Im sure this dealership can handle scheduled maintenance but do not plan on stellar communication in an emergency situation.Here is my experience: I am from out of state and was visiting Nashville for the first time with my wife on 7/1/21. As we are headed downtown my drivers side rear wheel starts to wobble. I pull over to find all of the lugs missing and the wheel just hanging on...great! Im able to secure the wheel but in doing so find the wheel to be compromised as well as a few wheel studs. A quick google search finds the Carl Black just 2 miles away. I drive over and fill out the drop off envelope including a note that I am from out of state and need the vehicle by 9:30AM on 7/3/21.In the morning I dont hear anything from them so I start to become nervous. At 11:49am I call to check the status. The service advisor said they were busy but that they could get to it after lunch. I explain the situation but the advisor noted that they should be able to order parts for it once they have it in the shop. The advisor then mentions that I will receive a call with an estimate once in the shop. Great!I do not hear anything and start to become nervous once again. At 3:53pm (4 hours later) I call to speak with the advisor again. I am told they were very busy and wont be able to get to my vehicle until Monday 7/5/21. I explain my situation once again and inform the advisor that I will be on my way over shortly to take the vehicle.Once I arrive at Carl Black I find my vehicle has not entered the shop all day. I express my displeasure with the communication but ask the advisor if they can assist with putting on my spare tire on as the wheel had been compromised. The only reason for the two stars it the service advisor made an attempt to help my situation but only once I arrived at the service department at 4:20pm. In addition, the mechanic was excellent and professional.I am extremely disappointed in the communication from Carl Black. Im unsure of how I could have been more clear that I needed assistance and if they could not help, I would have accepted that and taken the vehicle somewhere else. At the end of the day, they did come into action to help but only once I arrived and to the tune of 2 hours labor.I dont want to dissuade anyone from coming here for scheduled maintenance but if you are on the side of I-40 at night in a rainstorm and are looking for a place for an emergency repair to your Chevy, this is not the place.

So my vehicle has been in their service shop for over 2 months, never was offered a loaner vehicle, they never return my calls. I have to assume they ignore my calls. Ive reached my service rep maybe twice. Terrible customer service. I understand that the part is on backorder, but this is getting ridiculous. They clearly arent trying very hard to resolve my issue. I feel completely powerless because no one there will clearly help me or return my calls. Im hoping this gets to them just so someone will call me.

Made an appointment to have the oil changed and was made aware of the recall air bags being in stock and that this needed to be done as well. Said it would take half a day and would shuttle me back home. Katelyn said max 2 hours so I decided to wait. Spoke with some of the nicest people while waiting. I was floored that it was done in under an hour. After leaving I noticed my air bag light was still on. Went back to the dealership to find out why and was told that I would have to have a diagnostic test to determine why. WHY WAS THIS NOT DONE WHILE THE MECHANIC WAS WORKING ON MY TRUCK???!!! That it would cost $140 for the test and that money would go towards the part. According to Zach, that air bag sensor runs all through the truck. Im REALLY NOT HAPPY about this. We come to Carl Black EVERYTIME the oil needs changing. Why treat a returning customer like that?

If I could compare this dealership to others, it would be in the level of comparing Spirit airlines to Southwest / Delta. The level of service, knowledge and willingness to find a solution to my issues would be rated 3/10. Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by other dealerships in the past and expect higher standards. Usually I get serviced here I’ve had several different experiences here this one being the most interesting. I came for my regular service on my car oil change tires rotation, somehow my lug nut on my tire broke . Now it wasn’t broke prior to service . I was told that it possibly was broken in service or possible could just be wear and tear . Zach who checked me out I had the conversation with who said these things could happen but wasn’t really taking responsibility for the “possibility “ so as I leave I had to go. I called to see what would be the solution to the problem and they wanted to me to pay full price for a problem that could have happened in there care . Then Zach told a little lie and said he didn’t say the things he said well my mother was on the phone and she heard it all so no lies here . But I find it rude and unprofessional that they did there best to try and take advantage for something they know they did let’s be clear . I’m still paying for some of the service that was the solution. Also I walk in for my scheduled service and he knew who I was and asked me “was I here to get it fixed “and I replied yes something that you guys possible broke, he replied “I would have to disagree” be careful messing with Gods children nothing good come from what you did and how it was done God bless!

It took over a year for them to even acknowledge the problem with my car and replaced my sway bar on a car with 20000 I miles on it and it still isn’t fixed. My car has been in the shop more than it’s been in my possession! I have never had so many problems with a car and I have always driven a Chevy.

The salesman was very courteous and helpful when suddenly I needed to upgrade to a newer model of the Equinox. The dealership had just received exactly what I was looking for so I was able to secure a deal within hours. I have been very pleased with the 3 Equinoxes I have owned and both the service department and Lawrence the salesman I worked with have been very professional.

My car sit at the dealership for a week and a half with no correspondence. I understand you guys may be shortstaffed however we had to reach out several times with promises of continued correspondence on your behalf which never happened.I husband had to come up there to get any concrete information regarding our vehicle. Additionally, The vehicle only needed something that could be fixed within a day. Consequentially I was out of a vehicle for a week and a half which is very inconvenience on top of the poor service. Unbelievably, The same day I picked up my vehicle three hours later the battery went dead. This is something that your technicians would have easily been able to spot but no information was given to me and no action was taken prior to this. Thank God I was not stranded. Carl Black, I am highly disappointed in you and don’t think I would refer any family members at the moment

My appointment was originally scheduled for 12:20 PM on 5/28/2021 as this is a time that worked for myself, and my families schedule. I received a text message the day prior to my appointment telling me it was at 2 PM, when I asked about it I was just told, no sir, it is 2 PM. When I showed up for my 2 PM appointment (which clearly the dealership chose for me), I proceeded to wait for close to 10 minutes for someone to help me, even though there were two associates behind the counter (neither associate spoke to me or acknowledged my presence). Once I was checked in I proceeded to wait, and watched my truck sit in the waiting area for 30 minutes, so by this time it is close to 2:45 PM. At approximately 3:45 I noticed my truck sitting in the completed waiting area, so I asked the associate if it was done, and was told he was just waiting on paperwork, it should just be 5 to 10 more minutes. I was finally checked out and left the dealership at 4:30 PM. Needless to say I was not impressed by any means and will be looking for another dealership to conduct my business with in the future.

Worst service experience from a dealer ever. I took my daughters car in for an oil change and the check Engine light was on. After the Oil Change they said they couldnt look at the check engine light for 3 days. After the oil change part of the oil change they charge for is an Inspection. We are told everything is good... how is everything good when the check engine light is on? We schedule an appt to bring it back and at drop off before even looking at the car they informed us they would need it for over a week. How would you know that if you havent looked at it. Autozone checked the code in 10 min for free.... If you dont have staff to work on a car dont take the appointment. You have lost our familys business

We drove from Knoxville, and Tristan Moreno met us at the truck. It was clean, full of diesel, and ready to go. He walked us through the entire vehicle and stayed with us through financing, adding options, and answering our numerous questions. He was professional and very genuine dealing with us.
