Love supporting small business. This is my go to if I need help determining while bolt or screw, if I need a tool sharpened, or any other personal attention that I cant get in a big box store. I also enjoy buying my spring plants here. Great family owned business, friendly, service oriented.

Variety of household items at the Ace Hone Center makes it an interesting shopping experienceZ besides finding a bag of mulch, you can get a birthday card in case you forgot it was your wife’s birthday!They carry Magnolia items here as well.

Put in an order for a lawn mower kit (lawn mower, battery, and charger). I charged it to my card thinking I would be picking it up the same day since online it was listed in stock for same-day pickup. Never got an email confirmation to pick it up. Called the next day to check the status of my order and an associate said I could come in and they would pull the order for me. I sent my husband into the store that night and they said the item was not available for pickup until June 2nd. When asking why they listed in stock, they tried to sell us the item on display. Nobody wants to buy the item on display unless it is for a discount. It was being sold to us for the same price so we declined. It is June 2nd and I still dont have my lawn mower kit. And I couldnt even cancel my order because it was processing, so I still have to go to their store to pick it up. Very dissatisfied with their service!

The sales staff are very knowledgeable and willing to help. You can buy just one screw instead of a whole pack. They have a nice collection of Hallmark cards, too.

Disappointing experience with them. Left a window with them in first week of August to have broken glass pane replaced. Heard nothing for 5 weeks. Went into store today, asked about status. Man at service desk pointed to a printed notice on the desktop stating that they do not repair glass windows, effective August 14, and they dont have anything in the store. I show him my claim stub, tell him that I brought in the window before Aug 14. He disappears for 10 minutes, comes back and tells me that he spoke with store manager, and my broken window can be picked up in the front of the store. Both he and the store manager told me that everybody that had jobs in the store on Aug 14 had been called and notified that their glass replacement services had been terminated. Well, that is a tough claim to uphold in the era of personal cell phones that record messages. Sooo, I lost 4 weeks in my task of getting the window repaired - - had to drive over to Buikemas Ace, my new home store. Hopefully will have the window back before the temperatures drop. Pretty shabby customer service and follow through.

Any time I have been in here, I have had a great experience. The staff is always quite knowledgeable and helpful. There always is a staff member willing to help. Their paint sections are overall pretty awesome. Its relatively clean (as clean as possible for a home improvement center). Overall one of the best home improvement places! But you should post the holiday hours more clearly. Thank You for having such a nice store!

I came to Douglas Ace Home Center looking for some PVC pipe. I found the exact size I needed and was very impressive. The attendant was very helpful and really assisted me to get the correct size that I needed. Their store is highly stocked with every hardware items needed. I was very grateful for their impressive services and will not hesitate to recommend.

Your solid neighborhood hardware store, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and most of the things you need youll find there, from a pair of pliers to bird seed. They also offer a number of other useful services like matching paint color, tool sharpening, and fixing bug screens. Their prices wont beat those at Home Depot, for example, but the location is definitely convenient!

Love Douglas Ace Hardware. The employees are always super helpful and they have answered all of my questions. Even if they dont have the exact part needed, which rarely happens, they strive to help identify a possible replacement or a suitable work around.

I go here at least 2 time a week for the nut and bolt .they have a great hardware section .. and the staff come to you for help..not like the big home depot were you cant find anyone ..

What I really like about this hardware are the people who really know their inventory and what to do with the items. If you have a question about a particular use of an item, there will be a person on the floor with an answer. Contrast this against the big box stores where help is available, but most often is limited to showing you what aisle something is located in.The store is well stocked and you will find what you need. Rarely have I come away empty handed because they did not carry something. Also, always check out the discount boxes for items that you may only need a cheaper version of a tool or such.

Incredibly insulted by the staff here. Was asked several times by the same staff members if I needed help and I tried to say no. I make a lot of art pieces and usually have no trouble finding what I need, and I peruse around the store looking for things for my sculptures. Apparently, a teenage girl not needing help in an ace is ‘suspicious’ and was cornered in the store and followed, and approached by staff saying I ‘looked like I was going to steal something’. I’m sorry you don’t know many 19 year old girls who know their way around metal wires and power tools, but try not to profile your customers. Thanks.

I drove out of my way to pick up a shut off valve because their website said they have it in stock. the associate who works there literally told me that they dont carry that brand in store but the website lies and says they do about many products just to get customers in the store. Never shopping at ace hardware ever again.

When a hallmark ornament was only left on display a staff member quickly removed it from display and carefully put it in the correct box. Our 40 years of collecting these will continue. Thank you ACE

This is the only hardware store that I will go to. Its a little farther than some of the other ones, but its so worth the customer service. They are kind, considerate, patient, and very helpful in making decisions for everything that I need to do in my house!

Supposed to be open until 9pm. Showed up at 8:20 door locked and lights off. No wonder everyone goes to Home Depot. Tried to give the local guy some business. I guess business isnt that important. Tried to call before I went but no-one answered the phone.

We had issues starting our lawn mower this season and went to Ace with not a clue on how to fix it. Rich was extremely helpful! He even let us bring in our mower and was able to tell us exactly what was wrong with it. Thank you for the GREAT customer service!

A Sunday afternoon field trip to one of my favorite places.Todays mission ~ replacing our BBQ grill (our old one had a slight mishap last week) They carry the full line of Weber grills and a few of other brands. For those of us without the assembly required gene, they do offer FREE assembly. Bill, the salesperson helping us, asked when we needed it and my in about 2 hours, we have company coming response almost required a call to 911. The place was very busy.So, my fully assembled grill will be delivered during the week.This is a great hardware store with very friendly employees and if they did not have what I needed on hand, they have ordered it and I have it within days. And dont forget your rewards card.

Its like stepping back into an 80s hardware store! Some of the products had packaging that looked to be about 30+ years old too. My husband thought he could get information from an associate, but the guy had no clue how to help. I have no idea how they stay in business and in competition with the big box stores! I kinda feel sad for them. Id like to see a mom n pop store stay around, but unfortunately we didnt get what we needed from them...

Great help, very helpful. Didnt know what type of replacement valve I needed for my toilet, but as soon as I showed the picture in my cell phone, the employee was able to give me the correct one.

I like to buy locally and usually find a great help from people working inside. The store hires boys to help outside for weekends and they try to do the best. First time I tried to buy organic soil during weekdays and was very disappointed. The guy throughed bags without even little thinking that when I came home they were all over the car. And he even did not close the backdoor so if I did not pay attention I would lose all these bags on the way home. When I complained to the cassier she said that most people help and close doors themself. Really?I would avoid this store until they apologize and train their personnel properly. I saw other negative reviews for the last weeks and no owners apologies.

Was just there b/c my wife and kids had to get something at Marianos. When I got home I realized Ace over-charged me. I called. They have no way to send gift certificates via email or some other recourse (?) but to physically return/refund the difference?DO NOT GO. THEY MAY OVERCHARGE you as they admitted it happens not infrequently that prices listed on the shelves do not match the prices at the register - what?DO YOU EXPECT ME TO keep checking each purchase?Bad customer service/relations at best, crooks at worst?
