I had a fantastic boat buying experience working with Neil at the Marco Island location. Neil and all of his staff that I interacted with were very friendly and knowledgeable. I am 58 years old and have been around boats all of my life and learned so many new things working with Neil. His knowledge of boats and boating is unsurpassed.

I recently decided that I was ready to buy a bay boat. After doing my research I went to Trapper Marine. These guys are friendly, helpful and they didnt pressure me at all. They are great to work with and I bought a boat from them and couldnt be happier! I highly recommend Trapper Marine.

I bought a Skeeter SX2250 at a great price from Jason and the experience was very enjoyable. He answered any question I had thoroughly during the order and build process. He has continued to be very helpful even after delivery.

Before I share my experience, I would like to state that this is not a representation of Trapper marine as a whole but solely my experience at Trapper marine in Marco island office only. I came in on August 15, 2018 to install a bow shield and to replace a broken stern light, I was dealing mostly with Laurie via email and she was easy to work with in obtaining the parts I needed for my boat. I was quoted (verbally) approximately $140 by Brian for the job including parts and labor the day I dropped it off. Things took a turn when I received the bill for $270, I disputed the bill because that is not what we agreed upon and I felt like I was getting taken advantage of, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else. At that point Laurie’s dimenor changed and all professionalism went out the window where she began to yell at me and call me a liar. Without saying a word Brian went in the computer and printed out a new bill for $176, and in a very condescending way I was told by Brian to “Never come back again”. For future customers, if you are ok with getting unreasonably billed up the wazoo and receive poor customer service then that’s the place for you, but if you work hard for your money and want to be treated fairly and with respect then I would go elsewhere. It’s unfortunate it had to go this way because I was looking forward to having Trapper marine as my main hub for all my maintenance and repair needs but after this experience I would not step foot in there nor will I recommend them to anyone.
