I first encountered Chris to have a repair done on my tire. After they looked at it they informed me that my rim had a crack in it. I have been having problems with getting air to stay in my tires for a while now. I had actually priced rims a couple of times. Chris gave me a VERY quote to replace all the rims. I gave him the ok to order them and they got me in the next morning to have the work done. I waited about an hour and my car was ready. To my great surprise the price included hubcaps (I thought that I would have to purchase these separately). EXTREMELY happy with the service that I received. I would recommend it to anyone. Town Fair Tire is amazing!!!

Made me stand for 20 minutes with no help, while 3 guys just standing there looking at me. I wave to say hello, wait another 10 min and noone comes to help still. Funny thing is I needed 4 tires for my truck and they just lost $1000 I was ready too spend. VIP and Town Fair Tire will now take that, money kindly. Manager of this place should be ashamed of this store. Place was a mess also.

Incredibly disappointed. Moved to the area and in need of an inspection and oil change. Scheduled an afternoon appointment a week in advance just to be called 2 hours prior, that the state inspector was leaving because they could only do 8 inspections daily. Again, this was scheduled a week in advance.Most people and places of business would find this an unprofessional practice.

Had to reduce to 1 star. Made an appointment for Saturday oil change then when I get there they tell me they are running behind a few hours so they cant take me. Then a week later I make an appointment for 9am thinking ok ill be the first one there on a Sunday morning but no!!!! Walk ins get there after I did and they serve them right away while Im there for an hour. The guy tells me oh yeah they just brought your car in. Wait another 15 minutes then walk outside and my car is still in the parking lot. I go in grab my keys and leave. The said only have two guys so they are slow! Im like listen I have an appointment and should be the first person attended before the walk ins that got there after me. The place was great but they have fallen so quickly. Now their retial stores took a dump and closed. Seems like a matter of time before they close up shop!

A great experience! Took my car in because another shop couldn’t get the check engine light fixed, on two separate occasions, and threw unnecessary parts at it, Charging 600 dollars without fixing the issue. Store manager Ryan and the master tech figured out the issue and it ended up being a recall(special adjustment). Instead of charging us for issues that were unnecessary like the majority of shops in the region, the master tech did many hours of diagnostics, while Ryan didn’t charge us a penny for it after coming to the conclusion it was a recall issue. The integrity and honesty is strong here. Disregard all reviews below a 5 star! Lifetime customers!

I live in Gardner, MA, but drive over 50 miles, one way, to have Eric work on my Honda Element. Its a special car for me, used for towing our trailer, and hes the only mechanic I will allow to touch Bern-E. Hes done rear, adjustable upper control arms, and yesterday, he installed a new Cat system, and did a perfect alignment. Now Bern-E is ready for a 5,000 vacation trip. If you own a Honda Element, make your appointment with Eric... hell take care of your family member...

I took my car in for inspection last week. I was told to get the recall, locked up calipers, fixed and bring it back to finish the inspection. I brought it back today to be told the technician wasnt in today and I would have to come back the next day. I was never told I had to work around someone elses schedule to get this done. I was also told that if another tech did an inspection they might find something else wrong. If the first tech did his job then, no nothing will be found. I dont like being threatened. I wasted over an hour of my time going in today to be denied service I already paid for. I WILL not ever go back to Pep Boys after this absolutely horrible customer service experience.

Well being in the automotive industry for 20 + yrs and I now know that 4 tires takes 9 plus hrs to complete, especially when you have an appointment right when they open. I feel that a one star is being generous when I was guaranteed that it would be completed in a couple hrs. I got fed up with waiting so I found my own ride home thinking it shouldn’t take too much longer but now know that wasn’t the case. They did an inventory check a week prior when appointment was made. I don’t recommend this facility for any work to be performed, unless you have a full day to waste and still then I would go elsewhere.

Told my truck, with only 40,000 miles, needed 2k in work to pass inspection. Ive since gotten 2 more professional opinions that both agreed majority of the problems do not exist. They tried to take advantage of me. Nope never again will I go here. Waited 3 hours for a ridiculously expensive oil change and new wipers and they left the plastic covers on the wipers. I had to stop on the side of the road in pouring rain to climb on the truck and take the plastic off myself! Unacceptable

Hours say 7pm, I called several times on the way to the shop just to be ignored. Again the hours say 7PM. I get there just to be told they’re booked until Wednesday which is fine but at least answer the phone to relay that. Now I run into the issue of needing to buy coolant, the guy there said oh yeah sorry pep boys is a separate company they close at 6. Again which should’ve been communicated when I called. If you’re gonna lie and be lazy, don’t come to work. The hours say updated by business recently. If I could give 0 stars I would. Probably for the better. I’d rather not bring my vehicle or business to people like that, I refuse to have my vehicle half a$$ed by some lazy person. I will continue to bring my business up the street to Mavis tire and Brake (former NTB) up the road by NCC from this location. Poor service every time I come in here. The prices are never updated either.

Dont Bother. Takes forever to do anything at this place. Just to talk to someone on the phone (about 35 min wait), get work done (they said about an hour to change spare tire and do an oil change... in reality 2.5- 3 hours to even get car looked at (on a slow day!), and then they couldnt even change the tire. Just tell me you cant change it rather than waste my time. I wouldve been better just doing the work myself. 4 days later, still didnt have my car back, after they said it would be done multiple times on each day after I was on hold for over 30 mins a second time. They said they had lost my keys. Picked up car finally last night because still not done. Not the first time Ive had problems with this place. Dont waste your time or money. Most unorganized Auto Service shop Ive ever been to. The 1 star rating is a compliment...

Customer? What customer?The Nashua store is, without a doubt, the worst auto supply/service shop in the U.S. They ignore everyone who comes in. Obviously, youre not important enough for them to acknowledge your presence. No small wonder the parking lot is empty cause people know better than to waste their time going in. I asked about getting tires mounted onto new rims. I didnt buy the tires or rims there... I just need the tires mounted. Like deer in a headlight, they couldnt tell me if they could or would do it. After 15 minutes of I dont know, I left. Go anywhere than here.

I arrived promptly for my 8am appointment for a tire change, but it still took 2 hours and 55 minutes to do this simple job that should not take more than an hour. No apology or anything either. Without an appointment it would probably take 8 hours.Also, the place is disgusting. I have attached pictures of the bathroom and waiting area at 8am. One can only imagine how it looks in the afternoon.

The Lady at the counter was nice is the only good I can say.They didnt take my vehicle at my appointment time, they didnt do all the requested services, they tried to cancel my appointment while I was there, and now I have a noise coming from my rear passenger side that wasnt there before their service.On top of that they told me I had to make a new appointment to complete the services that they didnt actually do while I was there, while having already charged me for it.Oh and I drive almost 1hr to get there...At this point in time I have no desire to ever go back there, and I plan on making sure others know of my poor experience.

They were all.so great, They helped me out with no appointment at the end of there day and I was very greatful to the guys who.helped me.out. But I am upset 😡 that I tried to give the 2 guys that worked on my truck a 20 dollar tip each and they said they couldnt take it, die to Corporates rules which I think is very sad and not right at all. Im very upset because they deserved it and they couldnt take it from me but Im sure Corporate gets bonuses and stuff and they men and woman who do all the work for there company DONT SEE ANUTHING AT ALL, LIKE A BONUS OR EVEN A Christmas bonus. I dont think thats right and that should change for the workers . Its the customers choose to tip not Corporates to say they cant.

Brought my car in due to my drivers side rear tire losing pressure twice- they claimed I had a “very small nail in my tire wall, too close to patch”, said I needed all 4 new tires because I can’t replace just one (which was true if there was actually a nail in my tire :) awd) so I asked them to give my car back, so they did and I looked for this so called nail and couldn’t find it so I took my car elsewhere to get it looked at and asked them if they could point out this “nail” so I get called back so they can show me the nail... there was no nail in my tire. My tires thread were low so I did need new tires anyway, so I got my new tires at Mavis/NTB right down the street, they were much more honest with me, didn’t even attempt to sell me more services and the most important part is that they didn’t lie to me! I don’t appreciate being lied to- I would’ve much rather heard that’s there is no nail but you still need all 4 new tires due to the thread running low, and I know pep boys is infamous for lying and talking up services I’m so glad I went somewhere else!!

Guess I should have read reviews before making an appointment! Two tires!! Ordered and paid online, appt for 2pm, showed ten minutes early. It’s 4:30 and I’m still here! Car has been up on lift for over an hour!! Two tires. Online scheduling is a scam and it does nothing for you!And by-the-way they need to pay for the heat, everyone in waiting area had to keep their coats on!No idea if I’m ever gonna get out of here, tell my kids I love them!

I scheduled an appointment for a full tire change at 10 am, arrived 10 minutes early and saw how hectic the environment felt. The store seemed understaffed or overworked or both. I wasnt able to be attended to until 10:10 am where I was told there was no way my car was going to be done on time, if they even had my tires in stock. The women at the booth told me that the website was flawed and it wasnt their fault. I called 3.5 hours later and was told my car was up next. I arrived an hour and a half later to check in because I was running an errand and my car still wasnt moved and it was still going to be quite a wait. I asked for my keys back and as the male employee was coming from the garage he loudly said to a fellow employees well the website books 6 hours of work for one hour how are we supposed to do that, which felt like he was trying to let me know that but wasnt secure or confident or professional enough to have that conversation with me. Instead he handed me my keys and wished me a good day. Not once was a single employee apologetic. Not the women in the morning, or the gentlemen on the phone, or the guy in the store. The higher ups need to fix the store to website communication or it will lose both employees and customers with its frustrations.

Master mechanic decided that I did not need snow tires today... Scheduled this 3 weeks ago and today he refused to do my car today because changing tires is below his talent. I moved from DE to NH the middle of March. I was a customer in DE and was thrilled to find one close to me in NH. The are friendly and polite. They do the work and explain why it needs to be done. I wouldnt take my car anyplace else to keep up the maintenance. Love these guys!

Cant beat their prices. I had been for years going to another big chain for all work and decided to give Pep Boys a try. They had an offer for 1/2 off services for installation so would give them a try. Even their full price for labor was less than what other big chain quoted me. The parts they installed were of higher quality than the other chain at less of cost. Very pleased with them.

Just for reference I went in for a pep boys appointment on August 5th. I drop off the car for a state inspection come back two hours later. The technician Eric comes back to me says everything is good except the driver side rear tire has a gash in it on the sidewall. So I go and look at the sidewall and immediately alarm bells start going off theres no damage to the tire this guy is trying to rip me off. I think the guy was trying to rip me off because I am a young driver. I ended up taking it to my dealership a couple days later and they laughed at what he wrote on the inspection form sidewall deep cut. He was clearly using inspections for profit. Young drivers DO NOT GO HERE. You will be ripped off

Worst place to get state Inspection, if I could give negative stars I would, so unprofessional, had a 6pm appointment was called and told they couldnt work pass 4pm to come in so I did at 445 they come to me to tell me they couldnt do it, they where backed up. So not only did they waste my time i had to make another appointment. To then wait 2 hours at the new appointment that was first thing in the morning. To fail for tint on the back window that I have had for 6 years and passed with no problems. They wanted 750 dollars to take the tint off what a ripe off and very unprofessional. Never will go to another pep boys again and will be sure to tell anyone I know. The kicker passed inspection at a real auto shop. Pep boys is all about over Charging trying to make money off of people.

Really disappointing experience. I stopped in for some parts and to get a quote on four new tires. Service writer was very friendly and helpful, but I ended up buying the tires somewhere else. I scheduled an oil change and inspection for the following day, right after I was getting the new tires installed at another shop. Brought the vehicle in with the new tires on, saw the same guy from the night before and mentioned I bought new tires elsewhere but still needed oil change and inspection. I was advised I had failed inspection for “very loose rear upper control arms.” They did not bring me out to show me the problem, as most garages do, they just called me over and said it failed, but they could fix it for $1,460. I felt a second opinion was warranted, so I brought it straight over to a reputable local repair shop in Nashua (I know, I should have gone there first). They put it right up on the lift and checked the rear upper control arms and ball joints. They brought me out to show me there was no play in them and they absolutely should not have failed. I had to pay for another state inspection, which was unfortunate, but I am grateful they saved me over $1400. Now, I can’t say for sure that the service writer from Pep Boys was upset I didn’t buy the tires from them so they tried to get unnecessary service work out of me, but it sure does feel that way. Needless to say, I will not bring my vehicle there for service ever again and will most likely choose to take my business elsewhere for any and all automotive needs.

Had a 12pm appointment for 4 tires and an inspection sticker, they had my tires off in 25 min. so I thought this should be quick. To my surprise they did not touch my car for another 2.5 hours. total time 3.5 hours. And then they told me they still had to do the inspection. Failed it, and told me it would be 1000.00 to do the brakes. What they did not know is that I had the car inspected a few weeks before and everything passed but the tires. Whos screwing who. Never again

This location can work on their customer service and assumption that a client is worth more than another. Both times I came in, I stood in line while another customer was being helped. The reps would look at me but not say a word. At first, I assumed that they were just busy. However, later in the day while waiting for my car to be serviced, I noticed that they were saying well be right with you to other customers waiting in line. During my second time there, despite there being plenty of room around me, this older man(a team leader of some sort), nearly walked right into me as if I werent there and said nothing about brushing by coat. It was incredibly rude.The only one who showed me any genuine, non-judgmental customer service was the rep Sean/Shawn. Thanks for treating me like a customer both on the phone and in person.The rest, Id seriously advise you to stop judging your customers by how they look or if you think they are worth your time. I saw how kind you all can be when a customer that is worth your time. You have no idea why they are dressed a certain way or how much money they have just by looking.

Very HONEST service! I went in for 4 new tires with a reasonable price, the employees were so kind and helpful. The price and tires I thought I was as getting was incorrect and it ended up that I needed a larger tire than necessary and James called me immediately to resolve the issue. They took care of it and we were able to come to a compromise, PLUS they prove a 10% military discount! Put more workers in thr bays and less in the sales area. Twice I made perfect arrangements to get it and install tires. Both times I show up and told we only have one tech so it will take a long time since more people are in front of you now. Do not make promises setting up appts that you will not follow through with. Another garage got the business with 4 techs ready in the shop and only one salesperson.

Brought my 2017 Ford Focus ST for a car inspection sticker with 50k mostly highway miles.My car failed inspection. I was told all 4 breaks are worn down to the metal and are grinding against rotors. I was told some calipers are sticking. I was also told the rear ones are rotting. I was given a quote for $860I took my car for a second quote at Merrimack Auto LLC right across the highway. They looked at it and said the breaks are in perfect condition, there is no rust, all the rotors are straight, the pads are 3 times the width needed to pass inspection and are no where near the point where they are grinding. Merrimack Auto gave me a passed inspection sticker. The mechanic told me I should go get my money back from the previous place and he felt they were trying to push a sale on me for something I did not need. He warned me they might try to say it is up to the inspection mechanics judgement but he said to tell them that the pads are objectively 3 times the width needed to pass and there is no rust or warped rotors.I went back to Pep boys and calmly told the service manager the story and showed the documents saying I failed and then the other places document saying it passed. He didnt say anything at all. He quickly gave me a refund and would not make eye contact. No apology or any acknowledgement that they made a mistake.Summary: They failed my inspection for something that was in good condition and tried to push a sale on me. Do not recommend them. Get a second quote for any work they tell you that you need.

This was my first time at a pep boys store and I had a tire that had gone flat. Was told that they couldnt plug it because of the tread wear on the outside being almost to the steel belt. Shawn from the tire department was outstanding. He was able to find me tires for a set of 2 for basically the same price competition had quoted for 1. Service in and out was less than an hour with the tmps sensors . If you are in need of tires in Nashua, I recommend going here and asking for Shawn. Outstanding and thanks again

WORST SERVICE EVER:Had an appointment scheduled today at 6pm for 4 tires ordered and paid online. I got to the location at 5:50pm. They took my keys and told me it would be about an hour (told them I’d be waiting for the car) at exactly 6:40pm I’m outside having a cigarette and my phone alerts me that I have a voicemail which is PepBoys that I’m standing in front of, telling me that they apologize but cant do my tires today because they are overbooked!!! There was no service manager available only the in-store manager who offered “nothing” as a resolution. Told me to call Friday to speak with Service Manager and to boot, they claim that they can only do my tires a week from today!!!

Decent store for basic parts, and accessories. Easy to get to and have decent hours. Their parts department has been getting more expansive than their accessories so its a step in the right direction. Their biggest downside is staffing. Always a good wait for help.

I do all my own mechanical work, and would never see myself bringing my car to a chain service station. Cant comment on the quality of mechanic work here but Shawn the on duty service manager in a white shirt was very attentive, knows his stuff and provided me with great customer service.

In general, they are good and fair and dont create repairs. They normally have a very quick response and turn around. I have had occasional issues thru the years with parts not ordered, appointments not written down and then you show up.., and twice repairs seemed to sit much longer than promised, but this is over a 15yr period. Otherwise, theyd get a 5 star.

I went in for preventative maintenance on my 15 year old Mercs A/C, and received service above my expectations.The staffs technical knowledge is excellent!They were able to suggest further preventative work at almost no cost in either parts or labor time.The A/C diagnostic process was very well explained.They provided patient discussion of the diagnostic readout results and labor-savings if worn parts were replaced while work around the A/C compressor was performed.The result was a very small price increase and only 25 minutes extra waiting time. The cost was only $1.36 over the final verbal estimate.I can clearly hear a reduction in bearing-noise, and a new main belt is always a good investment.

Overall nice. Just expect to be double booked, so time till completion could double. However scheduling via the website is fast and easy. There is free WiFi if waiting in store. The quality of work is good. So I dont mind waiting longer for good results.

I called and asked Do you provide check engine light service? The guy from other end said yes, come and part in front of second door. I was happy, drove 30mins and probably same guys there saying they can only provide the code and not the actual service!!! Common??! Other auto service center were clear on call it self! Just because of this you losing customer, you may provide very good auto service, but need to train phone guys!

Had a scheduled 9am appointment for an oil change tire mount and balance (I supplied the tires) got a call an hour later found this and this that needs to be and also an alinement. Ok sure go ahead do the alinement. It has now been 4 hours no call go and now told I need a battery. Gee how about a phone call instead of us waiting and waiting. WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE FOR ANY ITHER SERVICE.

Service is always up and beyond for my jeep and Buick. The master mechanic does bang up job, no pun intended. All services is done properly with a good amount of time. If they believe it may need more time they notify me about it and, will work with a time frame that works for both of us.Theyve done great on my 2006 hemi jeep electrical issue. Need a overhaul job of my wiring under my jeep from front to back. Serviced my 4x4 system, also my engine services.Buick need traction control service which need a new module. Took a trial and error but found the issue and kept the cost reasonable.Sometime it may need lot more time. But I prefer it done right and not rushed.

I called a full week prior to schedule a Saturday appointment when this location opened. I was told that they did not have me in their system, which is the second time this happened. I scheduled a tire rotation, alignment, and balance appointment with the service manager, who was on duty during the Saturday appointment. When scheduling, I got the impression that they were busy and was given a sure, no problem response... so I emphasized on the phone that I would be waiting, and wanted to be sure I was on their schedule. The service manager said no problem. On the appointment day, I naturally expressed frustration that this happened twice recently, and reminded the service manager that I asked to be sure I was on the schedule. His response was that the system is a little weird sometimes and was passive aggressive claiming he did put me in the system. They were still able to accommodate the service, but busy or not, this location needs to confirm scheduled appointments are actually saved.

Worst location ever. Hide your wallet and run a cross the street to auto zone. I have never met more lazy, incompetent pepboys employees. Ordered 3 batteries 14 days later 2 hrs on the phone I receive one battery, batteries were on a pallet for over a week, employees refuse to unload them. CORPORATE WAS EVEN WORSE CASE # 717343.

This place is the worst to bring your vehicle to. They take little to no effort to treat your property with respect. While at this location I watched a service member pour washer fluid all over the engine bay of a persons car, I also watched that same car get its door slammed into the lift. Now lets talk about the time, over 2 hours for an oil change and inspection....really! Thats unreasonable especially after they say it will be down in a few minutes an hour before that. In a world where there are options do not make this place one of those please.
