Having worked with Mike and his team multiple times now on our home, Ive been extremely satisfied with Tri State Kitchen. The communication has been great and there have no large change orders or price increases. We recently opened up a wall and extended our kitchen area/added windows/slider and new walls and floor... and it came out great.
Had our kitchen and lavcountertops replaced with granite. Result a totally awesome job. From start with Mary in sales,to Mike, Jack sand the most courteous group of installers. Professionally perfect. Thank you all! Brenda and Dave
I found Tri-State through google and there were not many reviews, so I figured I would give them a chance. I am absolutely glad that I did! Bill came out for the design and what he sent me, blew away anything I saw from my 4 other quotes. The attention to detail, the service, and professionalism is beyond 5 stars. Mike the owner, was very involved and made sure everything was always perfect. Mike has an excellent team and doesnt know how to say NO to any request. I hired Tri-state to build a kitchen and now view them as family.
Very helpful and excellent customer service. Thank you Denise!
TriState did our kitchen in August of 2019 – 6 months ago as of this writing. We have a 50” x 25” split ranch with a standard L-shaped kitchen. The job was to take out the old and replace it with “normal” cabinets. (A previous owner saw himself as “handy”. We didn’t.)Karen in Londonderry was very helpful in guiding us through the necessary decisions on style, color, composition. No pushing, no upselling, very clear about the options. And options they had. Once decided, everything came in about 3 weeks later and the job was scheduled. The job started exactly when stated. Aside from the kitchen disappearing, there was minimal disruption. All of the previous mistakes were corrected, new building standards applied, and everything installed very well. Only one hiccup and that was in a lighting fixture that had us all perplexed. It’s the 21st century – making lighting fixtures has been mastered, you’d think. The lighting store confirmed (to their surprise) that the fixture was bad and a new one was provided.Mike, the job manager, has his stuff together. In scoping our the job, he noted the problems and provided excellent advice for everything. Coordination was amazing. Completion was excellent. The job took 2 weeks, Monday to the next Friday – no weekend work. There was no redesign, no floor or wall work, just cabinets. The cost was just over 20K.We are still pinching ourselves. It’s the “same” kitchen but everything is perfect now. Yes, we do recommend TriState.
Horrible customer service and over priced! Go somewhere else
I recently did a remodel of my kitchen and used Tri-State Kitchens for my cabinets and countertops. I would summarize my experience as really great in many ways with a few caveats. I started my interaction with this company with Mary in sales and design. Mary was excellent. She responded to my many requests for changes and quotes very quickly and accurately. She was a big part of why I chose Tri-State. I simultaneous was working with Norfolk Kitchens and the person there almost never responded to my emails or calls. I quickly gave up on them. I finally ordered the kitchen (Kemper Echo cabinets) from Tri-State on Jan. 15 and as promised, it was ready 3-4 weeks later. This is the stage where some issues started to come up. I want to say upfront that many of these issues are probably not unusual and would occur with any supplier, but I only have this one experience to go on. The list: several of the cabinet doors and one of the shelves were warped; the drawers on the island did not line up with one another; a bearing on the wastebasket drawer was defective and noisy; a few areas of the finished edges were rough and chippy; the toe-kick trim pieces were the wrong color; A few drawers and cabinets were missing its soft close cushion piece; and the one that really blew my mind was that the granite stone piece that included the under mounted sink had the incorrect size sink hole cut out. This last one cant be something that normally happens. To top it off, the installers mounted the sink anyway even though it was obviously a mismatch. What I want to make very clear is that Jack (Tri-States service coordinator) and Bob (the main repairman) were very responsive the all the issues. They reordered all needed parts and got them corrected as soon as possible. Also, SelectStone, the company subcontracted by Tri-State to do the granite counters, removed the bad counter and had a new one cut and installed the next day. Fortunately, I am semi-retired and so the number of return trips by SelectStone and Tri-State was not an issue for me; working couples might have found this a bigger problem. So, unless I were to discover that all the issues I encountered were not fairly normal, I would definitely recommend Tri-State and would use them myself again. The initial service and the response to problems were outstanding.
