Yo I came in expecting the worst with my a/c compressor, it was just overfilled. Not only did they not charge me they also took the liberty to drain it for me and get it up in running. They also cleaned out my filter. Told me critical info also make sure u clean the debree out of your glove compartment. The dirt in there can be harmful to your system

I was told by another shop that there was a leak in my A/C condenser and I needed a new one. They charged me $159.00 for the diagnosis. Took my car to Modern Air Auto for a second opinion. They did a thorough inspection for the any leaks and could not find any issue.. Did not charge me for the service. If you have an A/C problem, take your car to Modern Air. They are honest and thorough and don’t charge for diagnosing the problem!

I called Modern Air today while driving back from Ft. Lauderdale in route back to my office in Sarasota while crossing Alligator Alley. I noticed after my truck had been idling for several hours while on a project that the air conditioning wasnt blowing as hard or as cool. While crossing the alley the air condition wasnt improving so I assumed the system needed recharging. I figured it would be too late when I made it to Sarasota and I have a busy day Thursday so maybe I could stop in Naples get the system recharged and I could just work in the waiting room while I waited. Ironically last year I took this truck to my Ford dealer three times last year and they could not find anything wrong with the AC system. So I called Modern Air and they could see me in 30 minutes and I was about that far away so the timing was perfect. They had my truck 5 minutes and came and told me the issue wasnt a lack of Freon or failing system just the compressor had frozen over. They turned on the heater and after 5 minutes the ice melted and we were back to normal. In defense of my Ford dealer I had always taken them the truck the next morning after this problem so it had an opportunity to defrost so that is why they never could find the problem. But these folks could not have been more professional and kind, they took me right in, gave me back the truck within 10 minutes and refused to let me pay them anything. They even let me hang out in the waiting room with my two big four legged employees. I admire an honorable business that is about doing the right thing. Since they would not allow me to pay them I had to write them a review, absolutely first class business.

Would definitely recommend Modern Auto Air -- fair estimate, went above and beyond the necessary repair but didnt charge any additional fees. So nice to find an honest vendor.

Went to Modern Air today Feb 11, 2020 at 8am and did not have an appointment. I explained to the gentlemen that’ my ac was making a very loud noise when I put fan on high. The gentlemen stated he would need about 30 minutes. I left my car and received a phone call approximatly 45 minutes later. They stated they found an acorn in the motor when they took it out. They said it was ready to be picked up, and did not charge me anything (free, nothing). I spoke with the owner and thanked him. I have takenThree of my cars to Modern Air over the last 20 years and have always gotten great service. Some places would of made up something and charged me a lot of money. Modern Air is honest, and I will continue to use this business. If your looking for great service and honest people, this is the place to go. Thanks Modern Air.

This review is embarrassingly 7 months late. I am a single women from out of state (Michigan) and my AC didnt work for a solid year. I was told by a place in Mi that ran an electrical check it was not simply fluid. I took my car to Modern with the expectation of a huge cost. Cant live here without Ac. Its crazy, but true. Diagnostic evaluation....missing FUSE! not only was I scammed in MI at a repair shop BUT MODEN found the issue, REPKACED THE FUSE AT NOT CHARGE. I apologize to Modern for taking so long but I came here for a family emergency and just got caught up with life! They rock! They are honest! They are local and get the highest bar in customer care! AAA rating from a customer that could have, would have been taken to the bank if not for their honesty! God bless good local businesss!!

Tanya was so helpful. Our a.c. was actually fine, it was an electrical problem and she went out of her way to contact a very reputable electrician who fixed the problem in a couple hours. Its a welcome experience to still find honest people who are more interested in service than making a quick buck. I would highly recommend this business.

Tonya was straight forward, honest and friendly. Repairs needed ended up costing less than anticipated. We had an additional leak after repairs were done, and they fixed that promptly as well. Would recommend to anyone who needs help with AC issues, hands down!!!

This is the up most professional people and business I have ever dealt with. My cars air conditioning was serviced by modern air. Months after the warranty had expired on the parts he still covered them. It caused me off surprise that he said that he would cover the expenses. I offered to pay and they declined. I would recommend this place to anybody. They are old school with modern hospitality. You couldnt find a bunch of more honest people in this age. Those are very hard to come by. If I ever have any more problems I will be the first one in line. Keep up the great work and thanks for being honest. You truly are very blessed and humble people.

My husband took my SUV to another place to look at my A/C and was quoted $1750. To fix a “broken line”. He then went to see Tonya and after the car was checked out, she showed him what the issue was and to bypass the bells and whistles on my car. The air works just fine now and Tonya refuses to take payment. We will be referring her to all our friends and when we really do need work, that’s our place.

Very honest people. I took my 1988 pick up truck for an ac checkup since the lines were freezing with ice. I thought it was low on freon, they advised that it was good on freon, but the thermostat was not functioning properly. Needless to say, the thermostat has been discontinued. However, Im pleased that they diagnosed the issue and did not charge me a penny. Thank you so much.

Good work at a fair price very friendly staff

My wifes BMW was having an intermittent cooling problem. Modern Air diagnosed the cause of the problem for free and provided a written cost estimate for the needed repair. They completed the repair on time, at the exact estimated cost and with a 12 months warranty. Further they asked that I come back before the end of the warranty period to be sure that the ac was still operating properly.This is what I consider great service, and I will certainly recommend them to anyone needing AC work.

Going anywhere else is just stupid. Hands down best experience in customer service. Honest and trustworthy. Im so happy i left a review..that says a lot because I never leave reviews.

We are new to the area and were having A/C problems. Not good in Summer in Florida. Read the reviews and stopped by. Tonya was so knowledgeable and friendly, called for a part for my 2004 Monte Carlo. Set up appointment for the next day. Finished on time and for lower than the estimate. Half the price quoted by the Chevy dealer in Baton Rouge. Highly recommend this business.

They have fixed several issues that other shops had said..good luck......go to the dealer, no one can fix that.Not true, they have fixed big to small, and I have taken at least 4 different cars to them. I thought the AC was a little weak or acting up on a 2007 Lincoln MKZ took it in for a checkup they ran it for a while they found nothing wrong with it no need to do any work on it no charge thank you very much great service great place to have your car looked at.
