A person rammed into my bumper also causing me to run into the person in front of me. Gate city was incredibly timely an efficient with the repair to my vehicle. Very professional and courteous. If I ever have any issues again not doubt I will do business here.

This place is a class act. This was the second time Ive used them and both experiences were terrific. The people are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and highly skilled. Excellent service, friendly and professional, great customer service and communication. I was told my car would be ready in a week/week and a half, and it was ready in 4 days! Body work was perfect, and my car was super clean inside and out and smelled nice too! My family has always used Gate City for body work, and we would definitely recommend and use their services again.

The shop had my car 16 days longer than initially quoted. They did not communicate with me or my insurance company almost the entirety of the duration of service. I now have an $881.75 bill from the car rental place because they did not communicate with the insurance company or the rental place like they said they would. When we went over the repairs at time of pick up they couldnt adequately explain the work that was done and DEFINITELY couldnt explain the justification for having my vehicle for 22 days.

Before and after photo buffed out deep scratches on my brand new car. They gave me the option if I wanted to repaint for 1200. At the end of the day they did the quick buff job for free which I was surprised about! Not all about making a quick buck. Definitely see these people!

Paint match was pretty close, but the lack of attention to detail made it look amateur. I would have taken it back, but I didnt want to not have my car for another two weeks. I can see the tape lines in the clear coat at the seam where the bumper bolts to the rear quarter panel. Just looks like the person who prepped/painted really didnt care and was In a rush. I wouldnt recommend this place, and I would not take my vehicle here again in the future at this point in time.

I was a little concerned about this garage after reading some not so good reviews but both my Ins Co. and my dealer told me to use them. I was very very pleased with both the way they handled the car and myself keeping me informed. It took just a little longer than I expected but they found some things that couldnt be seen in the beginning. My car came out looking impeccable. Clean inside and out, it looked like a new car. I never had to return it for any reason. I would recommend Gate City to anyone who needs a repair job. Id give them a 5 star rating.

My wife and I have used Gate City for 4 of our cars, (this was the first time I actually hit something). I only mention that las bit because every time we have needed their services has because someone has hit my wifes car or mine, and every time it has been dealing with a different insurance company. Gate City makes it as painless as possible when dealing with insurance on their end whether you are at fault or not. Everything from Fender benders, to full Fender, bumpers, quarter panels and even engine components and mounts. You can trust they will give your vehicle back to you better than it was before it got banged up.

In both instances someone else hit me and they’re relationship with Enterprise rental makes is so easy and convenient to get a rental. I never stepped foot into enterprise. They are an incredibly enjoyable business to work with.

I was very impressed with Carly texting updates on pretty much everyday, really liked it.The bodywork and paint job on front of my car looked brand new again, loved it 😁But the detail job I was not impressed with,The rear passenger door side had sticky substance that was still there, but seemed that it was just waxed over.And tree sap that was just waxed over, I was able to scrape most of it off.But all in all I’m a satisfied customer,But detailing 👎

I had used Gate City Collision after my truck had been involved in an accident and needed some body repairs as well as a tie rod and weld repair to the frame where the control arm rests. After 3 weeks I was able to pick up my truck. Originally my experience was not the greatest, as the timeline seemed to be stretched and there was a small issue still residing in the passenger side mirror.Phil had become aware of my experience and reached out to me for two reasons; the first being he wanted to better my experience and the second was to give me options on how to move forward with the issue in the mirror, stating they would take care of it. A recycled mirror had been used to save time and money, it is possible the mirror failed at some point between installation and pickup. Either way it was nice for them to offer to correct the minor issue. Phil had even offered to refund a portion of my deductible due to low gas tank levels, this was my own mistake and they did not need to do this but offered anyway.All things considered, the work done at Gate City is of good quality, they take the time to match the paint color right which really separates them for other lower quality garages.The employees are respectful and responsive and the customer service is great.

Never got back to me with a quote. Estimator was a younger guy that seemed to get completely disinterested once I told him I was paying out of pocket and not going through insurance. It’s too bad because I had done a lot of work with this company in the past through my company. Next time I’ll go somewhere else.

Communication and convenience is everything, and GCC was excellent in this regard. They handled everything for me (coordinating with the other driver’s insurance) and sent me text updates throughout the process. I picked up my car today and it looks as good as new. I am so pleased, and so grateful, as accidents and car repairs can be a big nuisance. This was painless.

I had my 2018 VW Alltrack serviced. It took much longer than their estimated time frame. It was returned with fender flares separating from the fenders and needing replacement. The replacement was done but took longer than expected. Recently I was driving and reached up to grab the grab handle and it would not return to the up ( resting ) position. Upon further inspection I noticed scratches on the clips that were most likely pried off recklessly, I also found a piece of black plastic that was melted and shoved in the hinge to prevent it from falling, however it was not functional.I would not recommend this shop to anybody! Prices are not really competitive and work is sub par

Office staff was friendly and courteous and repair was eventually finished. However service staff was careless and scratched up the brand new part and got spare paint on parts of the car that were not supposed to be touched.Additionally, after I politely pointed out that the new part was already scratched, the service manager accused me of trying to swindle the business for free labor which was not the case in the slightest. I was quite offended and it ruined my entire experience.

I have made it a point to come back to this collision center as they do the best work that I have seen. I have been to Manchester collision and key collision in Salem... wasn’t that great as the work was shoddy and I had to have them correct items that they forgot to fix. My only minor compliant about Gate City is to do a basic cleaning of the interior of the car when finished. Just vacuum and wipe all the doors and interior down. I had dust from the repair all over the doors and a funky smell which I know is the chemicals they use during the repair. It’s a small price to pay to have your vehicle repaired correctly.

It took a little over two over two weeks...a reasonable amount of time. After this experience, I will get loaner/rental car to use while my car is in the shop. Would definitely go back to Gate City Collision for their professionalism!

Ive had the misfortune of needing a collision repair shop in the past, but I have not had the good fortune to experience Gate City Collision until now.Great people here, no condescending talking too, no smoke and mirrors, just great work and thanks to detailed attention my vehicle actually looks better now than it did on the showroom floor. I hope to never have to go there again, but that said, it is the only place I would consider if needed. Great job detailing also.

So this is complicated. The actual repair of the vehicle appears at “this time” to be extremely good. (I’ve only had it back a week). However their communication is horrible. I was told 2 to 3 weeks for the repair. I dropped off on 4/9 and did not hear anything until 4/25 !!!! And that was ONLY after I contacted them first. I have no idea how long it Would have actually been if I hadn’t texted them first.I was expecting my car to be done and instead didn’t get the car until 5/20 !!!! That’s not 3 weeks. Not even close. Never really gave an answer that was believable. The man Dylan that I dealt with personally while at the shop was very polite, kind and personable though. He was probably the only reason I didn’t snap a gasket when I picked up the car.

Great communication took longer than I would like but with covid and waiting for parts I think I was a little impatient being my first time needing there service and I was paying for a rental.. Lol..Great job looks perfect...and A+ communication thanks again Carly..

Gate City’s work was spectacular! I entrusted my Mercedes Benz C 350 to them for auto body repairs and somehow they made it look better than when it came off of the showroom floor! The actual work done on my car was FABULOUS! I’m extremely pleased. The regular communication and text updates from Carly were very much appreciated. She was always prompt and responsive. The length of time it took for my car to be repaired was a bit longer than I’d anticipated, but, as I said, the work was excellent and the communication and updates were prompt, helpful and appreciated. I made arrangements to pick up my car at the end of the day. I had to do some last minute scrambling, cancelling clients and rearranging a difficult schedule, however I was assured they’d be expecting me just before close. I arrived ONE MINUTE LATE to find they’d closed early, hadn’t waited for me, hadn’t called to verify that I was on my way, made no attempt to be present as possible. Disappointing and incredibly unprofessional. I luckily had my spare key so I took my car anyway, and made payment the next day over the phone. A+ for the actual repairs. A+ to Carly for her daily updates and communication. C+ for the length of time it took to go the repairs. F for the way I was treated at the end of the “transaction”. Several calls and texts were ignored and no one was there to give me my car back. Too bad.

Recently got rear ended and brought my car in for the repair. They arranged a rental car for me and took car of everything! The text updates were helpful, and after just a couple days I had my car back. Car looks good as new!!

I made the worst mistake ever bringing my car here to be repaired. I was told it would take 2 weeks to complete. After 2 and a half weeks I started calling every day to see when it would be finished. I was told end of business that day for 5 days. I finally picked up my car after 22 days. I had paid $30 for a basic detailing package. On the day I picked it up I had told them that morning that if it hadnt already been done, DONT do it. I didnt want them keeping my car any longer than necessary. They assured me 3 times it had already been done. I pick up my car and they had cleaned the back 2 windows but not front and sprayed cleaner all over the inside windshield but not wiped it off. I then got a call from the rental car company saying they were going to charge me for what the insurance company wasnt covering since I had the rental for longer than approved. I called Gate City and told them they needed to call the insurance company to get the additional days covered and the manager Nathan assured me he would take care of it and call me back the following day to update me. Ive never heard from them again. My review isnt uncommon. Dont make the mistake of bringing your car here.To respond below - You did charge me for the cleaning. I demanded a refund for it, rightfully so, and it was given.Im not hearing anything differently about the rental. I didnt hear anything at all since I was never called back as promised.
