of it as it were their own! 😊
Gerald did an outstanding job repairing a damaged bumper. They went above and beyond by also repairing a scratch at no additional charge. They also stand behind their work. When rust appeared 5 years after a repair they performed on another of my cars they fixed it with no questions.

I had a great experience here. I would never take my car anywhere else for repairs EVERRRR. I was worried about the paint not matching up because I have a really weird color grey THATS HARD TO MATCH. Seems like I have similar poor experiences to other customers. I brought in an Outback a few months back. In fairness to Gerald, this was rework on poor work done by Roto. Well, after 4 attempts to get the car fixed, the only solution they were able to provide is to sell me a new car. Good deal, but what a shame that they couldnt fix it. This brings me to my Legacy that I brought in right after. Simple job on this one, just new mud flap and fixing some dents. Well, they managed to return my car to me smelling like mildew and then then the mud flap got loose. I bring it back for re-work. They fix the mud flap but the car smells worse. Quality control here are non-existent.
