This shop did not properly torque down my front left wheel lug nuts after a tire rotation and brake service. The day after I got my car back, I left town for the weekend and on the way back home, began to feel and hear metal on metal knocking under the left side of my car. I had another auto mechanic help me diagnose the issue when I got back to town, and we discovered that 3 of the front left wheel lug nuts were finger tight, and none of them were torqued properly. That mechanic torqued down all of lug nuts and when I drove after that, the knocking was gone. This is absolutely unacceptable and such a dangerous mistake to make when servicing a car. I drove almost 1,000 miles, some through curvy mountain roads, on lug nuts that were not torqued down properly. This could have been a very dangerous situation had that wheel come of while driving. Absolutely unacceptable.

Work was good..front desk person (George) was extremely discourteous and rude.From the moment I approched the front desk he had an attitude.I was in the day before but the wait was too long so the nice front desk person made me an appointment for the next day. When I walked in to check in George said the only appt is for a name of Brown. So he proceeded to ask for my information 3 TIMES rudely Everytime...I took a seat and the mgr ask me if I wanted a water..I declined it but told him about my experience with George...he said he would speak to him.I watched George be overly pleasant to all the male customers...I was the only female in this store.But to add insult to injury... George called me Ms Brown when my car was ready..THAT IS NOT MY NAME!!!! As I had told him 3 times when I checked in...As I was checking out the snide comments continued....so I told George I hope he was more polite to the next woman who walked in....I told the mgr I would never come back if I had to interact with this Jerk.... His reply was he would speak to George after his shift...so I hope no other woman entered that store after I left and had to deal with that disrespectful jerk!!!The actual service crew was very good.....

I had to have my brake pads replaced. Midas was about $30~$50 per axle less expensive than other providers. I was also able to take advantage of their oil change coupon during my visit. I waited on the job in a clean and friendly customer area. I was kept informed of the progress and told when my vehicle would be completed as well as notified when there was only 30 minutes left.My vehicle was tested and driven by the repairman and delivered to me at the waiting area. The steering wheel had been covered in plastic and a paper carpet protector put down. Both were removed when I was presented with the vehicle.I have been driving for several days since without problems. And of course, Midas provides a lifetime warranty on parts.So, I highly recommend this location and this team. I appreciated their prompt and courteous effort and the work of the technician who visited with me to review the job. All in all, very impressed.

Dropped off a car for an oil change and was told over the phone that the car will be ready by end of day. When I came to pick up the car all I got was “sorry, we didn’t get around to it.”

Went to the dealership and was told I needed a lot of brake work done and that I had several issues that needed to be fixed on my car. I called Midas of Belle Meade and they could get me right in. They checked my brakes for FREE and did a full inspection. Come to find out my brakes were fine and they made sure my vehicle was safe for the road. I definitely recommend this Midas as they are very polite and honest which is hard to find nowadays. They have earned my business.

I have used this location for a decade.. long before they were bought out by and became midas. Mostly the same staff and they have always struck me as honest and fair. I dont trust my vehicles anywhere else.

Don’t take your car here. They have no idea what they are doing! Quoted me for 4 new tires and I took my car down the road and they said I only needed one. There is one nice man that works there but he doesn’t manage the rest. Do yourself a favor, take your car to Lawsons down the road!

Service was fine. The main thing that has changed is the prices have skyrocketed since it was American Tire. Even the 2 customers who were having their car serviced questioned them. Keep an eye on the small charges thats where they get you. Will be shopping around next time for sure.

Watch out! They don’t honor their own coupons from their own individual franchise website. They make some kind of excuse that the “owner” of this store didn’t authorize the promotion but there it is. I’m sure they could remove it if they wanted to. Zero stars.

Went in to see if they could install an H pipe in place of my resonator. (keep in mind I was providing my own H pipe so they didn’t have to fabricate one and charge me for it) Took them a little over an hour to give me a quote I was shocked to find out that they were going to charge me $250. Told them to take it off the lift. Went to Gorilla’s Muffler Center and they quoted me $120 almost immediately and had it done in an hour. I’m sure Midas saw some young 20 something kid and wanted to make a buck by ripping me off. Will never be returning to any Midas and will deter any friends and family from going as well.

They were very helpful and prompt. Called to discuss the needs of my car. Did the work with efficiency and had my car ready in a very timely manner.

Basically called my wife a liar. This place used to be amazing but it was bought and the two great managers left. She called to ask if they would swap a battery if we brought it to them. She came an hour later and they tried to sell her another one then when she reminded them of the conversation they relented but said no one there had that conversation.

$600 per wheel bearing! That says it all.. very disappointed. Had no choice as the car was becoming dangerous to drive but from research and friends telling me otherwise.. this should have cost around $300 per bearing. No idea if they have done a good job, time will tell.. but definitely won’t be coming back.

First time visiting this business. Very friendly, reasonably priced and timely in their work. So far, Im very happy with the experience.

Do NOT bring your vehicle here. Everyone makes mistakes, but here, when they do, the manager will hide in the shop and refuse to speak with you. They put 14 quarts of oil in a car that maybe holds 7-9; caused me to blow the engine seals in my Mercedes. Big problem, zero accountability. I’m 45, this is the worst shop I’ve come across in my 30 years. If they wreck your car you’ll have to sue. You’ll get zero from them otherwise.

You WILL over pay, and if you don’t pay close attention to the work being performed DURING your car’s service, there might be further damage to your vehicle after it is serviced at this location!!!Had a starter replaced. Quoted 6 hours labor and a $1200 charge to fix. Being on a business trip 3 hours away from home, stranded, I frustratingly, accepted my situation...truck sat over the weekend. Now, 2 days behind schedule and still needing a vehicle, I impatiently waitied in the lobby, watching through the window, I saw my truck on the rack with an occasional tech come and go. After several hours waiting, I finally got my keys, paid, and hit the road. Stopped about 30 minutes later to refuel. When I got out of my truck I smelled antifreeze. Opened my hood and the radiator was spewing and the cap was resting under the hood inside the windshield wiper trench...after calling Midas to ask why the radiator was even touch, I was told it was routine to drain the radiator when replacing a starter.Not only did I overpay, I’m lucky to still have a vehicle...Had I kept driving my engine could’ve blown.After getting home, I took the truck to my local mechanic who flushed and refilled my radiator then gave the truck a once over underneath to make sure I’m safe on the road, as I feel unsafe and unsettled after my experience at Midas.

Tire pressure light came in while driving so stopped in and they were exceptionally nice. Checked all 4 tires, added some air and I was on my way. Definately have great service.

Good service quickly for routine maintenance

Ive been coming to Mikes for nearly ten years because of their impeccable and quality service. I trust them to tell me if theres something wrong, and sometimes I walk out without needing anything done. I will continue to support the American Tire crew for as long as Im in Nashville.

They are good to change your tires and your brakes, but do not ask them to anything else. I brought a car to do a pre-purchase inspection, and they did a terrible job. They just told me that the tires need to be replaced, which is absolutely not the case. I brought the car to another mechanic and he told me that the car has big issue (a hole in the floor so the water get inside the floor, the front light need to be replaced, the car was a salvage car previously and it has a damaged door, the compressor is leaking, etc...) How can the guys from midas didnt figure out all those things ??? Did they even take a look at the car ? I really doubt it.... GO elsewhere.

These professional, highy trained mechanics and staff are always under control, very personal with me and my car. I feel confident about the work they do. Ive been a customer for 5 plus years. Highly recommend ✌🤓

Took my vehicle in due to a flat tire. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. They were unable to patch the tire due to rim damage, but ordered a new tire that came in the same afternoon! Highly recommend them!

Weve taken all 4 of our cars here for 15 years at least. We have bought tires, oil changes, and had all sorts of work done. If they could not do the work, theyve referred us to the car dealership. They are honest, quick and totally dedicated to excellent service and customer satisfaction.

Could not have asked for a worse experience. I sat there for over 3 hours to be told that my tire could not be repaired and they did not have one in stock. I understand that not all tires can be fixed and that all sizes can be kept in stock but to keep someone until 3 hours is poor customer service. They waited until they were about to close to tell me which prevented me from going anywhere else. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. GREAT SCHEME!

Good place they do a great job

Performed unauthorized work during routine oil change. Then they told me I needed new brakes and rotors. I went to Kaya’s corner to get a second opinion. They told me my brakes were good for at least 10k more miles with no rotor involvement. I called Midas to allow them the opportunity to explain why they would tell me I needed new brakes when I didnt. They said that when the brakes get close to %15 they recommend new brakes so that “they don’t get into the rotors.”..this might fly except that they told me I needed new rotors.Unless you enjoy overpaying for unnecessary work, go somewhere else.

I spent the whole day there getting my brakes fixed! But it waa worth it. Now I am braking!😁😁 will be back to get the rest of the car done!

Wow, I’m disappointed. Be aware of a high mark-up on parts! After using Goodyear/American Tire for years, my confidence has been shaken, since the shop changed to Midas. The mechanics, their diagnostics & labor still seem fine; but, the cost for parts was twice as much than what I purchased at a different shop - & that was for a lesser quality part (a sub-par ignition coil cost $110). Also, a standard spark plug installed at Midas cost me 18% more than a platinum plug at another shop - something doesn’t feel right. Bottom-line: Watch the markup on parts... it is high and seemingly would take advantage of unsuspecting people.

Great shop. They dont try and upsell you on parts you dont need. We take all our vehicle there.

Told my friend her car needed a new gas tank for $400 plus labor and new fuel lines installed. Took to another mechanic and they repaired a 2 hose leak for $25

There is not an option for 0 stars. I went in over the weekend to find out what the Hot smell that was coming from the back tires. I waited for an Hour and a half with some workers coming in and out of the waiting area to watch the football game on the TV. When they finally did get to my car they did offer to take me out and look at the brakes. I was told that the brakes in the back were grinding metal on metal. The guy gave me my quote and said it would 555 for 1 hour 30 minutes of work. I decided that it was not worth it and had them put my tires back on. Today I went to budget brake off of Nolensville Pike and they distinctly showed me that I still had plenty of time left to change my Brakes. Frustrated I asked them for a reliable mechanic that would be around. They offered to check things out for me quickly and what do you know they found a plastic bag melting on the exhaust pipe on my car.

These folks do a fabulous job. Excellent work for a very reasonable price.

07/31/18 - Ive learned this is no longer an American Tire. Its now Belle Meade Tire. Most of the staff Ive know since I started taking my cars there 15+ years ago is gone, including manager Mike (McHenry?) who was always such a straight shooter and saved me money when he could have done unnecessary repairs and I wouldnt have known the difference. Worse, they do not have anyones service records anymore. Worse still, because of that, they are not honoring any warranties or guarantees even if the customer can provide receipts. It also seems like their prices are a little higher - I paid $115 for an oil change and two wiper blades today. Im going to start looking for another place.
