Wanted to take my kids for a treat. When you walk in you notice the space is super clean and spacious. Workers are super welcoming and friendly and helpful they truly make you feel very valuable, so many wonderful variety to chose from, tried their ice cream my daughter ordered the Carmel Frappe and brownies. everything tasted AMAZING!!! You know it’s Delicious when your kids want their birthday cake to be made by them, my kids left with a big smile on their face!! Definitely recommend also will be trying for so many events in the future

Im used to walking into a bakery and picking a cake the day of an event( family birthdays, dinner with friends, thanksgiving). To my surprise, none of the bakeries I called with high ratings in Naperville could offer me a cake, they all said I had to call a week or two in advance!Whatttttt for a 6 inch or 8 inch cake? Are you serious?Well, Smallcakes offered me a custom cake within 24 hours. Not only did they offer to make a custom 8 inch cake, they listened to my mothers likes and dislikes and came up with an original combination that wasnt offered on the menu to suit my mothers tastes.When I arrived, they were still decorating my cake so they offered me a seat, offered me coffee, the woman who took my order came out to meet me.While I waited, I strolled over to the hundred boxes or so of orders waiting to be wrapped and picked up by other clients and I saw all sorts of character cakes and cupcakes( Roblox, Frozen, Ballerinas, Princess, etc). All professionally done.The standard of customer service here is outstanding.If youre in Naperville and have a chance to come through here, I highly recommend it.I will update with photos of the cake and taste.Update: my mom loved this cake, the cake itself was fluffy and moist. The frosting was not overly coconut. It was a perfect balance of vanilla bean, coconut buttercream and flakes. delicious and wonderful!!!!! The decoration was beautiful. This cake saved the night because the restaurant messed up the birthday dinner (look out for that review on a well known seafood restaurant)🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. I ordered a simple chocolate cake with a thin layer of chocolate buttercream, and they gave me almost exactly what I asked for, except for the cookies and cream filling which I didnt asked nor did I like. Other than that the cake was very moist and tasty.

So, I never ever write reviews. I had to literally make an account to write this review. Today, I wanted to call the police on this cupcakery. Because they HAVE to be putting crack in these cupcakes. They are ALWAYS so good. 10/10 every single time. I just hope I am able to pass my drug screenings.

I highly recommend using Smallcakes for your wedding! Jill and her team were friendly and made sure everything was perfect for our day. They were quick to answer questions and made the process so easy. We knew we wanted cupcakes at our reception and we have not stopped receiving compliments since our July date. Everyone loved that there were many delicious flavors to choose from and that we had a gluten free option as well. About a week before our wedding, my husband said that he also wanted us to have a small cake for us to cut for pictures and for our head table. Jill accommodated this request and designed the cake to look exactly how we wanted. The price for delivery, set up, cupcakes, and our small wedding cake was super reasonable. With everything combined, it was still significantly less expensive than if we would have chosen to have dessert provided from our reception venue. We also had a mix up and forgot to grab the cupcake stand that we had borrowed from Smallcakes at the end of our reception. Not only did Jill assure me that it was okay, but she offered to pick up the stand at our venue. We cannot recommend Smallcakes enough!

Gluten free cupcakes are available on Fridays and Saturday’s with a variety of flavors.The gluten free cupcake was SOOOOOO MOIST!!!!Regular baked goods are delicious as well but not cloying which is great! I had an eclair with Bavarian crepe and it didn’t taste like I was eating a mouthful of sugar.Their new location is clean and comfortably decorated with a mixture of comfy fabric chairs and simple seating. Most importantly, it’s nice and clean.Service with a smile all around.Great place for something sweet if you have a sweet tooth or teeth!

Chocolate cream is the by far the best cupcake I had at a cupcakery. I love the way it reminds me of a hostess. It is nostalgic and perfectly creamy. I don’t usually go for chocolate cake and I come back continuously for the chocolate cream ones. I enjoy the red velvet as well as their cheesecake! It is delicious! So many delicious flavors to try! Price is about 4 dollars for a giant cupcakes so while it seemed crazy when I first walked in by the time I left it seemed reasonable.

I will come here more often once I start working out again!Some cupcake shops have great icing and mediocre cake, or vice versa.Not this place! They have really good cake AND great icing! My favorite flavors are the more vanilla ones, as well as their everyday Wedding Cake flavor! (almond cake)

I was meeting a friend with our children for an early morning coffee and breakfast. We arrived around 9am. They only had one breakfast sandwich that wasnt even listed on the menu and no single donuts. They came out way after we ordered. So I ended up buying a donut and ice cream skillet which we all shared. It was a lot! Our breakfast sandwich was tasty and so was the donut skillet. We both bought a latte and we both enjoyed them. Service was good and very friendly. Overall, I will be back. Only 4 stars due to lack of choices for non sweet breakfast choices. Other than that Yummy!

Decadent is an understatement. Creamy, smooth caramel frappe with homemade whipped cream. I also ordered two cupcakes - one cookies and cream, one vanilla chocolate. They were honestly the best cupcakes I’ve had apart from Jilly’s cupcakes in STL. Prices are reasonable for the quality, the atmosphere is very inviting. Perfect place to study with a group or catch up with friends. The employees are super bubbly. 10/10 highly recommend

Everything Ive ever gotten from here is sooooooo good. I always swing by for bigger orders since the cakes go so fast. The staff are very thoughtful and kind. They always have good suggestions about what people might like when I tell them Im getting them a cupcake from there for the first time. Every time, the person Ive brought a cupcake to has thoroughly enjoyed the treat. My favorite is that they have pupcakes as well which are dog safe cupcakes. Our dogs love them, and they know the box. I highly recommend the carrot cupcake, too. Its so good and easily my favorite.

Great store. Amazing cupcakes. They are seriously huge. Dont come here if youre not ready to eat. They even have mini versions of them and ones for your doggos so they dont feel left out. I got the cupcake smash when I came and it was perfect. A great mix of ice cream and cupcake. I would suggest trying to come closer to the morning when the cupcakes are more fresh. The cupcakes are on the more expensive side though at $3.75 for 1, this place is more like an occasional treat than a everyday stop.Also, the only downside is that there is no seating at all in the store. It seems to be more of a grab and go place and we had to sit at the Starbucks across the street to devour it. (You could also sit in your car or on the curb).

I ordered the unicorn cake from here for my daughters 3rd birthday party and everyone raved about it! They decorated our cake perfectly and it tasted delicious! It looked so similar to the picture that I provided. As usual, the cupcakes were great and the staff at this location are friendly.

I cant say enough good things about this place. To start off, they have the most fantastic way of doing cake tastings. As two workaholics, being able to pick up a box of minis and do the tasting at home on our own time...I cant begin to describe how convenient and stress free that is. The cupcakes themselves are delicious! Its so hard to choose flavors! Jill was absolutely amazing to work with and so accommodating! Everything was delivered to the restaurant before we even got there. We chose six different flavors of minis, so everyone found something they liked and EVERYONE was asking where we got them. Thank you so much for helping to make our reception wonderful!

These cupcakes are the best ive ever tasted. They are beautifully presented in a very nice box. Very friendly and professional staff. Ive tasted cupcakes all over the place and these are well worth the trip from any distance around. The cream is sweet and fresh. The cake is soft and super fresh and tasty. These were for someone who gained their citizenship and thats why they have US flags on them. Very nice presentation. Will definitely be going back and trying some more. Very highly recommended. Reasonably priced,they are sooooo good i wouldnt even bother about the cost anyway. Hurry up and try some before its too late LOL

Very disappointed with the quality of food. One of the cupcake had strange bitter taste. I had to toss it. For rest of the cupcakes, cake layer was okay but all the frostings were overly sweet. Ice cream had bitterly sour after taste. Never again.

I ordered a half dozen of cupcakes and when I received them it was hair in the icing 🧁. I reached out and they told me I was lying bad service. Cupcake was great till I seen the hair .

They responded quite quickly and within a few sentences it was done.It was absolutely perfect for my babies 2nd birthday party!! They did one special one for him to have a candle in.Everyone LOVED them and I for once didnt have any left over for just me to eat! (Good and bad of course haha.)Highly recommend!!! I came to Smallcakes on Saturday afternoon. I was greeted when I walked in and the place smelled so good! The worker was very helpful with explaining what was in the cupcakes. They even have gluten free options for those that prefer gluten free. They are very talented with the presentation of their cupcakes as well. I also can’t forget to add they’re very reasonably priced. I purchased 3 cupcakes. 2 cookie monsters and one cookies n cream. The taste is so good and it’s very fresh. Very rich as well so it fills you up. I will definitely be back here for my college going away cake as well as my birthday cake. First but for sure not last experience here!

Great cup cakes and other goodies.

We LOVE Smallcakes.We used them for an October wedding. The tasting was so amazing, we got to try 12 different flavors of mini cupcakes (and loved them all) and chose 4 to have at our reception. They made delivery super easy and used our cake stand for the 8in cake we bought from them as well. The cupcakes and cake were amazing and I would definitely order from them again for any event, or suggest them to friends and family!

The bakery I frequented closed. I decided to give Smallcakes a try after my son saw it from the road. I ordered a vanilla cake with whipped cream and strawberries. The cake was soft and delicious. The additional cupcakes were great and not overly loaded with frosting. My only wish is that they couldve put the strawberries in between the layers as my daughter likes.

This is the best small cakes. I have used them for several occasions. I have bought custom cakes and cupcakes for several years and for several occasions. The quality, prices and overall service of this place is the best. I have yet to find a better cupcake/cake place and the price is very affordable. I’ve tried other places and they don’t compare. They do a way better job then bakeries who specialize in speciality/custom cakes.

Cake was suppose to be ready by 1pm but when I arrived it wasnt ready and had to wait an extra 30 minutes almost and hour. The cake itself was was done the way I asked but they covered the picture I asked to be put on the cake in icing so the picture could barely be seen. Not sure if i will continue my business with this small cakes location.

I love small cakes. i love cupcakes. this is so amazing. it tastes so good. it should really be open later though because sometimes i go and it is closed and that makes me really really sad and not happy at all so i think that if it was open for longer it would be better because then i could get cupcakes later and later in the night and that would make me really happy and not make me sad anymore

Small cakes is amazing. We went there a few times when they had the smaller store, and loved the icecream cupcake combo they call the smash (I think). The new location has so much more space. The cupcakes are so good and they cater. I know next time I need something for a party, Ill be going there.

I am from chicago. I drive 45 minutes to get cupcakes or cake from them. I ordered my gender rev cupcakes, baby shower cake and recently, ordered my daughter 1st birthday cake. The customer service is great. The shop is very nice, their cupcakes and cakes are delightful. The best thus far. The customer service and products are both great. I definitely recommend

We opted for mini cupcakes (regular & GF) at our wedding reception and they turned out amazing! Jill was very responsive and great to work with throughout the whole process. The cupcakes were delivered timely and displayed beautifully. Our guests loved having all of the different flavors...we received compliments on all of them!

We liked them so much we had them at our wedding. They did an absolutely incredible job. We got a lot of compliments on the cupcakes. The owners are very friendly and great to work with. They recently added ice cream to their menu. The butter pecan ice cream is awesome!

Love this place. I won 60 free cupcakes at a benefit and about 2 weeks later drove up to pick up 12 and they were fabulous. Loved them so much that we are gonna have the other 48 for my baby shower. I am so excited. :)

Ive never really gone to a cupcake shop and Im impressed by the quality in the treats and that they have ice cream. My son and I really enjoyed our first visit. Did not disappoint.

In some other reviews I’ve posted about cupcake joints I’ve said I just don’t get the attraction. I GET Smallcakes!They’re a good size and they don’t skimp on the filling. One doesn’t lead to 2 or 3 because I’m more than satisfied, especially because of their great flavors.We will be back and also ordering for parties.

I have been a happy customer for over a year and have ordered many times due to the equal pricing with their gluten free cupcakes on Monday and Friday. They are all very nice to work with and when they recently got an order wrong with a gluten free cake they were very generous in their repayment of the cake and a bonus credit. They made beautiful cupcakes for my sons graduation this weekend and I have used them several times for marketing clients in my business and the cupcakes are always a big hit.

Very tasty, but more importantly, great customer service. I ordered special cupcakes for my nephew’s bday and they did not look like the picture online when I went to pick them up. They remade them on the spot and gave me a gift card. I still go there for “occasion” cupcakes, like Valentine’s Day and Super Bowl Sunday. The designs are so cute!

Simply the best. Their cupcakes are creative, beautiful, and delicious. Plus, they support Spay Illinois every year with donated cupcakes for their annual fundraiser. Basically, they are super high quality & support local non-profits, too.

Smallcakes was kind enough to deliver a few batches of cupcakes to the hospital I work at. Now, I promise you, I am not a cake/cupcake eater by any means. Theres just something about the texture and consistency about them that have made them not my favorite to go to sweet. BUT OH MY GOODNESS !!!!!!! The chocolate cupcake I had was SUPER moist, and rich without being too rich, and the frosting was creamy and thick without being too overpowering. Not only was the fact that they were kind enough to donate to the hospital enough for me to want to write a review, but seeing as this is the one cupcake Ive truly enjoyed in my life, I HAD to let yall know, you NEED to try this place !!!!!! Definitely going back there some day and will definitely order off of them for future parties.
